Jaki is a star. Fifth visit to Pakington Pantry for another delicious lunch. If you after a treat I can certainly recommend this venue. The menu is extensive. I do find it a little hard to decipher because there are so many choices in small print BUT having found the Sticky pork belly on bao buns with Asian slaw and the drink of watermelon, orange and apple juice and cinnamon on my first visit I no longer look through the menu. But the rest of the family choose different options and are equally as pleased with their choices. On at least two visits I have had the same waitress – Jaki. She is a delightful young lady that has the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. The other staff also seem to be skilled, but Jaki makes the diners feel that extra bit special making her a great asset for Pakington Pantry- and no she is not a relative or friend.
Had the crispy nut chicken burger and it was sooo good. Have to come back and try other items as all the food looks so yum. Great food and the staff are really friendly.
Came in for lunch with my two Daughter & Granddaughter. The staff were really nice and the food was fantastic. Recommend this place, going back very soon.

A great place to go to. Efficient and friendly service, an innovative menu, and great food and coffee.
I strayed from my usual Buckwheat and Blueberry Pancakes to try the Corn Flakes crusted French Toast with Lemon Curd and Raspberries.I wasn't disappointed, now I have two favourites. To offset the sweetness of the French Toast, salted pretzels decorated the top of the toast. Breakfast is always good with a Long Black and friends.

If Pakington Pantry was an actual kitchen pantry, cuff me, I’d be in the kitchen every day cooking meals, using ingredients found in said pantry. PP is constantly a buzzing hive, with nearly every table full always. To your left you have an array of bakery items and pastries in the cabinet. To your right, the occasional mother’s club with 78 prams. The food; well let’s just say that it’s bloody good, because it is. The Hangover wrap I would recommend to anyone, a personal favourite of mine. So please, make your way down to PP, you will not be disappointed. There is nothing to fault here. PP, you’ve done it again.

- Shukshukah: great aromatic and flavourful dish that was a perfect cure for early morning drowsiness. Kale on top was a genius touch. Also came with two pieces of soft bread that was also amazing.
- benny: tried a bit of the pork belly in the benny and it was textural in a way I haven’t experienced before. Friend also was very happy with the dish.
Coffee also solid. Restaurant filled with staff that love their food and attention to customer service. This would be a top cafe in Melbourne CBD
I don’t think there is enough space in the word count for how delicious the croissant or French toast options are for breakfast. Go! Go! Go! But remember to book or you’ll be sadly disappointed as this place is insanely popular and always packed.
Came today after seeing the high rating on Zomato . Definitely a 5/5 for us . Good location , reasonable price , delicious food and friendly service. We ordered the bacon croissant &arancini balls, a strong latte & matcha latte. Highly recommended the arancini it’s very well made. Coffee is great too.
We’re lucky to get a table on a busy Sunday afternoon. Coffee was good, the presentation of the hot choc definitely excited the kids (& adults). Chips were crispy. Enjoyed the beef brisket tacos. Loved the truffle infused arancini, yum!
Went here for brekkie the service/food & ambience of this place is absolutely amazing... I had the spinach omelet & it was bloody yummy as hell it came with these two sauces & I absolutely lover the relish sauce. It was a perfect accompaniment to the dish & brought it to the next level. I would highly recommend coming to this place & I will definitely be back.
Went down to Torquay for the day and stopped by Newtown Geelong for some lunch. A bustling and busy cafe, it was roughly a 5 minute wait for a table. Not familiar with the area, we researched reviews and found this to be one of the best - we can confirm, it must be!
What we ordered: Roti with grilled Tandoori Chicken and Eggs Benedict (with jalapeño hollandaise). The roti wrap was a delight! The flavour of the tandoori was spot on and their house made sweet chili sauce that accompanies the fries is a must have! The eggs benny was simple yet effective with a beautifully crafted sauce and the slightest hint of jalapeño. The sauce was the highlight of the dish; the entire Benedict was very solid.
Love Pakington Pantry! Definitely one of the best brunch places in the Surf Coast. Although normally busy (I think this is a favorite for a lot of locals!), the wait staff are always extremely professional and attentive. The coffee is excellent! And the food...you can’t go wrong! My recent favourites are their famous Pakington Benedict, and their Spanish Omelette. Their baked goods in the front cabinet are also extremely delicious, and when I’m looking for a sweet treat, I usually opt for the cheesecake. When we have guests from out-of-town, we always take them here...and they’re always impressed!
Hidden away a little out of town this place is awesome. Although busy the staff were attentive and friendly. Coffee was good. What makes this place awesome is the food. I had the omelette. Most people think an omelette is simple and easy but more often than not they are served dry and tasteless. This omelette was memorable. Perfectly cooked and folded with chunks of Serrano ham, charred capsicum, blistered tomatoes and perfect sourdough toast. All with homemade relish on the side. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
This cafe takes bookings which I love! The bircher is one of the best in Geelong however quite expensive. My regular coffee and bircher was $30. It was a public holiday with a surcharge but it seemed a little over the top.
This is an absolute fantastic breakfast venue. I am a huge eggs benedict fan but I was easily swayed by this delicious menu. I had the smashed avocado with dukah, pomegranate and goats cheese. Never would have thought to combine those flavours but was fantastic and fresh. The freshly squeezed juice combinations was also fantastic. And just like mentioned in the other reviews great coffee. The only reason it was not a five for me was that the seating arrangement made it feel a little cramped but I suppose that's what to expect in popular cafes. I will be back to this one, for sure.
OMG. I just had the most delicious Spanish omelette, packed full with ham, chorizo, cheese and thin sliced potato. The coffee was great as well and the service is efficient, friendly and unpretentious. Well worth a visit if you're passing through Geelong.
Hands down one of the best places to eat in Geelong for breakfast and lunch, they are one of the first places to bring that Melbourne flava to Geelong. I've eaten there regularly, always trying different food, cannot fault it.

