Review Run Amuk - Fremantle

Paul Draskovich
Fantastic place. The owners who have run this place for 10 years richly deserve the accolades that they get. Their hotdog choices are second to none. I ate at a well known restaurant down the road from here and in the end came to Run Amok for some food that was a lot more interesting in every way.

These were so good! So much flavour! The restaurant was small but perfect in size. Cute little booths and stools to sit on. The wall was covered in cute little toy cars. There were American beverages to purchase. Next time I want to try the Reese’s peanut butter and chocolate milkshake. Will definitely be coming back again!

As a fan of Hotdogs I was overjoyed to find this gem :) great service and atmosphere. When the food arrived my mouth watered, my hotdog was full of flavour and the accompanying ingredients were a match made in heaven. Washed it all down with a Malteser shake and it was a great experience :)

I love that place. The hot dogs 🌭 are really delicious 😋!!! And for the first time I tasted the French fries 🍟 and they were good too. The staff is really welcoming. I'll go again.

Hi there, I tried sending an email through but couldn't find a contact email address. I stepped into this establishment today as I was on my way from South Freo and one of my friends insisted that I go try out these hot dogs. I was welcomed by a lovely cashier. The young lady helped me out with recommendation as it was my first time and so I chose The ratbag and added avocado/guacamole. I also opted for a portion of chips and a drink that I highly recommend to anybody. It was my first time drinking that limey Mexican soda drink and it was superb! :) Working as a waitress for many years previously myself, I appreciated a friendly face and without relentless sales trying me to buy more items. I thought the food was quite tasty, the cheese kransky was a great choice and the addition of avocado was a fab idea. Not sure what it would taste like without it but I would assume it would be missing it as with it it was perfect. The only critique regarding the hot dog I would have is that I would've preferred the cheese to have been melted under a grill for a few seconds rather than just have been put on top. The reason why I have given it a 3star rating is the following: I firstly ate the chips as was waiting for the sausage to cool down. The food came out 12.53 and until the last 4 bites nobody came to ask me how it was. Luckily it was yummy so in this case that wasn't such a big deal. What I found dreadful was that as I sat in the booths inside (I was the only customer there at the time) and the young cashier came to check on my food at about 1:05, she then stepped away and started moving the tables and chairs on the 'other side' of the restaurant (about 2m away from me). I tried to not be bothered by it and I was alright until another lady came and started sweeping the floor (like properly sweeping ..). I was still eating at that point and I literally stuffed the last few bites and stood up and left as I felt rushed and like I wasn't supposed to be there. And that was after I have pretty much upgraded to every possible option. I was a paying customer at an open eatery, at lunchtime. Sweeping the floor of the eating area not even 2m away from me was beyond inappropriate, even if I was the only customer!

Toppings were nice, but the veggie sausage was a little disappointing, seemed microwaved from frozen, then pan fried. They would do better to use a mock meat sausage like beyond meat or another alternative that is abit juicier. Had the Ninja which needed something a little extra under the rice to avoid being dry.

Big love for this place! staff are always friendly and the hotdogs are always deadly! Their milkshakes are some of the best I've had in Australia
Bee Rob
Love coming here, everyone is so friendly. Milkshake are amazing and chips are delicious. Family loves the hotdog. I’m not a fan of the pork sausages (I’m fussy though) but they smelll so good! Definitely worth trying!

The best hotdogs in the west and the best fries in the world cannot recommend this place enough

The Punk has been reason enough to drive 40 mins to Run Amuk almost weekly for a couple of years now. We are very relieved it made the cut in the new menu! The people at Run Amuk are awesome and they've never missed a beat on our order! Highly recommend a visit (or hundred)
Jodie Lagana
Delicious - and so grateful for the vegetarian and gluten free options. It was also refreshing to have staff who knew exactly what was gluten free :)

Been in WA travelling round for 6 months now and can honestly say this place is so friendly. Jodey the owner took time to talk to us about his and his girlfriends dream of opening somewhere to Wow people's minds with their food and this is it. Well worth a visit and we will def be back!!

I have been going to this place since it first opened!!! Bare carless walls, a sailor dude on the wall and most of all amazing food. Since then the quality has never dropped and I would go there every day if I could. Don't miss out on this awesome place and the crew there are legends!!!
Peter Fowler
So good the food was I ended up having two hot dogs I would recommend this place to anyone Great food Great service

Can not give this store enough of a thumbs up. Best service in fremantle and the staff are legends. Freo needs more places like Run Amuk! Long live the scoundrel!
Lori Alexander
Never a bad experience here! Staff are always great and food is always amazing!!
Pui Saan
Delicious. Love the choices available and service is awesome. Would have liked more choices with my bratwurst meat though but still loved every bite. Crunchy on the outside and soft, flavourful meat inside. Greatly balanced with toppings and condiments. Would def return!

