Review Muffle - Fremantle

Finally we have Muffle a try, quite tasty & size is substantial. Service was swift & friendly! Price was slightly on the higher side for $14 a pop.

๐•„๐•ฆ๐•—๐•—๐•š๐•Ÿ + ๐•จ๐•’๐•—๐•—๐•๐•– = ๐•„๐•ฆ๐•—๐•—๐•๐•–! A Muffle is so much more than a waffle. This Fremantle Markets business makes delicious Hong Kong Egg waffle fusion desserts, with Australian Whole Milk Soft Serve Ice Cream. Cooked fresh while you wait, these warm, crispy but chewy dough wrapped around fresh fruit and ice cream are scrumptious. We simply could not resist the chocolate melted inside those crispy waffle pockets combined with the delicious ice cream and toppings. Choose from their menu or create your own! We chose Chocolate and Strawberry and Banoffee Pie ๐Ÿ˜‹ Vegan, gluten free and refine sugar free options available. Muffle's menu offers award winning ice cream, special sundaes, milkshakes along with their delectable muffle cones. They plan to expand their savoury menu which we would return for. #Officially_perth

Nice snack while looking around the market! Since it's quite big, you may get full soon. Strawberry banana with ice cream was a good choice :) I think staffs were a bit less friendly than they could, probably because it was pretty hectic there. Though, I'd like to visit again to try some other flavor later.

I have been wanting to try a muffle for so long, and my Daifuku muffle did not disappoint! Apparently it is one of their best selling flavours, and I can see why. The muffle itself had pockets of deliciously chewy mochi and chocolate in it, and it was filled with a moreish red bean paste and green tea ice cream. The stall itself is super easy to find from the main mall entrance, so it is easy to get your muffle and run if the markets are busy!

Not sure if this is a new place or not, but my experience was absolutely great. Ordered the apple crumble muffle and i really enjoyed it. The order took a little long and customer service wasn't the best but im giving it 5 star because i am positive they will get better with time.... really loved the muffle. Loved it!

Delicious and good looking snack, the spicy salmon waffle was loaded with salmon, and all the ingredients fit together really well.

A must try! Highly recommend the Danish Apple Pie

A must-do if in Freo. Super yummy and friendly service. ๏ฟฝ

Was tempted to make a phony review of 1 star just to score a free muffle, but then I remembered they're worth every flat.

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!!! So similar to hawkers egg waffles in Hong Kong! Incredible. I have waited so many years for egg waffles to come to Perth as they are my favourite snack! I will be the number one ambassador.

Friendly service but the muffle was rubbery and over priced. Looked nice but lacked in flavour.

Went here on my lunch break at uni. Perfect for dessert! Loved the waffles and the ice cream!

Tried their nutella muffle with whipped cream at tokyo station, raine square. It is absolutely something you will crave over and over again.

Fun dessert to try if youโ€™re out and about in Freo. Tried the peanut butter version which was pretty good. Fresh made waffle, soft serve ice cream, banana and peanut butter - whatโ€™s not to like?

You guys are crazy. Everyoneย is a cool reviewer here and think let's give 2-3 stars to anyone to feel yourself more important? lol
Can everyone please be more humble and positive online and stop thinking everyone is a very important food critic, and your opinion is very important and you must submit it online so everyone knows how picky you are?
These waffles are amazing.ย Tried a few times and can't forget it, always want more.

They ran out of matcha soft serve that day, so I settled for the peanut butter muffle with vanilla and chocolate soft serve. The warm egglets paired well with the cold soft serve. Great to share with a friend or a treat for yourself!

This place is a must-do whenever you visit the Freo Markets. The muffles are the super tasty asian egg waffles filled with a milk chocolate sauce. One thing I admire about them, is that they are always fresh and made to order. They have a range of flavours and great selection of icecream to choose from. They are not overly sweet but you can change that depending on the toppings you choose. I am a repeat customer here and have never had one poor experience. Even if you are a little unsure, they usually have taste testers!