The coffees are strong and very nice. The food is amazing & well presented. I had the apple porridge which was filling and delicious. While my parents had the banana bread which was accompanied by blueberries, grilled banana & mascarpone which they enjoyed. Then my brother had the big breakfast which had many sides with poached eggs.
Would love to come back to this cafe to check out some of the other dishes

Have been here a few times now and the food and service is fantastic. Have had the hangover wrap which was yummy and the steak sandwich is delicious, the steak isn't chewy or gritty like other places often have. Possibly a breakie venue favourite for us
Yum coffee (could've been hotter), huge portioned breakfast (we had the French toast, hash brown/ eggs/ toast, pear granola) all of which was delicious! Highly recommend, service was friendly and all was reasonably priced!
Nice fresh items on the menu which should be a hit in Geelong. Big downside is that they take reservations and hold tables empty,
making walk in customers wait. Attempted to get a table for 2, was seated at the counter and the cafe was less than half full at that time. By the time we were done with our meal an hour later, those empty tables were still empty! With the current brunch hype, you'd make more money not taking reservations and just dealing with walk ins.
Our top pick for a weekend breakfast outing. Love the chicken burger, fritters, chilli eggs and breakfast board. Good juice mixes and coffee also.

So this morning, my friends and I had our post-nightshift brekky here at Pakington Pantry. Been here a few times before for I love how timely their service is and that they serve lunch menus even at breakfast time. I think today we were the first to come-in as they opened.
So, we ordered Slow Cooked Meat-and-Veggie Lasagna, Boston Baked Beans, and one of my friends built her own. I thought all meals were presented very well.
I had the baked beans and I thought it was really tasty. Then beans weren't overcooked and the ham hock is just perfect. Amongst all the baked beans I have had around Geelong, this was one of the best.
I had a taste of the lasagna as well. It was alright, although I thought some of the elements have been too mushy - but maybe because it was slow cooked, I wasn't really sure what to expect from it exactly.
Overall, the experience was great. Highly recommendable.
Great cafe for a brunch date. Had the eggs benedict that was delicious however was not a fan of the hollandaise sauce infused with apple cider vinegar. Was a bit much for me. Otherwise it was lovely and service here is great. Good coffees too. Gets really busy though so book ahead.
I cannot rate or recommend this place more highly. I have tried countless dishes from the menu (both breakfast and lunch) and have not once ever been left feeling disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful, even on the busiest of days. My favourite cafe in Geelong by a mile.
I had a mid week breakfast here alone and it was great. The service was fantastic and I didn't feel judged for dining alone, as I have felt at nearby cafes. I had the bircher muesli and it was delicious. Great value for money and really filling. The whole breakfast menu was quite substantial and I'll definitely be returning to sample more!

