Fabulous GF seafood, great service and wonderful value. We turned up early for our booking and they were more than happy to accommodate us! My favorite place for a casual seafood meal, and well worth a trip from Melbourne. We’ll be back!

Was my best dinner.Great food and great attentive staffs... I hadnt been out there since 10 years ago on mother's day . I went out to Geelong.This is the best mother's day .I will recommend it to anyone if you are traveling to Geelong. Stop over and taste their food.�

The best falafel I’ve ever had! Not too strong and tasted unique. Good for large groups, very friendly service. Needs more vegetarian and vegan options.
Exceeded expectations. The southern burger and gummy burger were both fresh and delicious. Our meals were brought out within 10 minutes of ordering and the staff appear to be friendly. Would recommend to a friend 10/10.
Excellent experience
We had the king George platter on Christmas Eve dinner, loved the calamari and mussels. The rest are average. I can’t say if it’s the best place to have seafood in Geelong because I’ve never tried other places, but the place was quite busy that night, especially customers non-stop arrived to get some take-away. I would recommend this place though for the best service and nice staffs. 2 of us couldn’t finish the platter, despite it’s written on the menu it’s for 2-3 and 4-5 servings, we tried anyway. I was hoping there were some lobster and buck included in the dish.
Nice fish and chips, done and fried quite well - crunchy. Reasonable wait time for the meals. We also had the natural oysters and the mussel pot. The mussel was a bit too salty for me.
Good spot on a nice day, probably one of the best fish and chips I have tried. The fish was cooked perfectly and light, plus its not too salty.
The mussels was full of flavour and the oysters are nice and fresh.

Absolutely delicious food. We went as a party of 9, and all of us really enjoyed our food. I had the spicy fried chicken souvlaki, which was truly awesome. Great service, reasonable pricing and a great menu. I highly recommend it! 😊
THE BURGERS ARE AMAZING HERE and me and my friends always come down to Geelong to come to this resteraunt!! It's in such a beautiful location too, so close to the beach, we love love love this place and couldn't recommend it more
Best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time! Was a bit warm inside though, we were kind of hoping for air con on a 40 degree day. We were seated quickly and given water, menus and kids got colouring, but had to get someone’s attention to actually order. Besides that the service was great, food was delicious - fresh, crispy chips, tasted like it was actually cooked in clean oil! Would definitely recommend.

King George is one of the many cafes near the shores of Geelong. Although they serve fish and chips, they also do a variety of other foods on their menu.
Had the King George Whiting grilled with the two sides of salad(greek and spinach) combo for an extra $8. The whiting was small which was expected as the fish itself was small but luckily the huge servings of salad was able to fill me up. Both salads were delicious, loved the pumpkin with the spinach and also enjoyed having feta in the greek salad. I loved how they serve the tartare on scallop shells - thought it was really cute and novel. The sweet potato chips were delicious($8 for large), and while not as cruncy as I'd like, the flavours were there and the servings were huge. Of course I had to finish off the meal with dessert and the sticky date pudding($8) caught my eye. Contrary to the traditional, dense pudding, this one was light and fluffy and of course served warm with butterscotch sauce and ice cream. Great meal, great flavours and serving size(except for the fish) though mains were slightly on the more expensive side.
Love the modern interior here and how spacious the cafe is. The waiters are also very friendly and attentive, although some times when they were chatting at the back it was hard to get their attention. The service and decor only add positively to your experience :)
Had takeaway Fisherman’s Platter from this place on a halfday! The Sun was out, and there was a delectable seabreeze rollicking about.

