My man & I love this space. .. the service, coffee & food is so good. My favorite dish is the choco granola... it's seriously as close to a mouth orgasm as you're ever going to get :-) ♥
Finally weekend breakfast available, and loved it! Usual spot for the perfect Trad Long Mac but got to enjoy with a sensational beans dish with maple Bacon and perfectly poached egg.
The aroma of Ham Hock had my mouth salivating before I even tasted it. I try a lot of beans dishes around Perth for breakfast but the depth of flavours and balance was noticeable. Nice one guys.
My wife had the Pannacotta with Granola and this was as tasty as it was pretty. House made with thoughtful additions to complement that silky Pannacotta will have me coming back.
Thanks guys
Great food, good coffee, amazing hot chocolate and an awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend it
This morning's coffee adventure was a trip to Hush.
The place is so understated from the outside, but inside is an oasis into the past. Stunning ambience, and great coffee!
Highly recommended!
Another hole in the wall gem hidden in Fremantle!
One of the best in Freyo. Very busy but the staff were a pleasure to watch. Like clockwork. Food looked lush but I had already eaten .....next time.
Possibly the best mocha I've had in my life ! Unreal!
Lovely cafe with friendly people:)) If there were more menu options, that would be awesome!
Revisited 02/12/18 - another very satisfying cappuccino and a yummy toasted bagel, with a delicious filling that I can’t remember what it was (maybe some pulled meat, spinach, relish and cheese?).
A new discovery in Fremantle which was like a hidden gem. The coffee was super aromatic and food was great. Love the plating of sweet potato Rosti. The only down-side was that it’s not child-friendly.
This place is a very cute cafe that serves some simple and really well made fare. I had avocado and toast and it was lovely. It pleases me to be able to spread the avocado myself as I know exactly how much salt to add etc. so this was great :)
We were given a voucher for Hush so we gave it a try. We ordered the beef burger and house made beans. The burger was very tasty. The house made beans came with smoked ham hock and maple bacon, poached egg and topped with goats curd. This was a dish I wouldn’t normally order at a cafe but I thought I’d try something different. It was a little spicy and deliciously meaty, the bread was toasted and buttered and went well with the whole meal. We also ordered an iced mocha and iced coffee both of which were nice.
Had a savoury muffin here, it was the best savoury muffin I’ve ever had 😍. I can’t remember exactly what was in it but the feta in it was superb.
On a cold wet morning in sunny Freo the little cafe Hush has saved the day. Absolutely outstanding value and taste - Breakfast wrap. Caffeine’s the bomb as well 👍👍
I came here with a few of my friends for an early breakfast and it was delicious! We sat upstairs on the long table, which had comfy chairs and a really cozy atmosphere. The aesthetic of the cafe is beautiful. We ordered the 'bit of everything', which was the best breakfast I've had in a long time, and the coffee was well balanced and creamy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. I recommend this cafe to everyone, and will definitely be coming back here soon.
coffee was AMAZING. probably one of the best I've had in a long time. such a cute little place, but with adequate seating inside and a bit upstairs too. very good selection of tea, coffee, cold and hot drinks etc. food choices also a nice variety with options for vegetarian. plenty of baked items to pick for a little snack, or a big meal if you're needing something more. staff are pretty friendly and helpful. food came out in good time with coffee. overall a gem in freo. definitly on my list of favorite places.
I went to Hush Espresso one Friday morning for a coffee. According to the reviews, apparently they had the best Belgian Mocha in town. But when I ordered one, it was good but wasn’t the best in town. The ambiance and service is pretty good.
lovely cute little cafe with a double storey space and great food. we got the turkish eggs and waffles, both of which were presented beautifully, as well as two amazing iced mochas worth the price. the service was average and the seating upstairs was a little uncomfortable and hot, however the prices were great and it was an overall fantastic experience :)
I havent had a sit down meal here before been more of a take away. Had tried their sandwiches esp the bagels amazing! Jus love it. And their hot chocolate and mocha are also good! My friends love their coffee. Staffs are friendly. Place do get quite crowded with uni students during the late morning and early afternoon.
