Review Nunzio's Restaurant - Fremantle

Tiffany EM Lim
We arrived at 5.30pm and were highly impressed with the ambience. Service staff were very attentive to our request for warm table water. We placed our orders shortly after establishing what was on the menu and sharing possibilities. The starters were lovely. The duck ravioli arrived shortly after. We were then asked if we would like to have a break before the next dish was served, to which we declined. Unfortunately, we were left waiting for a long time after that for our next dishes (crab spaghetti). By the time our beef and chicken arrived, we had already been 2.5hours. Overall food and service was ok.

WAITED WAY TOO LONG⏳ Service: We booked table for dinner at 7:45, arrived early about 7:35, the waiter greeted us kindly to our seats. When we finished ordering, it was about 7:50 until the entree were served at 8:30. We finished our entree was 8:40, then waited for another half hour, we got our main course at 9:10. Dessert took about 10 mins to serve, only dessert service time normal. I just want to say, at that moment, there were only about 40 customers in the restaurant, and there were still many empty seats. There were three chefs in the kitchen serving 40 customers, and not all customers go to restaurant in same time. Shouldn't it take so long for service food? If it is for the quality of the food, I don't think it is reasonable, because the service type is not a fine dining and it should not spend a lot of time on garnish the meal. Food: #Scallops lacking sufficient seasoning. Bread crumbs scallop was a little burned, might add brown butter( I’m not sure). Lemon butter scallop couldn’t taste any acid from citrus, only can taste butter flavour. Pancetta scallop was nice. #Cuttlefish grilled was delicious #Linguine was over-cook, not Al Denté, this shouldn’t happen in Italian restaurant, broth was tasty #Crab spaghetti was amazing #Crème brûlée was creamy and delicate, I guess it was orange flavour

Absolutely fantastic service and authentic food - as well as amazing home made desserts!

Lovely place for celebration 🍾, food was so delicious and price was reasonable. Homemade dessert was so good. Definitely come back. We very enjoyed it.

Fabulous service and decent meals! I’m not a fan of olive, but these green one was alright, not very salty at all. Nice bread with olive oil vinegar dressing, for me I’d like to put some chili to increase a bit kick! Yeah I smashed all of it! The cuttlefish was perfectly cooked with nice and simple seasoning, the creamy ravioli was delicious, and it wasn’t too heavy or greasy. The other dish is mushroom risotto, really rich flavor and great seasoning. Also staff are all pretty approachable and friendly!

A chance walk up with a meal that didn’t disappoint. Unassuming street appearance but internally a very well presented restaurant with a wonderful cosy atmosphere. The food and drinks menu provided plenty of choices topped off by daily specials. The wine listing was very good and the food quality and service excellent. Highly recommend for a special dinner for couples or a small group.

I took my wife here for a New Year’s Eve dinner as we hadn’t been before. This place didn’t disappoint. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner. A charismatic man who was a great host. We had some Sicilian olives and bread to start along with a couple of drinks. Nunzio then offered a half bottle of Chianti Classico which was perfect as I was the only one drinking. The wine was great and went perfectly with my meal. We shared two pasta dishes, the beef Ragu and the duck ravioli. Wow that duck ravioli was incredible!! I then had the eye fillet which was cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back! Great service and a nice atmosphere and to top it off the food was great. It was the perfect way to see out the year!

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Food, to die for. Wine, top notch. Service, impeccable. Best Tiramisu ever! To top it all off the quiet relaxed and cozy setting made this dining experience one we'll never forget.

Wow, we arrived ready for a typical Freo eatery and were so happily surprised. Very underdressed😬😬.The wait staff were so perfectly professional and yet so friendly. Food is fantastic 👍🏻💕. One very lovely attentive waiter overheard my daughter mention it was my birthday and when it came time for dessert even though we only ord one, the staff bought out a beautifully decorated birthday treat for me. We will definitely be going back.

Love Nunzio’s .... ambience, staff, service, wine list and menu cannot be faulted and having Nunzio himself greet, stop by your table for a chat and serving his diners is a very special touch .... can’t wait for our next dining experience.

