Review Winters - Geelong

Sonia
Was good, green falafel bowl was quite unique interesting teste, questioning flavor, but least I felt becoming very healthy by eating this food. Fried burger was exactly what I expected. Personally feeling a bit pricy considering taste but not too pricy. It was good enough having breakie there, averagely ok.

Wow! We just got Uber Eats from Winter's, and it was nothing short of incredible.. my adorable little girl was completely over the moon with her waffles and 'coffee', and I was blown away by taste and presentation.. 5 stars! Edit: this first experience wasn’t a one off, but has been truely consistent, so adding another picture!

We had brunch, eggs on toast with sides and the waffles. Waffles were delicious, not too sweet, great pannacotta and lots of berries. Mushrooms were amazing. It's a small menu but we were really happy with what we chose. Coffee was fab, great service, would go back again.

Excellent in every respect. Cheerful and prompt service even when busy. Great food. Nice locale and neat contemporary decor. Full on a Tuesday lunchtime.

Always lovely service with a smile and such a wonderful menu. Nice setting, quality food and great coffee, one of my favourite hang outs for sure.

I got the grilled salmon, which turned out to be nothing like I expected it to be. It came with a small piece of salmon perched above a shakshuka/ratatouille-type mess of tiny potatoes, chickpeas, onion, peppers and other goodies topped with a spoonful of yoghurt. I admit, I was hoping for something more robust. I personally did not get the flavour combination. It was hard to say what the 'hero' of the dish was, and I was left feeling hungry. Perhaps a fattier meat like lamb could work in this combination. I also note that the salt and pepper pots had no corks. Usually that would not be a big deal, but in the COVID era we do need to be a bit cautious.

Delicious breakfast and friendly service

Eggs Benedict was awesome, exceeded my expectation after reading so many good reviews on it. The staffs were all very welcoming with big smiles and are attentive. Awesome dining experience even when I was eating alone. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere.

Came here for brunch and it was really good! Good coffee and service.

Recently with a group of friends and dined at Winter’s cafe. We all enjoyed our meals . The coffee was yummy and the service excellent . Thankyou .

Came here to relax in the morning with a bunch of friends, before going to my friend's graduation at Deakin Geelong. The customer service here is really good. The staffs are friendly and welcoming, recommended us their famous food and patient with us. Their food is healthy and delicious. Would definitely come back this cafe :)

Popped in for lunch on a Tuesday. Greeted by a friendly staff member and seated straight away. Menu has a nice variety though I went with the special. Delicious and tasty, the salad was really fresh and the salmon cooked well. Attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere. The tables and chairs were a little wonky but the coffee and dessert made up for it! Would recommend!

Came here for an early lunch, the calamari salad was absolutely what you want, fresh and delicious, not overly fried at all and plenty of texture and flavour in the salad
Jo
Gnocchi in burnt butter sauce was yum. The gnocchi was light, Cherry tomatoes were juicy and soaked up the delicious sauce (there was lots of burnt butter sauce). Service was very fast. Lovely spot for lunch.

Food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We got the salmon with beetroot purée, whipped avocado and hash browns. So vibrant looking on the plate and tasted delicious and fresh. The coffee was not great hence the 4. I ordered an ice long black and the taste was so bitter I couldn’t drink it. Long blacks are unforgiving I’m sure anything with milk would be better.

Staff were very attentive and welcoming from the moment i walked in. Food came out fast and was beautifully presented and tasted great too.
Would definitely go back.

We were advised by our Airbnb host to have breakfast here. The smoked salmon my partner was served was described as divine. High praise from her. My fussy tastes were accommodated in my bacon and eggs with avo. Great service from the staff too. A smile goes a long way.

Looking for somewhere to eat? - A busy, popular cafe that's well suited for a quick lunch . Fresh, healthy food served. Staff friendly. Enjoyed their chicken pide which comes with a seasonal salad . Very nice . Recommend.

