The best butter chicken and beef korma I've ever had. The flavours were very unique compared to other versions of these dishes I've had while still being familiar but with the intensity dialed up. They have set the bar for future expectations. The service was exceptional, friendly, and very accommodating for our three year old daughter. Can't wait to go back! Extremely satisfied.

Found my local, after 11 years, home from home! Amazing food, even the coffee was good, unknown in an Indian restaurant, triple ice cream after a hot curry with roasted tandoori chillies in the oven, WOW what a chief, no need to go back to the uk !!! What an amazing manger she is !!!!!!

My husband and I have been here quite a few times, and we absolutely love it. Best Indian food we have found in Geelong. We've brought our family and friends here a few times as well, and it's now their favourite as well. The food is great, service is lovely and kind, portions are wonderful, pricing is great for what you get, and it's usually not crazy busy so we can hear each other speak. Which is always nice when going out! Will definitely continue to have our family dinners here, as well as date nights. I'm already excited to go back!
Ordered some Lamb Biryani and Butter Chicken! The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The food was great, really enjoyed our time here.
I have dined at Shiraaz regularly for more than two years. It consistently serves excellent quality dishes, with friendly & courteous service. It isn't the cheapest in town, but I keep coming back because it's reliably good! Portion sizes are usually on the generous side, and the meals taste like they have been made from scratch (unlike many lazy Indian restaurants which essentially use pre-made sauces like Patak's as a base for their dishes!).
Food great. Service is a bit of a struggle. Had to ask for a drinks list ,then had to remind them to get the beer and then and for some lemon in a Corona. Not a deal breaker but you would think the simple add ons would be good for them also
What have i been missing all this time??? I chose not to stray from my normal place for so long however after eating here i cant go anywhere else. Chicken Tikka as entrėe is spot on thanks to good pieces of chicken. As a main i chose Kadahi Chicken which was very nice with pieces of tasty capsicum and onion throughout. Garlic Naan is well done and not overpowering. Portion sizes are great. The staff are very friendly and helpful however i would say they could use at least 1 extra staff member. The lady is just about run off her feet attending to everyone and looking after the front counter. Cant wait for our next visit!!!
I had booked accommodation in the central area of Geelong. What I didn't realise before this was that most of the cafes and restaurants seem to be in West Geelong and I was too lazy to drive. After a walk to Eastern beach and along the harbour side, I had two options for dinner. One was Jack & Jill whose mini-course mains sound great but unfortunately they were fully booked this Valentine's Day. My fallback option was There There however I didn't realise until going in that they stopped serving meal food and are now a bar with snacks only (albeit decent sounding ones like wings, bao and sliders).
I have now been to Shiraaz for dinner twice. Both times the food has been wonderful. Good size portions, tasty curries, even good kulfi which is hard to find, when you have Indian inlaws. The waitress is attentive, and friendly. Would recommend the Queen banquet, reasonably priced, gives you a taste of a bit of everything.
Came here last night for dinner. Got the vegetable korma and I swear I have this dish everywhere and it is always different. I was expecting something else, nonetheless it was still nice and the garlic naan was incredible. I literally scoffed it down it was that delicious. The service was good and the BYO factor makes the difference. Only didn't 5 star it because there were children that were screaming the entire time at another table. Not the restaurants fault but it did ruin the experience for me in that regard. Would come back and would hopefully be 5 stars.
KevinBacon&Eggs was keen on some Indian on a Saturday night and he found himself at Shiraaz. This place is good but not great. Ordered all the Indian usuals your rogan Josh's, butter chickens, lamb kormas. All pretty good but not special. Feel like you know what your going to get with this place. Solid meal without being impressive. Defiantly ate enough to walk out in a bit of a food "korma".... 3.5 out of 5 Bomb Bae's from Kevin
Absolutely fantastic food and amazing service, we had been here a few times then my wife and I had our wedding reception here, we were their first and our family and friends all loved it too, the service and everything they did for us in the way of setting up and music was fantastic, can't thank them enough, our favorite was the lamb it just melted in our mouths and fell off the bone yummy
All you could ask for in an Indian restaurant! Tasty food. Good portion sizes. Short walk from Village Cinema. Very pleasing vegetarian options. Friendly staff.
Last night was great. My wife and I had a meal here last night after a movie. Had the mixed Shiraaz Grill first- spot on, thought the meat was perfect (make sure you have the onion and capsicum underneath was very tasty. 2 mains, rice and naan was perfect- wine and beer well priced. Quick and classy don't always go along side each but here they do. Great staff.

