Review Big Rigz Burger Co. - Fremantle

Top notch, 11/10. Thank God for a proper burger place. Best burgers we've had in a long time, and we are experts. Nice and simple menu, perfect décor and feel for a burger joint. My teenage boys loved it. Super fast and friendly service and decent prices. Thank you!

Came across this place from a Ticktok reviewer. So happy I went there on the weekend! The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere at night, music wasn't stupid loud unlike some burger places... I had the scorpion flying rigz, absolutely amazing burger full of flavour, with a heat most spicy burger lovers will enjoy 😁 My partner had the cheesy bacon rigz, she doesn't normally finish burgers this size, but definitely finished this one even though she was getting full! Our friend that was with us had the korean rigz, and same story! We were all very impressed with the burgers, and service! The chips were perfect, super crunchy, and soft in the middle. Also the shakes w were to die for! Only have limited pics as I was too busy with doing videos for my partners Tiktok...

Friendly folks and sizeable burgers. They have a good smattering of different burgers which include some Korean inspired creations alongside some vegan offerings too. Relatively busy but you can usually get a table at most times. Parking is abit limited in the area though. The burgers are well cooked and the quality of the ingredients are good but it lacks the x factor.

Wow. What a unique experience, a vibe that hits a little different with burgers sculptured by artisanal God’s. Full of meat and flavour with the most prized, delicious and hearty sized bun I have ever encountered! Only comment is how juicy the burgers are - but don’t get me wrong, this is an awesome sign of flavour and passion! Love your work team, can’t wait to see a store North of the River ;)

A tasty dinner enjoyed by us all. Very casual atmosphere but the burgers were good value for the price. Serves were generous. My vegetarian burger was flavoursome and is one if the best I have tasted in a while.

The BEST Burger / Chicken Joint in WA! The first time we went to Big Rigz we ended up returning 6 nights in a row. This place is that good it's worth the 40min drive EVERY TIME. Aside from the amazing service the burgers are the BEST of the BEST. BIG RIGZ is the Ritz of Burger Joints -see pics for portion size Pros LARGE PORTIONS Juicy Beef (not drenched in oil) JUICY and well FLAVOURED Chicken Thighs (at least 20 to 30% bigger then other places we've tried) THE FRIES 🍟 Sweet potato is amazing as well as the regular. The sauces (big rigz and garlic aoili insanely good) Vege burger? - GOOD! Our meal is PERFECT every single time, everything is always spot on and FRESH! (really fresh ingredients) Massive burger bun! Tastes amazing too and it's soft n fluffy The staff,! aside from the amazing food the staff here are amazing. They're super friendly and genuinely seem to be happy at work. CONS Literally nothing

We've gotten take away from here twice now and both occasions have been positive. The Korean wings were very nice! However the buffalo wings were a bit average. The burgers however were good on both occasions.

Huge and delicious burgers, very reasonably priced considering the size and quality. I ordered the Smoky Rigz and it was so flavourful! Meat was tender and the chunks of bacon were huge. The korean wings were ok, good size, but I felt the batter was too thick and oily (I guess most people prefer that but I couldn't eat more than two). I really liked that I could just text the order and have it ready for takeaway. Although when we went for pick up there was a big line so we still had to wait even if the order was ready!

Big Rigz offer without doubt the best burgers I have ever tasted. My young family and I moved to South Freo from Sydney recently. In Sydney my wife and I had tried Down N' out, Mary’s, Chur Burger, and others as massive foodies. Without a tasty morsel of a doubt the crew at BR have knocked their creations out of the park to a point of addictive and tasty precision. Living 400m's away, we've tried all the burgers on the menu and they are exceptional. To sum up, I'd just like to say thank you to the Big Rigz team, you have made my life tastier :)

OMG the food is terrific, customised my burger to suit me. Kids loved theirs and hubbies Korean burger looked and tasted amazing. Also had the Korean chicken wings. Do yours a favour and give them a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Veggie burger is over priced, for the price it should definitely include chips. The bread was clearly from a supermarket or not quality/fresh. The patty was very mushy. Definitely cheaper and tastier vegan eats in Freo. Disappointing as the fit out and vibe is awesome.

Food Order:
Southern Fried Rigz
Loaded Fries - chilli corne

Drinks Order:
Kombucha - peach n mango.

Total Bill: $36

Final Verdict:
An excellent burger joint just off South Terrace before hitting Fremantle. Nice spot to hang out with friends, big tables and love the graffiti decor inside. Staff are super friendly and really nice. Generous portion sizes and worth it for sure. Hands down I will come again, looking forward to chowing down another burger here.

Wow was this a burger and a half - couldn’t finish it all!!! So yummy 110% recommended to all burger lovers! Only this I’d recommend for this place is perhaps a cheese sauce? But hey least of my worries!

Just had a delightful lunch with the bride at Big Rigz. I will refrain from giving it a score as such, my daddy always said taste is as taste does and mine might not be yours...

- Korean Flying Rigz (chicken): was well balanced in flavour with a perfectly cooked, fresh & juicy chicken thigh. A nice little bit of spice to the kimchi, sweetness from the pickled daikon and the bun maintained integrity throughout. Portion size as generous, double fister hold technique required.

- Cheesy Rigz: I like it when a place does the basics well. Again, A generous portion, nice melt on the cheese and a juicy patty with sweet pickles. Flavour was really good, maybe cooked a little over for my liking but certainly not a deal breaker by any means as there is obviously a good ratio of flesh to fat, (not sure if they buy in or make their own, am not that clever). Good bun and again integrity maintained throughout.

- Korean Loaded Fries: big basket, well cooked and perhaps a little over-salted when kimchi also applied on top. Very creative and tasty, if a little too salty and probably could be a bit more loaded particularly with the bacon portion, but it is a side dish and was balanced by vanilla milk-shake.

Can defo recommend, will be back when opportunity presents

Tasty if slightly messy burgers, loads of chips and with byo very good value. This is our local burger joint and a welcome addition to south Freo. My wife says that a cushion for the sears would help. Recommended.

This is a tough one because I think they are onto something but not quite there yet. A lot of potential here.

I’ll start with the burger - I got the Spicy Rigz with a GF bun and vegan cheese. I know vegan cheese is always a risk, and sadly in this case it did not pay off. I’m not sure what brand they used but it wasn’t a very good one, I seriously regretted adding it. The beef patty itself was ok, but very thin. The GF bun crumbled and wasn’t great, but to be fair to Big Rigz I have never been served a GF burger bun that was any good. Maybe they don’t exist? Lastly, both my partner and I felt the house sauce was what ruined the burger. It was mayonnaisy and kind of cheesy and just didn’t go.

We got regular chips which kind of just tasted like the frozen ones you get at Woolies. They could really use some improvement.

I would go back to Big Rigz and definitely skip the house sauce and vegan cheese, but I don’t think I’d recommend it to a friend just yet.

It seems like they have almost unlocked a winner here, but the burgers just don’t stack up. The bread is way too thick and chewy - which could work if the meat was thick enough to counteract it. Unfortunately the meat is very very thin, my patty actual crumbled apart. Chicken burger was similar in that the actual meat was thin and the crumb all fell off, very dry and chewy. Good sauces and excellent loaded fries. But you can get better burgers at short order and meet and bun down the road in freo.