Absolute class! Amazing food, the squid ink fettucine is exquisite, a must have if you're seafood lover!! The service is top notch, especially from Ricardo!!

I love this place. The staff are friendly and patient, the layout is private yet connected with beautiful art on the walls and the food is delicious with generous portions. Treat yourself, it’s well worth it.
Becky Gagliardi
Hands down some of the best Italian food you will ever eat! The staff are great too coupled with the welcoming atmosphere.
Jacqueline Budiselic
One of the best in Perth for Italian food. But not just the food is brilliant, the staff are great and the Owner Nunzio is the best!
Ophie Heppy
Cozy place, great food, worth the price! Definetly we’ll be back here.
Celine Kelly
Delicious food and excellent service would most definitely dine there again and would recommend to family and friends.

What a fantastic night the food was spectacular and the wait staff were absolutely wonderful congratulations guys on five-star service

Fantastic place. Food great, service excellent, atmosphere friendly and comfortable. This was our second visit and both times have been brilliant. Tip- try to book on a Saturday night when the male opera singers and the piano accordionist are playing, they are absolutely awesome but I don't think they're there every week so check when you make your booking.

Thank you Nunzio and your amazing staff for a fantastic and truly memorable birthday dinner. From the outstanding service from your friendly and professional team, to superlative food and incredible wines, you made this a very special birthday indeed. Thanks for making our evening so special!!

Nice food, nice service, nice owner, nice staff. Memorable experience and definitely a must try restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous night. Delicious food, excellent service, and fantastic atmosphere being serenaded by amazing talent. Highly recommend

Always been a Nunzio's fan, great for special occasions. But to charge $8 for "roast potatoes" has spoiled it. Because what was served was equivalent to about 1 roast potato, not a big one either, in 1 to 2 mil thick slices. It was like eating a warm Smith's crisp with a slightly bitter taste but harder to digest. I'm ok to pay premium prices for quality food, great service and a nice atmosphere. But this was truly taking advantage. Please revert to what you used to serve called "roast potatoes" Nunzios - they were what was on the label.

Wow. Just wow! This place exceeded expectations. From the service to the food. Everything we ordered was amazing, prompt and served beautifully. I would highly recommend the zucchini flower, duck ravioli and the creme brûlée. We will definitely be back!

I don’t normally take the time out to write a review but this time I want to. Totally unexpected the venue, the choice of menu, wine choices with Chianti Classico and the food and service was really great. Congratulations Nunzio. The Duck Raviolj was perfecto. The Goat was cooked perfecto! The Service by Lisa was perfecto ! Can’t wait to return again and try all menu items. Grazie e Salute !
THE ILLUSIVE FEMME
Yum! Best Italian I’ve had in a long time. Venue is gorgeous, so warm and inviting. Staff were brilliant, very knowledgeable and friendly. Great wine list. The complementary home made bread and garlic butter was delicious. Squid Ink Fettuccini was absolutely perfect. Ample amount of seafood. When the staff found out it was my birthday they brought out a free cake and a lovely song. Will def return. Lovely night!

It seems there are a
Lot of people going here on ‘dimmi deals’ that should be something to think about.
I’ve been here twice now, particularly like the smaller rooms and the carpet which deaden the noise. Most places you can bearly hear yourself. The service was quite friendly, though some wait staff were clearly inexperienced. Nunzio stomping through with the phone in his pocket on high volume ringing consistently didn’t add to the atmosphere. He made no secret you were order everything on the menu plus wine or wear his distain. The food both times, sparse, unremarkable and expensive.
Last time a main course size gnocchi $29. wouldn’t pass for half an entree size anywhere else. Fillet steak with sauce with Gorgonzola waived over it at $42 yes $168. Per kilo at least. Was just passable.
Overall, good for chatting, ( over the ringing phone),average food at Monte Carlo prices.