Winters cafe in the hustle and bustle of Pakington Street Newton , 40 minutes drive from Werribee
Is a very modern cafe, the menu is very diverse & such creative cuisine
Prompt service staff are friendly and inviting

Yellow mellow Smoothie so refreshing and the mix of coconut just gels summer in a cup (even if it's winter)

House made Banana bread is just not your normal Banana bread that you can buy from the local bakery or petrol station their banana bread is topped with blueberry syrup , vanilla and wattle seed marscapone & grilled bananas & boy does it fill you up
Its a mix of sweet & savoury in one dish but just gels

Chocolate buttermilk pancakes
So fluffy & perfect portion for pancakes not too much enough to hit that's sweet spot but not overly sweet raspberry and white chocolate ice cream just adds that extra zing to this dish & breaks it up

Attended a team breakfast for 12 people on a Friday. All of our coffees were hot and served quickly! Despite being such a large group, our meals came out very quickly and were fantastic portion sizes across the table! I personally had the porridge with a side of granola. The granola was one of the best I've ever had. The staff were beyond friendly and attentive. 10/10!

Wow. Please trust me and get the Sri Lankan curry. Firstly the plating up is fabulous. And the textures, colours, taste and display are all utterly on point.

This is a very cute venue with a really good menu. We ordered two Korean hot dogs, chips to share and a green smoothie.

Cons:
- staff weren't friendly/pleasant, but they were polite enough...
- the sausage used was a Frankfurt!! It was the only let down of the dish.
- green smoothie had chunky nut bits sprinkled on top. It was cool to see but eventually just clogged my straw.

Pros:
- chips were sooooo golden, crunchy and delicious!
- condiments on the Korean hot dog were great and have inspired us to replicate at home, (with a better quality sausage!!)
- cute venue

Might give this place another try if we're in the 'hood, wouldn't go out of my way to come back though.

Winter's Cafe is very special...all the food offering here screams high quality and heart.

We ordered the Japanese Breakfast, Tomato confit with chili prawns (forgot the full description) beer battered chips.

Tomato confit is our absolute favorite. One for the discerning foodies. A beautiful dish in taste, texture and appearance. Seems so simple...variety of tomatoes, smokey chèvre, avocados, salad, dressing, chili prawns. 👍 from Nell.

Japanese breakfast is a brave choice on the menu. It has teriyaki grilled salmon, seasoned avocados, smoky mushrooms, and tamagoyaki (jap layered omelette). I like most of it. The combination is tantalizing and beautiful. Only dissatisfaction is the tamagoyaki should be richer in taste and more fluffy in texture. It's a simple but hard skill to master so I won't be too critical.

Chips is simple with perfect crunchy exterior and soft centre. It pairs well with the spicy aioli. Would love to see some rosemary infusion but this is high quality chips.

The setting in the place is simple and classy. Not sure which artist the cafe is working with but the artwork all around including the ones on the back of their menu is tastefully done. I appreciate it. Also appreciate the comfort and good services.

Will definitely come back if I swing by next time. And will try the awesome looking OMG muffin.

I fail to understand how cafés in Geelong CBD (meh) are able to score better than Winter's Cafe in Zomato.

A nice cafe in Geelong. All dishes seem to be well thought-out and executed. Food was presented beautifully & tasted just as nice. I would give this place a 5/5 if staffs aren't too soured-face, I spot a pleasant waitress but she didn't serve us, the two staffs who did were both unpleasant, cold & unfriendly.
Caitlin White
The new summer menu is delicious! They have a great set up that allows you to sit inside but with the folding shutters at the front you still get the sun and breeze from outside on a nice day. The staff are always polite and everything is reasonably priced!
Trwiki
Always a nice meal here. Good vibe if you want a nice healthy breakfast. I like that it's not in the main hustle and bustle of pako, just far away enough to feel relaxed.
Scott Martin
Good coffee in the 50-60degree range but chips slightly over done. Good atmosphere worth another visit. Quite posh bit of a upmarket hipsters hangout.
Brett
I had the blue eye and my friend had the chicken for lunch and both dishes were delicious can't wait to go back. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient
Lucas Mullin
Consistently good food. Great for breakfast, didn't think as much about the lunch menu but I haven't had lunch here. Coffee's good too. Recommended.

Consistently high quality food. Innovative and modern menu. Well presented and delicious. Very nice coffee. Great service. We go to Winters regularly when in Geelong for the footy.