Visited this place today for late breakfast/lunch. It was really busy considering it's a Monday! The coffee is good here. We ordered the Turkish chilli baked eggs with sumac spiced labna, dukka and sour dough. The eggs were overcooked for me. I prefer the yolks to be runny. But the rest of the dish was really tasty. The sour dough was crispy and matched well with the baked eggs. The brioche french toast with rhubarb curd, caramel poached peach, vanilla mascarpone, and pistachio praline. The brioche french toast needed more flavour. But as whole the dish was not bad. We enjoyed the different textures of this dish.
Was a little sceptical walking in to a table down the back of the ground floor as i thought the ambiance was a little dark... but gee was my my frown turned upside down!
My iced mocha arrived and i can honestly say it's THE BEST I've ever had! Flavour was amazing and it was lovely and cold! Then our breakfasts arrived. Both looked amazing and tasted just as good. Would definitely recommend Hush to others :)
The menu offered an array of tantalising options which made it difficult to choose two for brunch.
It has beautiful exposed bricks, warm lighting and a great playlist that give Hush a funky chilled vibe. The space was used well having choices of seating upstairs, down, tucked around the corner and outside.
We decided on the Brioche French toast, the Turkish chilli baked eggs, a Chai latte and a Belgium Mocha.
Chai latte was easily the best we have ever had and as for the Belgium Mocha... the greatest I've had here in Perth!
We were then greeted with our meals. The Brioche French toast came out looking like a fairy playground! It was so pretty, and looks were definitely not deceiving. We didn't realise until we later looked up hush that they left out the poached peach, the dish was so incredible I could imagine how succulent it would have been with the peach.
Turkish chilli baked eggs were aromatic, wholesome and not at all chilli but incredibly flavoursome. The toast that is served with the dish was also seasoned and toasted perfectly.
The only downfall to our visit is the staff. Although it didn't seem busy, they rushed around and looked extremely stressed. There was constant clanking of crockery and a lack of finesse that negatively impacted our visit.
Great Five Senses coffee. Service with a smile. Baristas were friendly. They have a lot of pre made food on cabinet (looked yummy!) and do made to order dishes. I'm really keen to try their French Toast. Will go back soon.
Stumbled across this cafe after the one we originally intended on going to was super packed- what a blessing in disguise. Cozy, lovely service, beautiful food. Coffees came out prompt and hot. Although I had no issue ordering sides thought it was odd that I couldn't order a side of tomato- especially seeing as though it came with the quinoa salad dish. Still enjoyed it- worth a visit.
Went here for a coffee after a girls night out at the esplanade hotel. A line is always a good sign in a coffee shop, and we wee delighted with the coffees. The two cappuccinos that were ordered were smooth, perfect temperature and delicious, as well as reasonably priced- I'll be back next time I'm in Fremantle
Came here soon after opening on Sunday morning and already a few keen customers on tables. I ordered at the counter the cured ocean trout with crispy potato tota, pickled beetroot, poached eggs and labna, and a long Mac topped up. I was told that that was the only thing not available on the menu, oh, my lucky day. So went back to relook at the menu, but the chef would be willing to do that dish with the smoked salmon. Great, I went with that. Coffee was excellent with strong flavours. My dish took a little while, but when it arrived it was beautifully plated with vibrant colours. All the ingredients were full of flavour and all the elements of crunchy texture, oozy eggs, sour, and sweet were there. By the time I finished the place was full. I think that says a lot; great spot tucked away off the main cappuccino strip.
Love these guys. Best coffee in freo and always fast. The coffee is so good I'll have two large lattes with 30mins. Strong but not bitter. Rich and smooth aroma. Keep it up guys.
