The food at La Tropicana appears simple, but the flavors have remarkable depth. All the staff members there greeted my companions and me with smiles as warm as the coffee they serve there. I would thoroughly recommend La Tropicana to anyone with a sweet tooth. I know I'll certainly be returning soon. It's great to have new young owner's there !!

Recently attended the WAMED festival and thankfully 99 Palletz was open.
The service was FANTASTIC!
The food was perfect and the coffee was wonderful.

The woodfired pizzas we came try did not disappoint. The sauce was delicious and fresh and the base thin and crispy.<br/>We returned one night to sample their new dinner menu and tasted 6 of the dishes on offer amongst us and everyone loved what they had ordered.<br/>Service was friendly and atmosphere with live music on certain days and outdoor lighting was perfect.

Second time I'd eaten at this cafe. The food was really good the first time, so thought I would go back and was hugely disappointed. Food did not arrive at the same time, mine finally arrived after my husband had already finished his burger and to add more disappointment, The pizza I had ordered was terrible. No flavour and the pizza sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can of crushed tomatos.. The pizza base was probably the nicest part of the dish & even that, the middle was soggy. We won't be going back..

Coffee was fine but not memorable <br/>, juices (ginger zinger and thirst quencher) were fine. Potato Rosti a little undercooked for me. The eggs and bacon was good. Pleasant Cafe full of bike riders on a sat morning. Pizza oven was warming up and could be good for lunch.

Friendly service, yummy hot chocolate, nice outdoor seating. Bacon was a little salty but over all nice food and place. Recommend the hot chocolate.

Wow!! I ordered a takeaway tuna pattie. I heated it up for lunch at work!! It was sooo yumm. Hope they bring more takeaway cabinet food in.!!!

Gorgeous. Large menu. All day breakfast. Plenty of seating. Drinks out before we all made it to our seats. Coffee hot and delicious. Fuss free ordering of sides. Well priced. No complaints. Live music. Def recommend.

Deliciously smooth coffee, excellent service. This is a great place for groups with plenty of large tables and lots of room to move. The eggs/bacon/toast special at $10 is great value but most other dishes hover around the $18 mark.

Decided to try this place. I had the Ricotta pancakes with butterscotch sauce and my Wife had the Potato Rosti. She said it was very nice. The only problem I had with my choice was that the plate came out with a pool of maple syrup. Perhaps the syrup could have been served in a jug on the side. The coffee was hands down the best I've had in a while. All in all a great place to hang out early Sunday Morning.

It’s good to see some new Cafes popping up in Freo. I love the artsy feel with some great large paintings throughout the funky interior. They also have a great outdoor area at the front. I came here Sunday for brekkie and arrived at just after 8.30am; it wasn’t busy so I got to choose a prime spot. Great menu and I went with the Egyptian happy eggs and a long Mac, which I ordered at the counter. My coffee came out super quick and I have to say it was perfect; hot and intense coffee flavour. Definitely will come back just for the coffee alone. The brekkie also looked amazing, and tasted fantastic. A great café that is sure to get a good following once people discover this gem off the cappuccino strip.

Excellent cafe with good coffee and a broad and interesting menu. A good selection of vegetarian options, and they were happy to modify my order. The Egyptian Happy Eggs were particularly good.
