Review Parkers Steakhouse - Geelong

The BEST steak I've ever eaten! We had the Wagyu and it was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth! The front of house staff were so cheery and nothing was too much to ask, it was such a breath of fresh air. We'll definitely be returning!

Excellent service, the attached photo was the T-bone I ordered, it was medium rare with a creamy mushroom sauce. The main meal arrived in under 15 minutes, immediately after entrees. The steak was absolutely fantastic. The grilled salmon (back of the photo) was also very good.

My husband and I went to Parker’s steakhouse tonight, as part of our honeymoon celebration, and we were blown away. The food was top quality and the service from the staff was exceptional. Next time we are in Victoria, we will make a point of coming back it was that great!

Amazing food, environment, staff, the works. Cannot recommend enough

Great for a special occasion or if you just feel like treating your self to a nice dinner. Good atmosphere and comfortable. Big shout out to all the staff who really make the place what it is.

Absolutely terrible. This was spose to be medium. It was inedible for the wife. Mine was the porterhouse and was very average too, very chewy. I've had better steaks from a supermarket. The sauces very pretty ordinary as well. Pretty sad when the best bit of the meal was the chips.
Tonya Barnes
Absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked rib, rump and eye fillet. The chicken gravy had a little too much pepper for a plain gravy. But could not fault steaks.
Frank Matthies
Lovely, friendly service throughout the evening. The steak meal was fantastic. Looking forward to the next opportunity to indulge there again.

Easily the best steaks in Geelong. Service was excellent and wines were very well priced. We were going to eat around the corner and decided to pay that extra $10 head to get a quality meal, rather than just a good one

The staff did their best but obviously not enough staff on to service the amount of guests. A Tuesday night, a booked table & we had to wait for 1 & 1/2 hours to be served our meal. Have been there twice, first & last!

It's been a little while since I've been here and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious, beautiful and left my tastebuds wanting more. Thank you to the chef and staff.

The food was amazing, the sauces were to die for and the drinks were amazing, the only downfall was that the staff kept forgetting to bring us menus, we had been seated for about half an hour and received several drinks before the menus came out. If it wasn't for the menu problem, probably would have given a 5star

On arrival my husband and I were directed to our table upstairs. Unfortunately hubby isn't very mobile and using a cane at the moment. Our first visit, so we hadn't even considered stairs. The young girl checked with her manager who immediately found us a great table downstairs with no hesitation. Every staff member we had contact with was excellent. Efficient, friendly and helpful. The steaks were excellent, cooked exactly as requested, and the meals were huge. Service was great. The whole experience was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend Parkers Steakhouse.

Our waiter was Friendly and helpful. But slow on table service. Waited for ever for a Medium and a rare steak. The rare steak was perfect but the medium was less cooked than the rare. When we mentioned it to the waiter his attitude changed, we where told if we wanted it cook more we should have asked for a well done steak??? The steak was raw and un eaten. No offer to cook it more or get another steak. After that point we recieved no feed back, no table service and didn't even recieve our bill. On approaching cashier we recieved a bill with full charge. We mentioned politely that one of our steaks was not cooked to our satisfaction and wasn't eaten. We again where told we ordered wrong and it was our fault!!! Very rude arrogant cashier. He reluctantly removed the charge for the un-eaten steak continually telling us it was our fault. Never to return. Can get a better steak the way i like it at The Commo for half the price.

Awesome service, friendly staff, good range of meat, sauces and drinks. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a guaranteed satisfying meal that is to die for. Kudos to my main man Cruise, you are a top notch mate

Really good but what lets it down is bottled sauce & jelly as an accompaniment for that delicious beef sausage and grilled halumi cheese. If your going to cook the best and charge for it then make it even better by making your own accompaniments instead of buying them in. By the way...your home made mushroom sauce is spectacular!

We had the most amazing night here. Great steaks, wine, service and the ribs were the best we have ever eaten. Thanks so much!

After all the hype I got invited here for dinner. Firstly the service from our waiter was great. She was polite and prompt and had a good sense of humour. The entree was outstanding. Garlic mushrooms. Cheese. Ribs. Outstanding The main. $39 scotch steak plus $6 For sauce. Chips were over cooked and medium rare Was very chewy. The sauce was amazing. But the steak was average. Overall ok experience. Can't say I'll go back any time soon due to price.

Really enjoyed our meal at Parkers Steakhouse. It's a beautiful old building and the atmosphere is great. The eye fillet steak with mushroom sauce was perfect, as was the rest of the meal.

Ordered 2 steaks both well under cooked one of them came out blue, was not pleasant at all. Got another 2 sent out and still under cooked to the point we just left. Then when we went to pay for our meals and I just said it was undercooked we weren’t rude about it, the gentleman who served us was rude, snappy and just disrespectful. Won’t be going back!