Incredibly fast service and amazing atmosphere, a little stuffy because we sat close ish to the coffee machine and it was a hot Sunday morning in general. We both had the french toast and to say it was beautiful would be an understatement. EVERYTHING is well thought out, aesthetically pleasing and tastes out of this world. Unlike many places this brioche wasn't too sweet, and different elements on the plate gave amazing bursts of flavour such as the fresh raspberries and some purée. The flowers and fairy floss were beautiful and the fairy floss added some sweetness but wasn't cheap carnival style, it seemed to be proper Persian fairy floss, which might I add is $18 a bag at David jones. The drinks were amazing too, never had I tasted such a beautiful rich but not sickly sweet iced chocolate, as they use Belgian chocolate. Would recommend and revisit without a second thought!
Only thing I would change is perhaps the air circulation, the air con could have been on a bit higher but really on another day this may not have even bothered us so.
The new breakfast menu is a great upgrade and adds to the fabulous coffee. The black rice and quinoa was really nice with the addition of some of the best bacon I have had in Perth. One of my personal favourite places in Fremantle and a regular stop.
Hush Expresso is a lovely cafe with casual ambience. The mocha was smooth with a rich coffee aroma, but it was a little sweet (I didn't ask for extra sugar). My friend enjoyed the ice coffee. Would definitely come back.
Situated inside a recently heritage listed building, Hush ticks the boxes for aesthetics: exposed brick, original timber floors and beams of natural light filtering in. There’s a mezzanine level which was added in the 70s and provides additional seating for what is essentially quite a cosy venue.
The main focus is coffee. Roasted by Five Senses who purchase via direct trade with farmers, owner Dan Leppard likes to showcase blends in multiple ways like cold drip, single batch and espresso. He feels like it offers his customers variety and points of comparison.
Delightful atmosphere, friendly and personable service. Coffee is very good. Bagels, slices and muffins on display are well priced but the bacon in them always looks a bit uncooked.
Lively cafe serving yummy coffee. Staff are welcoming and friendly. First visit yesterday ended up with me forgetting my backpack there but I was relieved to get it back today. Of course I made the best of the return trip to enjoy more of delicious coffee.

Very cool hip Freo relaxed vibe to this cafe. Everything oozes coolness, from the decor to the staff. Food looks healthy and delicious . We had a coffee and it was everything a good coffee should be , highly recommended .
Our little regular cafe when we visited Fremantle. Perfect little cafe, coffee was good and we also came for breakfast and enjoyed it very much. The staff made us feel like we were locals and had been visiting for years.
Coffee done to perfection.
Ordered a decaf cappuccino and a mocha. Absolutely delicious! Mocha had the right proportion of chocolate and coffee, neither too sweet nor too bitter. Service was good too, very chirpy staff, very easy to talk to.
Will definitely go back for some cakes.
I only ever manage to make my way in to Fremantle on weekends, so I've been limited to enjoying Hush's incredibly good coffee; their breakfast menu was off limits on weekends - until now.
Six firm slices of gin and beetroot cured ocean trout; three potato tots, each with crispy golden outer with a fluffy white centre; three dollops of labneh, adding a subtle sharpness; a slice of well-toasted sourdough, halved; and a generous slathering of beetroot, to be the glue to bind it all together. It's a tried and tested pairing that some might see as a safe option, as unoriginal as Egg's Benedict, but Hush have executed it so flawlessly and plated it so elegantly you'd be hard-pressed not to forgive them.
While the whipped orange and cinnamon ricotta lifted the dish, the crumpets themselves were dense and dry, and just weren't quite of the same calibre as Gusto's crumpets, or even Little Stove's back in the day - they're definitely up there, though.
Hush has some stiff competition on the weekend breakfast scene, but if the rest of their menu is anything like what we tried on the weekend, it won't be long before the competition are playing catch-up.
Quality coffee and fast. A cute hole in the wall place. Beautiful and lovely staff. Always good! I wish this place was closer to my house !!
The coffee and food at Hush is always outstanding. They make the best sweet and savoury muffins I've ever had. Hush has friendly staff and a good vibe.