Was lucky enough to win a hotdog feast for myself and a friend! Everything was super yummy and filling! Will definitely be back for more!!
Wendy Burgess-Hordon
Great quick friendly service and good portion size. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

One of our favourite places in Perth! Such an incredible menu for hotdog lovers, too many amazing choices! Love the different specials & the Reece's shakes are awesome! Great dogs, great fries, great shakes, great service & great atmosphere. The new wall also looks epic guys!!

Got the vegetarian sausage and it was great! Yum fries too

Ordered:
- The Brat (vegan sausage, minus mustard)
- Dare Devil
- The Ratbag (veggie sausage)
- Shoestring fries with garlic aioli and sweet chilli mayo

The Brat: caramelised onions and tomato sauce mixed well with the bread, however the vegan sausage was dense and was difficult to eat after a few bites.
Dare Devil: sauce and spices - good, bun - good, meat - gooooood. Only change/modification - find a way to fit everything into one bite.
The Ratbag: veggie sausage was a winner compared to the vegan sausage. All the other ingredients mixed in well with each other despite the size being hard to put in your mouth in one go.
Shoestring fries: crispy and fresh; no complaints here.
Would come back to try out other hot dog combinations!
Dan W
The sausage here is good, but everything else is pretty average. I appreciate the casual atmosphere and the fact that they have tried to be creative with their flavours but for the $15, I expected just a little more in terms of taste.

We tried the Bahn Mi and the Rascal, one with a gluten free bun and another with the standard. It's problematic when your gluten free bun may be better. The normal bun fell apart.

The flavours are good, I appreciated the crackling in particular on the Bahn mi special. However they lacked balance and I wanted something a bit bolder. It certainly did not taste like an actual Bahn mi, and that aside it lacked that extra bit of oomph.

I can see why this place is popular, however I doubt I'll be returning.

I came here with family for late lunch on a Sunday. The place was busy, but we were able to secure a table. Service was super friendly and prompt. The hot dogs are great - so tasty.
Ricky Emilius
Tasty hot dogs! Had breakfast dog and ninja dog when we were here and they were delicious. Literally all breakfast foods, well cooked bacon, baked beans, hash brown, scrambled eggs on bratwurst, buns topped with bbq, mayo and hollandaise sauce. Delicious! Wifey had ninja which is asian inspired taste, i cant remember exactly what they put in it other than rice, pickled ginger but it did gave interesting flavour and after taste. Cute and cozy little place too with hundreds or maybe thousands of toy cars on the walls. Will definitely come back to try the other dogs!

Update: came back again and decided to do this late review, tried the scoundrel and dare devil with the ginger lemonade this time. And again very satisfied. I can see myself coming back here again. If only we live closer.

Love this place. All hot dogs love it. Love the customer service, the food the atmosphere. Not a lot of tables but growing. Milkshakes are great and fries cooked perfect every time. Definitely hit it up.

One of the best hot dogs I've had in Oz. Ordered the Scroundrel: bun was tasty, bratwurst was delicious, bavarian sweet mustard was great. A deceptively simple hot dog, but everything is done so well that it works perfectly together. Reece's peanut butter choc shake was great too. Staff are really friendly and love the inside deco. Highly recommended.

Came back to try some more hot dogs: the Rude Boy and the Ratbag, which were both great although my personal fav is still the Scoundrel. The chips are excellent.

The best hot dogs I have ever had! Been here so many times and everytime it’s been amazing! The rascal is so good! Definitely recommend. Always busy and service is always good
Roni
Little bit pricey but definitely the best hotdogs around. Lots of choice and their coleslaw is yummy too! Staff are super friendly also. A must try if you’re looking for a change.
TH87
Small and simple place, the hot dogs are outstanding, the Elvis , special for this month was a very weird mixture of flavour that works perfectly, I'll go again!
Tiffany May
The doggos were so good here, we came especially for the peabnut bubber reeses milkshake. So thick and has so much flavour and texture to it and the chunks of reeses pieces too!

