Extremely good service and even better food as well as the best coffee. Would have to be one of the best cafes in the eastern states of Australia
This was my first visit today for an early lunch date, I would highly recommend the food, the garden area and the atmosphere, not to forget the very reasonable prices
Amazing coffee! The place to go for breakfast.. beautiful open fires and the home made relish is to die for!
Best cup of coffee I've had in Geelong yet. The BBQ sauce I had on my epic scrambled eggs was delicious and I ordered a side of avo expecting it to just be an Avocado cut in half but instead it was crushed and had lemon squeezed and mixed through it, tasted amazing. The outdoor area was gorgeous and Cafe Go has now become my favourite place for breakfast in Geelong. Will be returning for sure.

We had a beautiful chicken curry each and it was sensational. The service is always great as well as the ambience which is wonderful and very unique. Our favourite place to go for coffee and food. 👍🏼👍🏼
The food and coffee were on point. Highly recommended cafe in Geelong.
Have visited numerous times since March when we arrived in Australia and have always enjoyed it. Great food, fab atmosphere, plenty of choice and courteous staff. Would definitely recommend.
Sensational place, perfect menu, superb service and great vibe, will be back next time im in Geelong!!
THE place to go for a relaxed lunch that can ooze into a lazy afternoon with coffee flowing. Great food, atmosphere, service. No table numbers here, just stuffed toys. Not stuffed, but stuffed.
I love this place! The outdoor eating area is great and the food is fresh, healthy and very tasty! Great service too
I've been coming to Cafe Go off and on for many years, but I have to say recently my Dr put me on a low FODMAP regime. Eating out becomes a challenge but I have to say the staff at Cafe Go were so wonderful. They allowed me to modify my meal (obviously they cant for things that are made in quantities such as curries) but were absolutely wonderful at allowing me to make changes so that I could enjoy my lunch with my friends.
Apart from really good coffee, food and an open fire I don't think I have ever been to Cafe-Go without someone saying "Remember the time we came here and .....!" It's just a wonderfully relaxing, enjoyable fun place. (I don't live in Victoria)
Absolute favourite place to get coffee and just relax. Staff as so friendly and always up for a good laugh.
Best breakie roll in town.
10/10 would recommend to everyone!
Yesterday I went to get food from a brunch place for the first time ever since quarantine!! I’m so glad we stopped by @cafe_go when we visited Geelong. ⠀
It’s been a while since I rated a place 🤩⠀
Food: 4.3/5 ⠀
Service: 4/5⠀
Ambience: N/A even though we couldn’t stay to eat, I walked through the cafe to use their restroom and I was so impressed with their interior!
Overall a 5/5. Hands down the best panini ive ever had
⠀
Definitely worth a visit if you ever visit Geelong!! ⠀
Cafe Go,thank you so much for wonderful friendly service. We recently visited for a conference in Geelong.Everyone loved what they had to eat and drink They have beautiful decor and a vibrant court yard. Definetly recommend Cafe Go!
Great small cafe with interesting table number - monkey! Beef burger is nice and bread is so soft. Mocha is too sweet for me though. But why not have a sweeter morning.
This cafe is a homely, small country town vibe about it. It has nice food and the gluten free bread (I just spontaneously wanted to see how the other side live) was a strange but enjoyable texture in contrast to the harder sourdoughs that some other cafes use. The food came out at an average pace. Not quick or slow. The open fire place is a nice tough and great for those crisp winter mornings.
This cafe is homey and full of antique decor, really love the ambience. Food was pretty good, the waffle that I had has a good texture and delicious component in it. Coffee were great. Staff were okay, not amazing but not bad.
Great food, awesome music, eclectic decor and friendly staff!
Really nice courtyard area out the back, perfect for brunch on a nice day.
Would love to see them move to paper or metal straws
Very cute cafe and the courtyard is just gorgeous. Love the vibes. Food was great! The zucchini fritters were smashing - soft fluffy and great balance of flavours. The range of sweets was limited and too healthy for me haha. Staff were friendly and food came relatively quickly considering how busy it was.
Reasonably priced and the food here is better than just good. Mainly it's because of their bacon, red and crispy. The bread was pretty good too, though their mushrooms was just so so. To top it off, their coffee was great and their mocha was quite sweet.
