Zigfrids was the perfect venue for our wedding on Saturday. They were always accommodating and provided amazing service. The food was to die for and we've had raving reviews from our guests. The staff were phenomenal and we cannot thank them enough for making our special day so wonderful.

Last year I celebrated my birthday with lunch at Brae (amazing). This year I spent it at Zigfrid's. Equally as amazing - without the $700 price tag!
The service is faultless, the décor inviting (especially on a cold rainy day) and the food will produce foodgasms! Be warned.
Don't leave without trying the Ricotta dumplings.

We were there on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The staff were great as was the food. Pork pies, dumplings and croquettes were the best.
Great for sharing food. The menu is changed regularly and is amazing! Great wind list and atmosphere, especially when you are able to sit outside. Service is brilliant. And I can walk there and walk home!!!

Booked for Valentine’s Day dinner and it was a real treat! King fish was a standout as was the slow cooked lamb and beetroot salad. All of the dishes were made with fresh ingredients, well presented and flavoursome. Enjoyed the atmosphere and live music sitting outside as the sun set. Service was good though waited a little while to place our order. Overall a really lovely experience and gorgeous setting! Can’t wait to go back and try more off the menu! PS the cheese board was also delicious with loads of crackers!!!
Melbourne quality restaurant. One of the few we have in Geelong. Food was amazing quality, staff were attentive and helpful, and service was ultra fast. We will definitely be back!

Been to zigfrids a few times , their food has been consistently good.The slow cooked lamb shoulder and lentil pilaf dish is one of their best dishes on the menu.They have some very different dishes on their menu like the brussel sprout fry dish which goes very well with the lamb dish.For dessert the parfait is a must have .Ambience is nice, not a fine dining place.
We booked ahead which was just as well. This restaurant is the quite the departure from what you would expect from culinary Geelong and wouldn't be out of place in Fitzroy or Prahran. The food has a slow food emphasis which gives it a much wider appeal and wouldn't be a 'No Go' for young families who wanted to experience something a little different. Overall zigfrids comes highly recommended at around $35 ph + drinks

We came over from Perth for a 40th birthday at zigfrids. Very impressed. We know the cost was not cheap, so if you want sausage rolls, go to coles checkout...... but the service, manager, his staff, food quality, amounts and wines were really impressive. Good location, nice setting, excellent venue if you want a slightly higher class venue with food to match for a memorable occasion then this is highly recommended
Great for a non traditional Easter Sunday dinner. The food all had great flavours with good level of seasoning. Great texture on the croquettes and haloumi entrées. Middle Eastern coleslaw had a good twist and went really well with the lamb shoulder which was nice and tender. Peanut butter parfait with chocolate ganache was a decadent finish to a wonderful meal. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
This is a fantastic spot! It has small, large, inside or out tables. Service great, the food was delicious. Tapas with larger choices. Very nice.
These guys have turned a corner and are on fire. New chef over the last 3-4 months and he's nailing it. Dishes are stunning, creative, full of flavour and well portioned. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, despite the hall-like structure. Staff are very good. All is great. Zigfrids is back and flying!
Just returned from dinner here and it was faultless! The Pork Belly was AMAZING, at first the steak looked a bit small but it was perfectly cooked and the perfect size. Didn't have room for dessert but what we saw other people eating looked delicious.
Fantastic food. Creative and really tasty. Everyone I have been there with has also raved about it. Have been twice now and would happily drop in more often, apart from the fact that I live in Melbourne.
Have eaten here a few times now and it's definitely my favorite place in Geelong. The quality of the locally sourced produce combined with a great chef make for interesting and delightful food. I appreciate the extensive wine list while still being able to buy a can of Melbourne. It gets the ✔️.

I was highly dubious of this place. It's on my way to the shops and we would walk past it every day as it was being turned from an industrial warehouse space to yet another hip restaurant cafe bar whatever ...
... Early reviews were typical for a new restaurant: teething problems with staff, changes to the menu, bad service...
... So I was very pleasantly surprised to enjoy my first Saturday lunch there recently. The service was warm and unpretentious, the food was interesting with a broad range of styles and flavours in a compact menu. Perhaps best of all, it was relatively inexpensive for a place that has all the rust and hardwood decor of somewhere much pricier.
Beautiful lunch - great share plates for entree. Scallops with bacon marmalade and Lamb ribs in Maple Syrup. Mains we had Soft shell crab in a Charcoal bun and the Seafood pie with Crispy Skinned Salmon. All amazing. Lovely setting with reasonable prices for wine and food. Highly recommend.
I went here with a fairly large group ,the service was good,all the meals were correct .unusual menu but yum .Everyone liked there food ,coffee was good .
I had soft shelled crap burger ... So good I can still taste it .