The doggos were nice, flavourful and juicy. The spinach added a nice touch to it. Very very generous serving size. However, the chips weren't great. They were a little soft and cold.

Tables and decor was super cool and had find Wally all over the tables. Very cool. Very swag. I like it.

10/10 would come back for shake and doggos
PerthStorm
been meaning to go here for ages and finally got here today and it was worth it!
Excellent fresh hot dogs and friendly service..also try the milkshakes..omg!!!

If you enjoy hotdogs, this is the place to go for gourmet dogs in Perth. The guys at Run Amuk have hit the nail on the head by focusing on one thing and doing it to perfection. The brats themselves are nice and meaty (vegan sausage available for $1 extra), the toppings always taste fresh and the flavours are spot on. Portions are generous so if you get a dog, fries and a drink, you'll have to be rolled out of the door when you're done!

My only (rather petty) criticism is that the pimped up dogs are so messy to eat and I ended up dropping pico de gallo all over the table/seat/floor/myself trying to eat it.
Emmy
ordered takeaway. friendly service and fast. ordered the brat and the scoundrel with fries in the side. delicious! grabbed our takeaway and sat on the beach enjoying Fremantle sunset
MiTandean
Pretty funky place to eat and chillout for a hotdog. Love the creativity and the variety of hotdogs they sell. But in the end $15 for a gourmet hotdog is a bit rich for me especially when i can make a pretty mean weisswurst hotdog myself..
Fred
My 4 year old and I enjoyed fantastic hotdogs here. My hotdog (mischief) bun was filled with toppings nice fresh, crisp and crunchy. Had a side of fries with the sweet chilli mayo dip. Very good cooked fresh so nice and hot and not soggy. My little girl had a puppy dog meal which came with a good serve of fries and an uncomplicated hotdog which she demolished. We were there at 4.30pm so was quiet. with the quality of the food I can imagine it getting very busy for a venue with limited seating. I would highly recommended this place and can't wait to go back and try another delicious hotdog.
Affili.atewithfood
This is a great little local place dishing up great big hotdogs! Always busy. Worth the wait, especially when the tables are covered in Where's Wally?!
Sludge
What an awesome concept! Beautiful gourmet hotdogs and a multitude of flavours/ combinations. And delicious sides for only $4. Funky place and warm staff. It's great to see this place succeed
Ashleigh Marie
Delicious. Fresh. Love this place. Excellent quality and friendly staff. I always get The Punk and a milkshake. Highly recommend. Please start serving onion rings.

Pretty mad,
Got here at 7:30 for a $5 chilli dog, and they had ran out. Staff could not speak english and was a very confusing and frustrating experience.

Living close to Freo, run amuk has been somewhere I regularly visit. I love grabbing a hotdog and going down to south beach to watch the sunset!
The food comes out super fast, the service is great, the food is consistently delicious and I LOVE the chips!
I recommend the ninja- sounds so weird to have rice on a hot dog but it definitely works!
Carmen Wong
The food is hands-down a yes for me - so good! The sausages were tender on the outside and moist on the inside, yeap probs my new fav fast food place. I ordered the one with sauerkraut mmm super good. The ambience is super chill and dope, having that nice little American street vibe. The staff is super friendly as well. With price, food quality, service and ambience taken into account, 4/5 for me👌🏼
Shirley
Always a good freo joint for cheap eats and chill settings!
Has a really good vegetarian selection as well. Always go back when I'm feeling something filling and cheap
Joodie.f
Lovely little place, very urban and laid back. Very helpful staff. The waitress offered to keep an eye on my dogs while I go to the bathroom. Real French fries and several vegetarian and vegan options!
Zoodle
Nicely done hotdogs, flavourful and fresh. A tad expensive (considering it's just a hot dog, even though it is tasty). The $5 milk shake is very worth the money and absolutely delish!
The menu indicates chili levels, though I think they have been very cautious with these ratings. I could barely taste any chili in the ones we ordered, even though they were marked 1 & 2 n the chili scale.
Overall not a bad meal for a sunday night. I wouldn't hesitate going back for more.
Kane_smith24
Well worth the trek to Fremantle.

Am slowly working through the many different variations on the menu and am yet to have a bad hot dog here.