After a great win by the Cats on Saturday night where we stayed in possibly the last available accommodation in Geelong we agreed to meet for Breaky at Winters Cafe. Our friends are Geelong locals and had not been there in a weekend
We waited 25 mins fir coffee and 38 minutes for breakfast (on top of the coffee wait)
Food was yummy if a little skimpy on bacon. One piece??
Second coffee we waited 15 mins again.
Plenty of staff who floated around with a smile but no eye contact. Perhaps something had gone wrong in the kitchen ??? Perhaps they should have said something.
In the end it gave us plenty of time to chat but have a piece of toast or cup of coffee before you arrive on a Sunday

A mixed bag. Service was prompt initially, I was offered a newspaper to read, nice atmosphere. I asked about the trout but the waitress couldn't tell me what came with it. Lovely cold glass of pinot gris. Trout arrived, stuffed with tomatoes, olives and over-fried kipfler wedges. There was too much liquid on the plate. Also, it was sort of plopped in a hurry, on the other side of the table from me. The fish was great, but I don't like olives! I wish I had been told, I would have ordered something else. Decided I needed a dessert. Wasn't overly thrilled by the desert menu, but went for a caramel slice. Asked if there was cream or ice cream to go with it - was told a flat no. It came, the smallest little slice I have ever seen. It was too sweet. $6.50! The whole bill was $41, and I was told to pay at the till. For $41, I really expect a little more customer service. Totally underwhelmed and feeling more than a little hard done by.

Great reading menu, and food tasted amazing. 👍🏼.
Head to the river end of Pakington Street on a weekend and Winter’s Cafe Geelong is arguably the busiest spot on the strip. This could be due to the hard work and dedication to quality that lead the team to clean up at the 2014 Golden Plate awards. Winter’s Cafe Geelong were finalists for best local food and best coffee, and took out the peoples choice award and best licensed cafe. That’s an achievement worth paying attention to.
Daniel
Loved the food, loved the service. Amazing feel inside with great finishes. It's a must if you haven't been here before.
A really nice local touch with the menu's also... Well done to the two lads in there.
Big Eyes For A Big Tummy
Not sure what the negativity is about this cafe - we thought the food was awesome! They use great fresh produce in their creative dishes and very generous serving size...for those complaining about price, should check out melbourne CBD cafes and the serving sizes you'd get with their pricing! Coffee and drinks were great and no problem with the friendly service. We arrived around 1.30pm on a Sunday and waited a couple minutes only for our table of 6 which they accommodated quickly for us.
Mall
Arrogant staff, particularly the males that I think own it! Gave it a 2nd chance... Never again! Can't beat Pako Pantry next door, fantastic friendly staff and beautiful food!
Dan Da Man
Don't go here! Disgusting coffee, unacceptable waiting time, totally disorganised staff, and average food.
FineDiners
A breakfast which totalled to $50. We each ordered two eggs (as the base), plus the extras of hollandaise, ham, and tomato. Also ordered were two iced coffees. Although the food wasn't too bad, it was definitely not worth $50! Normally, eggs benedict would come with hollandaise, but here it is considered a "side/extra". As a comparison, the eggs, hollandaise and ham here equalled $16 alone, whereas the cafe next door has eggs benedict (ham option) for only $13.50 which includes hollandaise. Also, personally I didn't like the bread it was on as the crust was very hard (even the egg yolk didn't soften it). Further, we've had iced coffees from so many different cafes but the ones here were the most expensive we've ever had. It's unlikely we'll be returning as it was quite average and we've had better for less!

Birthday brunch spoiled by terrible service from female wait staff!. I scheduled a birthday brunch for a large party at Winters Cafe. Arranging was easy and I appreciated that, but reports after the brunch were framed by the grumpy and careless female wait staff. One staff member carelessly pushed things onto the table causing a drink to spill on someones belongings - unacceptable and by all accounts, totally avoidable. With the exception of "the guy" who was nice, the service was terrible and the food only ok. Sad to say we will not be back Winter's!
Cornelius Longbottom
Had a very nice breakfast here food service and coffee was all good only negative was the poached eggs were fairly cold but other than that I would recomend
Anotherfoodie
Like. I find the service a little stand-offish at times, but generally it's fine. The food and coffee here is always a treat.
Geelong Diner
Finally!. Finally, finally, I find a place that can get a good breakfast.
The eggs are perfect. Just a slight scent of vinegar but otherwise just beautiful.
Staff are charming. Ham and bacon and mushrooms and sausages perfectly cooked.
I love that they are using Russian tomatoes but perhaps ordinary old ones are better cooked?
The Russian cooked ones aren't that nice cooked, due to the lack of acidity. Hydro or field are better.
Anyway, I'm being picky here. Overall it was the best breakfast I have had in a Geelong café in many years.
Just lovely and highly recommended.
It's a nice atmosphere and a lovely place to have breakfast. Finally.