Amazing food, drink, service, atmosphere, staff - what more could you want for dining out! This place is the real deal - authentic Italian is truly the most delicious cuisine. And for those commenting on the price - I think it is a very fair price for the quality you receive. It costs money to hire decent professional chefs, to source the best produce etc. You get what you pay for! So glad my husband found this place for us - it is our new favourite. The only negative I have is that it’s half an hour’s drive away for us haha!!
Georgie
Short menu but the food was amazing, the Gorgonzola gnocchi was a highlight. Dessert options were good too. Bit pricey but nice for a night out

Visited Nunzio's with my wife using the half price dimmi deal.
Food:
- complimentary warm bread and flavoured whipped butter were quite tasty.
- pork belly appetizer could have used a few more minutes on the heat. Wouldn't order again.
- wife ordered the squid ink fettuccine with prawn, fish, and chilli ragu. Delicious prawn and fish, perfectly cooked pasta. Light on the chilli. Expected more sauce in a "ragu". Overall enjoyable.
- I ordered mains size 4 cheese gnocchi. Delicious fluffy clouds of gnocchi in a tasty cheese sauce.
- bailey's dome: wife enjoyed it. I thought the chocolate dome was neat but could have been more flavorful. Baileys overrides any of the other subtler flavors that may have been there.
- bunet flan: nice chocolate flan with crunchy biscuit crumb on top. My preference over the dome.
- ended the night with 2 tasty espressos.

Staff were friendly, prompt, and attentive. We were made to feel very welcome.

Cosy "nonnas house" atmosphere sectioned off into a few rooms. Interesting art pieces decorating the walls.
Little Aussie Epicurean
Beautiful date venue, well lit with amazing service and split into smaller rooms so that it feels very intimate. The saffron and truffle fettuccine was a standout dish with amazing balance, very generous on the truffle and not heavy for a pasta.

Perfect service, food and wine every time. Nunzio himself is a charming and a delightful host, his mere presence adds to the experience. Always a superb night out guaranteed when dining here. Bravo Nunzios 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️

Dined at classy Nunzio's lastnight with the Dimmi special. The food was delicious and service from the waitress outstanding but not enough to go back and pay full price. We were greeted by a grumpy Nunzio on arrival which was disappointing, and he was the same when we left unfortunately! Wine started at $12/glass. We shared a Malborough Sav Blanc for $48. Beef Carpaccio for entree was lovely ($20) as was the Squid Ink Fettucine ($35) which was surprisingly filling served with some lovely seafood and a delicious sauce. The Lamb Ragu Spaghetti ($30) tasted great too but was made with mince. Nunzios is an old house filled with lots of artwork, old fireplaces and lots of rooms that were filled to capacity but we felt it was quite noisy for an intimate restaurant. Our table was also placed right in the middle and very close to other diners. Fresh bread rolls & garlic butter on arrival were great.

What a great place!! The food is simply delicious, Lisa, our hostess, was friendly and attentive and even Nunzio himself poured our wine for us. It was such a wonderful evening for myself, hubby and 2 friends. But what topped it off was a visiting musical group that serenaded us with beautiful Italian music. A SUPERB night!!!!!
Green Foodie
This classy fine dining offers excellent atmosphere, an expensive treat though. Food service was kinda slow, waited another hour for mains to arrive after the appetizers. 3pcs of pork belly for $20 was very pricey even at fine dine. Lamb shank was cooked perfectly but needed more flavour to go with. Risotto was the best dish for the night although we felt that it was too salty for us, added some water (oops!) & yummm... Reluctant to visit again for the wait, price & portion.
Ross
Absolutely the best service I have received from a restaurant in Fremantle for years. Our meals were great and yummy. Especially the cuttlefish and the pork belly.
Affili.atewithfood
Delicious. Don't be put off by the price. It's intimate, classy and very yummy. It's nice to have fine dining in Fremantle. Great for a special occasion.