Beautiful, cute cafe very near the beach. The first impression when we walked in this place on a Saturday morning was it’s just a cute, normal cafe. But when u entered the courtyard at the back, it was like u walked in a different world. An open, green spacious space with vintage, arty little decorations. Immediately it made us feel welcome and homey. The coffee was great, ordered a mocha for myself and chai latte for my hubby. Chai latte got a very subtle yet distinctive smell. Coffee was rich and creamy. They got a rather small menu but have something for everyone. They got vegan, meat lover and even children dishes.
Ordered a steak sandwich which came in really yummy. The only down is the bread was a bit hard to bite in. My hubby and cousin try the Paninis with pork belly and pulled lamb. The filling were quite interesting. The pulled lamb one has a lot of spice in it, so be aware if u’re not a big fan of spice. The pork belly was nice and def a crowd pleaser. If only the ciabatta was a bit softer, it’d be perfect.
We found the price is very reasonable compared to Melbourne. Food came out quickly and service was friendly although u do have to seat yourself. Im not sure if it’s a normal thing in Geelong.
Delicious store made cabinet food is hard to come by. Consistent good quality from this place. The sandwiches are delicious with really unique fillings which make them worth the slightly expensive $8.50
我很喜欢这家店,很温馨,外面的庭院很赞,同时也很舒服;
装饰带有很复古的感觉;
帕尼尼很好吃,煎蛋和培根都是现做的,热乎乎秋天吃很合适;
卷饼小伙伴说很好吃,有牛油果西红柿和青菜;
咖啡点了馥芮白,豆子风味也不错~
不知道是不是太忙,也没有水提供~虽然我们也不需要~很适合熟客到现场温馨聊天吃饭...
Been here twice, due to work taking me to Geelong on those occasions. Had the pulled lamb panini both times. Great flavour and the sandwich. Love the chimichurri and lamb combo.
Oh man, I absolutely love the coffee here! I don't know what beans they use but the coffee is always strong and rich. Delicious! The food is also prepared to a high quality and very flavoursome.
They don’t use numbers or letters for your orders. Rather they use stuffed toys, which is very unique. Their chai latte is so yum, the ambience is relaxing, and the food is very good. I had brekky nasi goreng and I loved it! Service is quick as well so you don’t have to wait for a long time for your order to come.
DELICIOUS! Everything we had was really great. The corn and zucchini fritters with the poached eggs and that AMAZING sauce was my fave! Coffee great and service excellent. Love the courtyard. If I was a Geelong local, I’d be here all the time!
A quaint looking cottage cafe situated just off the side of Geelong CBD.
Happy lively atmosphere with magnificent coffee and fast service.
Thoroughly enjoyed an egg and bacon breakfast sandwhich. Simple but delicious.
Have been attending this Geelong establishment since I was a baby medical student! It’s always such a busy spot, and for good reason!
I love their hot chocolates, that come in massive enamel cups and platters, and delicious eggs and fritters, displayed pastries.
Vibes are fabulous, staff friendly, and the backyard seating is on the proverbial fleek. And the best part? Instead of order numbers, you get a stuffed toy of your choice ✌️. My Fave is the hand puppet crocodile.
I like hand puppets, bite me
Grabbed a toasted sandwich here for lunch today. I had ham and cheese on sourdough and it was really good. Great bread.
The staff were friendly enough and I'm definitely going back for a coffee as this place was rockin, and that was after lunch lol
Good selection of cakes and slices ... yummm hahaha I'll be back!
Best thing about this place is the extensive menu that has something for everyone. Sometimes their service can be a little slow however it is generally a good all rounder.
Service:
- All staff were friendly
Good and drinks:
- Ordered a dirty chai and nasigoreng
- Food portions are generous
- Coffee was fine
General feel:
- Table numbers are stuffed toys, which is a cute idea
- A bit chilly, so would of preferred if the fireplace was on
- Simple and quaint cafe
- A but tight in terms of setting in the dining area, but the outside is lovely (was too cold to sit outside)
Hi! We have been going to Go for some time and recommend it. Great to pop in for a fresh salad or sandwich in between appointments during the day. We have also been here for breakfast which is just as good on the weekend sitting out the back. The place and the staff could be considered a little alternative but it is well matched and service is great. Nice when the open fire is going in winter but it does fill up inside due to small limited seating, plenty of seats outside. Average cost for a trendy cafe in Geelong.