Not whiting. I was so disappointed with Winters on my latest visit. I discussed the dish I was interested in with the waitress who told me the whiting was delicious. Being a whiting lover and knowing how scarce it is I was pleased at the prospect of eating it. It came on a bland bed of black barley no taste in it at all. And the fish was huge with a rough skin not whiting when I asked the same waitress she became very defensive and said it is a different sort of whiting it is trumpeter ! Ok so why wasn't I informed of that when I had the discussion trumpeter is trumpeter it is like saying flathead is a different sort of salmon. It was a bland and boring dish and I was not offered any compensation eg a free coffee would have been nice. Trumpeter is boring and bland and I would not choose it. My companion discussed the pork dish with caramel saying he didn't like anything too sweet. It was unedible the three of us tasted it and it was like eating a bowl of honey, again no compensation when he returned the meal to her she became very offended and dismissive. Sorry Winters you have lost us for a time. While I look for a restaurant who serves the fish they say they are going to serve

Such a shame, I left with no meal!. This wasn't my first experience as Winter's Cafe but it was most definitely the time that I was most disappointed, and enough to not return.
The current winter menu was extremely impressive on paper and when ordering from the lunch menu today, we were very excited to try the chicken with pomegranate.
We waited for an hour and when I asked the staff how much longer I would need to wait, I was informed that as I ordered the chicken it would take long to cook and this was the reason it was taking so long. The staff proceeded to tell me everything was made from scratch making things take longer. My assumption was that all the meals were made to order? We were informed it wouldn't be much longer so we went back to waiting.
15 minutes later, the staff member returned again to inform us that she was sorry but the docket must have 'blown away' and that they were now on to making our meals. I was extremely disappointed that we were obviously given excuse after excuse. My daughter was very hungry, being a toddler, and I was becoming impatient. We were informed it wouldn't be long. To add to the debacle, we were offered chips or a coffee to compensate. I didn't want anything apart from my meal. How insulting to assume that we were ignorant enough to know they were covering their incompetance.
Again we waited and waited but when I saw that staff were clearly not giving us any eye contact, one is assuming due to embarrassment, we realised it would clearly be longer than we were willing to wait. I picked up my bags, my well behaved daughter, and left without a meal even nearing our table. How many times would I have to ask regarding our order?
This was a total disappointment. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how the meal was as we didn't get it!

Love the food here, heaps of filling, tasty & healthy options in the menu. The chicken with freekah was amazing & can't wait to try the duck roti wrap! Sounds delicious! Staff are always friendly & attentive. Great local in Geelong. Added bonus of almond milk & plenty of vego & gluten free choices!
Bert's Breaky Blog
It's a winner!. Always good service there. Food is amazing, staff are really nice. Always a good idea to book a table for breakfast especially on weekends. Really can't find a bad thing to say about them.
Love the hollandaise guys. Bring it on..
E.b.t
Found the products on menu over priced and minimal in flavour!

Coffee was ok but given all the new places popping up along pako, they need to keep the standard consistent!

Staff could also crack a smile every so often! The staff create the vibe and a simple smile goes a long way!
Food Lover
Good food, drinks and decor, but perhaps a little more expensive than it should be.