We came here on Friday night for our 4 year anniversary. The staff are so friendly and the food was absolutely amazing! Couldn't fault a thing! We had the entree for 2 & Porterhouse & Scotch for mains! Loved loved loved it! We'll be back!

Great service, uncomplicated menu, good wine choices, great ambience and lovely historic building. Definitely will return

Booked for 8pm, arrived at 7.55pm. Ordered by 8.10pm with no warning that there would be a delay on orders. To then be told at 8.45pm by a waitress that they apologise for the wait but your steaks are coming soon. We asked how much longer for her to return to say they are just going on the grill now, so will take another 20mins or so. No offering of any bread, complementary drinks or no word from the manager on duty. Poor service, we were left to order drive through on our way home pissed off at our experience, but was made better by the service we received from them as this was A+ compared to what we received at your establishment. Never again will I recommend your restaurant and thank you for ruining our anniversary dinner!!!!!
Paula Blannin
We enjoyed the great food & atmosphere. Highly recommended especially food from the grill.
Alex De Villiers
Inattentive staff, waiter never checked our table after initial check, order was wrong, forgot onion rings, wasn't even on the docket. Steakhouse that can't cook their steak how you ask doesn't count as a proper steakhouse, use a thermometer if your chef is incompetent. This place feels like it's being run by school kids. Asked for take aways to go cook the steak properly at home and they "misunderstood", binned the food and told us they're not licensed to give take aways. Clearly this is to prevent the outside world from seeing the poor quality.

Fantastic service, great wine and amazing steak. This place is as good as I remembered from years ago! The eye fillet was tender and cooked to perfection. It was complimented perfectly with the creamy garlic sauce. Absolute perfection.
Nick Griffin
Exceptional service. Fantastic food. Fabulous atmosphere. The steak was cooked to perfection, the sauce was to die for, and the refreshing garden salad topped the whole experience off. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time, accompanied by friendly service, the night was one to remember. For a special occasion, birthday or simply a good meal with the boy, I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Just get in here and check it out for yourself.

One of the best steaks that I’ve ever eaten in Australia 😊👍 I will always remember the great taste and will always return every time I’m back again later when I visit Australia again later ☺️ The food was amazingly great and the services was very friendly and nice... That’s a great steakhouse suppose to be 😁 Thank you for the chef who cooked the great pork belly, t house and the pork ribs and thank you for the staff for a really great friendly services, 고마워요 🙇

Best dish consumed was the lamb cutlets- cooked and seasoned well. My scotch fillet came out blue rare, though I ordered rare. You can’t go wrong with baked potatoes with sour cream, just wish I could say for the same the mushroom sauce that was sour and unpleasant. The ribs is on another level of disappointment. The meat is dried and coated with a tangy basting and would not recommend this dish.

AMAZING🤤💥🥩
I have been to Parker’s Steakhouse on two occasions now and it honestly just keeps getting better and better🐮 ❤️ The service is outstanding and the menu is to die for. The pricing is far less expensive then many other steakhouses for pretty much the same dining experience! It’s also great for special occasions, I had a birthday dinner here with family and it was perfect🎉 steak was cooked to exactly how you wanted it and a range of different gravy’s to make everyone happy 💕 It is also the most beautiful blue stone building which makes the experience that much better.
Overall 11/10 for service, food and setting 🧚🏻‍♀️🌟🍷🥩

Nice and cosy little steakhouse.
The menu is diverse in its selections and has a wide range of options. However, the price per head is quite extravagant. You pay $40+ for a steak and get served with a side of bland, pre-frozen chips? Quite depressing to nibble on after a nicely cooked and seasoned steak.
Also, the sauces should be complimentary, not additional. You pay $5 for a serving of mushroom sauce when it would of cost penny’s to make (in bulk).
The in-house steak baste was delicious though.
I was full and satisfied after my meal, however I’ll be getting the baked potato as a side next time, not McCains frozen chips.
Would eat here again.
Hilton
excellent meal, steak was grilled to perfection, basting sauce was yummy, chips were really good, Danish blue cheese sauce was ultra yum, and onion rings were best I've had in Aus! brilliant all round! highly recommend!

Saw this on zomato know it would be quite premium in price how we didn't expect the actual price is even higher than the menu listed in zomato.i would imagine an established venue like this would check and make sure it's correct. Steak is OK, nothing fancy, disappointed they charge extra for sauce too. Our lamb cutlet was overcharged and are a bit dry too. Otherwise Environment is good, service is good.

Great steaks I’ve eaten here more times than I can remember, it’s the Goto for steak in Geelong and surrounding, the chefs gravy is a must try on your steak by far one of the best sauces I’ve had.

No. Of Visit: 3
Overall Verdict: An ok-ish steak house in terms of meat quality and price. Amazing venue with old bluestone wall.

Steaks ★★★☆☆
All are pretty good meat but you don't see fancy options like Grass-Fed, Grain-Fred or Dry-Aged in here. Meat are a bit on the "well-cook" side. The sauce is quite beautiful though.

