This place is a great little "hole in the wall" coffee shop. Stopped in here on a morning that was pouring with rain to take shelter and was not disappointed. The coffee was top notch and a ordered a toasted sandwich to go with it which was simply superb. I would definitely recommend this cafe.

Hidden gem within the city. Had the smashed avo and it was so good and filling. Coffee was superb too 👏🏼

I enjoy coming here for friendly smiley service that feels cosy. They have oat milk as an option which is what I order. The raspberry muffins are also delicious.

They do a few things and they do them really well. Love their paninis and love their coffee. Great little place that I enjoy stopping in at regularly.

It's small cafe which is in an alleyway, but the coffee was amazing! I live in Melbourne and drove there just for work but I am so glad that I stopped for a coffee here. The place was lively and welcoming and the staff was extremely polite.

Have been frequently attending this little hideout for years now, coffees are amongst the best I've ever tried, staff are always friendly and the cafe just throws off relaxed and good vibes. Perfect coffee catch up place

Coffees were average, strange given they use Campos coffee beans here and I've never had a bad coffee with those beans before. Asked for 1 sugar but must measure their sugars in cups as it was far too sweet. Might have been a bad day. Food menu pretty basic, had a sandwich which was reasonably priced at $10 but not very memorable. The place seems to be popular with nearby office workers but this may be due to lack of nearby competition more than anything else.

Great Coffee. After a quick search for good coffee in Geelong we found Fuel Coffee. Loved the venue, the friendly welcoming staff and the great coffee! Pity you are such a long way from Perth - it'll be a while before our next visit!!

Great little 'hole in the wall' with great coffee and service. The display road bikes hanging on the wall add to the nice atmosphere and funky outdoor seating. Velo friendly.

Nice. Loved it.. Really good coffee and lovely staff. Felt that I'd "found" a place. Very tight and tidy with an edge. Was looking for a Banksy as I walked out. Wow Geelong, you've come a long way.

No open on weekends. We had heard a lot about this place and cycled a round trip of 100kms to see what all the fuss is about only to find them closed on a Saturday. A cycle themed cafe closed on a Saturday? Lucky we found the best coffee in town nearby.

Made us feel welcome. We were passing through caravanning with our young children and wanted to get a good coffee... this place was recommended and was great. Even though most customers were from local businesses, they made us feel very welcome with the kids. Great custoner service, great coffee and delicious cakes.

You would have to be a FOOL to dislike this place!. Our favourite place to grab a coffee and a light snack. They are non stop busy busy busy and you know what?, that's a bloody good sign and you shouldn't mind waiting if you had too because you will get a top latte. I read below someone saying they are trying to be cool... Hey look here try-hard critic, they are... All of a sudden people are turning into food and coffee critics experts because they watch tv shows... Yeah right... FUEL- your the best in GTOWN.

Thanks a latte!. Although the puns may be terrible, the coffee certainly isn't. Perfectly made cappuccino, with a deliciously distinct flavour. Definitely recommend!

A simple menu made up for by offering great food. Coffee brilliant and overall ambience makes it a place to definitely return to. Love that it's down an alley and hard to find. Best places always are.

Always good. Haven't been here for a while, but dropped in for a coffee and enjoyed it. Once again, don't understand the negative comments about this place, suggesting it's 'trying to be Melbourne'. I don't get why people feel the need to be negative in this way, instead of commenting about the food/coffee. Totally agree with other comment that it is what it is, and that's good, albeit limited when it comes to food. I would suggest the proof is in the amount of regulars lining up for a coffee -that speaks for itself!

One of the best coffees in Geelong. If its not the best, it has to be in the top 3 coffee places in Geelong.<br/><br/>There is not much on the menu for food, but everything is nice and tasty. Not very filling though so I won't go there for lunch.<br/><br/>Worth the visit :)

Best coffee in Geelong.. I am never disappointed when I get my coffee from here, it's perfect. They use Bonsoy too, which is amazing and barely ever happens in Geelong!

Hipster Den for Geelong Wannabes. I have enjoyed a Campos coffee in Melbourne very much and thought this place would be just as good (if not better!) - I was mistaken.<br/>The atmosphere of this place - trying to be cool but not appearing to be cool. Attracts like minded people. If you're an average Jo, you will feel out of place.<br/>The coffee was made too hot and the coffee itself was made terribly. Such a shame, this place is giving Campos coffee a bad reputation. Try a Campos coffee made in Melbourne and compare the difference!

Always Good. Greg and the team never let me down. From the excellent coffee to the fresh food, I can rely on them. A great mix of people stop in making the place even more entertaining. At least I know when I come to Geelong, I can still get a real coffee.

Coffee was average and probably too weak. I heard great things about the place but it didn't live up to the hype. It felt a bit 'try hard', ripping off the Melbourne coffee house styles. This place will go down well with those wanting to feel like they are part of the hip crowd...which isn't Geelong at all. The three times I've been there, the service has been less than average bordering or rude.

