Review 63 Degrees - Geelong

Sonia
Impressive salmon I had! All flavour combined perfectly as each I could feel each ingredient and also happily combined all in one together! Definitely recommendable for food. Coffee wasn't my preferred flavour but it's just my preference, this could be good for others!

This place is lovely. We got the waffles, the blood orange tart, a salted caramel hot chocolate, and a normal hot chocolate. Everything was really nice, but unfortunately the waffles were burnt. Really enjoyed the tart and the drinks, and will come back here next time I'm in Geelong (hopefully the waffles aren't burnt again!)
Katie
Amazing little brunch/lunch spot, friendly staff, and OMG that food. It all looks amazing, there are heaps of options for allergies (gluten free, vegan etc) they taste as good as they look. The only trouble will be picking one dish.!!
Novi Di
Liked my vegan rice crackers and green smoothie very yum! Sad my friend's fruit toast was burnt :( she said taste was alright... If it wasn't burnt rip.
Lemon L
Lovely cafe with great menu. So many vegan and vegetarian options to choose from! I got the "sashimi" dish and although I don't think it quite tasted like sashimi, it was still delicious. It's also dog friendly so we could bring our dog with us 🥰

A cafe popular among locals, busy during the weekend I visited. Service was prompt and orders were delivered in reasonable time considering the good attendance. We found the lamb plate particularly noteworthy, and the toasted sandwiches were nice. The paella was tasty and satisfying with ample seafood although it resembled a risotto.

Busy cafe on busy street Love the coffee Love the food Love the way they plate that blood orange tart for sure ❤️ #bulgogi_n_rendang

Simon at 63 Degrees catered my wedding and the food was absolutely Devine. We couldn't fault it one little bit we went with the feasting style menu and it was perfect. All our guests couldn't believe the menu was gluten free and so delicious, I would get married again just to have him cater for us again. Highly highly recommend amazing food, outstanding service and great prices. Perfect night.

The look of the cafe Is quite cute. Initial service was good. They brought over menu, water and asked us for drinks order. After Looking at the menu I regretted sitting down. Nothing popped out at me. So we decided to have a look at the food on display. After they finally came back to take our order, we ordered the lamb wrap, pork belly roll and I also got the iced tea spritzer. We waited what felt like forever (at least 20 mins) for them to 'toast' our dishes. Finally it came out with a side salad of half rocket half coleslaw which did not compliment the dish or taste too good. I got into my lamb wrap which was ok... it was lacking a lot of flavour. I also tasted the pork belly roll ... it was quite awkward to eat as the belly was in huge blocks and the crackle was extremely chewy I ended up giving up on eating it. As for my iced tea. All I could taste was rose. I drank it all... to be polite. We were very disappointed as the food in Pako is usually quite amazing. We won't be going back.

Amazing food to say the least. Each dish is a work of art in presentation and tastes even better !! I haven't enjoyed a meal so much in a long time. The coffee is also great and the service excellent. I have a friend who lives in Geelong whom i visit and i will be requesting to go back again and again so i can try every dish !!!!!!

My partner and I just came out from one of the best cafe experiences we have ever had. We were served by Simon which was friendly and had excellent customer service. I had the rosti eggs benedict and it was incredible! Would recommend to anyone.

I don’t usually leave reviews and often eat at Geelong cafes. We waited an hour for our food and once the food arrived both of our orders were wrong. This has happened each time we have been to the Pakington street cafe. Definitely won’t be giving them another chance, very disappointing!!!

Lovely sunny table with lovely coffee and a perfect plate of eggs, mushrooms, tomato and toast. Very friendly staff; really nice place to be. Thank you :)
Nicky Levett
Fantastic venue with lovely staff, great service, amazing food, delicious wine, and impressive cheese and antipasto platter. Nothing was too much trouble and our engagement party was made stress free thanks to sally, Simon and crew!
Erica Louise
The salmon & lake salad is to die for! The revamp is amazing and so fresh. Well done ďż˝(please bring back the Revitalive juices. They are the best in Geelong).