Chips here are addictive and the milkshakes here are good too.
Mo Loves Chilli
Had the veggie mischief hot dog
The veggie sausage was so dry and bland!!
The sauces and additions were really nice but so much bread it took over the other flavours.
JO
Saw the rave reviews and we were excited to try these supposedly spectacular hotdogs. While they are very filling and were served really fast, we were very underwhelmed by the hotdogs themselves and thought that this place was pretty overrated. Loved the vanilla malt milkshake thooooo. – Josh & Jo

The best gourmet hot dogs in Perth. So delicious. I tried the punk and it was awesome. The milkshake and fries with aioli were also good. The place has a nice vibe with cool decor and the staff were all friendly and greeted us and thanked us when leaving.
I had the gluten free bun and it was good ($1.50 extra).
Nom Nom Nom
Yum yum yum! Best hotdogs in town, and I love the choccy bars from the US that they have in the fridge ☺️
Fixes a hangover like nothing else!

Great food. Friendly staff. What more is there to say about a place. Been a few times and look forward to going everytime. If you like hotdogs go to this place. You won't be disappointed.

Update. Now 5 stars for consistency. I just can't get enough of this place and the anticipation of the experience has not lessened.
Chloe-eats
Fun venue with delicious hot dogs and efficient service! I had the minx hot dog with a vegetarian sausage. The toppings were all delicious but I found the sausage a little dry. Would definitely come here again though!

Visited Tuesday lunch. Staff were friendly, explained how it all works and equally friendly customers agreed to swap our outdoor seats for indoor ones as my wife had hurt her back and the outdoor drummer stools had no support.

We ordered a Stumbles and a Mischief and a portion of fries. The bun was hot, nicely toasted without being dry; the "dog" seemed high quality - reminiscent of Elmars' Bratwurst. Everything was going swimmingly - until the hot bun and sizzling sausage combo was stymied by stone cold packet-tasting salsa and equally frigid pre-grated cheese complete with stabilisers. For $13, I would expect a fresh salsa and at the very least a dribble of gooey and, above all, hot Chile con Queso; not the stone cold Cheddar of dubious provenance topped our Dogs (People, this is like Champagne, Cheddar is a unique product of its terroir). The fries were of the McCains shoestring variety and no-one bothered frying them in beef tallow to make them taste great.

Once things get negative, it is hard not to find the little faults and having to watch the kitchen commis butchering his way through a batch of capsicums slowly, with a blunt knife, too little space and zero training was excruciating.

My wife disliked it. I saw the fun, the die-cast cars and the good quality sausage. I also saw the 5 members of staff, 2 of which did very little. We both agreed, if there were to be fresher ingredients, it could be fun.
Alfredo Meloni
Wow!! Great dogs....really like what theyve done in this place...reasonable prices too....excellent service...i wish i had more hands - i would give this place 4 thumbs up!!!
Megan Speake
Don't even think twice get yourself there immediately. Couldn't name a favourite dog but the home made lemonade is the best! I've come here alone and I've come with friends - never been disappointed.
The Iron Fist
Run Amuk is a really great hot dog joint and definitley the best in the state. Tried the Jeezable and the Punk and boy oh boy did they deliver! These Dog's are packed with flavor and the dogs themselves are crispy and cooked very well. The Punk($13) has Caramalised Onion's and Bacon Bits which really provide a great crunch,The Mustard,BBQ Sauce and Tomato Sauce were perfect and not over used. The cheddar cheese wasn't completley melted which in turn made the dog taste extra special .The Jeezable($14) had a unique accommodation of flavors including pineapple, corriander, chilli flakes and a sweet chilli mayo sauce to top it off, the combination of these flavor was extremly well thought out as they complement one another excellently. The Buns were well suited to the texture of the saussage and were very fluffy. The Fries($4) were well salted, light and tasty. I Would recommend ordering a couple of sweet chilli mayo dips ($1.50) as they go really well with the hot dog and fries.Service was Fast And Friendly.

P.S Definitley order a Reece's Peanut Butter Milkshake as it really caps of the whole meal.
" THE " CRITIC
Wow! Food was actually good! Love the piggy back and steak burger! The chicken was a little dry. Service was pretty good as well. Would definitely come back again.
Alan King Bowden
Cool hot dog spot, nothing spectacular compared to what comes out of the USA, however I'd imagine these dogs are slightly better for you. Great options available and overall great taste.
Oiaimee
Just peeking into the windows here, I did not feel 'cool' enough to be eating here with the hundreds of matchbox and hot wheel cars stuck to the wall and bus seat booths (I'm not a very cool person). However, the very friendly greeting we received from behind the counter as soon as we walked in assured us that we were very welcome there.

