Definitely my go-to brunch spot. I normally get 'The Grace' but decided on the brekky bowl this morning. It did not disappoint! Triangular hash browns are the winner
I often bring a Seeing Eye Dog in training. It was so cold today my pup was fidgety. When I asked if it was OK for us to sit inside, staff were so cooperative and chill with it! It is the law that Seeing Eye Dogs are allowed indoors with a coat on, but just the fact that I didn't even have to explain myself. It was a simple yes!
SEDA pup Rumer and I definitely appreciated the hospitality <3
Amazing place, took us in on short notice for our function and it was the best decision we made to go there after the other place canceled on us,
Thanks for the amazing night
Hi to whom is reading. I'm in a hospitality industry myself and this place I regularly dine at gives me smiles all the time from the food to the service and they except that they're not a big restaurant. To me they do their best at what they have going, soooo keep it up and keep them smiles/happy people rolling in. Thank you I love the place
Cheers and thank yourself for it!! Hard work has paid off😉
Easily one of the best places to eat in Geelong. Amazing food, amazing coffee, quick service, and very well priced. Bring back the pulled pork and chilli jam breakfast option permanently though pleeeeezzzz!
Enjoyed breakfast at Sticks & Grace. Loved the fact that they gave you the option of having only one egg, which was cooked exactly how I like my eggs. One fault was I asked for a very hot cappuccino but it came only warm.
Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.
The food tasted amazing & It was beautifully presented & the owners are very friendly! I would highly recommend going there! Could eat there everyday! 💙
My Daughters and l went in for lunch on the 15/03/17 and it was amazing. The service was fantastic and food was excellent. The staff we very friendly. A must do for all. We will definitely be going back
I had breakfast yesterday which was the cranberry granola with fresh berries & pana cotta omg it was delicious, fresh, sensation , great customer service. Be back soon to try the rest of the menu. "Keep up the great work"
My burrito bowl and long black were perfection. Thank you for providing me with so many creative vegan options!
Most amazing brunch at your lovely cafe with the husband this morning!! The pork benedict was so delicious! Friendly & quick service + great coffee :)
We were in Pakington st planning to go to a different restaurant for breakfast. The other place was full and noisy. We went to Sticks and Grace it was busy as well, there was a table for us, we were greeted with a smile, seated and we ordered. I had the grace special and my husband had the chilli eggs. We lived our meal with fresh orange juice and the coffee was amazing..we would not bother going elsewhere.
Oh my what an amazing breakfast we didn't have a booking and they fit us in ( on mother's Day) was quick service and everything was delish
Recommend 100%
Best eggs I've ever had in Geelong. Amazing menu, amazing staff, amazing cafe. Loved it!
Amazing food, service with a smile & super efficient & the coffee was so good I had to get one to go. Will definitely be back.
Yummy lunch of Smashed Avacado on toast. Great flavour and great value for money. It didn’t come with asparagus, as stated on the menu, but the broccoli substitution was just fine. Coffee was nice also. Pretty cold inside if you are sitting anywhere near the door, so bring a warm jacket!
We shared the lamb shoulder grain salad - it was scrumptious. Salt and lemon pepper calamari was crispy, flavoursome and there was plenty of it. Desserts from brunettis looked amazing but I was so full.
Love this place!!! Food, Coffee, Staff, Place!!! Allpress coffee are my favourite and everytime is made with perfection
Well done
The Raspberry and White choc muffin is so YUMMMM
Great breakfast, good coffee. Service was just OK, felt like they were trying to rush us out even though we had a booking. Would definitely recommend eating here.
I love this place! The coffee is delightful: artfully delivered, a great roast, with friendly service. Can recommend the topped up Long Mac.
The all day breakfast menu is a treat: the smashed avocados with goat's cheese feta, eggs, and beetroot mash was a thrill to the palate. Just the right amount of astringent to balance the avos and eggs.
There is a buzz in S&G - popular meeting place and a hive of stimulating community. Decor is almost hipster, but who wants that every time? Really loved the generous real estate on the tables for the computer and my (real) notebook. Loved this is a visiting work environment!
This area of Newtown had been much rejuvenated over recent years - having lived here some 35 years ago, and it was all pretty tired (though the Butcher which used to occupy the current pizza place was a favourite back then!). There is life, colour and laughter here now. Sticks & Grace are an important part of that picture.
Sticks and Grace Geelong has been in the game for a good innings, recently hitting a decade on Pakington Street Newtown. To last that long you have to be doing one or two things right. One of those things would have to be their generous all day breakfast. Some joints use big plates for effect but there’s no substance. In the case of Sticks and Grace Geelong, substance matters as much as presentation.
Consistency gets you everywhere ! Love the food and coffee ...................................................................................................
Had brekky here and it was delicious, would deff return. The menu has a great selection and the staff are nice too! Overall I am happy with my dining experience, we used the entertainment voucher which helped lower the cost but if we didn't have the voucher I prob would be commenting that it is a little on the expensive side. But having said that the food is good! Thumbs up from me!