Love! Love! Love their muffle โค๏ธ crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. My kids and I had it with their cookies and cream ice-cream. It's just simply delicious. Staffs are very friendly too

I really like muffle and co, I love the milo one, the daifuku is always pretty good. I love the chewy muffle and the toppings go very well together. The staff are very friendly

Yum!!!! Muffle in Freo markets was delicious! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ
Love the light crispy waffle pocket balanced with creamy soft serve and yummy toppings. Ordered the peanut butter with vanilla soft serve ($10) and the daifuku ($12). Really liked how there were elements of the flavour you ordered in the waffle pocket (peanut in mine and mochi in his). And the overall flavours were delicious.
Can't wait to go back and try all the other yummy flavours!

Being here ordered honey and matcha ice creams. They have a huge selection of cones and fillings.

They are so crispy the egglets are the fillings of the egglets contains chocolate that melts in your mouth.

Totally recommended.

Been wanting to try this for ages. Finally made it to the Freo markets. The gluten free muffle is vegan. This has fresh strawberry and banana with coconut and mango sorbet and chocolate syrup. Can't wait to go back!

Egg waffle was one of my favorite childhood snack and it brings back so much memories. While the muffle is visually appealing I personally prefer having the egg waffle by itself without the ice cream.
Jessie Khoo
Tried their milo muffle! It was tasty. Average price will be $10 with soft serve however there will be an extra $2 for hard serve (which you could choose your own flavour ice cream)
I chose honey comb and it was good!

Friendly staffs and Lovely muffle :) !!
It's worth it if you visit in Freo market.
But serve is too slow whenever I visit there. But it's not a big deal !
This looks a lot better than it actually is. Saying that it's not bad. The muffle is soft and nice to eat but I just think that the ice cream was average

This place has been overrated way too many times. It offers great muffles but I wouldn't put it in a way that it's 'the best'. The muffles taste really amazing but it is pretty pricey too, and usually takes some 'queueing up' on busy weekends. Anyway it's still worth the try and the food is hands-down more photogenic than me - except for the taste HAHA
LittleAsianGirl
Delicious! Cookies and cream ice cream in the muffle cone with fresh strawberries, Ferrero rocher and chocolate sauce. Surprisingly it wasn't as sweet as I had thought it would be. Definitely a meal on its own for me.

Found this Hong Kong snack in Freo..It's so yummy!! Muffle is not burned..crispy yet so milky and soft in the inside. Great combination of Ice cream too.

Best Dessert I have ever eaten๐Ÿ˜Š warm on the outside, but cold on the insideโ„๏ธI had the banoffee muffle and it was filled with warm peanut butter, bananas and cookies and cream icecream๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿช The inside of the muffles was filled with chocolate chips๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป 5/5 well deserved๐Ÿ’—

Definitely worth the drive down to Freemantle! I love their latest creation of this bubble-wafflecone with ice creams! Really fresh also as it is made on the spot! The warm waffle really complement the cold ice creams! The waffle is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have more than 9 flavors to choose from. I was confused as to what to choose as all of the items on the menu looks equally tempting. Finally decided to go for The Ice Muff - which I did not regret it at all. With only $10 you get this bubble-wafflecone, 2 big scoop of ice creams of your choice and some condense milk to top it off! I want more, mummy!

I initially thought it was a bit pricey for a waffle cone. The area around where we had to stand to get the muffles was a bit cramped. I went for the strawberry and my partner chose cheesecake. I received my muffle first with my first bite I decided that it was worth $10. A lady walked straight into my partner as soon as he received his and it landed on the floor. One of the staff promptly made him a new one and the other rushed to clean up the wasted muffle. I thought that was really nice. Will definitely go back for more every time I'm in freo on the weekend. Also, be careful of your surroundings in that tight space!

I've been wanting to try this for a while but didn't go to Fremantle often until yesterday. I picked Cheese Cake Muffle and my friend ordered Daifuku. I thought $10 was a bit too much for this kind of thing but I changed my mind after I saw generous amount of filling they put inside. Totally worth $10. Muffle was freshly made, still warm and gooey in the middle. Ice creams were yummy, good quality for sure. Mine got fresh strawberries, crumbles and berry sauce. My friend wasn't a big fan of red bean but she demolished everything, that's how good it was. I would definitely go back.