We ordered a Jezabel hotdog and a pretzel hotdog, fries and a chocolate shake.

The jezabel one came with bacon and pineapple, chilli mayo and came with a plump hotdog and was so plumped up it was a little difficult to hold and eat but it was tasty. I wonder whether when they added it to their menu if it was because they wanted to be more controversial than pineapple on pizza. The other hotdog, the pretzel, appeared to be smaller but was actually quite filling too. It came with currywurst sauce which was really quite moreish.

The fries were nicely thin and crispy and the shake was nice and thick both complemented the hot dogs.

When we left we were waved goodbye with a genuinely friendly wave from behind the counter which I wouldn't have expected from a fast food place but it was a nice touch.
La Gastronomique
I've had a few hotdogs @ Run amuk. Consistently good with the same attention to detail every time. It's simple bratwurst with whatever combo takes your fancy. I like the cold water provided in the fridge...nice move run amuk

Very popular due to their great hotdogs & service.

Ben
$13 for a hotdog! A bit overpriced and too cool for school for my liking. Had the punk hotdog, nothing to write home about. I will not be returning.
Breeze
Ohhhh yeah!! Best hotdogs I've had!! 🌭
Run Amuk use fresh ingredients and take hot dog toppings to a new level. The store is retro and fun, great for a catch up with mates or a quickly sneaky one with the bf.
My favourite is the Jezabel (pineapple & coconut) and their Reece's pieces shake is the bomb diggity too!
Foodie In Paradise
Really enjoyed the hotdog bun at this place. The menu is simple but they offer some interesting flavor combinations. Homemade lemonade and chips were great too. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.
The only downside is the price for what it is, around $10 for a hotdog bun.
Brkfastlover
My wife and I felt like having fast food for a change but we didn't want your normal run of the mill type of fast food from the known fast food places(we have never been big fans) so we decided to go to Run Amuk. I ordered the Chilli Dawg and my wife ordered The Rascal. It wasn't long before our order arrived and let me tell you we enjoyed every bite! There's not too many places that can put together a Hot Dog like Run Amuk.

TheDaniel0813
Not much needs to be said. Amazing hot dog combos, that taste ridiculously good! Plenty of options to cater for everyone's different tastes - always looking forward to the next visit!
Dan The Cake Man
I love the quieter South Freo, and it is good to have such a great variety of foodie destination options. Run Amuk is one of these places that offers something different and does it well. Ordering is at the counter, and the lady was very friendly and happy to have a first timer to their place. I ordered the brat, chips and the homemade lemonade. Since it was sunny I decided to sit on the drum swivel seats out the front; nice place to watch Freo pass by. My food and drink arrived quickly. The brat looked wonderfully delicious and it tasted exceptionally good. The bratwurst was the real deal with bags of flavour and cooked perfectly it went well with the caramelised onions and the mustard and tomato sauce. Pure delight! The chips were also very good. I loved the homemade lemonade; well flavoured and slight kick of ginger. Definitely will be back to try other options.
Perth Foodie
Best hot dogs in Perth. The atmosphere and the hot dogs were great.
The coleslaw tasted homemade and awesome.
Really good place to chill with friends in Fremantle.
Han
Always a good spot to hang out casually with friends. Hotdogs are delicious and are not like any other around perth.

Staff are friendly and helpful - cool vibe about the place - think 80s diner setting. byo alcohol is a plus too!

Would recommend.
Joanne Hogan
These hotdogs are amazing! So many choices and all are great! Bratwurst sausages, sauerkraut, mustard, relish, etc YUM! The chips are great too. We love this place for a take out during the week.
Thekittaysmeow
Staff were very nice and friendly, cool decor and a great idea... but not sure what the hype about $13 hotdogs is about? Perhaps I had high expectations?
Stan Max
Nice little spot in south Freo to enjoy this hotdog. The menu was simple yet delicious and the price it dies not cost an arm and leg. Service is great and the decor is absolutely retro with the old bus car seat type and also a drum stool. The only down side if you are bringing a pram for the little one as the place is quite small and have a limited space. Overall experience is a great and will be back more often.
Believeinyourself
Vegan and gluten free options and all dogs are tasty and filling. It's fast 'gourmet' food at its best, definitely a hot spot in freo to visit.
Cinder
Great, tasty hot dogs at a good price. A business that has hit the mark, and is doing things really well. Only criticism...our hot dogs didn't have butter in them. Essential to the perfect hot dog in my opinion! Close to perfect however. Gluten free options very pleasing.
Ben Goodman
not bad. First time I had The Punk and it kind of fell apart and went everywhere. The next time i had the Rukus, which i would recommend. I think that there is some room to improve, but for simple eats they're doing a good job.

