Review Bar Orient - Fremantle

We love Bar Orient and would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a special place for a function or just a bite to eat with a cold brew! We were looking for a place to have an Anniversary party for dear friends, and found the Chesterfield Lounge, which is absolutely fabulous, with the old world charm carefully preserved when the place was renovated. Our party went of without a hitch. The food was great, the staff very helpful and friendly. Everyone had a great time! And coming up to the party, we came in several times for lunch, because the food is fantastic and well priced and the beer is cold! Here's a picture of the 1st pizza we enjoyed!

Great little pub with food specials all week and happy hour. Always a great place to see live music from solo acoustic to full-on rocking bands. Friendly staff.

I popped into the orient hotel because i built both the bars in there. The front bar, 20 something years ago, when it was all timber. And the new bar at the back. Looks impressive now it is finished and installed. Personally I don't like what has been done to my front bar, but as i don't own it, i guess my memories of it will have to suffice. The Manager has been running the bar for 14 years and is a nice fellow, his staff are friendly and curtious so pop in and enjoy the atmosphere while in freo. Also check out my bar at the back while you are in there.

We enjoyed a drink in the lovely large dining area lounge last week and we were very happy with what we ordered ;The chicken Parmigian special along with salad and chips. Well the chicken was so juicy and tasty as was the rest. A great beer, friendly, family atmosphere, attentive friendly staff and live entertainment. The guitarist/ singer played a variety of songs, I really enjoyed, because he chose songs which you don’t always hear every day on the radio. Highly recommended

Had lunch there yesterday and my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great pricing and food and was shown the newly done Chesterfield Lounge which I couldn't believe, such elegance and class for an old hotel steeped in history.

We celebrated our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary here on Saturday 16th in the function room. Tony and his fabulous staff were so helpful and were lovely through the whole process of organising the party. Nothing was too much trouble. I came in on Sunday for a friends birthday party and enjoyed the food you provided,the margherita pizza was really nice hopefully I can come back and try 1 of your beers or wines and play some pool

Love this bar, even if they didn’t have the bargain of the century $5 meals I’d still love this place. Staff are lovely as well and the singers are awesome

Love this place only pub in fremantle with pool tables and its free on Monday. Plus theres a few good looking staff behind the bar to perve on while your waiting for your next shot on the table lol

Bit disappointed with the Orient's professionalism tonight. I went out for my Dad's birthday with my brother and mate for dinner, drinks and a few games of pool between us before we were happy to head home but we were rudely asked to leave a pool table after not even one game, but we weren't asked to leave by staff but by random members of the public who hadn't notified other patrons till five minutes before they started playing a "pool competition" without prior signage or warning from any staff members that they would be participating in this "competition". Was throughly disappointed that staff didn't step in to defuse the situation straight away. Throughly disappointed by my experience at The Bar Orient