The food is to die for, such variety and done to perfection. Best coffee. Oh my gosh the food here is amazing. I had what I would say was one of the best breakfasts of my life here about a month ago. It was salmon marinated in vodka and with this salad and gazpacho. It was to die for, so fresh, so amazing. I am so sad it is off the menu. Yesterday I had a trout salad which was delicious. It was so fresh and light and perfectly seasoned. I loved that the waitress came and asked us if there was anything we would change about the dish because it was their new season dishes. It is great that they want that critical feedback from customers so they can make the dish perfect. Every season the dishes change so it is a great idea to get feedback. I love it, favourite place for breakfast in geelong :)
Gasbrake
Sunday lunch - hard to fault. Quick service, excellent coffee, and both the fish special and the basic breakfast were delicous. Great find.
Hetty Spaghetti
Don't go there after 3pm, you will inconvience the staff greatly.
Peaceloveandfoodiness
Quality service, food and experience. One of the better cafes on Pakington st! Attentive and kind service, nice atmosphere both upstairs and downstairs, and fantastic food. Coffee has been hit and miss, but the food is always very, very good.
Amber Jane
The healthy ingredients they use make me very excited (chia seeds, quinoa, goji berries, almond milk, coconut sweetened yoghurt, yes please!) the food is fresh, the menu is current and the decor is cute as hell. Been here several times and I'm never disappointed. Great coffee, yummy cakes and the staff are lovely.
Mixali
Had a late lunch..... Really generous servings, quality food!
Tim
A mixed bag. The staff we encountered yesterday may need retraining. Is it so hard to smile and to at least look like you want to be there?
Servings were generous and the dishes we ordered were tasty and consistent. We thought the watery coffee was the worst thing about the cafe until we went to pay and the attitude of the girl who took our money topped that.
Kel Phlips
Great coffee. Best coffee I've had in Geelong.
Rex
Brilliant - food is great, coffee 9/10 and staff "little bit hot" in a good way. Try it.
Joint
Always great. I'm a regular and the new spring menu is great. This place is not ready to tread water. Still going from strength to strength. Well done Winters team.
Mondo Bon
Have been to winters twice, I can tell it's a great place to eat by how busy it always is but each time we have had problems first we waited an hour for our breakfasts (for two) plus also they didnt bring drinks, next time there was almost half an eggs shell in my husbands ommelette that we again waited a very long time for. Food is good once you get it and minus the egg shell.
Food Lover
Great coffee, food and staff... Definitely worth dropping in for a fead.. The sliders are delicious.... These guys are top notch!
Trish
Appalling value for $$. A busy cafe that is dropping the ball. With friends last week, 3 out of the 4 meals were woeful. Had a chicken roll which cost more than $12.00 (cannot remember exactly how much) and was presented with a white soft bread roll with a bit of chopped chicken and sprouts - that was it, not even a touch of colour ie lettuce. And for $9.50 had a glass of wine that consisted of three small sips. Two of the other meals were similar ie rolls with next to nothing in the fillings. Would feel ripped off if I had even paid $5.00 for the roll, let alone more than double that price.
Morgan F
I love Winters. This place is busy! Make a booking as it is almost always full. The food is constantly fresh, tasty, quickly served and inventive. The service is lovely and made me feel at home immediately. Eating is my hobby and Winters is easily on par with places like Auction Rooms, St Ali and Top Paddock in Melbourne.

I have to laugh at the rudeness (and hypocrisy) of people posting reviews at Urbanspoon. Rather than posting constructive criticism they vindictively attack people hard working, well meaning people. Remember, you are a guest and they are your host, not your servant.

Good work Winters, keep it up.
Nathan Lightfoot
Went for brunch the other day and was over rated. Staff where not friendly, and the meals looked rushed. For what we payed I expected more. Plus coffee was ordinary. Will not be back for a while. Must lift your game if your going to last on Pako.
Lopha
Food to die for, amazing service and a lovely environment. Always a pleasure to visit! Best on pako

I recently organised a work breakfast meeting at this cafe and they were just fantastic to deal with in every way. Organisation was easy and the food perfect. My new favourite cafe!!! Mark A

Best Cafe in Geelong. Winter's is exceptional. Matt and Bones have created the best cafe in Geelong. Nestled in the Chilwell end of Pako St, Winter's is always bustling.

My choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. Love the vibe, love the menu, love the staff. No bad words. When i'm at winters I feel like I've come home...

