Review The Local Collective - Galston

We've been here a few times now and never had an issue. Dog friendly, with a water bowl for the dogs. Food is always delicious and comes out quickly. Good coffee too, along with other drinks. Good for takeway or to eat in, definitely recommended.

Nice cafe and perhaps good food and coffee but not my choice and wouldn't buy anything from them!!!! We were driving pass and I went to that cafe to ask if there is any public toilet in that area. They told me that they have one but there was a string attached to the key. I was told that I have to buy something from them to be able to use the toilet. So definitely I left there. there are manty other nice ways to improve their business and attract more customers.

We went during the pandemic. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ordered two dishes for a brunch session out, the chunky avocado with dukkah and Persian fetta & lemon was really fresh and good portion! The other dish dish was the coconut milk, fig & granola - it was full of great fresh ingredients and they were very generous with the dried figs! Drinks we got the mango & berries fruit drink which was made with real fruit!

My wife and I visited The Local Collective on our way back from Fagan Park. The staff were very friendly and as it was an hour from closing time the menu was becoming restricted for options. We got what we needed with great help from the staff. The food was amazing and came out quick. The service was excellent and we will be back. Good coffee here too. 👍

My family had Mother's Day lunch there last weekend. Great experience, great service, great atmosphere, great food. Will definitely go back there whenever we're in the area.

Hooray for the Gorge being open again and getting to have the Haloumi Breakfast Burger and Cats Pyjamas coffee from the Collective! Best way to fuel a walk in Fagan Park.

One of the best in all of the hills. The new items that have been added to the menu are the bomb! Love the service and love the location. Also has a great amount of space for the kids to run around without being in the way 👍🏽

Stopped in on way home from Sydney to Newcastle for a coffee. Great service from the staff, with excellent coffee as well. The coffee was hot and they got it spot on. Will definitely stop in again for another coffee and to try the food.

Without a doubt the best coffee, food and customer service in the hills district/Hornsby shire/upper north shore.

Not overwhelmed with choice of food, no gf bread and the 2 salads we had were bland. Chairs super uncomfortable, having just opened i would have thought sending back a half full plate of salad we would have been asked how we found the food .. disappointed unfortunately.

So good to experience a fun, cool cafe in Galston. Just love the owners and the staff. Always friendly and genuine. Nothing like a burger and fries to end the week.

I'd just like to say a massive thank you to the person who handed my wallet into this cafe and to Kim who tracked me down on Facebook to tell me he had it. He then kept it safe for a week at his cafe until I could get back to Galston to pick it up. Not a single thing was missing from it. I haven't eaten there before, but I can say that the workers are kind, honest and have restored my faith in humanity. I'll definitely be back for a coffee next time

A nice little local cafe that great for a quiet bite. Food was good definitely liked the pancakes (pictured) but still miss the traditional buttermilk pancakes! Only bummer about this breakie was the OJ was a little bitter for my liking

3.5 stars actually, service was just ok, food was good - we had a fried chicken burger which was pretty tasty. Atmosphere was quiet relaxing, convenient location.

There's nothing else this good in the local area. Nicely laid out decor without being pretentious. The food quality is excellent. Coffee quality is good. Some menu items (Collective Big Breakfast $22) are overpriced.