Popped in for breakfast today with my wife, greeted by friendly staff who took our order immediately, I had close to the best breakfast I've ever had ... maple baked ham hock, perfectly poached egg, pickled onion and green beans with a delicious tumeric hollandaise sauce on sourdough. My wife had a spectacular avocado smash. Will definitely be back for more. The only downside was that we bought one of those amazing looking raw peppermint and choc slices for later on ... made the mistake of leaving it in the car while we continued shopping for the next few hours ... long story short unable to be consumed, oh well just another excuse to visit again.

Always a great place to head for a meal. Tasty food, and yummy drinks. Only issue is it can be quite busy at times (to the point you might not get a seat).
Shelly Delaney
Really loving this place right now. Great new menu & awesome coffee. Always being taken care of by the lovely Sarah ďż˝

We popped in yesterday for a caffeine free almond latte. So many other places roll there eyes when we ask for this. We are also on pretty strict food restrictions at the moment I have no doubt they would help as much as possible if I asked. The staff are fabulous love it here .
Carly Zubler
friendly, attentive staff, breakky came out quickly and maple ham hock burger was delicious. i never wanted my hash brown to end it was the best hash brown i've ever eaten. thankyou 63 degrees!

My boyfriend and I stumbled across 63degrees Geelong whilst road-tripping along the Great Ocean Road. We had braced ourselves for a lowering of food standards once we left Melbourne and it's plethora of great cafes. However 63 degrees totally surprised us with their extensive organic, free-range, gluten-free friendly menu. Everything sounded delicious and we had a really hard time deciding what to order. When our meals came they looked and tasted exquisite. The lamb and pomegranate salad in particular got glowing reviews from my boyfriend who said it was one of the best things he'd ever eaten. Overall we though the decor was fresh and comfortable, the service friendly and efficient and the food was nothing short of outstanding. We will be back next time we're in town, alternatively can you open an Auckland branch? X

Love this place for lunch and brekky. Awesome flavours and a great kids brekky. Very family friendly.

Food is to die for. service is great very friendly staff. Loved it loved it loved it !!!!!!

Fantastic place to take the family will have a quite intimate lunch or breakfast

We have a breakfast here this morning. Beautiful outdoor area. Food size is enough for big stomach. But not tasty at all. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms should be better with butter. But here you don’t wanna back again have another breakfast. BTW, the table cup and plates here are not clean.

Our visit was unfortunately overshadowed by the poor customer service. There was AMPLE staff but all seemed to be walking around not doing much, took 3-4 people to do one job. Got coffee order wrong (which happens) but made it a hassle to get it fixed. The girls seemed to be standing around gossiping/talking to each other rather than checking in on the customers. The food was beautiful but did not make up for the lack of service.
Ben Farrell Chalmers
63 USED to be amazing but the food, service and menu options have gone in a direction that is too far on the paleo/keto/FODMAP side of things that there aren't many great options anymore. Lots of options for people who like eggs but for those of us who don't, we would like more options than fruit toast. wouldn't hurry back.
Ribena
The food was delicious. I was very happy with the ambience, the service and the quality of the food. The specials was a nice touch too! A slightly lower than perfect rating because my friends who had the cookies and cream hot chocolate thought their drinks could have had a bit more chocolate, but overall, a great café to go to. 😍

Had typical meals for breakfast. Last two times have felt underwhelmed by the service.

Good:
Hash browns.
Coffee.

Bad:
Being moved tables.
Rude staff.
Poor bacon quality.
Princess Picky
Not satisfying, the food was made well but it was average. $5 extra for the bacon, hash brown and hollandaise sauce yet the serving was minimal. The hollandaise sauce was watery and inedible I have no idea what they put it in it. I left hungry and went straight for desert somewhere else.
Val
One of my favourite brunch spot in Geelong. Been here for several times and always happy to come back. The food is always in consistency served with fresh and tasty ingredients. Greeted by friendly staffs and it’s a nice place to chill in the sunny day.
Bollsies
Was looking for a warm place and relaxing environment to enjoy a good coffee, a delicious brunch and good conversation with my wife on this fresh winters morning. 63 Degrees was only able to deliver on the coffee, apart from that service was slow, the toast was rock hard and dry, greens were brown and ambiance was that of a busy train station, not to mention the staff allowing the cold air in by continually leaving the door open. Note to self, take away coffee only.
Liza Mantella
Such amazing service here every time, staff are very lovely. The area is lovely inside and out and food is delicious every time. Only down side is the menu is a bit pricey when you add your meal plus if you have a drink overall great place.