Fuel = Fuel for my day. Great coffee, great service = great place for Geelong locals.

Good but Over rated. Came here for one of their famous coffees. Place looks great. Awsome ambiance but I must say after giving it three trys while their coffee is good it is far too weak for my liking. <br/>Its like drinking "commercialised coffee" for the masses. This suprised me as I was under the impression this was a serious coffee place. To top it off the coffees are overpriced as is the addition of an extra shot. I felt as if they were purposly making their coffees weak so you would be forced to buy the extra shot as most people did while I was there.<br/><br/>Theres not really much food and what food there was, was ridiculously over priced!! Do not go here for lunch!<br/><br/>If you want a place that makes you "cool" then feel free to give this place a go but they are definitely not what i would call the best coffee in town.

They burned the coffee. Everyone raves about this place but I just don't get it - they can't even get a long black right. With a long black you can taste the coffee, and these guys burnt it. Never going back.

So-so. Well a utter rip off of the Melbourne coffee houses, bit of a shame really. When are people going to come up with their own ideas?? Coffee drinkable, which is more than I can say for others in the area. Simple food. Would I go back? Yes, but not in a hurry

Hot Blondie. I arrived with no expectations as I'd previously heard some dubious things about the customer service at fuel, but was pleasurably surprised when i walked out having plowed through a great coffee, ok food & amazing spontaneous oral from the friendly waitress. Highly recommend!, lots of eye contact and cheeky smiles.

Amazing. I used to work in one of the offices down the road, It was my favourite thing to go and get a coffee from Fuel every morning. I have to say that it is the best coffee that i have ever tasted.

A real gem in Geelong, nice atmosphere a super vibey friendly staff. Cheap eats and good produce not to mention delicious! Will be back for sure.

The staff were great and friendly. They understood all my allergies an there menu was easy to order from. I was a bit disapointed withe the extra surcharge for Gluten free and that the Gluten free toasted buns were half the size of the normal wheat buns yet they cost a more. It is a disapointment.

Amazing. Greg makes the best coffee in Geelong without a doubt, offers a nice range of lightish stuff to eat, and puts it all together with friendly but not overbearing service. Kinda wish it was a bit bigger so that seating wasn't as cramped, but suspect this would detract from the vibe.

Tight and Charming!. What a great addition to the Coffee St. (or just off) of Geelong. Since opening these guys thrive on great quality take aways with tight but comfortable spaces to eat/drink in. Great quality, panini's and pastries. . . do yourself a favour if you haven't found it yet . . . better still do Coffee crawl and rate them all!

I like that the owners remember everyones names and always provide service with a smile. The coffee and atmosphere is rare for Geelong and hopefully a sign of things to come

Geelong's hidden secret!. Tucked away behind a barber, this little coffee shop is worth the find. With beautifully designed interior the coffee shop can barely hold all the costumers that flock to their doors.. Staff are ultra friendly and know you name after a few visits, Coffee is outstanding! Love this place!. It's really nice to be greeted by friendly and smiling staff. Head barista found us a table during a very busy lunch session and our coffee arrived shortly after. Delicious paninis and two rounds of sensational coffee! Best short mac I've had in Geelong. Must check it out.

Fill the tank up ..... Tucked away location in a small cul-de-sac , with a bare bones interior industrial-stylee .... friendly greeting followed by excellent coffee ... I can't talk about coffee as if it were wine (micro-mini-foam with chocolate amaretto overtones ... say whaaat?) ... but I know what I like, and this coffee ... I LIKE. Quite tricky to leave without having two or three to be honest ....<br/>Gluten-free ham and cheese panini (about A$10) was more than pleasant, and a blueberry danish was excellent, all buttery crispy fruity and gooey.... <br/>Probably the best place in Geelong to drop-in and get your caffeine fix. Highly recommended.

Nailed it! This place is it.. Now I'm a coffee connoisseur (in my mind!) and have approx 20 other venues on my work doorstep to get coffee from BUT I make the walk to get my coffees from FUEL! One word A-mazing! It Oozes cool from the laneway destination, delicious simple food & even has somewhere to hang the bike after a long ride.. See u today for a latte Fuel team. :)

Real coffee from someone who clearly loves what they do.. This morning we had a crunchy, buttery chocolate danish and a silky fine-textured coffee that packs a flavor punch big enough to set anybody's day off on the right note.

Finally there's somewhere to get consistantly good coffee in Geelong? We've waited sooo long. Well done fuel!

More than just Fuel!. At last the Geelong CBD has a laneway coffee destination worth talking about. My espresso was delicious and velvety, and the latte arrived with exquisite micro-foam and lingering hints of caramel - destined for addiction! No encouragement needed when asked if I wanted another one.