3 Cheers for Zigfrids!. We were lucky enough to choose Zigfrids Dining Hall for our daughter's wedding reception on Saturday night. In a word AMAZING!!!! The atmosphere was warm and homely and a great place to relax with friends. We were given leeway to bring in our own props and decorations to personalize the space to suit our theme but without such a great canvas to work with it wouldn't have ended up looking so fabulous. We applaud the staff for impeccable service and friendliness with a very special mention to LISA and MADELINE who were very professional and caring. The share plates of food were a brilliant idea as there were so many delicious dishes served up so the guests could choose what they wanted to eat and were spoilt for choice. We were absolutely blown away by how delicious all the food was! HUGE COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF!!!! From us and all of our guests. Many guests told us it was not only the best wedding food they had eaten but also the best food they had in any restaurant so for the Chef to serve 73 people consistently good food for horderves, entree, main and dessert was an absolute credit to him. I can not speak more highly of Zigfrids. The Owner should be very happy with his staff and himself for running such a great restaurant. For their very first wedding they all did a fantastic job! Big pats on the back to everyone involved. The Bride and Groom couldn't have been happier with how the whole night went. CONGRATULATIONS TEAM ZIGFRID! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Good. Not bad at all food but slow service.
Great food. I've been to this establishment 4 times now, and every time the food is spot on, service is generally good, my only criticism is the waitresses need educating on the menu. I personally think that zigfrids has some of the best food in Geelong! The barramundi is to die for. The flavours rich and delicate and keep you wanting more! We'll be back for sure.

Gem in Geelong. Dropped in for a late lunch and we were absolutely delighted by Zigfrids. Fabulous fitout, friendly waitress and a delicious limited lunch menu. Perfect spot for a drink and a spot of lunch.

This is a really funky venue but the service is fantastic and the food is a foodie paradise. I mean if you come out to dinner you want to eat the best produce available. We have been labelled by our friends as serious foodies and this food didn't disappoint. The steak was the 'best' we have had EVER and the pork belly we picked as free range saddleback - I mean for those of you who don't know you can't just buy that pig anywhere and it's a flavour paradise. We will be back - btw we couldn't help but suck the chicken wings clean they were also delish!!! This is long awaited foodie destination for Geelong

We had a beautiful Sunday lunch at Zigfrids. We went there after hearing rav reviews about the beautiful food. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully! The flavours were spot on and portions perfect. We had the beef and lamb ham sliders with sweet potato chips and aoli deeelis! It's wonderful to see such beauitiful food in Geelong

Duck !. One of my favorites for sure. Excellent service, great wine selection & the food was simply amazing. Loved everything but the duck breast with bread and butter pudding and Jerusalem artichoke puree... simply ridiculous!!
Enjoyable. My family and I went here to enjoy a nice family lunch. We went here when it first opened up and went again for a second time. I hoped the opening confusion that all restaurants experience was the main problem and it was. We had a great lunch the service was greatly improved and the food came out nice a quick.

Family breakfast. Attended breakie with my sister & brother in law whilst visiting Geelong for a wedding.
It was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy, the thick cut bacon was delicious and the coffee good. Will be going again next time we travel down

Lunch was a family affair. As part of a large party of 25 I was made to feel welcome and wanted. Astonishingly lovely food. Terrific service. Nothing too much trouble - not even heating a baby's meal.

What's with all these disappointed diners? the three of us had wonderful meals: i had scallops, then swordfish with a great butter full of flavor, a curious butter lettuce salad, at the end we shared the petit fours a rocky road with turkish delight and a peanut butter fudge. yes, i'm not happy they charge for bread but the seafoods specifically were super, the dishes were creative, ample, and delicious. i sampled also the duck, wow, and the mussels. we had a red that was from geelong pleased everyone at a very good price. good thing people don't pay much attention to reviews - the place was packed on a monday.
Great food for anyone !. The food here is stellar but the service does not match the quality of the food. Waiting staff has made errors on two separate visits. Will be back regardless because the food here is stellar.
We had dinner there the other night...the atmosphere was fantastic , great friendly service, food amazing loved the idea of sharing dishes which was explained perfectly by our waitress, we tried lots of dishes and sides, will definitely be back, may even be my new local !thank you Zigfrids !