Tried this place when we passing by Geelong on tge way back to Melbourne from Great ocean road as it has high rating in Zomato and Google search. The place was busy and cafe has nice setting. We ordered buttermilk calamari which was tasty, pork belly bun which was flavoursome, and chicken burger. Well done on the pork belly bun. Crunchy, soft and bustt with flavor. Coffee also nice.
Good Food Good Mood
This was an accidental discovery of the absolute best kind. We hit up G-towns most popular street for brekkie during a weekend road trip and were thoroughly delighted. I ordered the hot cakes and hubby had the big breakfast. We sat outside but in a covered area and were so pleasantly surprised we wondered how regularly we could justify a return visit from Melbourne. They are all about fresh and seasonal produce creating everything in house even all of the divine looking cakes. Definitely on par with the competitive Melbourne brunch scene, we loved it so much we vowed to visit their other branch the next day before heading home.
Judy
Was in town visiting family and were taken to 63 degrees for brunch! I had the smashed avo on toast with poached eggs and it was so good! Definitely filled my avocado cravings for the week and everything tasted very fresh and wholesome. The vege bowl and also scrambled eggs were also tasty and worthy of good word!
The Pet Roo
Walking down Pakington Street and looking for somewhere to eat. After passing many dark and sparsely occupied establishment, this light filled and very popular place caught my eye. I think the baby blue coffee machine had alot to do with it. I'm a fritter lover and can't resist them so again this is what i chose. Coffee arrived first and it was spot on, no complaints. My fritters arrived shortly after and i naturally tucked in. Corn, mango and chilli fritters by name and yes could see and taste corn but the mango and chilli were so subtle and really could not taste those flavours. The fritters should hero the dish and everything else should compliment them but they lacked subsistence and flavour. The sour cream also just tasted like sour cream and the mango and lime was not evident. The sesame crusted avocado was fresh and delicious and the two poached eggs were cook perfect. I think this dish could be served as vegetarian and thus drop the chorizo and maybe substitute it with mushrooms and give veggos another dish they can choose without adding to the expense when making any modification to a menu item. The service was excellent.

Overrated. Took around 20 minutes to actually take our order. Another 15-20 for coffees to arrive, which were apparently awful and not drunk according to my partner and sister in law. 3 yo's OJ took another 5 to come out. Meals were another 15. My meal was average (corn fritters) which originally arrived without fritters and I had to ask them to take it back to fix the meal. Partner and sister in law both were not impressed, couldn't cut the bread in their meals (toasted sourdough with butter knives?). 3yo told the table next to us her meal was "yucky" when they asked her! Place was really busy so we were all surprised by the average food, burnt tasting coffee and slow service. $$$$ was not worth it. Quite let down and won't be returning.
Janet Harvey
Non-existent Tuesday lunch service after menus and water were proffered, we were ignored for over 20 minutes so we moved elsewhere for a meal.
Demi Pell
Great service! I had trouble deciding what to get because sooo many things looked delicious! Ended up with the sticky chicken and it did not disappoint. Disappointed i didnt find it sooner!
Loved the outdoor space too
Paige May
I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Geelong, the atmosphere is great, amazing set up, friendly service, the wait for our food was a little long however the food was absolutely amazing and well worth the wait, my tastebuds have never been happier!!
MJ Amerito
Great spot for breaky! Staff were lovely and attentive to table. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Coffee was equally as good! Highly recommend.
Moose
New renos look great, always a consistently acceptable menu and cup of coffee however service is always disorganized and slow. Most times I'm here I'm seated on a dirty table, awaiting clearing, cleaning and service.
Tran
Service was okay. Food was average as.
My beef patty was dry, i struggled to finish it without extra sauce and orange juice. I would've appreciated more onion rings and veggies as there was minimal. It was sort of sickening a few bites in but the side of sauce made the food a bit better. On the bright side, i enjoyed the chips. The interior and atmosphere also was really nice. :))

Busy....