4 stars is for the coffee and its laid back, trendy, distressed interior. Coffee is consistently good here. A $9 bagel and the contents offered were pretty boring. Ended up getting an avocado, tomato, pepitas bagel. The bagel itself was delicious! But they should offer more exciting options for $9. I'll still go here for coffee but it's worth taking a stroll to grumpy sailor for a great value bagel with enticing, scrumptious fillings.
Coffee is great here. The place is nice and rustic. Haven't tried the food though. We always go there for flat white. My friend ordered affogato and really enjoyed it as well.
The Mocha!!!! such divine chocolate flavor. I dont live in freo anymore, but will make a trip in just for a coffee from Hush. I've long considered Melbourne to be the coffee mecca of Australia, but Hush gives WA a competitor
The mochas here are THE BEST! The chocolate syrup/ sauce is made from Belgium chocolate and it is oh so tasty and addictive. The freshly baked muffins they offer are super delicious, light fluffy and moist.
I only had coffee so I can't review the food. Coffee was OK. Nice place, friendly staff. Not too busy which is good when you want to drink a coffee in peace. I will try some food next time.
Coffee is perfect, set up is beautiful, hot chocolates are amazing! Only thing that could be improved is the water could be cold, but if that's the only thing to complain about then I think they are doing a great job.. Big thumbs up from me!
Like many Freo cafes, Hush (or Hustle) has got the simple, organic and hipster vibe down pat. Exposed brick, cabinet stuffed with breaky and lunch options, more coffee equipment than inspector gadget and some chilled tunes. Coffee is reasonably priced, staff are nice enough and the coffee is good. My latte was too hot but it was still pretty creamy and you can taste the quality of their own blend. Not my fave Freo coffee shop but not bad either.
Love the coffees (had flat white and long mac) here; well-balanced and smooth. The banana bread here is one of the best ones in Perth. Not too sweet!
A great spot to pick up a take away coffee, really good bagels too.
The staff are very friendly, service is speedy.
It would be good if it was open longer hours
Easily the best coffee you can get in Fremantle. Always made perfectly and incredibly smooth. A small range of tasty items such as slices and croissants in the cabinet are always really nice also. I'll keep coming back!
I don't know whether the lack of signage is on purpose, but it continues throughout the cafe! There weren't any readily available menus when I visited, nor prices given on the coffee menu board. The Belgian hot chocolate options were also missing (?) which is a shame because it's the drink I most fondly remember from the old location and go out of my way for. I tried the single origin special for the day and it was lovely. Hush have always done good coffees! I just wish that they were open past 4pm. It's sad that Freo shuts down so early.
Easily the best coffee and hot chocolate I've had in Perth! Hush hot chocolate is 1/4 real melted Belgian chocolate. That they ladle into your cup right before your eyes! So decadent and amazing! My favourite Perth cafe.

The best find in Freo for a cosy coffee and muffin/banana bread or a banga baguel for lunch! Friendly staff in a laid back atmosphere that nourishes the soul!
I went to Hush once before they changed location and had a life changing breakfast! When it moved down the road I decided to pop in for a coffee to check out the new building. Once again, the coffee was perfection and the apple and cinnamon muffin I sampled was incredible also. Such a cool, laid back vibe and right in the heart of Freo makes it a must-try!
I came in on the afternoon of the 26th of July, where I watched the girl (mid 20s-30s) at the counter consistently treat customers with utmost disrespect. Her deplorable attitude was pathetic and immature. When it came to my turn to order, I raised a question about my wrap being toasted I was shunned upon and she responded with a comment that was intended to belittle me. Not only does a simple smile go a long way but being disregarded and shut down when asking questions to staff members is unacceptable. A paying customer should feel valued and encouraged to enjoy their experience in a cafe and not to be made feeling stupid.
On the contrary, the baristas and kitchen team's work was applaudable - excellent coffee and food.