Thought this place looked interesting last time we were in Geelong, so made a point of calling past for lunch today. It's clearly very popular and packed! Not the most pram friendly venue, but a lot of interesting decor going on and the courtyard area is great.
Everyone enjoyed their food - I got the Save Me (their big breakfast), and while it wasn't cheap, everything in it was perfectly cooked. One of the better executions on a typical big breakfast that I have tried. Iced coffees were also very good. Service was varied - one of the staff members seemed friendly, the other did not. But the food and drink came out quite quickly which was great as we had an appointment to get to.
Ok so went to cafe go for the first time but have heard great things! We went for breaky and sat out the back! Heaters were on and it was a really good funky atmosphere! Food was fantastic, I had the rhubarb waffles and they were really good! Staff were friendly and helpful! If you are in Geelong go check it out! Healthy menu as well with all your superfoods on there, just so you don't feel guilty when you leave! 😜
Nice backyard dining area, food are good, nothing out of the ordinary, cute 'touch' with having to hold on to stuffed dolls instead of numbers for tables... Lots of sweet treats on offer, & they all looked yummm... Friendly staff, great coffee... 3.5/5
At this present time Cafe Go is my favorite cafe in Geelong. This is mostly due to the fantastic atmosphere and beautiful outdoor and well sheltered beer garden. Coffee is always good and the selection of food is great. I have always had a good meal here and its very central so a great place to meet for work or play.
It would be great if this cafe was open on Sunday as well.
I wouldn't say it's fast service but the staff are nice. Thankfully the food and coffee is excellent and makes this place worth it. I would like to try the outdoor area when it's warmer.
Lunch here, nice ambiance, friendly staff. Had the Lamb Borek... Very crispy and tasty. Staff were friendly. They do all day breakfast and lunch started midday, kitchen closes at 3pm.
Cute cafe with great decor. Love the paintings and fireplace. Clean place with ample space and good service. Food was acceptable. Had the brekky roll which was yummy. Presentation was a little too simple for a cafe setting. Eggs on toast was average with no presentation at all... Literally eggs on toast. Chai latte was bland. Cute to have honey but not good enough. Coffee was average. Nothing too special about it.
Cute little cafe that uses plush toys for orders instead of table numbers - I love it! The Portalington mussels are lovely but I was disappointed to have received a salty, watery coconut broth upon my second visit, instead of a thick coconut sauce to accompany the mussels. I don't like inconsistency and won't be ordering it again. The coffee however, is on point.
Very comfortable and hospitable. Good prices, good coffee, good food, and great staff. My go to cafe between work hours in geelong
Best cafe in Geelong. Delicious food, very competetent friendly staff and a relaxed but stylish atmosphere. What more do you want? Lots of seating in the shady courtyard at the back, and a cosy open fire in the winter. Perfect. The Prt Arlington mussles I had yesterday were really special. Keep it up, Go team.
Great coffee, good food, and lovely outdoor area. Wait can be a bit long but the staff are very friendly and helpful. One of the top cafes in Geelong for sure.
Almond Croissants. Huge and filled with frangipane and covered with toasted almonds
Lovely. This place is always lovely. The interior is cute, I love the courtyard area too. Food is always yummy accompanied by friendly service.
Best cafe in Geelong!!! Really friendly staff, relaxing and funky outdoor garden dining area and the table markers are old, loved toys which just adds even more to the charm of the place. Great food and coffee too. CANNOT FAULT this place!!! GO GO GO!
Melbourne charm in Geelong City. One of Geelong's must do cafe spots! Greta coffee, fabulous food and friendly service. I have taken locals and out of towners here and all are impressed! Cool little retreat, funky decor and interesting ordering methods make for a relaxed and enjoyable experience!
We were passing through Geelong and after a quick research we came here for lunch today. It looks small from looking in from the outside but they have a nice courtyard filled with tables and heaters.
It was busy but we got a table and ordered our food at the counter. There is a nice fireplace inside the cafe and it has a warm/inviting feeling.
I ordered the chicken salad which I enjoyed and my family had the veggie breakfast, baked beans and fetta and dill fritters which were good and well priced. We also shared a veggie soup on their specials board to warm ourselves from the cold.
Smiles all round from staff and all friendly.
Persian eggs, delish! Great vibe
Fave cafe. Have been here a number of times and always had good meals and good coffee. Love the ambience of the courtyard area. A place I take visitors if they are in town long enough.