One of the most sought after spot along Pakington St, Geelong West, plenty of parking at the back.

Looks rustic, inside out, outdoor is prefered, it was full when we were there, so stayed inside, long communal table is good, right in front of the action.

Brunch menu and presentation looks rustic too, nothing extraordinary but well made.

Coffee is well made and above average.

Pleasant service.

Bob Thomas
Since its recent makeover, the interior is brighter, but the real improvement has been the food. The menu is delectably interesting. I had a hard time choosing amongst several offerings that caught my eye. The roast pumpkin and eggplant with chorizo and halumi was scrumtious, and my partner's slow cooked lamb was just as good. I would have paid at least 50% more in many restaurants for no increase in flavour or serving size. In short, great food at a great price.

Mariam
On the way to Barwon heads stopped for a brunch in Geelong and found this cafe by true local app.
Such a pleasant experience, nice decorations, tasty food, great presentation and lovely staff & reasonable price.
Really liked it and definitely will go back again.
BIRCHER QUEEN 👑
Lucky enough to get a table for 4 people inside on a Saturday at 10am. Lots to choose from on the menu. Staff were friendly but service was slow...it took 20 minutes for our coffees to arrive and when they did they were cold. The muesli was filling however it was slightly bland and drenched in milk...so weird as I've never had granola/muesli served to me where the milk is pre poured. The yoghurt served with the dish was AMAZING - so thick and creamy. Happy to give this cafe another go when their summer menu is released!
Randomness_of_existence
On our drive towards Great Ocean Road, I knew we were passing through Geelong so I quickly looked up cafes in the area. Came across 63 Degrees cafe which was popular amongst a few blogs. The interiors was nice with country rustic decor. Upon entering we were greeted by a wonderfully friendly staff who seated us straight away. There was many different dishes to choose from. The coffee was quite good here so if you're nearby and looking for a takeaway cup, I would recommend 63 degrees.
Don'tMessWithMyFood
Loved it. Plenty of seating, quick service and lovely ambience! Great for families and little kids. Loved the creative menu, with my favourite being the benecroissant! Good coffee as well! Can't wait to try every item on it!

Nice place, really cool spot in Pako. Food is nothing to rave about though. Thought I'd stray away from the usual eggs on toast with what sides I like but I wasn't so sure. I got potato cakes with scrambled eggs. Potato cakes tasted like they weren't made fresh, something out of the freezer and made me wish I had bread instead. Mushrooms were delicious and so was the coffee. Considering the price of most things it wasn't really mind blowing. Service was great however and it being Easter with a lot of large tables I thought it was good of them to be so attentive. Would return to try something else.
FineDiners
Not bad a place, but nothing to rave about. Food was ok. The staff member that served us could appear slightly more friendly. Overall, average, not above or below.

Updated post renovation in July 2016. Same guys, but things have got even better! The interior has really improved. Such a brilliant fit out. The food has gone down a different path and I love it. Fresh, beautiful and creative. Really good place to be.

These guys are gooooood. Can pour a mean latte and house blend beans are solid. Lovely staff. Fairly quick service. Outdoor seating has a good energy. Seems very accommodating to families / kids. Strong breakfast menu. Keep it up dudes!

Food was slow, took half hour for coffee. When it finally was served the coffee was bland, clearly rushed job.

Apart from that food was a awesome !!!

I don't always throw around high ratings but 63 Degrees deserves it! Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere and fantastic food!

The almond milks caps were creamy and frothy with a strong coffee taste. Great start!

The Paleo Bowl of seared salmon and veggies was briliant!! Cooked medium-rare and packed with flavour!

The Coconut Yoghurt was equally brilliant! Lots of fruit to accompany the dish and the orange spritz really cleansed the palate! Wow!!

On the way out we grabbed a goji berry paleo ball and a paleo peanut butter slice.

The friendly staff and service while paying turned this review from a 4.5 to 5.0.