My favorite cafe to visit every time I'm in Freo. I love the vintage, rustic and cozy ambience of the whole place. My flat white tasted creamy and was brewed properly achieving the wholesome coffee bean bitter taste which is what I always look for in a good cup of coffee. Fresh display of vegan-like dishes and it delights me that they serve what you buy with fresh salad. :-)
These guys seem serious about their coffee. I've been coming here for a few months now and quite frankly don't see the need to go anywhere else when in freo. The batch brew is always bangin', my new coffee of choice, and the cold drip sweet and syrupy (when its on offer). Bagels are delicious. I'm told the breakfast menu will be ready in a week or two. Can't wait. Might mean I'll have to come to freo on my weekends too.
Great place!!
Went here a few weeks ago.. the service was heaps quick and the coffee was perfect. Went back today to try the food... I just had the blueberry bagel and it was amazing!! tasted fresh and it's probably the best bagel i've had in Perth! This place is super cool, has friendly staff, and I love the industrial interior! I will definitely be returning!
Best coffee in freo & I just love the bagels they get in, we tend to go to the 'hole in the wall' at what was the entrance to Atwell arcade in the mall for the full freo experience, buskers and all
The best coffee in Fremantle... if not Perth. The guys at Hush are always so Welcoming and jesus do they know how to make a good coffee.. .
The atmosphere and decor is really nice and welcoming.
The range of different coffee that they serve means they are able to cater to every person's taste. They even converted my dad into drinking Cold Drip! Very trendy dad haha.
Can't wait for their kitchen to open so it becomes more than just a coffee and muffin stop.
Food is just your standard coffee shop fare, but very excited to see what the future holds for these guys!
Satisfying. Had a lovely piccolo here at the weekend....so much so I bought a second!
Is this Fremantle's best coffee. I'd say YES. They are coffee savants: the coolest barista ever, Hot Beardman Matt, used freaking scales to weigh the coffee grounds before lovingly topping it off with the perfectly warmed milk. If ONLY he would kiss me!!!! LOL.
Delicious coffee and a wonderful selection of bagels :)
Best coffee in Freo. Great coffee, and AMAZING Belgian Mocha. Made with real melted Belgian chocolate. Ohhh yeahhh
Must know what they are doing, delicious food coffee an smoothie
Lovelovelove. My favourite coffee shop in Freo, great coffee, good looking guys and happy, funky looking girls serving it. Wish i worked here to be honest.
Just a fantastic spot
Love it. One of the best cups of coffee in Freo and lovely service. Delicious muffins and cool decor.
My morning treat. Really, REALLY good coffee! Lovely, quick, friendly service too.
Great coffee, crap service! .... Great coffee, crap service!
Completely forgot my croissant and when it was finally delivered I asked for jam and butter which was literally thrown on the table. When I cut into the croissant it was a ham and cheese and not plain as requested!!
Time to wake up people and realise you have plenty of "friendlier" competition in freo!
Closed. Note on door of vacant premises saying CLOSED,moving to High Street.
2 WORDS... BANANA BREAD. OMG the banana bread at Hush is so delicious I could eat it 24/7 and never get bored! Also best mocha I have ever had!! and trust me that is saying alot! I am some what a mocha tasting master! haha
I have definitely recommended Hush to all my friends and I will continue to in the future!!
Great coffee Best banana Br.... Great coffee
Best banana Bread iv ever had...
Best. Coffee. In. WA.
Antz Inya Pantz is a close 2nd.
Belgian mocha (with an extra shot of espresso) - a hot drink to brag about......mmmmmmmmm..... so totally recommended. One of our beloved coffee places in Fremantle.
Always great coffee. Beautiful coffee, friendly, fast, busy, very Freo decoration.
Always look forward to the first sip.
Real coffee. ALWAYS excellent coffee & muffins - morning or afternoon. Thanks xxx
Fantastic! Amazing coffee that is consistently good. The service is great, everything is cheap and they play really good music. What's not to like!