Best Hot digity dogs in perth!
Fast friendly service!
Belive the hype!
That is all 🤘

And here is the rest of my 140 characters you requested zomato...

A lovely change from the burger craze at the moment. We arrived 30 minutes after opening and it was already packed. Great customer service by a lovely lady who explained to us the menus - straight forward but she was so nice to explain anything can vego. Very lovely vibe, quick service and great dogs to boot. Fries were perfect and the aloli actually tasted like garlic. Cold table water from the fridge is available as is self serve for napkins, tomato sauce etc. Highly recommended. Under 30 for two. This has now ruined dodgy Bunnings snags now 😆
Alex & Michelle
Have Been coming here for years. Hot dogs are the best around. With some really different fillings. Love their monthly themed hot dogs.
Great chips and shakes.
Staff are friendly.
We try and come during the day as it can get very busy in the evening and the place is pretty small.

Banana Tits
Super friendly staff and great food!! I was pleasantly surprised at the serving sizes of the dogs as well. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else off the menu.
Cornflakegirl
Wednesday 9th March

So so good, staff are friendly love the where's Wally tables and bus and drum stool seats. And the hotdogs are just great. Cheap eats at there best
Tony The Terrible
Run Amuk serves the best hot dogs in Perth. The restaurant is quirky. They put all sorts of weird things in their hot dogs like corn chips but it works and tastes delicious. This restaurant has matchbox cars stuck to the walls and old bus seats are used as restaurant chairs. This place makes me reminisce my high school years because I can play where's Wally whilst eating my meal. The tables are covered in pages of Where's Wally. Where's Wally was the only book I ever read in high school.

I really enjoy the Mischief hot dog and the fries with tomato relish dipping sauce. I have never been disappointed from my visits to this restaurant.
Helen
Run amuk is great for a casual feed. A long list of various hot dog toppings. All can be made vegan by substituting the bratwurst sausage for a vegetarian sausage and substituting various fillings. I always get the dare devil but substitute the cheese and sour cream for avocado, it's chilli hot hot hot! I love the homemade ginger and lemonade and it's byo if you fancy something stronger.
Lulu's Opinion
Didn't really get the hype about this place. The food was yum but expensive for what it was. I think it's a nice concept though. ...........
Truth Be Told Australia
From the moment we walked in this little place had attitude and a great vibe. Not really into hot dogs (Probably because I have never had a decent one like these) however I was pleasantly surprised. We had the The Rascal, and it was delicious. The coleslaw is the best I have had in a long time and the bbq sauce and combination of the moist bratwurst was an absolute winner. Staff were on the ball and the place had a very cool vibe. Chips were fresh and went down fabulously.

The homemade lemonade was nice but not worth $5.00. The staff came over twice to make sure we were happy, we would definitely return to this little gem.
LittleGirlBigFood
Is alright! Good sangas. Is it fast food? Yes it is!
Muse
my hotdog didn't wow me but worth a try as the place has character and something different. service was pretty good. id like to return and try another dog but for what it is its a little pricey and may deter me.
Boyuan Pang
This place looked amazing from the outside, the decor was so retro and tastefully put together.

Went to this place because it was rated 4.8 but their hotdogs have some room for improvement. There were some wacky flavour combinations that sounded fun to try, but when we got them, there was nothing super special to make us say WOW.
The bratwurst sausages were pretty great, but the hotdogs came with unmelted shredded cheese. I think this makes the cheese taste a bit too strong and dry, I would've enjoyed it more if was melted. The chips were pretty average but it's a shame I didn't get to try any of the drinks :(
Wags Out West
Run Amuk is an American themed hot dog restaurant located in the row of gourmet take-outs on South Terrace in Fremantle. I don’t even really like hot dogs but I’m addicted to these, as are my whole family (Two and four legged). When Annie isn’t feeling very well we take her for a plain bun-less ‘dog as a treat. Everyone I’ve taken to Run Amuk has been impressed with the food and pleasantly surprised.
J Smith
Premium quality hotdogs, friendly service in a casual atmosphere. Sooo many hotdogs to try but rukus is a fav with prosciutto, lime sambal. They're consistently good and efficient.
Sol_n_chai
Fresh and tasty. Great service by the staff who came up to inform us of dietary needs and highly popular dishes. Lovely array of hot dog assortments to choose from. Would come back again if I was in the area.
Perth Foodaholic
Pictured: the punk – bratwurst, bacon, caramelised onions, cheddar, mustard, tomato and bbq sauce $13. Hotdogs, get your hotdogs! Another quirky café in Fremantle. It has toy cars glued on the wall and Where’s Wally plastered on the tables. There are different creative toppings you can choose from and it’s not your typical hotdog you would get from Bunnings. Run Amuk make their own bratwurst which are juicy and good quality. It used to be in the Entertainment – buy one get one free. However this offer has since been removed. Each month they have a different ‘flavour of the month’ you can try.

