I had my 21st Birthday at The National Hotel on their Rooftop bar and it was fantastic the venue is amazing the staff are so kind and happy to help with anything and are quick to respond to emails which made the organisation side of my event super easy for me! I would highly recommend The National! Awesome atmosphere, amazing staff and beautiful food!

Lovely dinner at National Hotel. Staff are so friendly, inviting and happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious and so were the cocktails! A huge thankyou to Riley and Santosh for their cocktail expertise and Mel for the warm welcome on arrival. The rooftop bar had a great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back for dinner again!

I recently had my 30th here and booked the rooftop function room. Everything leading up to the night was easy and efficient, any questions I had were answered within a prompt timeframe and everything was extremely reasonable with multiple options offered for food and the drinks tab! On the night the service of drinks and food were spot on, all my guests were raving about how tasty and generous the canapés were! If you are looking for a function space for your next event, I would recommend checking The National Hotel out !!

We had lunch at the newly renovated National, gone are the bad old days of grungy patrons. It's now lovely, where you can bring anybody and have a great time. We ordered from the lunch express menu, I had the steak sandwich, it was good. The service was also good, the rooftop terrace is worth a visit. I'd definitely recommend the National for meals and a drink.

We came here loads when it first reopened and it was amazing. In the last few months the menu has changed and the quality has deteriorated. I always order the porterhouse steak which used to come with delicious veg and now comes with the most average salad and chips. I asked to substitute my salad and chips for just veg and was charged an additional $3. When it arrived I reckon I got about 10 pieces of mainly green beans. Very disappointing. The cut of beef has deteriorated, as well as the sauce provided which lacks taste as well as quantity.
So much potential which has now gone to waste, pick yourselves up please!

We recently had a function at the national. I highly reccomend this venue. The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing and lots of it. The staff even packed up our belongings and kept them safe for us to come back to pick up. Thanks again to all.

Went out for dinner with my family for my brother's 30th Birthday. We went to steak night Tuesday and I ordered the porterhouse steak with peppercorn sauce I must say it was the best steak I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back. Dinner was well spent. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted very warmly by the staff and they looked after us well throughout the night. Great service.

I came with friends for dinner. Very disappointed in my meal. Ordered the gnocchi. When I tasted it it was awful. Bland and watery. I spoke to the waiter(who was very helpful) and said that it was terrible. I asked for a refund of the $29 I paid as by this stage my friends had finished eating. Eventually I was told that there would be no refund and it was pretty much bad luck. So no meal and no money. Customer service sadly lacking. Won't be back anytime soon.

My hubby and I went out for dinner tonight to try something new and decided we should try this place. We had chicken parmigiana and the porterhouse steak which was great! Veggies were done to perfection! Definitely coming back. Staff lovely and the way the place has been renovated is very nice.
