Review Old Shanghai - Fremantle

This food court has Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian and Indian cuisines. Lots of choices for patrons. Just located adjacent to Freo market. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating tables. Enjoy!

Tried the Indian cuisine here and really enjoyed it!! The portion was generous and vindaloo lamb was tasty too. Good value for money. Staff was very friendly. Will come back to try more!!

I bought my meal from the Indian restaurant. I wasn't impressed. I wish that I had bought something that was made to order instead of out of something out of a bain marie. The food was not warm and the curry was too watery. My partner had the Nasi Goreng, which looked really nice. He liked it. I had a roti from that same place and was pleased with the flavour and texture. The Chinese and Thai looked pretty good. The beers are cheaper than most restaurant prices, but you'd expect that. The whole place is described like a good court. It reminds me of the big eating halls in Asia. It's rough and ready, which is fine if you like the food but I wasn't impressed.

Inexpensive Asian food court, the Thai, Japanese and the place over by the bar (love their Singapore noodles) are my Favourites! Always fresh and hot. Beware it is all cash only and avoid the toilets usless you absolutely have to!

Fantastic food court to visit. So many delicious cuisines to choose from. Great prices. The busker here on Fridays is incredible.

Taka's Kitchen - Bowls are chipped! Katsu Don rice is full of soup! Served with Chinese preserved veggies! Ray's Curry House Malaysia - Beef Nasi Lemak, beef is tough! Rice has no coconut fragrance! Chilli is frozen sambal from a commercial bottle type! Give it a miss, dont waste you time & money. Half a star each!!

I ate here regularly while staying in Fremantle for 3 weeks. Good selection of delicious food at cheap prices. Inside and outdoor seating. Plenty of vegetarian options, particularly at the Indian and Malaysian.

Hi quality sashimi and very friendly owner. Also the prices are some of the least expensive I’ve ever seen for real authentic sushi. Absolutely delightful!

I've been coming here for decades and this place is such a mainstay of freo. Tonight we celebrated here and ALL the crew were amazing. Love you guys and special thanks to Pat & Kat....baking and glitter at dinner so 10 stars!