Been here for the night out with my fam. The first impression is the warm welcome. The vibe is so warm and nice. At the starter, we have been served a bread and signature butter which was so yummy(and free). At the main course, we never regret ... we ordered spaghettie, squid ink pasta and chicken. The food is so yummy, the service is also good and nice. Highly recommend.

dressed smart casual it is Fremantle after all. we were directed to a table for two in what appeared to in honesty be an over crowded renovated old house. Credit given it was a nice atmosphere, good lighting, music appropriate for the clientele they aim for.
Ordered entrée and mains at once with some sparkling water. They delivered my partners entrée without glitch but tried to give me someone else's to which I corrected them. after this they became rather withdrawn I think the wait staff may have been delivered their own serving, the chef came and apologised. I replied it's fine as long as my partner and I can both dine together on warm meals then no matter we all have bad days.
to the food itself although nice it is certainly overpriced for what is placed before you.
Ending our night our suddenly new wait staff asked us at the table "would we like to leave a tip ?" generally we do, but we do this based on service not someone asking us ? I found this to be rather peculiar and it did not add to having a pleasurable experience.
Would I visit this premises again !!! No especially when Fremantle is so cultural and has so many choices.

I'm beginning to think Zomato is rigged!!!! I can't believe this place is only rated 3 stars yet just about all the reviews are 4 star plus......
Anyways, fantastic is a word that comes to mind as does Bellissimo and brilliant. Our small party of 4 was looked after with precision, the wait staff relaxed yet on point. The front of house was full yet the food came out in such a way the Australian synchronised swim team would have been proud. Flavour wise, all plates went back clean. Having been a chef for a time longer than I can remember this place ticks all the boxes of fine Italian dining at a casual setting. Bravo Nunzio's..... we will be back for sure
FoodNinja
Positives: the food was tasty, service was friendly, homemade pasta was delicious. Negatives: it took a long time for the food to come out (nearly 40 mins), the serving size was small for the price, slow service. It was very busy even for a weeknight so suggest you book.
Lara Harris
very chic place and good food, you can try real italian food in here ! The money spent worth the quality received. The staff was very attentive as well.
Sandhya1814
In a week i have visited this place twice. Both the times the service by the wait staffs and flavour of food were amazing. I had ordered the saffron fettuccine, pasta with salmon and prawn ragu, lamb shank and fish wing. My most favourite was the saffron fettuccine. Desserts: Limoncello sponge cake was amazing. Cocktails were well balanced
Overall experience: will definitely be making me their regular.

Wow! Great food, great service and just a prefect night of being spoilt. Absolutely love the vibe and the timing of all your food comes out perfectly. Enough time to digest your entree and enough time for the dessert. The desert was on display which made a huge difference and it made it easier to make up your mind on what you wanted. The coffee was delicious! I would 100% recommend.

We visited Nunzio's recently on the recommendations of friends who gave it two thumbs up, and it certainly fit the bill. The food, the wine the service were all amazing. Having gone with both a seafood starter and mains, that didn't stop us eyeing off the other diners food as it was brought to their tables. Lisa and Nunzio himself who looked after us, couldn't have been more attentive or knowledgeable and went towards making it a very memorable evening. We would have no problems recommending Nunzio's to anyone for some fantastic Italian food if they are anywhere near Fremantle.

Had the most incredible seafood feast at Nunzio's last night. Oysters two ways, marinated octopus, scallops, prawns, cuttlefish, clams, whole baked gold Band snapper, matched Italian wines - the whole experience was spectacular. Fresh seafood, incredible flavours and outstanding hospitality by host Nunzio and his attentive and considerate staff. Took out of state visitors with us who really enjoyed the magnificent food and experience and are already talking about flying back to WA for a significant celebration early next year. All round fantastic dining experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Took my dad here after reading reviews... don't believe the reviews!!! Food very average, over priced, uncomfortable service from wait personnel who appear frightened of disintetested manager/owner telling them off? All appear inexperienced and not at the level expected for prices charged. Whoever rang us back regards our booking was inhospitable on phone when we booked and asked us to arrive 5 minutes prior to our 7pm booking for 2 people... why????, dishes repeated sauces and ingredients, cheap crockery and cutlery, over priced food and the drinks...beer glass was wet and the negroni served in a martini glass (and a bad negroni at that), sad looking dessert trollery ... don't waste your time! Never again...are there any decent italian restaurants in Freo? Otherwise i recommend Peruginos or Galileo for italian at this price if you are looking for quality
This! This place is special for its Italian food!