Thanks 63 Degrees - it's out first time visiting Geelong and we will definitely be back again!!!
Out & About
Awesome food with a touch of attitude. Barista was good as well pumping out a nice double espresso, found the ristretto a little average. The potato cake, bacon & fried egg dish was a winner. Will certainly return.
John
The cafe had a really nice vibe. Even though the place was really busy it ran efficiently and the customer service was friendly and patient. I really liked my vegetarian focaccia. Geelong certainly impresses.
Lucas Mullin
Probably the most overpriced cafe on pakington street. I have no idea why this place is so popular. The breakfast was lousy. The coffee was average. Meals arrived over 20mins apart. Staff were unapologetic. Will not visit again.
Allison Elsey
I've been here quite a few times now and I have pretty much had the same consistent service. Meals are always nice with decent portions. Staff are pretty friendly and accommodating and coffee is pretty good too. I like their seasonal menus and always enjoy my meals. Just wish they had a small area where you could sit with your dog or at least have somewhere in view you could tie them.
Boy Blue
This cafe is one of the regions best in the heart of Pako. The menu is always on trend. The service is vibrant and the coffee is exceptional.
Mrmcveigh
The food was pretty good! Im not one to buy bacon and eggs... but I did on this occasion and it was lovely. We sat at a table in the corner and it was very noisy inside. I couldnt hear my husband speak across the table. The staff looked to be totally over run - maybe they needed more staff on. Overall it was nice. I would go back.
Peter Cartledge
Delicious coffee. I had the potato cakes with fried eggs and I swapped bacon for Kaiserfliesch, which was also delicious. Great service and friendly staff. Sue loved her avo smash and especially the Duckah. Best long black in a long time. Recommended highly
Sarah
Positive vibe. The corn fritters were just perfect. Staff were friendly, particularly our waitress. Upbeat feel to this cafe.

Like Melbourne, but better. Having recently moved from Melbourne I have been dipping my culinary toes into the food world of Geelong with a little trepidation. Misled by google maps (bad intelligence!, I'm sorry) , I eventually found the 'Pako' st cafe. Walking in on a Sunday at 11am I expected delays especially given all the FOH staff looked under 20, but proving assumptions make an 'ass' out of 'u' & 'me' i was promptly brought water and a menu and had my coffee delivered in 5 mins. Just enough time to chose the tacotaco option for brunch. Coffee was very good, certainly the best I have had in Geelong, and my meal which arrived less than 15 minutes later was a delightful fusion of Paleo and Mexico.
Thank you 63 for raising the bar, I shall venture forth with less trepidation thanks to you
Jen
Very disappointed!!. I am not one to normally leave reviews, but I have never had such a bad experience in any restaurant/cafe! After waiting for over an hour for our meals, the waitress informed us that our order was misplaced and the chefs did not see the docket! By this point, the kitchen was closed and we were told that we would not be served our meals! I can't believe we waited an hour, only to be sent away with no food. Never again!
Ezza
Consistently good, we had breakfast there this morning and we both said it was soooo delicious. I had the avo smash and my man had the corn cakes with kale. The avo smash was so good I don't think it needed the eggs. I gave one to my partner, and only ate half of the other one. I was enjoying the rest of the breaky i didn't bother with them. I tried my partners and it was magnificent! The coffee is great and the staff are always friendly. This is our go to when we go out for breaky
Peaceloveandfoodiness
Hit and miss. It's really hit and miss here. There are great breakfast options for those with food allergies and I particularly love the avosmash or the corncakes (I always order these with extra poached eggs) and the ricotta hotcakes are delish! However their lunch options have been average and I wouldn't recommend anything highly. The coffee is okay - there are better drips at cafes nearby. Service is always, always surly and unwelcoming.
Overall I think they need to lift their performance up.
Moppetage
Highly recommended! My friend said the baked beans and thick shake were the best she's ever had and my zucchini and corn fritters with pomegranate and kale were so good I don't even miss my usual bacon. Worth travelling to Geelong for - it's that good.
Lauren
Food is average for the price and yeah fresh squeeze does not come from a bottle. Don't rate it .... Too pricey for what ....my hubby cooks better than this