Been here a few times over the years, all on weekend mornings. My local friend first brought me here. Since returned with a group of girlfriends for brunch. Most recently brought the husband before footy. Great coffee, never had a bad meal.
Been here a few times now and has consistently been a good experience. The vibe is good here and fits in with the trendiness of pako. Not that many tables here so better to avoid busy times.
Coffee is probably a bit below the standard set by surrounding venues like winters but still better then the majority of Geelong cafés.
The menu is super friendly and I have struggled to pick between options more then once.
The pricing is the real winner though and what gets me coming back to S&G
I have been here twice and both times were great. The food is nice and so is the drinks.
My first time was for afternoon tea with a English breakfast tea and a lemon slice, kids had milkshakes each. Kids loved their milkshakes an I like the fact they were in small glasses not huge ones.
Second time was for lunch, I had a breaky tortilla chips to share an kids wanted the pancakes.
Great service, great food and I did the kids pancakes and they were yum.
Highly recommend.
Delectable Eatery-busy and great food. Busy? Yes...but of course!! That is because people like the food and keep coming back. I know I have enjoyed breakfasts there on many occasions.
Delectable pancakes served with combinations of creamy yoghurt and homemade style compotes of various fruits..probably the best combo in Geelong for this particular offering. If you wish to enjoy Chai tea then this one has it covered also. Or if you need a hearty egg, bacon and various additions to that it is on offer and is better than most I have had in Geelong. A great stable eatery for breakfast and lunch.
I have never had bad service and staff have never been grumpy. In fact quite the opposite experience for me. They have bent over backwards to accommodate a large group and been helpful when it came to handling the bill and do take the entertainment vouchers with *Grace*.
WELL done to this business for being a mainstay within the Geelong area when it comes to eating out!
OMG. Got recommended to Sticks and grace, and was the best god dam breakfast iv ever had. Big meals, great price, awesome coffee and service was amazing. Absolutely blew my mind how efficient the place ran. Will be back ;-)
Lovely. Went for the first time today and will definitely be back. Good variety, great food and amazingly fast and friendly service.
Have been here in a while. Lots of new faces. Popped if for a quick bite this afternoon. Great coffee and even better food. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Keep up the good work.
Sunday morning breakfast. After reading other reviews was expecting the worst but it could not have been better. Service was great, happy to make changes to meals and food was super yummy!! Will be back!
Great service creative menu with awesome aspect with
Went there yesterday because the last time I went I got an awesome juice combination only to discover that they only do straight oj or bottled juice now. Then proceeded to order the bacon and eggs with extras which came out on a small plate and every time I tried to cut my toast with my blunt knife my plate would jump. Pako has to many options for this place to fail on minor details like this.
Best muffins in town. Great coffee, friendly staff, best raspberry and white choc muffins ever!
Sets the bar high!. From service with a smile, to great coffee, to food that's always full on flavour and surprisingly well-priced, Sticks and Grace is consistently very good and has been for a number of years. On freshness of ingredients and flavours it excels. Definitely the place to go on the Newtown end of Pako.
Good coffe, grate food was awesome have to try this place
A local icon. This is one of Geelong's better known and well respected cafes and it has a legion of loyal customers and locals. The recent cosmetic face-lift is contemporary and welcoming and the larger communal tables are a nice touch. The menu is creative, although the lamb burger we were served was a little under-done on this occasion. Our waitress appeared dis-interested and her service was ordinary. The coffee used is Allpress & it can be ok, depending on the barista. It used to be the only place to go for great coffee in the area, it just seems that the passion isn't flowing as freely as it used to be.
Good brekky awesome coffee. This place is flat out which is always a good sign.
Great food, great service and really good coffee (pretty sure it was Allpress). Will definately make this a regular occurence
Good value. Spending a bit of time down Geelong way at weekends so need to find some breakfast spots. Found this one on Urbanspoon (as you do) and it was really good. Coffee asked for strong and it was. went the bacon and eggs on sour dough for breakfast which was $14 but the vaue was in the extra where you could choose 2 extras for just and extra $2. I went the house made beans and grilled tomatoes and got a big serve of each.
Always fantastic coffee, service is friendly and always great, food offers strange combinations that work together surprisingly well. Every meal I have had here has been amazing. My favourite breakfast and lunch spot in Geelong.
Great place for brunch :-) very busy, but the service is good and the food is yum!
What a gem of a place. Sticks & Grace looked warm and inviting as we passed, and compelled us to enter. The staff were immediately attentive and welcoming. Innovative dishes made up the menu and we decided upon the soba noodle salad with prawn, and the ricotta and spinach gnocchi in walnut sauce. These were simply breath-taking - the soba noodle salad was a visual and flavour feast, and the gnocchi was worthy of top Italian restaurants in Melbourne. Good coffee capped off a remarkable experience.
