Food and service was great! Just unfortunate the back room we were in, was a bit echoey especially when more people came in. So it got extremely noisy. But the fruit tingle cocktail was amazing! Best one I've had yet.

Best Mexican in Geelong! Floor staff were attentive and friendly and whilst it was extremely busy, the wait for food was reasonable. Especially given the current climate, we were more than happy to be patient and the food, drinks and service was worth it. Big portion sizes and extremely tasty. Will definitely be coming back!

The Nachos and the Chica tasted great, slightly over average price but well worth it. However, the dish was served after over an hour of it being ordered.

I had takeaway, and I understand Mexican isn't the greatest takeaway food. But everything was so bad, the flavours were so over done. Meat was cooked really well, but so much cheese and salt. Made me feel sick

My friend and I love coming to Mex here. Great service from the girls who know our order off by heart now. Awesome food. Prompt in getting the food to you.

Food is amazing as usual..Staff wow! They are so friendly and super helpful. They're under staffed but geez they all work so hard to keep it running smoothly.

By far the worst mexican food I have ever had! The beef tasted like what I can imagine pal dog food to taste like...🤮 Husband said exact same comments. The only positive was the food was hot. Never again.

Generic chilli sauce. Sticky tables and chairs. Food dry with large chunk of avocado skin. Ribs tough. Manager didn’t even come out to talk to us about our un eatable food. Still $66 later. Well at least we enjoyed two cocktails out of our experience. And we are not fussy. Avoid and save your money.

Food was great, service was fast (and it was busy). Good place for great food. Can get loud with lots of people, so not the place if you're after a bit of intimacy. Highly recommend.

Service staff were good, food was good. If you go allow PLENTY of time! The kitchen lets the place down as does who I assume was the owner offering us a lollipop at the end rather than an apology for The meal delays. #wontbeback

The staff and service were awesome. Margaritas, well all could taste was triple sec. Food ok. Desert, Churros were dry and chewy. I eat Mexican alot. Know when food cooked fresh, these appeared reheated, not crisp and hot and light, very chewy. Will probably not go there again.

Went for dinner here service wasn't great at all, waited over an hour for our food to be served and not once did they come over to see how we were going. Won't be coming back here again! Do not recommend

Had not the best experience but not the places fault, very overly noisey people and rude no control of children or the adults being stupid Asked to be moved but no spare places. Great food u always go there for Mexican

I have visited here many times with friends after uni and the service is great and food is delicious. I love Mexican. The highlight was a waitress called Jasmine, so nice and v helpful... very deserving of a promotion.

Great food, great service, great people and reasonable prices. However I was a little sad that my ribs came with wedges and that I was charged for sour cream! Wedges should automatically come with sour cream!

Visited Mexicali Mama for a mid week dinner. Prompt and extremely friendly service from a waitress named Emma. We will definitely be back with service like that

We had a couple of cocktails - delicious - a little annoying when you sit down and they are wanting you to order in 2 mins - but I must sat food was great and was reasonably priced.

Worst meal ever. Not familiar with Mexican food so ordered the sample plate. What a disappointment. Couldnt distinguish flavours. Sloppy mess. Very overpriced. Awake half the night with gastric reflux. Won't be back again.

We LOVE Mexican food and this place never disappoints. The food is uncomplicated, fresh and most importantly delicious. Try the queso dip. You won't regret it.

The service was very friendly and moderately attentive (the Chica and the Burrito Batata are pictured). <br/><br/>The food itself wasn’t bad and I quite enjoyed my burrito, though it lacked a fresh, authentically Mexican quality. However, it is vegetarian friendly and the menu has a wide range of reasonably priced options.

If you're a vegetarian, this is the last place in Geelong you should go to. Ambiance is good, waiting staff are very kind and polite. As many other comments suggest, Nachos was really good.

Very enjoyable Mexican food. Possibly one of the best serving of Nachos I have ever had. Crunchy corn chips and plenty of fresh guacamole and beans.

I was one of about 15 people in the restaurant that nice and the service was appalling! It took over an hour to get our food............... I don't know how though because when we ordered there was about 4 other people there. The restaurant was filthy, there were cobwebs hanging off their 'decorations', the decor is from 1980............ the walls had 'stuff' dripping down them. Im assuming it was fat/grease from never being cleaned.<br/><br/>Our food came out and it was FAR from good! I didnt eat my meal, it was bland and had no flavour. My husbands meal was around $40 which is expensive for a Mexican restaurant and that was crap too! I definitely wont be going back! If you are looking to have Mexican like that in Geelong I would suggest you go to Mexican Graffiti - they are 100 times better!!!! I should have realised when we walked in and there was noone there that it was going to be bad!

Food was stale the service was rushed to the point of rudeness the takeaway I got was slop as I paid sniggers and smurks were exchanged by the staff... Don't waste you time and money on this place

Great Food / Fantastic Surroundings Mexican at its Finest. Dinner with my wife cant explain how good it was, as for the clown that went in at 9pm to eat next time try McDonalds their open 24 hours.<br/>Lovely Staff very accommodating keep up the good work will definitely recommend.

I had big expectations of this place given the reviews... I was sorely disappointed! Ordered takeaway, they forgot 3 of the sides, I didn't realise until afterwards. They offered credit for my next visit but I had already decided there wouldn't be another one. The food was very ordinary, rice was not cooked, meat dishes over cooked and dry (I assume microwaved). The staff whilst well intentioned didn't have any idea. It really was stodgy uninspired food. If you want good Mexican in this part of the world I'd recommend the 30 min drive up the road to Salsa Mexican in Werribee where the food is amazing, authentic and delicious. Never again at this place.

Awesome food, awesome service! We had the banquet fiesta for 2, which was well priced and huge portions. It's was way more than we could eat between the two of us. The food was awesome though. The service was also fantastic.

Despite the open sign on both the door and outside the restaurant, when we went in at 9pm on a Friday night we were told they were closed, complete with customers still eating there. Came to the conclusion that customers in fact were a part of decoration and therefore get shut in there every night.

Great Mexican. Best Mexican in Geelong by far. The tacos are fantastic, a regular place for myself and the family.

Delicious! Really delicious. I liked the enchilada the most. And the tex mex plate was amazing and so was the cheese dip. Get involved!

Finally a good Mexican restaurant in Geelong... beautiful fresh & clean tasting food, a far cry from the slop you get at places like taco bill ... very helpful and cheerful waitstaff and nice decor made it a great night. it would be a perfect 10 if it wasn't for the coriander in the salsa, but otherwise a very good experience .