We come here for breakfast on a busy morning with 2 adults and 2 you kids. The staff were really great with getting us a table and then moved us to a better one when it become free.
The flat white we had was served just below how and easily drinkable for the get go. Also had an espresso which was well measured and clean.
We ordered the breakfast burger, pancakes and a porridge. They were all great but the flavour and texture combinations of the quinoa porridge wth caramelised banana was simply amazing. If they can creat dishes like that on a regular basis we will be marking this as a great Geelong breakfast treat.
It's really nice when your biggest problem ordering is that you like the sound of too many of the dishes on offer. This is what happened when we visited this tiny little gem on packo. The service was excellent, despite them being completely full with people waiting for tables (book ahead). We received our coffees quickly, got tips on what to order when we struggled to choose, and had the best chilli eggs I've tasted. Food was way above par and coffee equally impressive. I'm not saying it lightly, this is now one of my top two favourite breakfast places in Geelong. I'm going back at the first opportunity. Probably not that child friendly in terms of manoeuvring prams, and general business but older kids, couples, friends and business people will find this place perfect.

Pakington Pantry Geelong is one of the newest additions to the Newtown end / river end / Paris end of Pakington street. It’s been running about 18 months and has been an instant hit. It’s a dimly lit, sleek laneway style cafe that appears from the front to be a small hole in the wall with a window that you can order through from the street, but actually as you look in you realise that it packs in quite a few. It’s a long thin building with access from both sides and has as much space as any of the other cafes in the strip. The place is child-friendly when it’s not too busy but it’s a pretty popular cafe because the food is good. Therefore be aware that pram access is somewhat limited because of the thin long layout of the cafe.

Been here 3 times now for lunch. Service can be a little slow when they're busy but it's worth the wait. My favourite so far is their homemade sweet potato gnocchi .

Food was delicious!!! Loved it! Although a bit disappointed that I ordered a double espresso and got a long black and when I told the waitress she said they're the same thing which they're are not! Other than that it was great!
Very tasty!. I had the vegetable stack (Avocado, mushrooms, asparagus, goats cheese, grilled tomato, pesto hollandaise, topped with a poached egg) and loved it! Definitely the best breakfast I have had in recent times. My partner had the pumpkin roti and really enjoyed it. Loved the juices also. Will be visiting again soon.
YUM YUM YUM. This a great addition to Packington Street and some healthy competition for the other cafes in the area, as well as bringing more people to the strip. Sometimes a little hard to get a table but generally OK, always busy which is a good sign. Loads of tasty dishes to choose from and breakfast is available all day. The service is good and they even have a nice array of sweet treats to tempt you at the counter....I can't pass up on a jam donut! This a favourite of mine and I'm so glad it's opened!
This cafe is the place to be! Brilliant food and service. I have been to this cafe numerous times and I have never been disappointed. The only problem with it is everyone else knows how good it is and you usually have to line up for a table ..... Oh well :0)

Delicious!. If this cafe is supposed to be like Melbourne, then as a Melbourne-local, I'd say it's doing pretty well. The vegetarian roti with roasted pumpkin, capsicum, goat's cheese was absolutely delicious; it was definitely one of the tops meals that I've had from a cafe in a long while. Friends had the muesli, chicken burger, and chicken roti and had positive remarks all around. Service friendly and pretty quick, split payment, and EFTPOS. Can't wait to come back and sample more from the diverse menu!
Best breakfast on pako. Love this place! We live on pako and we don't go anywhere else since this gem opened. Favourites are the hangover wrap, Middle eastern breakfast and Japanese chicken burger. Staff are friendly and service is fast. Sometimes hard to get a table but worth the wait!!

I had heard plenty of brilliant reviews so I eagerly waited for my meal with high expectations... safe to say they didn't disappoint.
I ordered the Steak Sandwich... which was easily the best I've ever had and I have had a few in my life time. My partner ordered the Hangover rap and she was also very satisfied.
Food was amazing and I will definitely be back (if I can get a seat), coffee was also great, along with brilliant service.