Lightly vanilla flavoured, warm chewy crispy egg shaped waffle (which I could have easily eaten by itself) with ice cream topped with a drizzle of condensed milk. We tried the one with green tea and strawberries. I was expecting it to be a little sickly but it wasn't (maybe because of the green tea ice cream?). However there was a lot of it - not that that's a bad thing!

Yippee...something new @fremantle's market-muffle...we haven't been to this market place for months...so we were so excited when we saw this muffle place.
We tried "DAIFUKU"-it's a muffle with green tea ice cream; red bean for topping. Love it..love it ....muffle was nice and chewy..love the texture of it....green tea ice cream is nice. Should you try this one if you are @fremantle market

Finally got to try their muffle. The last time i came the queue was sooo long that i gave up queing. Had their banoffee muffle with honeycomb ice cream. It was like heaven in my mouth! The ice cream was good, the honeycomb was good, the toffee was good, the whole thing together was good. One muffle is big enough to share between two people.

I discovered the Muffle โ€“ a cross between a muffin and a waffle, at the Fremantle markets in Western Australia. The small store that sells muffles is Muffle & Co which I found out has a few stores across the world. Using a waffle-like maker with deep semi-circles rather than squares, staff pour the batter over and it only takes about a minute for a freshly made muffle to be made.

Tried the milo muffle, gets pretty sickening towards the end. Other than that, the presentation is good and service is great :).
Michelle
I can understand why people would think $10 is a bit pricey. However, you do get a whole bunch of soft serve and some nice toppings, and the muffles themselves are pretty good.

Attracting alot of patrons when it first opened in the heart of the freo markets, they have now expanded into a small shop lot in the corner of the markets. Only had the belly room to try the Ferrero strawberry flavoured muffle. Having built up expectation too high, I was a bit disappointed to find the only Ferrero about this was the one Ferrero chocolate they placed on top of the icecream. Otherwise it's simply a thin layer of strawberries lined on the inside and vanilla soft serve piled into the middle. Certainly looked better than it tasted. The muffle was only half filled with toppings. But the positive is that the muffle was light and springy to eat and the service was friendly. Will try other flavours next time, but a bit pricey at $10 minimum.

I quite enjoyed this muffle ferero ice cream with strawberries. The muffle has crunchy and soft texture. But with funny tiny balls similar like those egg pancakes in hong kong. Give it a try :)
Lin
Great for the experience but next time I go I would probably share with somebody. We got peanut muffle (with actual roasted peanuts in the waffle) with cream and also a Ferrero muffle with the ice cream. Peanut was nice as they added peanut butter to the waffle and had one chocolate piece as well as bananas but the ferroro wasn't really anything special. I think the waffle was just a regular one and then it came with strawberrys and just one Ferrero which was the only thing 'Ferrero rocher' about it.
More Than Nourishment
We went when it first opened. The line was huge but we had driven to the markets specially for the muffle. An hour later, we finally got to the front. It was definitely tasty but not sure whether it was worth $10 and the wait..

This place is so cool. I love it! It's a cute little stall which sells muffle cross between muffin and waffle. They are so moist and crunchy. I got the daifuku which was delicious!!! Generous matcha serving and delicious fruit inside plus red bean. So yummy! Can't wait to go back and try the other flavors!!

After all the hoopla on the interwebs about these muffles I had to venture out to freo to try one for myself. Its a hybrid of a muffin and a waffle, two fantastic breakfast foods so you know its going go be good and by golly it did not disappoint!

Apparently they just got more muffle machines in so when I rocked up there was no line and they picked up a muffle from the cooling rack and filled it with my selection of toppings. They have savoury or sweet muffs. I chose banana and kiwi. I then chose soft serve (or cream) and caramel topping. Sets you back 10 bucks but it's pretty huge.

I was a bit skeptical about the muffle cuz it was pre-prepared but it was still warm and light and crisp. Bells and whistles aside, it was tasty enough to eat on its own.

I'm telling you, these taste as good as they look! (And if you don't like it, they make for good instagramming and you'll get lots of likes)