I ordered the seafood risotto and it's amazing

I especially love the layer of half cook prawns the lace across the rice, makes it really special

The service, drinks menu and food here was good. The price was very expensive though. I enjoyed what I ordered but prefer other local Italian eateries. Cheers.

Amazing fine dining experience!!
Fresh hand made pasta was to die for.
Our waitress was wonderful and professional
Service was slow at time because they were a bit understaffed.
A couple of small things were forgotten- eg milk with tea and side of cream.
But all in all a fantastic experience and I will definitely go back again for a special occasion

Interesting dishes, great flavours and exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. It was a last minute decision to dine there on a Saturday night when they were full but they managed to fit us in anyway. We dine out a lot and were looking forward to eating at some of Fremantle’s best restaurants and we were not disappointed. Don’t expect a cheap meal, this is a very well thought out menu with “real” wait staff and this makes it well worth the price paid.

There are some exceptional Italian Restaurants in Fremantle, but you have to be in the know. Nunizo’s has had not been around that long, and tucked away on Essex Street is off the beaten track, but not out of reach. What deceptively looks like a small quaint cottage is in fact filled with several intimate dining rooms all with crisp whites heralding fine Italian dinning. It is a beautiful space, and there is the option, to sit outside under the verandah, but with today being a little wet and chilly, the front cozy dining room looked inviting.

My friendly Italian waitress gave me the menu and sorted out the water. I decided to go with scallops, puff pastry shell, zucchini and saffron sauce for entrée and for mains the pumpkin gnocchi with four cheeses sauce. I had an Italian Pinot Grigio with the first course, and staying in Italy, a Sangiovese with the gnocchi. Before the entrée, I received complimentary bread with a wonderful flavoured butter; I felt like just consuming the butter, but that wouldn’t have been a good look! Then came the entrée along with the wine, and the dish was beautifully presented with liquid gold. I could smell the sea immediately when the dish was placed in front of me, and the taste was sensational. All the flavours were well balanced requiring no additional seasoning. Perfecto!

My main too was beautiful. And the gnocchi, they were excellent. Melt in your mouth, as good as I had them in Torino. The sauce was amazing with excellent strong cheese flavours. Hearty and perfect for a wintery day. The wine, both which suggested by the waitress, was a good accompaniment with this dish.

I had room for dessert as I went with the entrée size gnocchi, and I have not seen this in as long as I remember, but the dessert selection was wheeled out on a trolley. All options looked good, but I decided to go with something different, and went with the fruit tart suggested by the waitress as being her favourite. It was bliss with nice berries and custard, and a very light sponge like, but well flavoured, crust. Bellissimo; t was so good I took a slice home for later! Some house made limencello was a perfect finish to an excellent meal.

Nunizio’s gave me excellent and friendly service, wonderful food and wine, and brought me back to Italy without the cost of a flight! Grazie mille! Highly recommend.

Sensational! The chef special crab ravioli with saffron sauce and pistachios was sublime! I've never eaten crab before and I am a convert. The restaurant itself is wonderful, situated in a heritage building with its small interlinked dining rooms. The staff are attentive, knowledgable, and were...

Delicious Italian food i had the carpaccio which was ok not awesome, but all was forgiven when the pink snapper ravioli arrived! If i had no manners i would have ordered another one...the ladies waiting on our table were great and the owner is a great bloke with good knowledge of his well priced great wine list... Thanks for the limoncello too guys, a great end to a looong lunch..

Visiting Nunzios was like stepping back in time - but not in a good way.
The menu presented a fairly standard Italian offering, yet the execution of the dishes was nothing short of pedestrian. This is 80's Perth Italian - home made lamb shank - which was akin to a supermarket pre prepared dish- bland.
I was keen to give them a shot at redemption with desert until the "desert trolley" arrived and although, en mass the offerings may have been tempting - the individual deserts looked sloppy and would not have justified the high price asked for an adhoc piece of tart slopped on a plate with no preparation or presentation applied at all... I suspect Nunzios will not miss me- they're fairly busy with their "old world" clientele!