Awesome food and service.. I have been wanting to have lunch here for ages,as I have heard great things about the food and staff.I was lucky to be able to go for a very rare child free lunch.staff excellent and very friendly.I had the chicken and peach salad,it was yum m my sister had polenta patties and she loved them. coffee perfect and my ice tea Turkish apple ...delish.
I will be back again look forward to trying more a the yummy menu.
Hungry Hippo
Best cafe on Pako if not in Geelong. Killer brekkies, probably more expensive than your average cafe but then again a whole lot more delicious. You get what you pay for after all and in this case it is sheer deliciousness.
Stephanie Chan
Lovely cafe for mothers brunching - service and decor excellent. Food is quite 'fancy' though, so if you're in the mood for a big breakfast probably not the go!
Hannah
Love winters! Especially breaky! I dream about their breaky ever day! Good coffee and the friendliest staff. I love winters!
Greedygreedyguts
Excellent regional cafe. I came here for a wedding brunch and enjoyed the food and ambience. I had a tasty spaghetti vongole with juicy bits of crab and seafood. I thought it could have been a little more al dente with less onion, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I really love the homely decor, the place is full of pretty flowers!
Britt
Most delicious granola for breakfast! Friendly and helpful staff. Will be a new regular !
Tegan
Went there and tried the new summer menu, was really delicious. Good sized meal (couldn't finish all of mine) and the coffee was excellent. Definitely will be back, just make sure to book because its always jam packed in there!
Maddy
Good tucker!. Great food with lots of different alternative for breakfast! A little pricey though.
Natasha
Awesome food awesome service coking back for sure loved it

Had lunch with hubby. Place was packed however Service, coffee and food was still great. Well priced too. Food came out quick. Def will return... Breakfast menu is extensive with many interesting and yummy options - looking forward to returning for breakfast!
Bronwyn
I am a regular here and the service the food is ALWAYS spectacular . 20/10
Gluten Free Fi
Gluten free?. I was saddened to read on the new spring menu that "Pearl Barley Risotto" is recommended as "Gluten free without the zuchini flowers". Pearl Barley is not gluten free. It should say g.f. without the pearl barley. I cannot eat here if the chef doesn't know what ingredients have gluten. I had heard Such good things about this cafe. I'm sure they will want to learn more. I haven't read the rest of the menu but am happy to look closely at it if they want help.
Julia
Went here with my boyfriend for brunch. It was the first day of their new menu. The staff were lovely, the chef sucked. My boyfriend got a burger and upon biting in to it, found it was raw and hadn't been cooked through properly. The lovely staff took it away and said they would talk to the chef. I work in hospitality and if this happens, we usually make the meal again for the customer. The chef however, took the meat party out and cooked it further and put it back into the same burger bun. We knew this as when it returned to the table there was a bite missing from when mu boyfriend bit into it. He tried the burger again and it was still raw. Needless to say, we didn't pay for the burger and wont be back for a few months until they get their act together with the new menu. Disappointing as we came here on the good recommendation of friends.
Julesdm13
Lovely surroundings (we were upstairs so not too noisy). Food presented nicely. Thumbs up for my delicious eggs hell, others in our party enjoyed full bfast, raspberry iced tea, eggs heaven and some make your own selections. Very popular place and can see why
EmmaEats
Great food, great coffee, fast service. I had lunch with a friend here on Thursday. I had roasted duck curry beautifully presented with steamed rice, Vietnamese mint and corriander leaves, bean shoots and crispy onions. Deee-licious! My friend had a braised beef cheek pie - perfect on a cold gloomy day like it was. We took a while to choose because there were so many appealing items to choose from but were very happy with our choices. Service was fast and the coffee worth going back for.
Rhi
Really lovely place. Great atmosphere, yummy food & good coffee. Plus the stuff make you feel right at home. Can't ask for much more than that!
Coffee85
Breakfast was great .1 of the best I had had ,coffee was good.excellent service. I will be back
Lee
Winter's is amazing- can't fault the breakfast!!!
Have been 3 weeks in a row.
Excellent customer service, menu and food!
Bindolz
Saturday breakfast. A lot of sweet stuff on menu and none of the savoury stuff grabbed my attention but put together my own meal which they were more than happy to do and everything was cooked to perfection!! Friend had big breakfast which she enjoyed. Service excellent.
Pete Mack
Good tucker !. Our first visit to winters was an enjoyable one, funky place and a nice relaxed atmosphere upstairs, downstairs the place is buzzing.
great food and service, decent value for money but the very small chai latte @ $4 is expensive
Julian C
Excellent breakfast - great staff. Saturday breakfast. Very busy when we arrived and were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who helped us get a nice table. Someone had just left and the table was quickly cleared and cleaned and fresh water brought out. Coffee was excellent, we even had to order seconds as it was so good (don't usually). I had green eggs and ham which was delicious and a refreshing alternative to standard cafe breakfast fare. Despite being very busy, they had sufficient staff, all very good, to greet everyone as soon as they arrive and keep the service flowing smoothly. A rarity these days. Overall and excellent breakfast, highly recommended.
Elli
Ever since it has been under new management the service and food are flawless. Food is cooked with love and care and the owners work there and are always happy to see you. One of the best breakfast places in Geelong. (btw lunch is great too) Food is consistently good and they change the menu seasonally. A+++
Iggy
Nice food but not great though. My fish was too dry, but the watermelon salad is excellent. My wife's Wagyu burger is good, but can't say there's anything special about it. Service is fast and friendly. Overall a decent place to eat.
Shutupnathan
I can see why it's so busy. Solid service, great coffee and I'm pretty sure I'm about to slip into a food coma I'm so full.
JennyJ
Excellent in every way. Absolutely love this place, the corn fritters are amazing! Great service and beaut decor, probably my new favourite place for brunch in geelong.
Lola
Lola. Wow, this is a great cafe, by far the best breakfast in Geelong.
Louisa Clare Jones
Sad. The coffee and staff are still great, but the breakfast menu is no where near as good as it was before it changed hands. I wish they would go back to the yummy unique flavours they used to have. The new menu is rather bland - pass the salt and pepper!- and if I am going to eat out for breakfast I'd rather get something that I couldn't cook at home. Sorry. I won't be back.
Gavin
Just Delicious. Had breakfast here on the 26/11/2011. Went for the big breakfast. Not that big but very well presented and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Got to say the coffee was great.
BKJ
Never been there myself, but couldn't shut the wife up about (a) excellent service (b) great food (c) great coffee. You know what they say....happy wife happy life. It just be good :)
Jannet
Not that great. The food here is average, nothing to rave on about really.
We rate the food here at 4/10.