Details ★☆☆☆☆
Really have only minimum presentation: butter is served with package; no plating; really harsh on photo options.

Service ★★★★★
Very fast and attentive, staffs have ample understanding about menu and confident with their wine recommendations.
I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service we received from the waiters! The quality of food exceeded my expectations! I would recommend this venue to my family and friends and will be back again!

Excellent steaks cooked to perfection. Gorgeous old building with heaps of character and a great wine selection. The only downside is the side is a pile of chips with no salad, said chips are yum though!

Hi! We have eaten at Parkers many times. The restaurant is old style with a slate floor and lots of bluestone and timber, appealing to some.

The menu is serious meat! We have had the mixed entree and ribs plenty of times. The ribs can be a little chewy from time to time. The baked mushroom with feta dish is a nice change from the predominately meat menu.

The steaks are usually cooked well and to order on the grill, but be warned you may have a wait as they don't over crowd the grill to control what's being cooked.

The steaks are priced and weight is listed, on par with other steak places we have been in the region and Melbourne. It's not cheap but you can get away depending on how you order without a massive bill.

Service is touch and go at times and very noticeable when busy, big drop.

It annoys me how they charge an extra $4.5 for sauce/gravy/mustard. The chips are frozen and I'd recommend the baked potato. The bread comes to the table with butter straight out of the fridge, so impossible to spread - sounds super fussy I know but this is how it is.

Car parking is poor due to the location and the club up on the corner. I would suggest eating early so you can get in and out with ease.

We liked the Drysdale restaurant when it was open, since sold, car parking was not an issue and there was heaps of space.

We rotate steak places so we will be back but in due course.

The best steak and ribs in Geelong! Also possibly the worst chips in Geelong, no effort put into them, seem to put them on as a after thought or like they hate people who like chips, if i was the incredible meat these guys put on the plate i would be offended to share it with such bland, boring, offensively dull pieces of potato. No love from the staff, especially the surly guy greeting people (its been the same guy on all 3 occasions we have been there) and all round bad energy in the building. Also, charging fees for paying with card is a bit rubbish in 2017... Good for you guys my wife craves your delicious meat every now and then!

Best steak we've ever had. Melts in your mouth. The service was very good, too. We're torn between sharing how good it is with others to make sure they never go out of business and with keeping it as our family secret place to go out! Highly recommend.

This...This was incredible.
Setting: Old brick turn-of-the-century style building with tables scattered in a roomy but cosy fashion. Grill as you walk in on the right, with great samples of the delights on offer being attended by the masters of the art. Service: on point and hardly anything amiss.

Dodged the starters and spent most of my time on eyeing the mains and sides (big lunch, sorry). I went for the Scotch fillet, MR, with the waitress recommending the Black Pepper sauce and a nameless glass of red nectar to wash it down, (nameless only because I let her choose the accompaniment) backed up a side of Fetta-stuffed mushrooms. All of this was prime fare, served quickly and efficiently. My companion for the evening had the Eye Fillet 300g cooked M with BBQ sauce and chips, and stuck to his Southern and Lemonade. He did manage to choose asparagus and garlic butter as a side, which was an inspired choice

And OH THE FLAVOURS!! The balance was that of a Russian gymnast! The steak was cooked to the uncompromising standards of my minds' eye, the baked potato the basic, ungarnished side it needs to be (lest it steal glory from the maestro) and the mushrooms were perfect. The creaminess and saltiness of the fetta with the steak and its pepper sauce and the softness of the steak and the shiraz all blended into something I pray my dreams are made of!

Kudos always to our waitress, who unflinchingly answered my gallows humour and shallow wit with the rapier of her laugh and pillow-like patience in setting up culinary delights for a punter who starts the night with Jack Daniels and Coke and finishes it with Sticky Date pudding! Which was also up to and over my usual high standards!

If you fancy a steak cooked to exactly the standard you want and expect GO TO PARKERS! If you haven't been here, go! If you are a vegetarian, the serve that too! Atlantic Salmon is on the menu for the pescatarians and the starters, sides, desserts, cuts of meat and drinks list are top notch, with a wine list that would have sommeliers nodding sage approval (wasted on me after 2 days of 12 hour shifts, sorry!)

Will go again. Promise.

Be sure to book a table!
Dan
Everyone at our table really enjoyed our meals! Most people had steak and a couple had the chicken breast!! Food was amazing, highly recommend this little gem if you are in the area. Cost of the meals is quite expensive but well worth it for the quality of food! Service was fantastic too!

Over priced. Not worth the money.
2 Medium rares came out very rare.
Ribs never came out.
Ordered one scotch and one porterhouse but got 2 scotch.
Was basically told by the manager that the ribs were our fault for not mentioning it when they asked about the steaks only 5 minutes after we had just started eating.