Italian dining in Fremantle. How Fremantle is not nicknamed Little Italy I’m not sure, but the “Cappuccino Strip” on South Terrace is testament to how closely this area is related to Italian dining and culture. At times it has been more cheap and cheerful, than anything else, but across Australia diners tastes and preferences have been changing over the years, and this extends here. Think places like Little Creatures that took up the challenge and won by incorporating their ideas in a manner consistent with the breezy Freo culture. Bread In Common is another good example of the growth and I’m told The Mantle complex is another good addition.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here this evening. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our meals were authentic and beautifully prepared. The tiramisu for dessert was divine. Thanks for a wonderful food experience.

I had the scallops for entree with the squid ink linguine for main. The food is always good and just the right amount. My main was not ordered so came late, an honest mistake for anyone. The manager on duty however was incredibly horrible to the staff member who didn't put my order through. I thought this behaviour was not appropriate especially in front of customers. Overall a very nice restaurant and very nice food.

Beautiful Italian cuisine. We came in around 2pm on a Tuesday - quick service, very attentive waitstaff but not overbearing. We enjoyed an entree, mains and a few glasses of wine. We have just come back from being in Europe (Italy included) and can say that the food is on par with what we've experienced. If you are after a true Italian experience (homely, warm yet white table service included) definitely stop by and find out for yourself. A must stop for Fremantle.

Love this place. Awesome food at great prices. Great ambience. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for a beautiful dinner in Freo. 👍☺
Brilliant. Friendly faces everywhere, attentive staff and a welcoming owner.

Food was delicious. Simple, Italian flavours that transport you as soon as they hit the palate. Wine list is varied and suited to the venue.

Highlights were the Veal, and the Lime Sorbet with Prosecco.

Already planning my return.

You must go! If you love italian and old fashioned service and a place where you can take your time, this is it. Wonderful service and the food was to die for. Entree was home made gnocchi - yum!! We had veal, beef and risotto for mains .... Quality. The dessert was brought to our table in a display trolley. To die for. Would recommend a visit :)

Poor effort tonight, very disappointing. Tried this restaurant with friends from work for the first time and underwhelmed. Very friendly and quick service initially, but after the first 45 minutes that dried up. The food was excellent (apart from a very dry and overcooked piece of beef), but it was impossible to get anything after the first plates were served. I resorted to getting up from the table to find a waitperson to ask for more bread early in the piece, thinking this would be enough to prompt some more attentive service, but no.
If you want to sell food and wine, you have to come to the table and offer it to people. Simple. If cusotmers are paying prices like these, they want to be looked after. Easy. If they get service like this, after sitting waiting for an hour and a half for an offer of desert, coffee, another bottle of wine, or just a glass of water, they don't come back. Sorry. Looks like other diners' experiences are better here and maybe we were unlucky. There are other places happy to serve this sort of food at these sort of prices though and I am happy to give my money to them instead.

We stumbled across Nunzio's whilst strolling down the streets of Fremantle, drawn in by the inviting ambience of the restaurant. The menu was helpfully out the front to further entice. We were warmly welcomed by all the wait staff (especially Damien) who could not have been more helpful if they tried. From the homemade bread and butter, stuffed calamari, eggplant stack, chicken involtino and beef fillet to the delicious dessert trolley, we were delighted by the quality and freshness of all. Accompanied by a delicious Italian sparkling rose recommended by Nunzio we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. We would not hesitate to return or recommend it to all our friends. Nunzio and all his staff are to be applauded. Thanks for a memorable evening.

We arrived at Nunzio's full of expectation. The setting is an old Fremantle house, repainted and with a carpet that deadens sound. My husband chose fillet steak and I chose snapper. We then settled in to chat about our different days. Chris enjoyed good red while I chose Prosecco. Our table was elegantly and appropriately set and before long, beautiful, fresh rolls were brought to us. Our food arrived and it was excellent. Faultless! In time, we decided to indulge in desserts-- excellent again. The waitstaff provided the sort of service that we have come to expect from any restaurant under Nunzio's command. The ambiance of the whole establishment was part of the whole experience of dining at Nunzio's. Four stars from me!! Anne Wortham.