The service is ok & the staff are quite friendly.

A little over priced for a lunch menu,$48.50 for 2 meals
no entrees or drinks.
Better off at the Cremorne Hotel,Excellent quality food & cheaper.
Fleur Chapman
Since the new owners have taken over the place is awesome! Great yummy food and service is awesome, I have a young child and I only go to places that cater to her and don't think she's a nuisance
Ben Crawford

Love the sandwiches, breakfast is not that great and the scrambled eggs are terrible but lunch is really yum and their coffee is delish!
Tina
Great re-branding of a well established cafe which brings an organic feel to the open space. Great coffee, menu is fresh & innovative, service is exceptional.

Ah brunch on a public holiday, in a beachside town, at a nice looking cafe… looks like a promising start!

It took awhile for the 7 of us to settle down – What’s nice here?… What does this thing on the menu mean?… Should we share?… I’m hungry!… Yea, I think we should share, we’re going for ice cream later right?… No, I’m getting my own… I’m hungry!!!… Okok we’ll share without you! – but yes, we finally got there ;)

After a big night out for an engagement party, the bridesmaids organised a Sunday brunch with the loved up couple. A two story cafe, Winters fits quite a few people in, and with twelve people at our table, I was worried that the service would be slow and my coffee would take a while to get to me, however, I was wonderfully surprised. The coffee was perfect and our orders were taken quickly and efficiently. The wait staff seemed not to be too engaging with us but all seemed to be in their mid to late twenties and all seemed to have have plenty of hospitality experience. The coincidently named 'big night' breakfast was a popular order with the boys at the table, and all the girls opted for building their own breakfast starting with eggs as you like it and options of ingredients such as; spinach, haloumi cheese, local Queenscliff relish and other assortment of sauces, mushroom cups, tomato, Meredith feta, hash browns, avocado sm

The food was presented really well and I loved how the burger came out. The burger got the thumbs up and the chips were amazing. The calamari salad had a black bean dressing and strong Asian flavours. The calamari tasted good and was tender, but I wasn’t picking up Szechuan flavours.
