Just had a bottomless brunch and the food was so so so delicious. Chicken Bang was my fave. Also bottomless cocktails can’t say no to that! Best value and afternoon spent with friends. �����
I would recommend Mr Umami's to anyone as the food, wine and services is great. The menu is best shared and as you eat each dish you will have taste sensation overload.
Ok........this was our 2nd time to visit. Immediately, these skilful and friendly staff recognised and welcomed us back.
We immediately hit some dumplings, some of the tastiest I've ever had. Followed by the delicious chicken skewers....yum.
When talking to the talented waiter about the mains, he highly recommend the Num Num Lamb.......he wasn't wrong, it was soooooo tender, succulent and simply brilliant.
Good work again Umami's.........we will be back again without doubt.

An absolutely amazing restaurant. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the chicken buns, masaman curry and pork belly. The Vietnamese churros finished the meal perfectly washed down with an espresso martini or two. Staff were wonderful and we will definitely be back

Me Umami's is delicious, the staff are friendly and helpful when deciding what to order, the portions are huge, I highly recommend the starters they are so yummy and ideal for sharing in fact the portions are so generous that you could easily share 2 mains between 3 people, my friends and I have tried most of the menu between us and nothing has been a disappointment, there's something for every tastebud
Bottomless brunch was such a hit with our group yesterday. Food was delicious and we certainly got our moneys worth in cocktails. Such great value, we’ll be back again.
The service was great and the food was amazing!! Very generous serves and full of flavour. Left feeling full even without having dessert. Would definitely recommend. Well done Mr Umami's!!
Food could not be faulted it was absolutely delicious...
Service was a bit off to start with, no wine list by the bottles & a bit slow but it picked up & the staff were then. attentive. A bit of a wait (35-40min) between starters & mains but seriously that was forgiven once we tasted the beef it was worth the wait.
Well priced & great atmosphere. We will be back.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE BANG BANG CHICKEN AS I CANNOT SEE IT ON THE MENU ANYMORE AND WOULD LOVE IF IT COULD BE DELIVERED BY UBER EATS OR DO A TAKE AWAY
Ticks all the boxes - food is fantastic - fresh and full of flavour. Great calamari and beef massaman curry among other dishes we loved -very generous serves. Nice ambience and great service. Only one gripe - the mango mousse (SOOOOO good, I always had it) has been taken off the menu - please bring it back!!!

Very nice food, with lots of Varied Asian fusion flavours. Decor very open, but with quiet areas. Clean modern space. Price in the moderate range, and value for what was served. Will gladly go again.
Amazing food! The diy board with crispy pork belly was actually amazing. Japanese calamari literally melted in your mouth, everything was yum yum yum! Deserves a rating above 4 for sure what a gem👌🏽
Beautiful set up, lovely vibe. Menu was great, plenty options to share or meals to eat solo. Needless to say we had high expectations! The food wasn't too bad.. but we weren't blown away either.
Great venue and interesting menu, staff very friendly and well prepared to answer our questions and accomodate requests and special dietary requirements. Dishes didn't take long to come out even if it was a busy saturday night. Food was good but a little overspiced, i also think a little overpriced but to be honest the serves were big and very filling. Calling a restaurant Umami it's a little pretentious though and i am not giving more than 3.5 basically because i didn't get the umami flavour i was expecting. Overall experience was good, and it's definitely worth to give it a try.

Asian Infusion heats up Geelong at Mr Umami. If you are looking for a trendy twist on Asian Cusine and you are in Geelong, you have to give this place a go.
4/5 Food - The flavours of Asian will tingle in your mouth. The menu is designed best for sharing so you can order a few dishes and try together, I enjoy the social aspect of sharing food. Portion sizes are decent especially with the mains. Everything was flavoursome, quality produce and food were presented nicely. The only thing which was disappointing were the dumplings; the pastry was too doughy which didn't hold together well.
4/5 Drinks - Good selection of cocktails (Reasonably priced) look and taste great. Beer and wines drinkers won't be disappointed a good variety to choose from.
4/5 Service - The staff were welcoming and attentive, knowledge of the menu was good and can assist with suggestions. The food didn't take long to come out. Dishes were staggered throughout the night enhancing the experience of social sharing.
4/5 Atmosphere - You find Mr Umami tucked behind the Barking Dog on Packington-street, plenty of car park around. Attached to the barking dog you can walk right in for a drink afterwards. It has a trendy fit-out, long tables for groups. It was busy, and noise picks up over the night - not a quiet restaurant okay to make some noise.
This is place isn't too expensive, good for couples, families and groups.
You shouldn't be disappointed - I recommend trying Mr Umami and will be back here next group outing sometime in the near future.
Excellent range of food, offered many vegetarian/vegan alternatives and excellent service by waiters who were exceptionally welcoming and eager to show me their vegetarian dishes! Highly recommend the tofu cups and steamed vegetable dumplings- will be going back to try their larger plates.

Love it, but be prepared to pay for it. I was (beyond) pleasantly surprised by the aesthetic, the service and the food at this nifty wee establishment. But the pricetag was pretty severe given the size of the serves. But if money is no object and you're lookin for a Chin Chin-esque experience on G-Town, then come on down

The food was good, but OH! the service!!!
Well, may I tell you about the food first? I asked about which dumplings I should have and was recommended the pork and prawn. They were really good. Good enough to order more dumplings, and the money bag dumplings, which were pretty good.
What made this an amazing experience for me was the staff. The beautiful young lady Maddy, who suggested the pork and prawn dumplings, and then the drop dead gorgeous Olly (oh to be 20 again!).
He knew his wines perfectly. Did not have to explain where Marlborough was, let alone New Zealand. Both Maddy and Olly were such wonderful service people it was a delight for me to be there.
I was sitting alone at the front bar table and chatted with these two gorgeous staff members and it was lovely.
I rang the Manager, Sean, today - being so impressed. He was also a pleasure.
I highly recommend Mr Umami's.
As we all know, it's a lot about the food, of course, but for me - anyway - it's a great deal about the service.
I can cook. I can do that at home. I love to have great service and Mr Umami provide that.

A fantastic venue! Just what Geelong needed! For those who have been lucky enough to experience Chin Chins in Melbourne this is the next best thing...and in Geelong! The staff are enthusiastic and clearly enjoy their job, the flavours in the dishes are amazing and the portions generous. We had a 20minute wait for a table which did not bother us at all as we were able to grab a seat and a drink in the bar and were even able to order entrees while we waited. If you're in the area this venue is a must!

Went to the Bottomless Brunch here and I have never been more impressed with a restaurant or bar in my life. They perfectly catered for our large group’s specific dietary requirements, even though we didn’t specify before we got there. Such a positive and fun experience, staff are so lovely here and made us all feel so welcome. Cocktails and food were spectacular, without a doubt the best bottomless brunch out there. Worth every cent! Thank you Mr Umami’s!
The staff were absolutely amazing!! Michael, Karina, Jenna and the team were so accommodating to our dietary requirements. The team were so on top of our drink orders and were so lovely!! To top it off, the food as delicious!!! I couldn’t recommend Mr Umami’s any higher! The staff really make this place