Since moving to Geelong from Melbourne recently my girlfriend and I have been trying out the restaurants. We came here because the reviews seemed quite positive.
Ordered 1 porterhouse with chips and one scotch with potato bake both medium rare, the rack of pork ribs, and a greek salad.
The beef dishes came out after 15 minutes and looked good, however they were both genuinely uncooked inside, definitely not medium rare. The chips were meh and the salad was ok. A waiter came over after 5 minutes of starting our meal and asked how everything was. I told him the steaks were very rare but it was ok because we didnt mind too much. We continued eating until we were finished and then realised that our ribs had not come out but by that stage it was too late anyway so we ordered the bill a little disappointed.
The bill comes back for about $90 and says 2 scotch instead of 1 porterhouse 1 scotch.
The owner told us that we should have mentioned the rips and the steaks when we were asked about our beef, but it was too early then and we didnt even give it a second thought.

We wont be going back. Totally not worth the money.
Best Steakhouse in Geelong.
Perfectly cooked to medium rare. You know it's good when the texture is like jelly. The steaks are well priced.

The chips had no salt though and I didn't realise the sauce to go with the steak was an additional $5 because they're usually part of the priced meal.

The service is friendly here. I would definitely recommend this place for steak enthusiasts. Definitely a great place to visit if you're in the area.
I wasn't too sure what to expect when we came to Parkers Steakhouse in Geelong. I'll start with the good first - the steak was great and cooked as ordered (dipped in some kind of delicious glaze?). The service was attentive and the ambiance was nice too. The complimentary bread on the table was nice (but butter sent to the table in a package though?) I was disappointed by all the sides we had (fries, salad, peppercorn sauce) - the fries seemed to me like frozen commercially prepared chips and the salad was unimaginative and covered in a dressing that could have come off the shelf at a supermarket. All and all a definitely unpretentious place that gets the steak right.

Main: 300g Angus Eye fillet and Black pepper sauce.
Side: fried onions

Bread and butter was provided at the beginning. +
Steak was cooked as per requested. Black pepper sauce was a lovely addition to the meal. +
Fried onions weren't overly coated (which is good), but were quite oily. +-
The chips could do with a bit more seasoning, but were cooked well. +

Overall, a good meal. A steakhouse that cooks a good steak.

A grilled steak has to be grilled adequately charred on the outside yet tender and succulent and retaining beef flavours on the inside.

Parkers has got the tenderness right but the flavours and charred effect are just not there.....

Your guys need to visit New York where the best steaks are still prepared ...although as an Australian I hate to admit that...

Secondly Parkers serves the jacket potato and refuse to offer any chives and bacon bits to top up ...the management cant give me a valid reason why they dont......hey the cost is minimal ....just do it and make a customer happy...even the staff dont understand why these Canadian owners wont do it ...

I think Geelong needs another GOOD steak house ..for those who comment that Parkers is great ..you deserve better...

Rgds

Denis DCotta

Been here once to see what the fuss was about. It has a high reputation by word of mouth of being the best steakhouse in Geelong. Thought I'd try it out. Staff were friendly nice and speedy service. The owner was a very friendly nice man and enjoyed a good joke. But value for money I wouldn't say it is. You have to order gravy, salads or any thing to go with your meat separately. It cost more than $200 for my friend and I. The steak was delicious mine had a fair bit of fat on it. I still enjoyed myself but with value and cost wise you will be out of pocket. I can now say I've had the experience of going to parkers.

Came here on a Friday night at 8:30 and it was packed out - I understand why! The food was amazing, I got a wagyu beef steak (their special of the night) with mushroom sauce and it was cooked to perfection. We also got the baked mushrooms with feta as an entree which was delicious, and the chocolate mud cake with ice cream for dessert. Everything was decently portioned and I was truly stuffed by the end of it. Service was very friendly and accommodating. My only gripe is that it is rather pricey, but I'll happily be back for special occasions.

My girlfriend (yes I have a girlfriend now -- suck on that world!) and I came here when we stayed in Geelong over the Labour Day weekend back in March.

What can I say. I've been to Squires Loft a few times, and this place is exactly the same, which should come as no surprise as it is a subsidiary/spin off of Squires.

I can't remember what I ordered, a steak of some sort (see my awesome photo attached) and as per usual, it hit the spot as a Squires Loft steak often does. The baked potato was good too.

Dammit, now I want a Squires Loft steak. Or should I say a Parkers Steakhouse steak. Whatever.
Jonny Foster
Sublime. Not cheap but great food and cracking service. Good sized portions and a good service with a nice atmosphere. The smell walking in to the place is one to savour! Highly recommended.
Nigel Earnshaw
Fantastic steaks, good wine list with fair prices, and attentive service. I enjoy a good steakhouse and would definitely come back here to enjoy another relaxed and delicious experience.
Jane Hearn
Ambience of the place was literally a steak out. Live up to its name of "top quality steak. Steak cook to perfection! And do not miss out the baked mushroom w feta cheese, it's awesome! Staffs were super helpful. Definitely the place to come to for best steak!
The Fat Duck
Nestled in s little side street, this is a fantastic restaurant, great service. The steaks cooked to perfection, timing and service was brilliant.

