I had my 30th drinks at Stowaway last night. I had close to 40 people for drinks and canapés etc. The food was really lovely with beautifully presented cheese boards, flat breads with a whole array of homemade dips and plenty of pizza. Bryony, my contact throughout organising was fantastic and made it all really easy! I went with the three hour 'open' bar package and it was perfect! The bar staff knew exactly who was at the party and the service was wonderful! They even let me bring a cake that they brought out with candles and didn't charge 'cakeage'. The area set aside was perfect and comfortable with plenty of seating - a really lovely cozy venue for a winter birthday!! Many thanks Stowaway! We'll ALL be back!!

After eating and drinking at the stowaway for the best part of a year, the service and food has been consistently great! Hands down the best local around!

Great cocktails great food friendly staff. HUGE Chicken Burgers, never seen anything like it. Will be back...I'm from Edinburgh Scotland, stayed In Freshwater 2 months with family.

Eclectic crowd of boho beachsiders in a vibe that adds to the jewel that is Freshwater. Shhhh don't tell too many people.
Really enjoy coming to this place for a drink and some food after a swim. I enjoy their fish tacos and no chorizo no cry pizza, their gluten free pizza base is pretty good. Service can be hit and miss though. Decor is gorgeous.
Hey, how ya going? Went for a nut roast dinner, realised it was a lunch special, ended up with tofu everywhere. I got the tofu burger and my partner got the pow pow salad with tofu. The food was good but not great. Very happy with the portion sizes and restaurant vibes though!
A nice tucked away bar in freshwater. It has a great sea/nautical theme as the name implies overlooking the general freshie town square.
Prices are average for drinks and meals are higher than average for our review circuit, however their daily deals are in fact good value. We went for the $20 Sunday steak (12-3pm as of 29 December 2019), the steak was cooked to spec, with chips and salad included.
Staff are friendly and prompt and they have a decent variety of drinks on tap or cocktails on menu.
4/5 would drink again.
Good atmosphere. Great pizzas. The menu is not cheap but the food very tasty. The beer and cocktail selection is great. Probably book if you plan to visit in the evening. Ideal venue of afternoon drinks.

Great local gem and the kind of place where you will keep coming back to. Hardest part is finding a seat and you may have to settle for standing room, but you won’t have to settle for anything less than perfect for food and drinks. Relaxed yet buzzy vibe, place is definitely worth a visit!