Sh*t sourdough bread gross
Jdrigg
Poor. Confused wait staff, smokers allowed to smoke to close to eating area, ran out of food choice and very loud! Not good for the price you pay for the meal.
PeanutButter
Looked good but.... Was OK but won't bother going back. Food was average and well overpriced, staff were not exactly directly rude but not genuine and friendly. Atmosphere would be improved with better staff training. But I'll spend my money and time elsewhere - or even stay home if this place was my only option. Shame as the place is nicely designed and some fun art and good space for indoor or outdoor seating.
Steph A
HORRIBLE I don't know why I wastedy time and money! Food is overpriced and generic and the "freshly squeezed" orange juice is from a bottle! Save yourself the time and go around ten corner to the box office were they give you the correct order
Erin
We just ordered 2 wraps and 2 coffees from here. The staff were rude, the chicken tasted like processed rubber and the waitress took our plates away before we had even finished our meals. Was not worth the $40. We will not be returning in a hurry.
Mairaed Crawford
Quite possibly the worst breakfast I have had in Geelong and surrounding areas. We waited 20 minutes before anyone came to our table (it's supposed to be table service). The waitress then took our order and we waited another 15 minutes before table water was brought to our table. The soy latte I ordered was the best thing about this otherwise sub-par breakfast experience. It took 45 minutes from when our order was taken until our meals arrived. When it did finally arrive our breakfast was cold(smashed avo and poached eggs for me and poached eggs, bacon and hash browns for my partner). The poached eggs were the biggest disappointment and more resembled hard boiled yolks then the soft gooey yolks we were expecting. This establishment should focus on the basics of good service and a good quality breakfast given it's on the expensive end of the scale for what proved to be a very average breakfast.

I won't be returning until 63 degrees can get their act together and won't be recommending to any of my friends that's for sure.
Chloe Sansom
Worst breakfast I've ever had. The menu stated the item was cauliflower fritters and a plate came out with three pices of deep fries cauliflower with no seasoning or flavour whatsoever. It was disgusting and I felt unwell after eating it. The experience was made worse by the men on the table next to us smoking heavily while we ate.
Foodie
Never again. After many visits to this much loved cafe, 63 degrees didn't deliver today and I was left wondering why I went. Extremely poor and unorganised service and when the food arrived to my table it was cold. $38 for burnt bread, over cooked eggs and cold bacon, a once loved and enjoyable place to eat, now an overpriced and unpleasurable experience!
Pentillie
No service, expensive, noisy and annoying... but good coffee if you can wait a year to get it. What was a good spot to get a nice feed and sometimes service and very good coffee is now plagued with no service.

The staff wander around you like you are invisible, sitting there awaiting a menu so you can actually order, the maitre 'd stands behind the counter oblivious to it all.... it should be so much better.

The food does taste good if you can afford to pay for it and more so WAIT for it.... everything is so slow......$28 for a burger, c'mon seriously, it isn't that good.

There is no excuse for not providing service and greeting customers upon arriving. No excuse for following up and actually making the sale and taking the order - that is what you are in fact paid to do.

It is generally a frustrating experience. Back to The Pantry in Pakington St where it all happens in a flash with a smile, also tastes great and my wallet is still in tact.

Get your act together guys, we want to support you but you are pushing us and many of our friends in the local away. Word spreads quick.

Dissappointed Highton local.
Rob
Sometimes you get more than you expected.. Sorry 63, but you didn't do it for me today. Pork belly roll on the menu said it came with red paw paw & slaw. I requested no paw paw, thanks this was not on my roll, neither was the slaw, unless slaw is now made up from oak leaf lettuce. No mention of cheese on the menu at all for this meal, but out it comes with chess melted over the pork belly. Hey, chef, how about you make a trip to the chemist to see what Loperamide Hydrochloride is used for, cos that's what I am taking tonight!
Sandra
Yum. Really enjoyed today coconut pancakes with strawberries and green tea syrup! Prompt service and friendly staff.
Mareebarrett
Hopes 21 birthday. Thankyou to all the staff at 63 degrees
We had an amazing night excellent food, service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly would highly recommend your venue to family and friends
thanks again for helping make a special night for Hope so good
Maree Barrett