I just don't know what is the attraction here... GF bun was dry and crumbly, sauce overpowering and onions undercooked, hotdog was lukewarm. Not worth the drive from vic park.
Peanutbutt
Love the ambient it's casual and the food was nice -/ will definitely come back again !
Cool Retro setting- after meal stroll down the street for walkabout

Situated in the south side of Fremantle, this small hotdog shop is very popular for takeaway and a tasty meal after hitting the beach. Served by friendly waitstaff, it's also pet friendly and fast. We were finally able to get to this place and try out a couple of their items. Had the Jezebel - quite a heavy hotdog with the cheese, bacon and pineapple, but it wasn't spicy at all unlike the menu description. Also had the Hi Jinks - this was a refreshing hotdog on the other hand due to the mint yoghurt sauce and the cucumbers, very light and gulped up in no time! Delicious. The bratwurst used in the hotdogs were nice and juicy. Hotdogs with a twist, definitely can see the attraction.

Run Amuk is the best!!!!! I have dreams about eating the incredible rukus....it is like pure hotdog heaven...not just you average dog. Service is always friendly and fast too. I love the fun vibe the owners have created. I'll drive up from down south just to come visit this place.
Perth Culinary
went there last week. The service is excellent but the food is overrated in my opinion. Its a normal ordinary hotdog with a lot of hype and fancy names

I enjoyed my meal at Run Amuk, but I feel like I'd have to come back try a few different hot dogs before I could say I love it. However, I do love that they will make any of their hot dog variations vegan!
Lyv To Eat
Friday, the first day of my weekend, time to loosen the belt, whip out my food bucket list and go food hunting. Last Friday, Mr. T asked me to join him for lunch, I was more than happy to oblige, and as he was working in Fremantle, we decided on hotdogs at Run Amuk. We've been here once before, but made the mistake of having snacks first at the market, leaving very little room in our bellies. This time we came prepared, minimal breakfast for maximum hot dog intake.

I love this place. From the quirky interior display (little toy cars stuck to the wall!), to the tables/chairs (bus seats! Where is wally table entertainment and drummer stools).. This place is like an eatery for kids with money!

Kids love hotdogs. But the hotdogs they serve aren't your normal run of the mill hotdogs or the ones you get outside Bunnings. They serve firm juicy bratwurst in a roll (sounds all sorts of wrong but I don't care). They top these long firm juicy hotdogs with the freshest ingredients and amazing condiments!

I love this place and you should too!

Nice gourmet doggies perfect for a weekend lunch. The service was exceptional when we visited and the food was amazing! Nice change on a normal hot dog with plenty of different options of toppings. Will visit again

Such a cool idea - hot dogs with creative toppings. I am never disappointed when coming here however, the only thing letting them down is how small it is! Amazing but very tiny for how popular it is.
The New Forker
Tasty, delicious and very filling hotdogs!
Visited this place a few weeks ago with my sister and mum.. After driving past this place place every time we drive into Freo we finally decided to stop and see what all the fuss is about!
I had the RUKUS and could barely finish! A premium bratwurst with with A chilli/lime sambal, crispy prosciutto, spinach, cheddar, sour cream & jalapeños.
We had been wanting to try for a while and were not disappointed. First thing noticed was the staff are just lovely and so helpful, there was a great vibe in this place... Service was fast. Be great if the place was a little bigger so there was more room to sit.

I always have the high jink (mango chutney with yoghurt and spinach) with a vegetarian sausage and gluten free bun and it's soooo good. I love that I can go out for hotdogs but still have a healthier version that is YUMMY! The chips are shoestring chips and are really good.. With a choice of a few sauces, we always get aoli. My boyfriend always gets "the punk" hot dog and loves it.

