Tim, a very friendly owner who started this cafe about 13 years ago. After long searching and tasting various coffee beans, he came up with Atlas, his coffee brand. Yes, many patrons love the coffee here. It has a smooth, good body, medium strength, and well-balanced taste. It retained a bit of after drink taste and aroma in the mouth. I got to sip it slowly to enjoy it. (2021-07)

How is this place rated so high?!!! It's some of the WORST coffee that I've had in WA. Overpriced, tastes like burnt coffee and has a horrible after taste. It's like they reused their coffee beans. I literally threw it out because I couldn't stomach it 🤢

5 star rating for good coffee and friendly service. Visited twice. Both times waiting time was about 10 mins which is ok considering the crowd. Give this place a try if you are in Fremantle and you won't disappoint! ☕

I got my coffee just a second after I paid! How quick was that! Barista "eavesdropped" when I placed my order and quickly made it, impressive. Unfortunately my Mocha wasn't balanced and needed more chocolate. Staffs were friendly. I would give them a second chance when I go back Fremantle Market again one day.

Beautiful coffee that is spot on every time! The decaf beans are delicious too :) Service is also quick from knowledgeable baristas, even on a busy weekend. Favourite coffee in Freo and one of the best in Perth! A must try if you are in the area.

I ordered soy flat white from Black Cherries whenever I went to Freo Market and surprisingly the taste was consistent. I think the turnaround time for a cup of coffee was really good (especially with the long queue) and all staff member were very organised with all orders. Black Cherries also sell some coffee beans with different mixture, which is good for souvenir or as a gift for coffee connoisseurs in your life.

Wonderful..... Saw a queue for at Black Cherries and decided to join in. We ordered a chai and a cappuccino. Chai was fragrant and silky.... and the coffee probably the best in Freo. (It was way better than one I had earlier that day down the road and I was compelled to walk back to tell the barista that!)

My latte was over-extracted and, honestly, from the other reviews I was expecting a fab, smooth coffee. Will try again when they're not so flat out maybe!

Obviously a coffee centric venue, focus is on quality.<br/><br/>Great they steam fresh milk for each cup, but 15 minutes for a coffee was about 5 minutes too long.<br/><br/>Nice fresh coffee and attention to detail in the preparation. Blend was smooth, but a little too acidic for me in milk, might try espresso or long black next time.<br/><br/>Well worth a visit.

Mad caffeine-fueled poetry in motion. The carnival atmosphere created by the coffee loving loons behind the counter only adds to the buzz that you will get from the drinks here. One ice coffee on a hot day and a small shot of something really tasty later ("DRINK IIIIIT!!!!" -Bearded Carny #2), and I'm pretty sure I could see through time. There are a handful of places in WA that do good coffee, and by good coffee I mean real good coffee. I always find that some places in Freo are a bit "hit and miss" with consistency, but Black Cherries is a hit machine, hitting the money on flavour, richness, temperature, and texture...and that's just their coffee (which is Dark Star in case one was wondering). The little stall is in a great part of the Freo Markets that buzzes but doesn't feel overcrowded. The quirky staff (and their classic vinyl collection) create a great atmosphere which makes for a very enjoyable afternoon experience of consuming tasty caffeinated beverages.
