Review Sai Cloves - Geelong

I've been on the look out for a good Laksa since I moved to the area in February, well now I've found a GREAT one! Chicken & seafood combination Laksa. Enough for 2 portions at $18.10, well worth it.

Best Malaysian food in Geelong. I've been a regular for years. The people are lovely, food is authentic and always delicious. I drop by weekly and find the food consistently fantastic. Very generous serves and intense flavour! Thank you 👌🙏

Absolutely amazing and authentic Indian food. Tried the bhatura set with the fish curry, and the bhatura was super soft and fish curry was to die for. Highly recommend this place for someone craving for authentic Indian food.

Had the roti combination with three curries. Food was delicious and so authentic. I love Malaysian food and this sure tasted like the food back in Malaysia. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Just the enough spiciness to keep our taste buds in check. Found this place by chance and I guess we will be visiting this place more often.

[Owner contacted me so I have since raised the rating] A lacklustre experience from beginning to end. Menulog said that the delivery time would be 20 minutes maximum on the main page. However, the moment I put through the order it said it would take over an hour. I ordered from there thinking it would arrive quickly, so just beware that the delivery time specified on the menulog site is not the same as the actual delivery time. I found that to be quite disappointing, especially since I ordered during the day and the restaurant is 5 minutes drive from my house. If the dish required longer cooking time, this should have been specified on the website. Also note that the add for the Hyderabad Biryani menu item just states that it comes with 'meat'. It doesn't give you an option to choose, nor does it tell you what type of meat you will get. Turns out you get chicken, and not a lot of it. It was warming, though a bit bland. The one advantage is that it is quite cheap. Otherwise, a less than average experience.

If looting money is an art Sai cloves is the Picasso of it. $0.30 sub charge in eftpos, $0.20 extra for small container, $0.5 for bags. A small container is displayed for takeaway and when I ordered a dish in small container, they gave me in a large container charging extra money saying small containers are not available for take away purpose it’s only for display. Though the food taste is consistently good in this restaurant, the way they loot money for small things annoys everyone. I will never return to this restaurant just for the way they loot money from customers. Please concentrate on increasing customer satisfaction rather looting money from them. If this continues Sai cloves might start charging for breathing air drinking water in their restaurant. Worst experience:( just avoid

Edited!!!!!!! Have to do this. Been customer for very long time and the taste has been deteriorated a lot. Placed an order for two chicken biryanis with fried piece. And the biryani Barely had any salt. Sadly, I have to chuck into the bin.

We had a ok chicken briani and mango lassi. Will have to go back to order something different.

I have been here multiple times and if you haven't already tried this place...please do so soon. This restaurant is run by a husband/wife team and I am amazed on how fast the food is delivered. I tried the Mee Goreng, Eggplant Sambal, Nasi Lemak, Thai Fried Rice, Masala Dosa, Curry Puffs, Cantonese Noodles, Char Kway Teow, Briyani, Singapore Noodles, Goat Curry etc and they have all been SUPERB. I'm glad there's a South East Asian Cuisine in Geelong where I can eat anytime. Will I recommend this to customers? Absolutely! Congratulations on the success of your business!

Best curry in Geelong, we get take away from here regularly. So much meat in the curries, huge curry puffs and freshly made roti

The best tom yum soup we tasted in a long while. Everything else was simply delicious too! Staff was very friendly and served superbly!! Keep it up! Wish we had halal Malaysian food in Adelaide too like yours!!

Yum yum yum, delicious Dahl. I was very disappointed by another local Indian restaurant when I ordered veggie curry and watched them proceed to pull out a bag of Birdseye frozen veggies then evidently covered them in a sauce - a tasteless watery dish. BUT Sai Cloves served up succulent eggplant, divine Dahl, rice and a mango lassi that prompted me to write my first ever restaurant review.

It's authentic....and no other restaurant comes close to its authenticity... If you've had these dishes in Malaysia, Sri Lanka or Singapore... This is exactly what you'd get. I can't go past Belmont without grabbing a snack or a meal...

Best Malaysian food we've found in Geelong. Highly recommended.

Yesterday, friends and I drove to Geelong to check out this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The Cantonese Noodle was delicious and so was the heaps of other food we ordered. The Masala tea was also really good. My husband ( who loves his curry puffs ) said that it was really good. Thank you for the wonderful service, food and atmosphere.

The rojak is delicious and the peanut sauce: YUM! Food is delicious overall and reasonably priced.

A taste of home (Malaysia) Wonder whether there are any possibilities of banana leaf Sundays?!