Chillihotsauce007
First time visitor after hearing rave reviews from everyone and it didn't disappoint. Had the rib eye steak med rare and although in parts it was rare, bordering blue, it still tasted fantastic. Black pepper sauce was awesome and so was the wine. Will definitely be back.
Lucas Mullin
Some of the bst steaks in Geelong, well basted, well seasoned, well (med-rare) cooked cuts of meat. Sauces are a must. Decor is well suited to a steakhouse. Would visit again.
Justine
Steak was cooked exactly as we had ordered. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back next time we want great service and great steak.
Taste
Have been meaning to eat here for seriously years. Went last night spare of the moment. The steak was good but not amazing like I've been told. For $34 you only get a side of chips with your steak, wheres the greens?? Ive had better steaks at dingy pubs for half the price. The green peppercorn sauce was to die for, was the highlight of the meal, sad much?
De
Food: 4.5
Service: 3
Most juicy steak I have ever eaten. Every bite was to die for and the BBQ glaze added just the right amount of tangy/sweetness! Not forgetting chips, the black pepper sauce and paired with red wine(recommended by the lovely waitress). A match made in food heaven.
The service offered by the waitress(lady) was good but I felt the manager's (man) attitude and energy could be better (maybe he wasn't having a good day).
Ms.rhino
I love a good steak and these guys definetly won't disappoint. I have been to a number of Squires loft restaurants around melbourne. I spend a lot of time down the coast and was happy to find out that they opened up this steakhouse in the quaint town of Drysdale. Nice atmosphere, good service, family freindly restaurant and great food!
Foodiefan
Long time family favourite. Parkers is back to its best. We felt last few occasions it had slipped. Our steaks were perfect, ribs falling off the bone & what can you say about those onion rings.....lip smacking good !!! Yes its expensive but superior quality. I'm glad they are back to what they do best.
Sally Steele
Exceptional steaks and service. Cooked to perfection and I will be back. Loved the ribs and Caesar salad . casual and a lot of fun. Need a hearty appetite
SandvichNomNomNom
Juicy. Tender. Lean. Succulent. Mmm!

Had the Eye Fillet with a side of chips, and the BBQ sauce. Pretty sure I've covered the steak itself. For the chips, one word; "excellent". My other half had a baked potato, and I'm honestly not sure which one I would choose next time, since they were both amazing. BBQ with rich and smokey, but without being insanely overpowering.

Downsides: Hurts the wallet, but that's the case any time you want steak. It always seems to take a long time of the food to come, and given the quantity of the food, I wouldn't go on a completely empty stomach.
Lisa Wang
Authentic steak, very tender, juicy, yummy with charcoal aroma. Great experience, although had to wait for a while, it was worth the waiting. Definitely will go back if there's any chance.
Knerkle
Have eaten here several times with both Family and Friends.
Always a wonderful meal, perfectly cooked steaks and a good wine list to go with them!

Disappointed : (. Having heard a few great reviews of this place,.. we booked a table for 4 on Fri 15 may. Spent 20 mins trying to find a carpark even remotely nearby. Had a scotch fillet (med rare) which was choc full of grissle and so chewy it was barely edible. Was a little embarrassed I couldn't cut through my steak. Great blue cheese sauce. Side of vegies a bit light on vegies. Average drinks list, ... only one cider option. Nearly $400 lighter at the end of the night. Not comfortable recommending this place.