I have heard a lot about this cafe and was so excited to check it out for myself. First impressions where good and going with my expectations high I was expected to be let down. However when my table number was a stuffed octopus how could you be disappointed? For brekky I had a lovely chocolate french toast with salted Carmel sauce which didn't take long even though the cafe was packed! It tasted fantastic actually one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time.
Great value food, fresh ingredients, loved the garden out back. I really loved this place, its really quaint and funky. It's the first breakfast place I have been to in Geelong that I would go back to. Great place to come for breakfast or lunch. They have a great variety of food options and something a little more unique than your standard fare. I had the bruschetta because I wanted something light and it was very tasty. Everything else looked great too. However, I was not a fan of the coffee. I had a cappuccino and there was way too much milk despite it being in a tiny cup. So not the best coffee. I would definitely go back for the food and would take friends there when they are down from Melbourne.
Good Coffee, Great service, Super Cramped. People of Geelong caught on to how good the coffee and food in this place is and decided to jump in. All at the same time. Every morning.
It's a small cafe and has a very nice / ferny little backyard. The staff is amazingly friendly, and the coffee is great. The food is delicious, though the quantities may be small, the delicious taste makes the price seem fair.
I would suggest trying the Brekky roll with egg, bacon, aioli & relish or the Chocolate french toast sandwich with salted caramel & grilled banana for the sweeter tooth.
Hmm, have always loved this place but not so sure anymore. Cramped and chaotic, with staff running around not sure of where to deliver coffee/food- time to ditch the grubby soft toys as table numbers.
A slice of cafe heaven. Family had breaky before heading back to Melbourne. Great menu options, really excellent coffee, friendly and efficient service. Persian eggs, dukkah, super creamy feta, all eggs cooked perfectly, Croatian yummy sausages, spicy tomato relish and seriously great bread. I can't rave enough about the quality of the produce. Surroundings also quirky, homey and always interesting. Courtyard area out the back worth a look with interesting collection of artworks.
Place of character. A great place for a lunch if you want to eat at the back. The garden is cosy and fresh with a twist.
Yummy. Walked up here from our hotel when we stayed in Geelong for week. What a gem of a place. Coffe was extremely good compared to the crap on the geelong foreshore. Service was fast and friendly- how it should be. Geelong really is a hit and miss with eateries- be careful where you go. Definately ask locals. we found out the hard way.
A secret garden retreat in Geelong filled with eclectic riches and scrumptious delights to temp you soul and your taste buds! The menu is a good mix of traditional and different. And the display cabinet is filled with homemade tartlets and other baked goods. The food is to die for! The freshness and flavours are amazing. Portion sizes are generous and beverages are homely and delicious too. I had the smoked kippers, I was nervous having never had them before but was amazed at how morish they were. Flavours were well balance and it left me feeling happy inside. The rest of the family had French Toast and the GO big breakfast. The fresh toast was a different take with a bread that had the texture of pancakes and toast at the same time, amazing. Fresh OJ is sweet and pulpy. Coffee is smooth with good flavour. All round a Must Visit if you're in Geelong!
Love the interior such a funky cafe! I had the Vietnamese chicken salad which was lovely and full of flavour, but would be even better with a bit more chilli and some coriander! The only slight disappointment was my lukewarm chai latte! Which should be served hot!
Perfect spot for a long lazy Saturday brunch!
Exactly like mum used to make. No, seriously!!!
I love it. Visited this place for breakfast on Monday morning. The food is great and the service is great too. The food is amazing for such a low price!
Nice atmosphere. Like the atmosphere, the courtyard is lovely, and the food is good.
Very impressed. Great coffee, great food and great service. I felt welcome even on a busy fri afternoon. Will be my spot for brunch. Ps....I love the toys for table numbers. Great quirky idea
Quirky. Cool place, a little bit quirky, good coffee, good service and food what more can I say?
Great cafe. I have consistently enjoyed this cafe for breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff, great coffee, great vegetarian options and a lovely courtyard.
Decent food. Got the chicken grilled corn panini, steak sanga, cauliflower and pumpkin soup, strawberry milkshake nice-not too sweet.
Friendly service, good atmosphere. A great place for brunch.