I love this 'fish and chip' shop! I come to Geelong a few times a year and will always hit it up. Food is fantastic and service is always wonderful. My favourites are the southern fried chicken burger and the fish tacos. Pricing all reasonable. Only downfall charge for sauces, otherwise perfect!
Following in the footsteps of many other fish and chip stores, King George Fish and Grill adds a touch of sophistication to gluten free fish and chips. The restaurant overlooks the water at 100 Western Beach Road in Geelong. We tried a few different items on their gluten free menu to see exactly how good they are.
We loved this restaurant. Easy booking, seated on nice sized tables. Great meal sizes. I had the delicious grilled fish and sweet potato. Fresh ingredients. Boys had fish and chips and calamari. Hubby enjoyed seafood basket. Service was brilliant. Loved the desserts. All up 4 main meals, drinks and 2 desserts we spent under $100. Highly recommended
Amazing food, fresh, tasty and plenty served. Staff friendly and helpful and location is perfect on a beautiful summers day or when we went, watching the dark clouds over the bay.
We are staying in Geelong for a weekly short holiday and attempting to try as much diners as possible - we verdicts this place as the best eatery near eastern beach after trying the others. (Yes, I knew that's many great restaurants outside the beach area, but we love the sea!)
The seafood is fresh - seafood platter comes at reasonable price with decent size. I also do recommend checking the special menu on the wall. They looks yummy too.
Slow but friendly service. Nice fried food but greasy to the point of translucency in parts if you like that kind of thing. Food served on small oval metal dishes which is a bit odd to eat from. Nice and quiet though - away from the noisy main strip. Good choice if you have children.
Marked down because there was not cutlery or serviette provided with my take away order, and the girl behind the counter is very abrupt, customer service and her don't mix. The FnC were spot on.
Awesome place for a healthy lunch. Veg souvalaki tasted like it had home made falafel in it. If you feel a bit hungry recommend the gym junkie. Only downside, drinks were served out of the can & not on glasses & took over an hour for our food.
came in here today with my partner and ordered one of the new specials they have which is a seafood linguine and the staff were really polite and friendly and the coffees were also delicious (thank you to the lovely girl who made it for us). overall a really relaxing place with a great view, would definitely recommend!

Came in for dinner last night and had such a good experience. Staff was very attentive and food came in good time considering it was quite busy. We had fish tacos and a seafood linguini. Both were really tasty and yummy. Only thing was they didn't have the sweet potato wedges. Great atmosphere, great view and great food. Definitely recommend this for a nice evening out.

Ordered a barramundi with chips and salad. Was amazing👌 took some time to get the food, but it was worth it. Went on a beautiful sunny day, the location is absolutely beautiful! It's facing the Cunningham pier at waterfront. Food is served fresh and hot! Enjoyed it! Would recommend everybody to check this place out!
Must visit food place. Staff really welcoming and food is reasonably priced. Loved the fish and chips. If I can suggest one thing for improvement that would be..., when someone orders drinks please give them an option to get their entree with drinks as compared to getting entree and main course all together.
The service and staff at King George's is second to none. They are polite, professional and prompt. The food is sensational, with big portions and fresh flavours. If you are eating outside they offer a lovely view of the bay. Inside is well spaced and comfortable. Highly recommended for those looking for a good quality meal and great service.
Great service, food not oily. Best freshest and fatest piece of grilled fish, fantastic potato cakes. Chips are good, not amazing but good. I can't explain how good the grilled fish was. I always get grilled and more and more I find it coated in batter and looking like a pancake, all to make it look bigger. This fish was just perfect, great size and no disgusting batter on it! Will get again next time in Geelong. Good variety of softdrinks and they range alcoholic beverages too. Outdoor and indoor seating area and across from the beach. Thanks for an awesome feast guys.
Definitely the one and only place you need to be if you want Fish and chips, awesome deep fried cripsy fish and friendly services. Highly recommended, and special compliment to Craig for his wonderful services.
Cool vibe and nice layout. The menu has a solid bit of variety to it but when you get your meal... Lovely! Great serving size! Really nice fresh flavours. The jalapeno poppers were fantastic! My daughter's kids meal ticked all the boxes and when we were done we had smiles on our faces from great service and equally great food. Can't wait to visit them again next time we're in Geelong.

Absolutely superb - burger, fish, chips, d-sims and even the fresh lemon slices (ie not rotten like you get given in some dumps)...oh and great service too!

A couple of days ago had an absolute pleasure to visit this lovely eatery in Geelong. What a joy! The set up of the place, location, food & staff: all of it is second to none!
Comprehensive menu, great choices of food & beverages, but most importantly, the professionalism, courtesy & care taken by staff, in particular 2 young men looking after us, Craig & Josh!
What a delight, what an asset to the establishment to have such great staff, dedicated to the business & people their serve! Absolute must to visit when in Geelong! Thank you guys! We'll be back!