Those amazing Flavours. I just love the flavours

Put a damper on my Valentines day!. My boyfriend and I not only walked away $260 poorer but also frustrated and appalled at the service we received. Having worked in kitchens and the hospitality industry myself for many years we generally hold a bit more of an understanding to a very busy restaurant on a night of a set menu event..but this time on saturday night I had none what so ever. It started with the highly offensive offer of a small piece of bread and butter and a glass of water when I questioned the waiter about the where abouts of our entrees after one hour and 15 minutes. That was only a small part of the disappointing service we received, no discount or apology was given upon leaving the restaurant. Luckily the food was delicious but stingy on the serves with the shared entree and dessert especially for a male.
Overall, I will never go back to Parkers.
Electricalandmaintenance
Overpriced and underwhelmed. Excessive cost, poor service. Mismanaged and extremely disappointing.
Kathybamert
Extremely disappointed. Terrible service. Rude waitress. Extremely disappointed I booked a table for 22 people for a special occasion and they advised that they would have to have two tables which I understand. But when we arrived we had two tables one for 16 and one for 6 in completely different areas of the restaurant. The waitress/manager was really rude when we asked if we could have them seated nearer to each other. Was not friendly or accommodating. So we sat down as we didn't have a choice. She then said extremely rudely "you have 5 minutes to order otherwise we will have to cut you off as you will hold up the kitchen". Excuse me??? We got up and left. We weren't going to spend the over $2,500 we had planned to, on a restaurant that didn't want it. Your loss Parkers. None if us will never be returning either. Shame considering most of us are business owners in Geelong.
Geelongplumber
Terrible.. Booked a large group of 22 people three weeks prior. When we arrived they had the group split on two tables on opposite side of restaurant.
Staff were not helpful and ended in our entire group leaving.
Poor customer service, would not recommend.
Yumb
Big expectations, little delivered.. Made a booking in advance and on arrival staff hadn't even set a table for two up and it was not even half-full. The complimentary bread looked like it had been the offcuts from the chefs afternoon snack. Asked for sauce (at $4.50 pffft) waiter said sure thing and never saw him again , no sign of the sauce either. For somewhere with such great reviews they are lacking their consistency and something they might think about working on, must have booked on the wrong night.
Razz
Just Yum! Best steaks and good service
Jemma Helm
The steak was certainly amazing, very nice and tender, however I would only recommend going on special occasions or when price isn't an issue as it was quite expensive for what you get. Staff were friendly and attentive.
GregL
Nearly great. Wine list seems a bit spendy, until you realise the little number by each wine is the vintage. Go on, admit that the last time you drank a 2006 wine was 2008. Not here. So for the same price as you'd usually pay for a recent Pepperjack, you get an 8 year old Clare Cab Sav. Nice.

I had the Angus eye fillet, the most expensive alternative. It was a nice piece of meat, cooked properly. It had little black bits on the outside from the BBQ plate, it looked terrific, tasted fine, and was as tender as it needed to be.

My wife had the ribs, they were pretty good.

Service was attentive and accurate and pleasant.

It's a nice place to sit, not too noisy even though it was 80% full on a Tuesday evening (amazing for Geelong).

But

(You knew there was a but)

The mountain of chips were generic frozen chips, almost overcooked and rather oily. Definitely not appropriate for a fifty buck main. We had the grilled vegetable side, it tasted a good deal blander than it looked.

So sort the veggies out, they're easy, then it would be great.

Perfect steak once again. Well done Parker's :)

Melt in your mouth steak with all the trimmings

Rib eye on bone, jacket spud, onions, garlic sauce and a ripper of a bottle of red. Always impresses, never fails. Keep it up!

Went here one night with my girlfriend as we are both really into our steaks. Was pretty impressed with the look but the service really let it down.
The steak were nice but nothing outstanding but what really killed it for us was no cracked pepper on the table, only powdered. For the price really expected hand cut potato ships not frozen and gravy made from scratch not powder for $5 a serve! Has MASSIVE potential just needs to iron out a few tweaks
Nicole
I was excited to eat here because I love my steaks and had heard some good recommendations of this place. However, I must have come on an off night for the staff as I found the service to be lacking and the food definitely not to the standard I expected from a steakhouse. I don't think I will be returning as there is another steakhouse not too far away that I am very impressed with.

Yummo. A little pricey but worth for something so tasty. steak melts in your mouth, sauces are full of flavour. just. yum.

Not good. Very disappointing meal I'm sorry to say. Meat ok but salads and sides very poor. It just felt and tasted like a chain steakhouse. I'm amazed at the good reviews this place gets.

My partner and I ate dinner at Parker's yesterday! I must say the entree mushrooms with feta and Garlic herb butter were good! We both had the porterhouse steak with baked potato for mains, and two side steak sauces with a Greek salad to share! Very good and tasty! The standout was the "baste" dressing they use on their steaks!! Absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be back soon! :)

What an absolutely magnificent place to dine in Geelong! Hidden away down the back streets we were welcomed by the most delightful staff. Our waitress was so lovely and helpful. The food, the service, the attention to detail (and our 6 year old daughter) was faultless! I couldn't reccomend this more highly - we will definitely be back! The mushroom entree, perfect steaks and chocolate pudding was spectacular!

A Steak-lover's Geelong Mecca. Went here on a Saturday night with no booking, and although it was our own fault that we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, the waitress was very apologetic about it and got us drinks straight away. I ordered a Scotch fillet with chips and a side of crispy onions, whilst my girlfriend ordered the grilled veggies after seeing them being cooked whilst waiting. The steak was among one of the best I've ever had, with a slightly char-grilled taste thanks to the house baste. Most of the grilled veggies were delicious, however the large piece of pumpkin was a little bland. Not that it really matters, this is a steak restaurant, right? The side of onions was great as well; they were crispy and delicious, and there was plenty in the bowl for us to share. People say this place is expensive, but I've been to pubs that charge more for a Scotch fillet of subpar quality that also don't even come close to achieving the same atmosphere as Parkers. Even given the price, we were both absolutely full and still spent less than $80 including drinks, although I do suppose that it could approach $100 easily with two steaks and some wine. For a nice night out in Geelong or just to satisfy that urge for a delicious steak, you can't go past Parkers

I love steak. The best steak ever.

