Review Untitled - Geelong

Brydie Clark
The Untitled bagel is an institution in Geelong for a good reason. Once you try one, you’ll know. Despite there being lots of cafés nearby, Untitled has remained my local for the last two years because coffees are great, the bagels are unbeatable and all the snacks are delicious. Gluten free and vegan options are available and really high quality as well. If you’re feeling something a little bit healthier - try a salad or a bowl with a smoothie. Sure, there might be a wait time, but it is a small cafe that is very popular, and they are usually very clear about any delays (Skip is a great option that is available for those in a hurry). My dog also loves visiting for a treat and to hang out in the dog-friendly courtyard when it’s open. My recommendation is the halloumi seeded bagel.

Called and placed order via Bluetooth. Error made as two cafes with exactly the same name with no connection. Staff in Geelong did not indicate this upon answering. When I requested that my order be cancelled as geographically impossible for me to pick up order, I was told couldn’t refund as food prepared. Less than 10 mins. Initially told it would be 15 mins for pickup. Passed on to senior staff. Reiterated situation. Told same however I indicated that this is an exception given two cafes with identical names. A little unfair they have food and payment and I have neither! Aggressive attitude and rudeness levelled at me and told I should listen better! Call terminated. I had other people in car who could not believe what they hearing! 😲 seriously staff training needed in respectful communication with customers. By the way other cafe runs rings around around service and respectful communication!

For someone who has never bought a coffee from here, I won’t be buying another. We waited for my name to be called to say our coffee was ready which didn’t happen. When I queried I was told if I ordered online I had to let you know I was here. No where in the text or order process does it say this. Our coffees were ready and lukewarm.

Untitled is one of my regular brunch haunts with friends. Cute corner location, with ample parking and a neighbourhood favourite coffee take away window with Skip pre-ordering service. Nice meals which include great vegetarian and vegan options. Coffee is good but not the best in the area and they don’t offer Bonsoy milk which is bit of a downer. Tight floor space, comfortable in the early morning when less people are around as it can get a bit loud and cramped when full. Patio is a great option when the weather permits. Aesthetically pleasing surrounds and set up. Never experienced poor customer service as other reviewers have mentioned - always friendly and polite however coffee service time can be a bit slower than preferred. Recommendable and I will remain a returning customer for the vegan options and great positioning.

I have removed my previous 1 star review as today, I enjoyed the great service, the yummy raspberry and white chocolate muffin and the amazing coffee at Untitled. I'm so glad that I popped in this morning after the South Geelong Farmers Market. Next time I'm having the fritters, they looked good!

Cute little corner cafe. The inside seating area is quite small but there is a little window for you to order/pickup take away on the outside. It was a lovely sunny day and I would have loved some outdoor seating. My friends and I shared a few different bagels and they were all really nice, filling and good value for money. Another small thing that put a dent in the score was the coffee I ordered - soy flat white. I'm not a fan of the soy milk they used and it just tasted like burnt milk. I hope it was just a once-off and would go back again to give it another go.

✨Pros: lots of vegetarian menu options, cute little coffee window, BAGELS!
✨Cons: limited seating space, bad coffee experience, average customer service

Twosheds popped into this fantastic little corner coffee shop in Kilgour St, Geelong for a morning coffee first thing Saturday. Seriously cute place serving coffees out a window onto Kilgour St. We didn’t sit inside but had a look - great vibe and treats under the counter (pictured). The coffee was excellent. We will eat here next time as the menu looks fantastic - think bagels and wraps, including a Reuben, which is a favourite. The coffee took a little while to arrive as the cafe has a queue skipping arrangement (pre ordering by an app I think) but when it did arrive, it was excellent.

Recommended. 4.1

We've been here a couple of times and the food and coffee is great. Portion sizes are perfect and staff are friendly. It's a bit cramped but only when busy. The fritters and brisket is yummy