Buonissimo.. Nunzio Gumina, who introduced Fremantle to al fresco coffee with Papa Luigi's, has stormed back to introduce us to Nunzio's Restaurant. Four of us dined out at this new Italian and were blown away with the well constructed menu from pasta to deserts. My Stuffed Calamari entre to the Seafood Risotto was faultless. Tender and full of flavour. My wife's Eggplant Stack to the Cannelloni was amazing. Our friends were equally impressed with their choices which included the Gnocchi, always a good tester for Italian fare, to the Lamb Shanks. The sweets trolly was given a good going over as well. Fremantle has been screeming for an authentic high end Italian restaurant, and Nunzio has deliverd at a very good price. We were told that the menu will change according to the produce available which gives the opportunity to exercise the chefs' creative mind.

Fantastic lunch; we'll be back!. My colleagues and I just had a business meeting over lunch at Nunzio's new restaurant in Essex Street, Fremantle. All four of us work in the hospitality/wine industry and get the opportunity to eat out often. It was unanimously agreed that this lunch was superb in regards to atmosphere, food, wine & service. We highly recommend Nunzio's as a wonderful place to dine, with a menu that showcases simple Italian food done extremely well. Nunzio himself is a charming and warm host. The picture below is of the prawn risotto.
We'll be back for sure.

The New Nunzio's adds a new dimension to Italian Food in Fremantle. Located in an old house in Essex Street Fremantle Nunzio's new restaurant sets a high standard for food, ambiance and service. The old restaurant has been revamped and carpeted cutting noise levels and enabling convivial talk. The menu is largely traditional Italian fare but beautifully cooked and well presented. This reviewer particularly liked the truffle pasta. Service was friendly and efficient with Nunzio himself hovering nearby to oversee operations.

Highly recommended for a special night out.

I truly think that Nunzio's Restaurant was needed in Fremantle.. I went to Nunzio's Restaurant in Essex Street,Fremantle,Wa and I truly enjoyed the visit in every way.
Great Atmosphere,Friendly staff and good efficient service, and the food was fantastic!
I am happy to have discovered this great venue, very much needed in the heart of Freo :)
R.Gagliardi

Bob B. Lunch for four on Friday 22 May. It's about time that Freo had a restaurant of this class. My three friends had fish (Goldban snapper) which they said was excellent, and I had a superb pasta (cannelloni?). I don't usually have pasta out because I think I can cook pasta just as well or better than most, but I'm glad I took the waiter's recommendation. Prices were very reasonable. Service was excellent and the ambience just right. It is very stylish, and also has a good feel. We will be back. I also liked that a couple of ladies bought a wine at the bar, and then sat in front of the restaurant for a quick meal - apparently as an interlude in a shopping day, or just a lunch break from work.

Scrumptious Italian. We had a scrumotious dinner, everyone thoughly enjoyed their meal, no faults. The service was first class & the atmosphere cozy. We highly recommend you try this wonderful new addition to Fremantle.

Amazing addition to Fremantle. Amazing food amazing service overall amazing. Love it and will come back time and time again can't recommend enough for beautiful authentic Italian food!

I went to Nunzio's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was soooo nice! Beautiful rooms, bar, service and menu! We had a really beautiful night, and great food! I'd recommend it to everyone!

Delicious!. We went to Nunzios on Sunday night after walking by and spotting a new place. We are glad we did! It wasn't officially open yet so it wasn't a full menu but what there was on there was well priced and lots of variety. We had the tagliateli with porcini mushrooms and Sun dried tomatoes which was delicious! Tasted really fresh and home made. My partner had the lamb Ragu pasta which again he said was lovely. Our only suggestion would be to serve the bread warm at the beginning of the meal!
We will definitely be back when its fully open with a full menu!