I'd rather eat my dogs turds than come here
Annie
Love this place. Fantastic coffee and better than average menu choices especially for breakfast.
Kel Phlips
Relaxed and tasty. This place was great. The kids meals were varied and well priced and our breakfasts were delicious.
CB
Yummo. We had breakfast here. Love the feel of the place and the staff were great. A good menu and our meals were lovely. Good coffee too. Will definitely go back!
Megan W
This cafe is full of loud, pretentious people! Staff mucked up our breakfast order and when this was pointed out they didn't really care. Not a good start to the day. We definitely won't be back
Chrisso
Great hearty food, good buzz, staff helpful and not intrusive and most importantly they serve milkshakes in the proper metal cups! Well done and not quite sure why they do not have a better rating. C'mon people.
Livia Gleeson
Love the decor. Staff have always been friendly. This place always seems to be packed for weekend breakfasts that speaks for itself. One of the best Sunday brunch experienced I have had. Fig pancakes are the bomb.
Fly On The Wall
Very tasty food and enjoy it more than the other 63 degrees although the service can be a little slow and music a bit loud for a Sunday morning
Marie E McDonald
Our visit was a lesson in crucial Urbanspoon research before you dine... Perhaps we could have picked a better day for a particular red headed staff member. Lets just say the mane matched the temperament. You work in hospitality... you wouldn't think it so hard to be polite. Food was very average, a salad with copious amounts of dressing yet no flavour and coffee was lacklustre. Lesson learnt.
Natasha Shannon
Great food, Lovely Outdoor Seating Area. My husband and I were visiting friends in Geelong and met up with some friends for lunch at 63 Degrees. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly waiter who helped us escort our baby (in pram) and 2 year old daughter to an outside table. The outside area is really lovely with rustic tables and fresh strawberries, herbs, etc growing in the planter boxes. We ordered the falafel, a pide and macaroni cheese. The falafel and pide were HUGE and really tasty and fresh. The macaroni cheese was also a massive serve but very oily (well, compared to how I make it at home). My husband enjoyed his coffee and our free bottled water was happily refilled during our stay. I'm surprised that people found their staff unfriendly as we were really impressed with their service level and the speed in which our food was received. Would definitely eat here again.
Penny
Dissapointed!!!. Was told it is pretty good place for Sunday lunch. We went there around 12 could you believe we waited our food for 1 hour. the wait staff just keep saying is coming very soon. OMG!!! Just ruined my Sunday!!!!! not recommended!!!
Monica
Had a lovely breakfast this weekend. Staff were courteous and knowledgable. Very accommodating. Being vegan I had several questions about the menu. Nothing was too much trouble. Incredibly helpful and happy to discuss their opinions.
Newbie
New to town and loved it. Im not one to write reviews but I do read them when looking for something in a place Im new to. However I felt compelled to make a contribution today as I must disagree with some of the previous posts. I had the eggs and smashed avocado, just perfection. A healthy breakfast that kept me full until a late lunch. Coffee was delicious and creamy. The staff were bubbly and attentive. I particularly enjoy sitting outside, so whole experience was delightful and Ill be back. Please don't be fooled by serial complainers, this place is a cut above the rest.
Em
Absolutely foul!! I'm sorry but poached eggs are undercooked if the egg white is still clear! I complained to the wait staff and was told 'that's how we cook them here.' sorry, not good enough. She finally agreed to have them taken back to the kitchen. My replacement
Eggs were over cooked and hard. I'm
Sure this was done on purpose to try and prove a point. Well you did - noone that was sitting with me will ever be back that's a promise! Don't eat here - many better options on Pako!
C
Food poisoning...what more can I say. I'd advise you go elsewhere.
Troy
Wow. Awesome service. With a smile.
Great food. Efficient delicious.
Sarah Smith
Positively Rude. Staff member aggressively told us to move from a reserved table after we had been seared there by another member of staff. We would have been happy to give up the table and wait our turn if she'd just explained there had been a mix up. 63 Defrees should seriously consider some customer service training. Currently enjoying polite service and a very nice coffee just down the road at Rush Books.
Jojo1984
5 minutes ago I was seated with 2 friends by the staff of this cafe. The table had previously been reserved, but the patrons had failed to arrive on time. Not 10 seconds after our coffees were ordered a *very* aggressive waitress chastised us for sitting at the table and ordered us to get up. Her attitude was incredibly condescending and beyond rude. I would have happily moved from the table had we been spoken to in a civil manner - instead, we immediately walked out of the cafe and we will not be returning