Room for improvement. I give Zigfrids a thumbs up, because every time I have eaten there I have left feeling satisfied with my meal, portion size and the cost. However... My partner has been and not given the same feed back, I suspect it is because he has ordered 'mains' and been disappointed at the value for money. I do agree that paying $50 for steak, and getting just a small cut of steak, with no sides is a bit rude. It wouldn't take much to add a few greens? Myself however always order from the 'something small' and get a few things to share. I suggest this is a much better value for money option, and the selection of smaller dishes is great! I highly recommended the chicken wings and beef sliders. Oh and if you make it to desert, the ice cream sandwich with hot fudge sauce... To die for!
The staff however is where the problem starts for me... Greeted by one waitress, seated by another, left with no menu or water, another waiter comes and brings menu, asks for drink order, another waiter then asks us for drinks (which I just ordered from his co worker)... What I am getting at here, is the lack of personable staff... When you are paying decent money for food, I expect my waiter to stick with my table the whole night and to know where we are up to with drinks and food, top my water up without me having to ask... All of that said, I am a local and I will most certainly go back, because I am keen to see improvements and believe it will be a great dinning place once kinks are ironed out. Already planning my next trip for a sneaky chicken wing or 2!
Had a great lunch here on Sunday. Service fantastic and the food was exceptional. Pastrami sliders to start which were fresh and a great entree. The chicken wings that we shared at the table were a bowl of sticky goodness.
Steak was cooked perfectly. My only suggestion would be a sticky wine to go with your beautiful cheeses on offer.

Went to Zigfrids the first week, and yes things needed tweaking. This should be expected. I have been back twice now and the waiters, food, and service is bloody amazing!!!! Well done guys.
If you're one of the sooky complaints on here from the first few weeks of opening then I suggest you try again and perhaps talk to management. There was 15 of us tonight and man were we looked after,as well as the rest of the packed hall!!! Waiters constantly checking if we needed more drinks, if meals were ok, table cleared promptly!

Great food, cool place, awesome ribs. I had a fantastic meal last Thursday night with 7 friends, I really could not fault the food, it was all so good, being a large group we sampled most of the menu, which is extensive to say the least, and the menu was interesting, varied and vibrant.
The soft shell crab with Nam Jim dressing was the best I’ve ever had, kangaroo Carpaccio was another winner with king brown mushroom and pickled plums, chicken wings and amazing lamb ribs with maple syrup that I was dreaming of for days later...
I was hesitant to eat here with the bad reviews that I had read, however I didn’t have a choice as the night was organized by friends, But I’m glad I did, we had a fun night, loads of bottled beer to choose from and a relaxed funky atmosphere, the music was just right to enjoy and have a chat with everybody at the same time.
I can see what people are saying with regards to the bad service, it definitely needs some improvement, there was 1 particular wait staff that I felt regarded themselves to be above the customers, rather annoying.
We finished off with steaks, cooked perfectly on the char grill, my only criticism is that it would have been nice to have a simple salad with it, but saying that the side dishes were excellent.
Recommend the coconut panna cotta and the brownie sandwich for dessert.
Would definitely return just to eat the lamb ribs on the terrace with a few cold beers, this is definitely a good thing for Geelong .
The next night we went to Attica, voted in the top 50 best restaurants in the world, $700 for my wife and I, We left very disappointed, I really cannot understand why it is held in such high regard, but that’s another Story
AMAZING!!. I had an amazing experience here, went for dinner and had a lovely night. The waiters and waitresses seemed like they had a very sound knowledge of what they were serving and were attentive and lovely. Food was great! Different to anything else in Geelong and was reasonably priced to any other fine dinning restaurant I had diner at. 5 stars from me!!

Extensive food and beverage menu to suit all dietary needs/preferences. Deliciously balanced light plates or nice juicy pieces of meat to have all to yourself or to share-its all delicious. Chewy brownie ice cream sandwich was amazing. Great ambiance also, an exciting place to have in Geelong! Will definitely be going back!
This place is great for Geelong, menu very good & we will eat our way through it. Looking forward to next visit.
