Service was exceptional, so on top of everything. Very well priced. Ordered the share breakfast platter and couldn't even get through the whole thing! Highly recommend �
The lunch was delicious, the prices very reasonable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I ordered the calamari on the daily specials board. It was absolutely scrumptious. I had calamari last weekend at 360q at Queenscliff and I paid double the price and it had no salad or chips and the calamari was chewy. The calamari at The Village Door was so good and the salad was dressed perfectly and the chips were the best. I commend the chef at The Village Door Cafe - the meal was 5 star! I will be back soon....keep up the great work and friendly environment.

A fantastic little cafe with a warm atmosphere - we didn't realise until looking at our menus that the food was Croatian / Slovenian, but the waitress was lovely and very helpful in describing and recommending certain dishes to us. I had the Sarma (cabbage rolls in a delicious sauce with lashings of mashed potato). It was incredible - comfort food at its best! A great addition to the food offerings on Pako and wonderful to have something a little bit different.

I have been on a number of occasions and every experience was a 9/10. Food absolutely delicious and the staff very friendly. My last visit, I had the Plated Cevapi and this was a diners delight. I absolutely recommend the Village door.

I’ve been meaning to try here for quite a while, it’s fantastic, wish I hadn’t waited so long.
Eastern European classics done really well(along with more western menu options too). Definitely comfort food.
Portions are very generous, and ingredients are quality.
The cevapi burger is really good, usually something I’d just make at home, but this one is great. Seketa meats, red onion, ajvar, sour cream and added kapusta salad for $15. The size was huge, we shared this and a pita between two, and it was more than enough.

Such a wonderful cafe located along Pakington street amazing food that took me back to my trip to Macedonia and brang back memories of spending time at my aunts for Macedonian Easter and Christmas if you love European cuisine then this cafe is definitely worth checking out as they also do really good coffees and have excellent customer service
Today I had the pleasure of going to eat at this place and I was truly delighted, the food was very fresh, and presented in a provocative and beautiful way, good atmosphere and delicious coffee. Highly recommended!

First time diner, I have heard great reviews for this restaurant, mostly the breakfast menu . The breakfast of champions is the go to dish.sporting a full spread of breakfast favourites topped off with pancakes and your choice of toppings. Served as a grazing platter with more than enough for 2 . marry this with a hot barrister coffee or hot chocolate . A must if you love a hot cooked breakfast. It pays to book ahead
One of the most beautiful and atmospheric places down pako! Such friendly and quick service, not to mention some of the most delicious food! The platter boards are incredibly displayed and taste absolutely amazing. Definitely will be coming here again!