**update* the Reece's peanut buttercup thickshake is AMAZING!!! If you have a sweet tooth and a thing for chocolate/peanut butter.. Do yourself a favor!

The staff are ALWAYS helpful. I love how when it's busy they come and greet you and help you get to the counter etc so you don't feel overwhelmed. Honestly this is some of the best customer service I've ever seen. Well done guys!

awesome huge selection of "hipster style" hotdogs. you know, the type with incredible toppings, not just bun,dog and sauce.

have not been dissapointed with any of my visits there.
drum stools/thrones are cool to sit on.

friendly staff and fairly decent service times.
Chels Badger
My favourite place to eat in Fremantle. My usual order is the Punk with half the cheese under the sausage and half on top with added guacamole. They do the best gluten free bread rolls I've ever tasted and it's worth keeping an eye on their speciality hotdogs ( if you look at the side of the drink fridge you can see all the past speciality dogs). Their lemonade and coleslaw is also another personal fave of mine. The service is always exceptional no matter what time of the day. This place is a pure Fremantle gem. I love you Run Amuk
xx Swiftie

Best hot dogs in town. This place is always super busy. Follow them on Facebook for specials and competitions. Good range of dogs. The home made lemonade with ginger is great.

Update: apparently they do not allow two people to share a loyalty card. This is pretty upsetting and I've never heard of ANY place that has loyalty cards to refuse to stamp a loyalty card because someone else has already used it that day. I didn't appreciate the tone the staff member had when they informed me of this because it felt like they were implying we were trying to sneak it past them but honestly, I've never heard of such a thing. You'd think a place called 'Run Amuk' which serves hotdogs with names like Minx, Rascal, Scoundrel (and so on) would be a little bit more cool about stuff like that.

Regardless, February's special Sushi hotdog was pretty good, don't know if I'd get it again because the combination of rice and bread makes it a bit heavy. Nice flavours though.

The best hot dogs I've ever had, so many amazing combinations it's hard to choose which one to order. They have a perfect amount of each element in the bun and it's a regular dinning spot for myself and boyfriend.

Love this place! Hot dogs are absolutely delish. Hell cool artsy interior with booths. Great milkshakes/American sodas - what more could you want :)
Cat Food
Been here a couple times and I'm never disappointed. The atmosphere is cool, and fun. And the hotdogs are great. I really appreciate being able to get vegedog replacement.

Great for vegetarians looking for a delicious hot dog fix!

Always an absolute pleasure to eat at Run Amuk! I've been coming here for a few years now and it never gets old. The vibe, food and staff are amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone ( I always do)! Thanks Run Amuk for providing awesome hot dogs for veggie lovers! ❤️

Nice hotdog! But actually I prefer take away since they only sell fast food. So I would be more happy to know if they have food trucks running everywhere in the city.
Klassy
Love the hotdogs here, so tasty and interesting! We are vegetarian and love that we could have any item on the menu with the vegan sausage option. Would like to go and eventually try everything on there. The fries were good too. Definitely worth the 20mins walk we took from Fremantle.

Best tasting hotdogs in town! Loved every bite and the whole atmosphere of this place. Very unique and friendly service. The prices are reasonable and worth every penny.

Yummy!!! Wow hotdogs on steroids.... They are great... The staff are friendly and the tables keep the big and small kids entertained with "Where's Wally".
Kickin' It In WA
It's our weekly mid-week 'take away' except the place is always so clean and inviting that we dine in. Staff are fabulous. Reece's Pieces milkshake is delicious. Love the where's Wally table covers. This place is the best part about living in South Freo!!!
Nasilele Mubyana
A cafe dedicated to gourmet hot dogs! It's worked out so well for them, it would be great if they expanded to launch a mobile food truck somewhere, in addition to the cafe. Great place to kill those hot dog cravings. They have vegetation options with all their sausages, which meant I could drag my best friend along. The tables are covered with "where's Wally?" plaster, so you can look for him while you eat. Most importantly, they had Reese peanut butter cups stocked in the fridge when we went down.
Foodie
Great hotdogs, very consistent and good quality. Can't go without getting a second one for later! With out a doubt, the best hot dogs in perth. I can assure you I've had my fair share!

Tried the Rukus - good heat from the chilli and lime sambal. The ban was amazing and the sausage was tasty and good quality so it didn't repeat on you all night!

Fun atmosphere with where's Wally pages on the tables and drum stools to sit on.

Go to check this place out. Worth the drive from Kingsley, north of the river!