I love Indian food. I have eaten at hundreds of different Indian restaurants around Australia. This is by far the best. They seem to only use the absolute best cuts of meat - never any chewy gristle or clumps of fat to be found. I almost always order something different and am blown away every time, but my favourite is their Madras. I get take-away from here regularly and it is ALWAYS amazing. On the few occasions I've dined in, it has also been amazing. Amazing. Seriously. Why are you still reading this? Order! Now!
I have eaten all over Australia in Indian restaurants, am Indian born and I can tell you this was the best food in Victoria if not Australia. Well furnished, good ambience, excellent service and value for money. When eating Indian in Geelong this is your first choice!
Yum!. We were very happy with our first experience at Shiraaz. We started with Seekh Kebab, which was full of flavour and very spicy. Followed by their delicious spinach lamb and shiraaz kofta, it was the best curry we've eaten. Massive flavour, tender meat and a good mix of texture and seasoning. Unfortunately the the cucumber salad was a let down, consisting of mainly roughly chopped onion, very little cucumber and not much else, we sent it back and they gladly removed it from our bill. But to perfectly complement our curries, the garlic naan which he did forget but didn't charge us for, was fresh and crispy. Over all, a very satisfying eating experience! We'll certainly go back soon.

Having previously lived in England I grew to adore Indian food but I’m always concerned about how greasy and poor the ingredients can be when you visit your local takeaway. Having eaten at Shiraaz previously for the Golden Plate Awards I have fond memories as the dishes are light, full of flavour and the quality of the ingredients is consistently high.
When dining in the evening candlelit tables are presented with crisp white linen and sparkling glassware. Indian fine dining? Yup, but without the stuffiness, instead you’re treated to warm and attentive hospitality that makes your dining experience extra special.
I tend to think about food 24/7 and I was peckish on the night I recently visited Shiraaz and I was impressed by the complimentary pappadams and dips that were provided in lieu of bread which was fitting. The two dipping sauces that came with the pappadams were delicious, the mint yoghurt was utterly gorgeous and saved me from my ravenous state.

A cut above your typical Indian restaurant. Great presentation with dishes coming out in small brass dishes. Loved the butter chicken and pumpkin. Garlic nan bread a must too.
Amazing restaurant. Do not bother trying any of the half a dozen Indian restaurants in Geelong. Shiraaz is beautifully decorated with great ambience and lighting and most importantly great food! My boyfriend and I tried Shiraaz after becoming exasperated with the pathetic service and sub-par food at other Indian restaurants in Geelong. We have not gone to another Indian restaurant since. Amazing butter chicken with proper chicken breast and the other meals I have tried have been fantastic too.

Rewarding experience. For the last few years I have been meaning to eat here but never got around to it. Last weekend I finally made it, and it won't be long before I am back.
The decor was lovely, a significant step up in class from the other Indian restaurants in town. We arrived early so dropped our wine off and went across the road for a cocktail while the staff cleaned the table. On our return we were offered a more private table up the back, which was great because I prefer sitting at a booth.
Service all through the night was attentive but not intrusive, just the way it should be. We ordered the banquet and I could not have been more satisfied. The entrees were served promptly and were delicious, the chicken tikka a highlight. The selection of five curries and two lamb cutlets was far more than two people can be expected to eat. The fish curry was cooked to perfection, the moist chunks of fish fillet were the first of all the dishes to be finished. The other dishes were equally impressive, strong and balanced with good servings of meat throughout.
After finally eating here I can assure you this is by far the best indian in Geelong. While Kahn's may be more popular, if you don't want your butter chicken so sweet it causes tooth decay, you should give Shiraaz a try...you won't be disappointed.
