This place is amazing. Simple idea, simple ingredients but put together so well. The tandoori jaffle has the perfect combination of flavors. Quiet and cute atmosphere.
A true gem. Love the turkey jaffle, baked bean jaffle and omg nutella jaffle just a yum! The ice teas are good too! Been to this cafe many times especially it being next to notre dame uni its so easy to get a snatch and off to class!
A friend of mine recommended Studio 37's coffee. On top of coffees, we ordered Mornin Kick, The Reuben & The Eric to share. Coffees were nice. However the jaffles for me were so so. Although the flavours were there, they're quite dry and could use a bit more sauce. Definitely there's room for improvements. I preferred The Reuben over Mornin Kick, but my friend liked MK better. The Eric was alright and not too sweet. Employees were accommodating. I would go back for coffee but probably not for jaffles.
Had to drop into Centrelink to put a rocket under them, this place is just accross the road
Pretty good coffee, great muffins. Its not completely obvious this place is even open, so take a look inside
Had a client catch up for a coffee in Fremantle during my recent trip there. They suggested Studio 37, which is a café attached to an art studio/working space in a warehouse style building. The actual café itself consists of a long bar area where they serve customers and make their/food and drink, and then a number of smaller tables are scattered about.
Swanky place that sells... toasted sandwiches! Yum. I wish the mushrooms were fresh and not canned though, I could taste the difference. The coffee was almost to pretty to drink, and tasted great. Staff are super friendly.
Cafe is situated through a big door off the side walk in an art space. Coffee is good but has no vegan options. Has a strange vibe but is worth checking out.
A shadowy entrance leads into the PS Art Space with the Café off to one side. When the art space is not in use it can look a bit dark but once inside there seems to be plenty of light. A nice range of jaffels were on the board and the usual coffees. I had the feta and spinach jaffel which was nice enough but lacking a little flavour. There are other more spicy options. The flat white coffee was quite good, dark and without a lot of milk, and together with the light coloured furniture made for a pleasant experience.
Studio 37 is the epitome of Freo-laid back, industrial, artsy and unique in every way. It's not the type of place you would just stumble across...hidden away from the coffee strip it is a local secret. The cafe is actually in a large warehouse with all seating inside but the opportunity to sit by the garage door and take in the streets of Freo. The coffee is creamy and smooth. I opted for the double shot in a mug which was beautifully presented. The food on offer looks fab too-jaffles, soup and fresh pastries. The staff were also friendly. I think this spot will become my new usual :)
25th October
Had coffee and a pumpkin muffin fresh out the oven. Muffin was to die for but coffee was a bit disappointing this time. :( new barista?
Top notch. Definitely my favourite coffee in freo!
Been a regular for a while but had the best coffee ever thismorning, cheers barista Tom
This place has super coffee, long mac was spot on...
Delightful!. I ventured here one day after continually walking past on my way to another favourite cafe of mine and turns out this place is just as good! Great coffee and amazing sweets- they have an absolutely delightful caramel/pecan slice which you MUST try if you like caramel slice. To agree with earlier comments, the salted caramel brownie cookie is tasty as well :-)
BUT my favourite thing about this place has to be their amazing Jaffles!!! The home made baked beans and cheese is sooo good. I think my whole office is onto it now after my carrying on so much!!
Anyway, long story short this place is great and definitely worth a try :-)
Sanctuary with understated welcoming. I saw the little sign on the street, and peered in to what I thought was an empty warehouse, and discovered by looking towards the left hand corner of the warehouse, a gathering of tables and chairs, a leather sofa and I think a chesterfield too, and on the far side of that, The Counter.
Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie Cookie Sandwich. Omma goard. Libido meets petit-four.
After I punched that piece of whore-food down my throat YES IT WAS THAT GOOD I noticed pictures hanging on the walls. Eventually I discovered that this is also the Packenham Street Art Space. I'm going back tomorrow to check out the gig poster exhibition properly, and gorge myself a bit.
Sadly - Closed now. This is what I said a bit over a year ago:
A friend recently took me to Studio 37 for a coffee, we stayed for lunch when I saw we could get a Rueben Jaffel.
The atmosphere is very laid back, urban. The coffee (I ordered a double shot latte) was Strong, and good. The jaffel was good too and served with a Dill pickle (that's a win). I would say that I like my Rueben with more horseradish bite, and more sour sauerkraut, but that's me.
A good spot for a casual snack with a friend.

Morning kick.... Wow. What a jaffle....So yummy. Then fresh juice... And I mean freshly squeezed - delicious. Coffee was lovely too, punchy, without being bitter.
Orange semolina cake is all I can say, hang on! That's right and Tom is the other important word I have to mention as he is the Creater of studio 37 awesomeness! Little secret, if you like the food he is actually happy to share his recipies! If you can read his handwritten scribble of course🤗
Fantastic coffee. Delicious breakfast. The produce speaks for itself. Wish I found this place at the start of my trip!
If you are an artist in Fremantle then this is the cafe to be at.