Very average at best!. We ate on a Friday night , we ordered steak and ribs , the steak was ok , but just ok , and the pepper sauce was ok but also just ok. The ribs were tasty but a little dry and the sides were good. The desert was average at best , it read very well on the menu but it was basically a store bought tart with slices of Banana and bottled whooped cream dusted with chocolate powder.

The entire night set us back about $100.00 , the service was ok although I fear the staff aren't trained and we had a few part timers I would say.

Also didn't help they sat a drunken couple of blokes and their wives and kids next to us who were incredibly loud and obnoxious. The waiter looked at me and lifted his eyes as if to say these people are drunk and rude..... my question to you is why serve them then?

In short , about a 5/10 , tries to be upmarket but basically you could cook it yourself at home for about 20% of the cost.

Great for a special night out. I went here for a date night with my boyfriend and it was very special. Yes it is pricey - but it is to be expected in Geelong. The steaks we had (the wagyu) were excellent. Perfectly cooked and fabulous quality. I liked the simplicity of the meal, the steak and chips. Its not an every day place to go because of the price but I would definitely go back for another special occasion.

Poor, $40 plus for mid range steak 500g that is about $20 a kilo at the butcher and $12 for a salad! A pub steak beats this place buy a country mile!

Great!. The steak is amazing!

It's reli bad to service and rude to me because I waited 5 minutes in the reception and then no waitress to serve. I think I will never come again.

A Smokey Carnivores Cave. We stumbled accross this place after pre dins drinks at The Dive Bar and a Karaoke hit at Beav's Bar in Little Malop St..Ravenous and high spirited we sat at table for 8.We were quite near near the open flame BBQ and watched the experts seal and sizzle the steaks.Waited a bit too long for 8 delicious steaks done anyway you like 'em.Pepper sauce was a highlight-enough for two.Good wine list and service and price reflects quality of tucker.Unfortunately our experience was marred by the smokey smell in the air.Maybe their extractor needs servicing?

One of the best steakhouses I've been to. Food is perfect, you can even buy the baste to take home. Excellent wine selection and a Parkers ale as well. Always satisfied at Parkers

By far the best steakhouse in geelong. Steaks were cooked to our liking, sizes were right and the side dishes were very big. To top it off service was great, and food didn't take too long after we ordered. If people want a good steak, you can't go past this place 10/10.

Have been numerous times and has yet to dissapoint. it's the go-to venue for any special occasion. our steaks are always cooked close to perfection all across the table... I have tried all of the sauces and they're all as delicious as the next, but you can't go past the mushroom sauce - perfection! getting the prawn entree to go with my steak was a genius idea ill continue to do. desserts are tasty and correctly portioned so you don't feel like you'll burst a button if you finish.. overall I'd say this is the place to go of any in Geelong, service is attentive and all waiters are polite and cheerful.. and as a chef seeing how they work with the open kitchen is always a nice touch! 10/10

Ordered a 500g T-bone steak to be served a off steak which the waiter agreed and chef. Still paid for entrees and was called a week later to offer a voucher which has been 2 weeks coming. Used to be good but very poor quality now. Smell the meat before you eat.
Luke Hanneysee.

Geelong's best. These guys have got it right, I am yet to eat a better steak anywhere, including Rockpool. Price is not everything, people will pay the money, because this is actually value for money, sauces are amazing and the chips WOW never had a bad meal, get a annoyed when I cannot get a booking !

Love the steaks, love the wine, love the sauces, love the service. I'm a Parkers fanboy. I love the steak, all the sauces are superb. I have a vegan family member and she was really happy with the vegetarian option. At a steak house I think that's awesome. Sticky date pudding is epic. Entree for two, epic, Grilled mushrooms, sooo goood. I've never been disappointed. I wish it was cheaper, but it's a great treat once in a while. Check it out!

Had heard a lot about this place and wanted to go see for myself as a night out with my partner, had the ribs and baked mushroom for entree, mushrooms weren't cooked and the ribs were cold, had ordered entree, mains by 7.30, by 8.45 we still had no received them, wasn't a busy night was only Wednesday. A couple who came in after us and ordered after us had received there meals well before us! Won't be coming back here again that's for sure!
Live To Eat Don't Eat To Live
Came in for dinner on Friday night. Three of us started with the share platter and the skewered prawns. The ribs on the share platter melted off of the bone and tasted delicious as was the chicken kebab. Sausage was good but not great. The dipping sauces let the plate down a lil, tasting like they were straight from the jar and not really suiting the meats. Prawn skewer was a lil over cooked but otherwise ok. My friends rumps were cooked beautifully and they both enjoyed them. My porterhouse was a touch under which I didn't mind however I felt that a better quality piece of meat could of been used seeing as they expect you to pay a higher price. The meat was at times chewy and lacked marbling but otherwise was thoroughly enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the flavour of the baste. Overall though we enjoyed the experience

Good food, but poor service. Shirty staff, a long wait 1h 30 for starters, no apologies. Told to go elsewhere if you don't like waiting.