Absolutely Fantastic!!. We had heard so many great Reviews about the new cafe 'Pakington Pantry" and finally we must say it was fantastic!!! The food was fresh and delicious, the staff was nice and friendly, great atmosphere and gorgeous decor with a very Melbourne feel, we loved it! What a great addition to Pakington Street, can't wait to go back!!
Nice new cafe choice on Pako St. This is a nice cafe addition to the river end of Pakington St. The menu has nice breakfast and lunch choices and the addition of wood fire oven pizza is a nice dinner option. 4 great cafes all in a square, Soft, Sticks and Grace, Winter's Cafe and now Pakington Pantry. Service was fast and friendly, the food was good but the price is a little high for the pizza menu. Portion size was large. We had the tuna and cheese sandwich, baked eggs and a bowl of chips. The chips were frozen shoestring potatoes.
This place was buzzing and loved the decor and atmosphere. Menu was reasonably priced and lots to choose from including an all day breakfast menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my choice of Japanese chicken burger and my friend had the bruschetta. Great presentation and tasted even better. The display of cakes was tempting so we will be back for aftn tea very soon.
Visited this cafe today and absolutely loved it! Very busy but service very efficient, coffee out in 5 mins and food took no longer then 10minutes and was delicious! A big big thank you to our waitress (didnt catch her name but was tall tanned and beautiful) although she was clearly very busy she always had a smile on her face and was wonderful to he served by. All round a great new place and which I am positive will be a sure stand out for many years to come!

Have been to this little gem on 2 occassions with the family. Both times had GFC players dining at a table nearby so the kids were extra excited. Great food and atmosphere... I can see why everyone is raving about this place! Now to stop the kids wanting to go here every day!
I have been to this restaurant numerous times, and the food has always been outstanding. They have a fantastic menu, and there juices are amazing. The food service is fast and very efficient, and the quality of food is excellent. Finally Geelong has a place that is above Geelong standards!
We came in this morning for the very first time after hearing great things about this place. Had the shushuka eggs and the buckwheat pancakes. Food was prompt and the service was exceptional. Coffee had a great taste too (was told that it was a new blend that came with the new barista who also did a pattern in the top of the glass). Hubby and I were quite impressed and will be back again very soon! Next time i'm trying the japanese burger for lunch though which sounded yum!

My partner and I visited pako pantry today (6/1) and have decided that we have found our new favourite cafe in Geelong! We ordered the middle eastern eggs and the duck roti wrap and both were absolutely delicious! Coffee was beautiful, decor was trendy, topped off from the service of 2 wonderful waitresses! It was very busy for a Monday (which proves itself holding its own next door to famous winters) but it is ran like a well oiled machine. Great job guys! Geelong has been waiting for something like this!

Very considerate service, pretty good food, horrible coffee. I went here this afternoon for lunch with a party of three. We had the risotto, duck roti and japanese chicken burger. The food was presented beautifully and I tasted everything. My favourite was the duck roti and the risotto, which were both excellent. The roti is obviously made in house and was fresh and delicious with great flavours. The risotto was quite nice. I liked the burger but my boyfriend thought it was a bit dry. I think this is because the chicken is fried in crumbs and also the hommus like sauce on it, although tasty, made it dry as well. It felt like something was missing. Overall I think the food was pretty original and pretty good.
The service was particularly good. My boyfriends grandma has trouble hearing and I am sure they turned the music off over our heads so it wasn't too loud, which was very considerate. My boyfriend also received a jam donut for free when we were leaving which was nice. I thought the service was great.
I went back with my mum a couple of weeks later though to have coffee. I got an espresso so you can really tell the flavour. They use really extremely bitter and also fruity tasting coffee which is actually an extremely unpleasant combination. It is probably one of the worst espressos I have ever had. So I do not recommend their coffee.
Was not one bit disappointed by Geelong's new hot spot cafe on pakington street. Service was very friendly and quick. Food didn't take to long to come out and was absolutely delicious. The Japanese chicken burger with proscuitto, rocket and hummus seemed like a favourite. Highly recommended. The cafe has a great cosmopolitan vibe, would definitely come again!
