Greatest night at frankie. Best meal I've eaten without doubt. Interior is immaculate. Cocktails were fantastic. Service impeccable. Check this place out - totally worth the visit!
Incredible Asian food. Never rated muscles but the thai red curry muscle dish has changed my mind. Incredible flavours with fresh muscles! Great wine list and the staff were perfectly attentive. Can't wait to visit again.
Went to Frankie tonight, food was spot on. Being a vegetarian I find it hard to choose meals from a menu when I eat out. Frankie had a lot to offer with so many vegetarian options. So satisfying and delicious. Couldn't recommend it enough!
I've been to Frankie a couple of times now and absolutely loved it. Food is absolutely amazing and the venue is gorgeous. I went last night and there was only one waiter on and it must have been busier than anticipated but he did an amazing job, and he said he had only been there for a few days. I don't know his name but he was great and so friendly. You just don't see that kind of service everywhere. I was there with a few friends and we all had a fantastic time.
P.s your calamari is the best calamari in the world. I could eat it for the rest of my life.
Best: wagyu beef betel leaf - could eat this all night.
Liked: peking duck pancakes, crispy prawn and chicken spring rolls
Meh: home made dim sims - would be better with chilli oil rather than kecap manis.
Drink selection was great, loved south east side cocktail. Venue is gorgeous. Would love to see more art on the walls. Will be back.
Let me start by saying that this restaurant is beautiful. Exterior - great, interior - even better. Very pretty, amazing for pictures! Food-wise, I really enjoyed the dishes, which are mainly Asian fusion.
For starters, the Crispy Calamari is great, perfectly cooked so very easy to chew and flavours are great as well. The Korean Style Crispy Chicken Ribs was good, it sort of has a sour flavour to it but nice.
For mains, the Seafood Pad Cha was also really good as everything was fresh. We also had the Lamb Curry and the Yakitory Don, which were quite nice, however the Pad Kra Pao was too sweet for me. I would think that it needs to be spicier in order to balance out the sweetness for the sweet soy sauce.
Overall, great place to chill and grab something to eat/drink. Don’t forget to take pictures here, as again... very beautiful place!
Steamed vegetable dumplings were moist and came with a delicious dipping sauce. Glazed duck bao were soft and scrumptious. Lovely lunch with excellent service
Went to Frankie last night for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday with two of our best friends, and we were so happy with every part of the experience! We ordered quite a few different things to all share, and most of the dishes in the small section of the menu come with three but our beautiful server (Leslie) offered to add an extra so we could all try everything. She was so attentive and lovely, and was constantly refilling water and checking in to see if we had any questions or needed anything. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails! Overall, such a great place. We already can’t wait to go back!
Took my family out for dinner on Easter Saturday. Everyone was really happy with their meals. Delicious food and friendly service. They have pretty good cocktails too!
Popped in for a quick work lunch on a Friday. Only one girl on the floor but she did so well considering they were busy. We ordered the $20 Bento Box and it was lovely and tasty. Finally someone has done something good with this space. Gorgeous fit out, good music and a really nice feel. It’s so bright and a nice place to enjoy a yummy feed. Will be back!
Frankie was fantastic, in particular the service was friendly and nothing was too much of a problem for them. All of our food was delicious and we were able to come in at 8pm and they still served us. My partner usually hates tofu but he couldn’t get enough of the tofu in his pad Thai. The betel leaf was also to die for. Will definitely return!
Was here late Nov last year after visiting the Geelong art gallery for the Archibald exhibition.
I had chilli garlic prawn salad which was really good - prawns could have been fresher but flavour was tasty. A group of 7 of us - service was a tad slow - understandable as it was peak lunch hour. Looked like a heritage building with high ceiling & quirky decor (in the inner room - front). Local area sparkling wine was good.
Me and my partner went to Frankie probably a year ago. We loved the food, the decor, the light in the room, the vibe and the cocktails. We also loved that I didn’t cost us as much as we thought it was going to be as the food was just another level.
As we loved it so much we decided to celebrate our engagement there. Communication was easy, everything went smoothly, the place was sparkling clean, the food was extremely good, the staff were there early to help us with anything. Our guests wouldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the place was and how good the cocktails and food were. Thanks to friendly staff at Frankie for making our engagement party one of the best days of our lives so far.
Great food, great decor, great music, really friendly and attentive staff.
Everything was fresh and full of flavour. Will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to anybody, including people with dietary preferences. The back of the menu made it really easy by listing menu items that met specific dietary requirements.
Vegetarians, I would highly recommend the Crispy Eggplant Bao with it's nice mix of textures and the Mumbai Street Pops which were little bombs of flavour encapsulated in crispy batter that you can dip in 2 different flavoursome sauces. The Korean Friend Cauliflower was nice and crunchy with a zesty glaze. The Stir Friend Asian Greens were really fresh and was a nice side to accompany the rest of the food.
I'm sure the rest of the food on the menu are just as amazing.
The food here is amazing, staff very helpful, there are some gluten free items on the menu and some may be substituted to be gluten free. It lost 1 star for me for the lack of gluten free desserts. There is a panna cotta but it comes with the dessert platter with cheesecake and dumpling, Plus, the cocktails are horrifically expensive which come in a champagne glass from the 1940’s, I like my good old fashion cocktails.
Our new favourite restaurant in Geelong. Great menu options and an amazing cocktail menu! Great to see the smiles on the faces of the staff too!
My girls took me here for my hens night and we ordered wayyyy too much food and cocktails.
No regrets, all the food was outstandingly delicious as well as the cocktails.
The building is also absolutely stunning; extraordinarily high ceilings, minimalist decor paying respect to the original building and some outstanding murals painted on the walls.
All the floor staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Great recommendation.
Would love to return again if I’m in the area.
Great place and friendly service! Loved the lychee mocktail, wish the crispy tofu bao was still on the menu! Would love to see more vegan options in general too! A non alcoholic drinks menu would be nice as well haha