A favourite!. By far the best steak I've had in Geelong. Cooked to perfection each time I've been. If you go, try the pork belly; they manage to get the crackling on the top and the 'melt in your mouth' meat underneath.

The sauces are rich and very tasty, a great accompaniment.

Service was friendly and attentive.

Amazing steak, sides, place and service. I was never a steak girl until I came here and I an addicted. Blue cheese sauce is impossible to pass up, even the bread before the meal is great . And the service it always great! Me and my family can not get enough!

Had dinner there last night.
Expensive place but best steak and ribs I have ever had.
One downer is that we did have to wait for almost an hour and a half for our mains which was a shame but the food is great. Don't go there expecting cheap feeds though, as you have to pay extra for side salads, sauces etc.

There are many so called steak house around and unfortunately the dishes are not much better than my local pub. However Parker's Steakhouse is definitely not one of them.
We started off with a halloumi cheese which, I must say, could be better. However the main blew me away! We had pork ribs, eye on bone, pork belly and Angus eye fillet. Each and everyone is cooked perfectly with beautiful sauce. The service is also nice and friendly.
Will definitely be back for more.

One word to sum it up... Amazing. Its a great steakhouse which i cant help going back to. Yes its a pricey meal but i havent been dissapointed this far. Steak cooked to perfectiion. Great customer service. And a nice atmosphere. Will see you again soon.

The Greatest steak of All. Not only Geelong has the Greatest footy team of all, it has the Greatest steak of all. I am a massive fan of steak and Parkers doesn't disappoint. Like every steakhouse you have a choice of sauces, the funny thing is, this steak is so flavorsome that it doesn't even require any. If you have a "10 things I want to do before I die" list, put "Going to Pakers" on it.

Parkers sets the bar for the best steak ever!!! Steakhouses in Melbourne don't measure up.. Quality service and food, just make sure you book in advance!

Been 10 times and will go back again. Over the years I have probably been back to Parkers at least 10 times (to date). And yes it is a little pricey com
Ared to the adverse Geelong restaurant but you pay for what you get.
The food is always good, service is nearly always great, have been a coup,e of times when I has been average, but not surprisingly when I go back that waiter or waitress is no longer employed there.

If I have to put down one negative point it would be that the smoke inside can get a little annoying. Unfortunately there is not a real lot they can do about that, they do have a huge exhaust fan over the grills and they do also open the doors to let the smoke out, but if I have to pick a fault then is would be it.

In terms of the food, the steaks are great, probably wouldn't worry about sauce have it alone as they are good cuts. The pork ribs are amazing, I'm not really a rib fan, a friend ordered it once and I tried hers and since then I get them nearly every time. They literally fall off the bone. They give you a some wet wipes, but you don't need them, you can eat it with a knife and folk as it just falls off as you touch it, they are amazing!

I will definitely be going back again in the future.

O.K.. This place has to be one of the more overrated in G-Town. The food is overpriced, the service is slow, and it wasn't that great a dining experience for me. They will cook a steak perfectly, and they do use quality cuts of meat, but they charge for it. Also lost a few points for their fairly pathetic "oh we're closing" plea to drum up some business, and then miraculously decided to remain open, what a relief I can still get an overpriced steak and slow service...

Good steak , good service , very good atmosphere , a little bit pricey

Best steakhouse I've been to! If your a big on your steak this is a must. Meals are a tad pricey but worth every cent. I'm originally from Geelong and ate there regularly, I now live in Melbourne and make the trip down occasionally making sure my partner and I go to Parker's . Cannot find a steakhouse that compares in Melbourne.

Great steaks. A highlight in Geelong's food scene.

Went for a friends birthday! best steak ever! I'm not a steak eater usually, but it was amazing! the garlic gravy was to die for! definelty going back again!

Be hungry!. Great spot when your carnivore side is coming out. The steaks are all beautiful cuts and cooked to perfection, the sauces are almost a dish on their own, and a simple choice of chips or potato. I really enjoyed the basic layout of the menu and the simple choices....... one of Geelong's gems

Best steak ever! Compare to a lot of over rated Melbourne steakhouse, this is the one you won't regret. Good service, great steak cooked to perfection, nice selection of wine list and the price is quite reasonable.
Yvette
This is the best restaurant ever!! Love it love it!

Great Meat. Fantastic meats cooked to perfection.

Skip the sauces. Apart from being expensive they are heavy and why spoil the natural flavour?

Enterance reminds one of some of the laneways in Melbourne.

Atmosphere is not overly exciting but the building has some interest.

If you like a good steak this is the best to be found in Geelong.