Casual & Nice. Was walking past 63 degrees on Packington st and decided to go in for lunch. Ordered an Open Steak Sandwich and my partner ordered the Chicken BLT. Both of us were impressed with our meals. Both plates came out looking fresh and full and ended up tasting great. Our waitress was friendly and was happy to reccommend meals and a wine to us. Would come back again for a quick bite to eat or a coffee and cake.

Yum breakfast. Love the corn fritters. Couldn't fault the service on a busy morning. Will be back

Too Slow. Wait staff were fine, but time from ordering to when our meal was received was too long, esp. for a work lunch. Then we ordered takeaway sandwiches....how long did they take - ages. We also ordered coffee, not only were they bland, but they were mixed up labelled incorrectly and suger in ones that dont have sugar - wow how hard can it be to get an order right?
Omlette is more like a frittata - it was tastey but not an omlette...

Peaking at Mediocre. Well it must be me expecting a snack or something after Lunch but enter at 3pm to wrapped baguettes, panini's and savory pastries in the display. But no - Kitchen's closed so you can have cake and biscuits - why the attitude 'cause we walk in after Lunch still ready to spend but Two strikes now with two visits - Insipid coffee, try hard decor and dude on coffee less than welcoming lucky you're the only place on Pako that does Coffee and Cake oh wait. . . . .

VIP treatment request the smashed Avo with poached eggs, absolutely scrumptious! And the staff are a dream too. Take a tasty fresh baked good for the road. Yum! Oh and a coffee or soy chai

Great place for a leisurely meal. We were there en route to Great Ocean Road on Friday and stopped by for lunch and loved it! The sunny weather was perfect for sitting outside. Service staff were friendly and helpful, and we could tell this was a very child/family friendly place judging from the patrons there. Service took a while but who's in a rush? We ordered the beef burger and lamb & rosemary pie. The beef burger was huge, good quality pattie and loads of bacon and other extras. The lamb pie was filled with chunks of tender meat, it was amazing. There were generous servings of wedges and chips with both.
A great experience there!

Extremely Dissapointing. I live in Geelong and I was shocked to hear such rave reviews for such a dissapointing cafe. It simply does not compare to some cafe's in Geelong, especially those on Pakington Street.
I have been here 3 or 4 times as it is close by and its horrible. The prices are high for what you get and the staff are always grumpy, making you feel as though you are a burden on their day. I've never received my meal sooner than 45 minutes after ordering it, and twice it has been stone cold. The coffee isn't bad but still average and varying meals is a big no no - the staff (including the manager) simply don't let you! I've learnt not to waste my time or money, you shouldn't either!

Best coffee in Geelong. Always drop in when coming through from Melbs. Cook eggs to perfection too.

I popped down from Melbourne b/c I heard good reviews about this cafe. Glad to say I was super. Impressed, food is creative, service spot on and coffee as good as I've had!

We often go to 63 degrees fir breaky, lunch and coffees. Always awesome! Coffee is great and speedy and breaky has got even better with the new chef! Never disappointed! Staff always friendly and food is timely! Best 63 in Geelong! Thanks Jodie and front end staff. :-)

Been here about 8 times and gets worse each time i visit somehow.food fluctuates and coffee is average, nothing special here but what really annoys me is the staff just dont smile or seem to care.a little cheer goes a long way.theres absolutely no reason to go back here especially with all the other great places very near them.

Expensive for what you get and BYO service.

Overpriced. I'd read good reviews and came with high expectations. I left very disappointed. Their website shows no prices on their menu, and it's for good reason.

With prices higher than some of the best breakfast places in Melbourne (a "big breakfast" with no coffee costs $21!!!!!!), you leave hungry and with a light wallet. And yes those cheaper places in Melbourne taste better.
Disappointing.