Came here to give a try for its Belgian mocha. It is definitely kicking. Will be back anytime soon!
I had been coming to Hush for years, then switched to a coffee store closer to work, I had spare time this morning to grab a famous Hush mocha which was AMAZING there is no other mocha like it (believe me I've looked!) I will be getting my morning coffees there from now on! Only negative was take away cup was too hot on my hand!
Fav place for brekky in WA..try and get here as much as possible, great friendly staff and food is outstanding! Def a mud for anyone who loves to go out for brekky!
Good coffee and food - some of the best in freo but the atmosphere makes me cringe and not come back. Can you add some smiles and soft clean furnishing?
THE BEST COFFEE IN PERTH. I travel out of my way to get a takeaway coffee.Make sure you get it from the asian guy, he makes the best coffees. Their soy caps are SO creamy.
Our favourite local!. We go to Hush probably too often for our wallet but love it! Favourite for me is the huevos rancheros, while my partner always orders scrambled eggs and bacon on toasts. Always generous portion, pretty good price as well! :) Staff has always been super friendly, huge bonus!
Beautiful coffee but way too expensive. Breakfast is lovely. Try the poached eggs.
An old time favourite where coffee is re-born. The coffee is delicious and the food is as good. (especially the beef sandwich). Service is great and always look forward to going back.
All about the coffee. This is one of the cafes that left an impression for me.
I have easily had over 10 coffees in numerous visits from here. I have had 1 bad coffee (It was way too milky - almost a luke warm cup of milk) but the other times it has been spot on.
The espresso is sweet with light citrus notes and hints of dark chocolate. It is full bodied and strong enough to cut through the milk but not overwhelming to make the coffee bitter _ very well balanced.
I wanted to try the food but it seems everytime I arrive the kitchen is closed.
It does look like it would do a great breakfast also.
Good coffee ☕ and from my experience good cabinet food. They have gluten free options, the one I tasted. But they have other options that are vegan and veggie.
I really liked the local, they have two floors and terrace. The service was kind and fast.
I know it is not family focused but it would be nice to have a highchair.
This coffee shop is in the house that was once home to my wife's mother in the 30's so it was a bit of a sentimental visit. Anyway, A coffee shop that makes good coffee is always a good start. It's looks a bit grubby and worn from outside, maybe that's the look they're going for. Inside is much more promising with seating available and an upstairs area available for seating as well (though it was closed off when we were there), there is also some outdoor seating. A good selection of light snacks, rolls, croissants and cakes/muffins are available. Nice spot for a week made coffee.
Good specialty coffee. Solid flatty and cold brew was on point, definitely meets the mark when you are after a specialty brew. Would come again.
This morning, Hush brewed good coffee from the 5-Senses' mixed beans. The beans were originated from Brazil, Eutopia and Burundi. The Ristretto was a bit acidic, aromatic, and a bit sweet. The Latte has a roasted aroma. It was smooth but a bit powdery. Nice coffee though! This cafe has preserved the character of old bricks and bricklaying patterns. The brown old solid woods together with the reddish-brown brick colours under the warm tungsten lighting have added a good atmosphere to the coffee lovers. By the way, the roadside car parking bays are all '30 minutes free'. Cheers! (2021-08)
Food and coffee is great. The coffee gets really busy so if you're hungry have a look at the menu before you come in because you can't see it from the end of the line. Staff are really helpful about allergies and all the food on the menu had a gluten free option.
Decent coffee. Good toasted croissant. Recommend for a chilled morning.
Very fusion and delicious breakfast. Not big portions but very testy. $98 for breakfast for 2+2. Could be better, and got a bonus for working on good Friday.
Such a beautiful place to have a quick coffee or sit down for a leisurely brunch. Situated on the iconic and historic High Street, this place is easy to get to and always have a great assortment of cakes and ready-made sandwiches, as well as a good menu. Like many great places, Hush can get busy so just choose your times more carefully. Hush has been a regular of mine for years now👌