Great!! Always busy around lunchtime which means a little wait in a lovely atmosphere, staff are always smiling and courteous, and the food fresh and very tasty. Love the curry, and the mussels are a great addition. Post night shift breakfast and beer was exactly what the Dr ordered.
Fantastic attitude from everyone there and great food to boot!. Regularly frequent this place for a hang over cure on the weekends. All day breakfasts are great, coffee is lovely. The outdoor section out back is a really nice little space to chill out and read a paper. Prices are fair. Highly recommended.
I'm from out of town and just stopped for breakfast and glad I did. It was great. The business comcept and food were obviously put together with love. It's great to see and dine at a place like this. Must visit GO
A busy little cafe, it was very convenient for me while waiting for someone in surgery up the street. The staff gave me a friendly greeting and took my order right away, and gave me a toy as the table number. I thought this was quirky and a bit fun, especially when the waitress explained the doll was meant to be her! I only had coffee, but it was one of the best I've had in my stays in Geelong. The milk was properly textured and the coffee was a nice blend and not burnt like so many I've had around Geelong. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the decor - there's always something new to discover! I will happily go back for my morning coffee tomorrow.
Just indulged in breakfast. .... Just indulged in breakfast.
Great food, atmosphere, and price.
Huge portion sizes!
It's great there is a rad place like this in Geelong.
Love it. Get service, great food. coffee a little weak, but still brilliant!
Great Catering. Up until last night we'd only ever popped into Go for a coffee (which are great) but we had a dinner last night, it was for a private party & the catering was just fantastic. Will definitely be back again :)
A touch of fitzroy in central Geelong, a rare find anywhere in Geelong. Great atmosphere and outdoor area away from the chaos of the waterfront. Good coffee and fast service. Will definitely be a regular.
Have been for breakfast and lunch- Cool place, funky decor and atmosphere with a unique table numbering system- we got a cute teddy bear the first time and josemete Sam the second. Food is lovely, fresh and flavoursome, friendly staff and good service, fast as well despite how busy they are- highly recommend
Great food and coffee. Very quaint with interesting decor. Have been by and eaten here heaps and loved it every single time.
Great coffee! Nice bacon & egg roll with just the right amount of mayo and a little piccalilli. Yum!
A breath of fresh air; great atmosphere feels so much like being in Melbourne, with great coffee, food and music to match. Oh and ps - the staff are very cool - friendly but not pushy.
My favourite cafe/eatery in Geelong.
This was an excellent place to eat. The staff are friendly, the service was fast and the food and drinks were excellent!!
Good vegan options, including cakes!
Coffee was lovely and creamy from soy.
We had coffee and a vegan muffin that was great.
Then the Chipotle vegan mayo toast with avocado and it was delicious.
And I had the poke bowl, which was a delicious combination of flavours from the marinated tofu to the quinoa it was delicious.
My non vegan family were also happy.
Very nice little cafe, looks small from the front but has lots of seating towards the back. The menu is a bit limited but there is still something for everyone.
The staff is really friendly and helpful and the quality of the food is great!
Also a great place for a coffee catch-up with friends or for work.
Beautiful setup and decore very cosy w a fire place and an out door area w plenty of nature cover. Clearly a favourite for locals w steady stream of people. Menu looks simple but filling. Coffee is ok
The Lamb Pizza is so GOOD, grab a seat the fireplace for cozy warm ambience and meal.. Bonus? Lovely and friendly young lady at the cashier. 5 out of 5, would come again!
Such a lovely cafe with good cozy backyard filled out with bunch of plants! Coffee was awesome! Will definitely go back there again for brunch next time!
Really enjoyed the tasty corn plus zucchini fitters. Green smoothie was tasty with flavours of mint and lemon but the consistency was not thick. A few vegetation options available to choose. The outdoor setting was basic. It’s so close to Vue Apartments but Google did not recommend this place when I searched for cafe with vegetarian options from Vue Apartments. Come on Google, what’s going on?
Great latte with well balanced acid, and just love the corn & zucchini fritters, full flavour of sweet corn and rich taste and texture. Must Try
The food was incredibly tasty. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options as well. The dish I had was the Turkish poached eggs with bacon added too. The bank was so tasty and fresh. Complimented the poached eggs really nicely. The combinations of flavours with the bscon and eggs was really nice and inventive. The cocktails were generous with the alcohol as well. All in all it was a good experience, we'll be back!
