Review Ju Fu Garden Chinese Food - Geelong

Came to know about this restaurant via google and glad we found it. Service was quick and the owner was eager to serve customers. The taste is very good and the serves were not bad. The dumplings set was well worth it. Will be visiting this place again. The ambience was spacious enough. Special mention to the best vanilla ice cream I had in recent times.

Good quality Asia food. No bells or whistles but quality food at a fair price we have been here multiple times and it's great every time. Service is typical Chinese restaurant....direct and quick.

ordered dumplings, mapo tofu and oyster vegetables. Good was decent, mapo tofu was not spicy or numming.

Seemed to look like your average Chinese local takeaway with some tables. Well welcomed walking in,food was great and generous servings not drowning in msg or fillers added in like chunks of onions like others tend to do. Will hit place up next time I'm in Geelong area.

Scrumptious. I had the combination duck which was loaded with thick cuts of duck and other goodies. The sauce was rich without being overly salty. The steamed rice was fresh. The only thing I did not enjoy was the fried rice, which had a boiled rice consistency and was not flavoursome. Otherwise I was happy with my order. The portions were generous and it arrived piping hot. I recommend Jufu Garden.

Was looking for a cheaper good Chinese takeaway. We normally go to Man Bo. JUFU is good but not as nice their honey pawns are a let down if you have had Man Bo's. Special fried rice was fine, so was the green vegetables, and we had a Mongolian Beef. Which I have had better. The satay chicken skewer are tasty, but the sauce is gross. It's think and congeals quickly. It's is Chinese and passable but my quest for a cheap Chinese in Geelong which is nice will go on. $84 - satay chicken skewer, veg spring roll, fied rice, Mongolian beef, green veg, honey prawns + rice crackers.

Great food from this place. Dining-in is your standard environment, nothing too plush; but that's not what you go here for. You're here for the vittles. The menu is quite extensive but do read it carefully as you might not see what you want at first glance. The food I've had has always been tasty, crispy and generous with ingredients. There's no hunting the chicken in their Chicken Curry.

First time eating from here tonight, definitely won’t be the last. Fresh, delicious and generous portions.

We have dine-in here a few times, and tonight, we decided to place a takeaway order over the phone in advance.  I wouldn't be doing this again.  They have stuffed up the order and only discovered this after getting home (in Lara).  Ordered Fish and Vegetables, they have given us Mixed Vegetables instead.

Jufu's a reliable joint. Opened up a few years back now, and it doesn't do anything particularly special other than sort of generalised "take-out chinese", but what it does do, it does well, and always fresh.<br/><br/>However, I discovered recently that they have an English menu, *and* a Chinese menu. I suspect there may be some absolute gems on the Chinese menu, but if (like me) you don't know any Chinese, it's a real lottery as to what you'll end up eating!<br/><br/>It's good though, especially if you're in Geelong and don't feel like cooking.

Forgot to take pic as too hungry but we definitely will dine there soon, so ill take the next time we does.<br/>We called them to have it delivered to our cottage, after asking and ordering many dishes, ended up he said where we stay is not on their delivery area as it is too far, so my partner told him that she will call him back to confirm if we gonna pick it up. When we tried to call him back he said no worries, the food is ready for us to pick it up, we were surprised on how trusting he is to us as we haven’t confirm it yet, anyway, the food that we ordered were amazing, we ordered salt n pepper prawn, preserve meat string bean, mapo tofu, pork spare ribs soup, mushroom and vegetables stir fry, all these are direct translated from their chinese menu (not the western menu that u get when u go in), if u didnt ask for it, they will give u normal westernised chinese menu. Prawn was fragrant, the pork ribs soup was divine, string bean, mapo tofu and mushroom n veg stir fry were okay. Overall happy with the food and service and will dine in there soon when we are still here in geelong.<br/><br/>Went there the day after for dinner, and ordered same salt n pepper prawn thats still amazing, salt n pepper chicken which also amazing, fried rice was good, the same pork spare ribs soup but this time was too salty, double cooked pork was not very appetising, braised eggplant was way too sweet and boring, and stir fry chinese brocolli in garlic was okay, overall this second time was still good but i think next time better to take away as they wont feel so rushed to cook as they have lots of take away order, so the food come out too salty/sweet which we didnt have that problem when we took away the first time. <br/>Service was friendly but not attentive, some of the things we have to ask few times, some we have to even take it ourselves. <br/>Overall good and will order take away next time.

My wife & I are disabled pensioners and took at taxi from Melton to Newtown just to eat at this highly recommended small restaurant. We weren't dissapointed. We ordered Steamed Dim Sims, Seasame Prawn toast for entree. They were both lovely. I ordered for main the Crispy Beef in Sweet & Sour Sauce. It was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered Beef noodles in Cantonese sauce. She loved it. Serving sizes were quite good as well. We ordered to take away a serving of Lamb Dumplings  (16 pieces in a serve) & a serving or Singapore Noodles. The Dumplings were lovely but the Singapore Noodles were absolutely beautiful. The whole meal cost $53. The whole trip including taxi to Newtown & lunch was $225 but it was well worth it and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Absolutely best Chinese food in geelong! Would recommend to all family and friends! A bit tricky to get in on Friday or Saturday nights as it is quite a small store but worth giving it a shot!

Such quality food and service! Jufu garden is my go to Chinese take out in all of Geelong! Honey chicken is amazing and the dishes are such value for money. Would highly recommend a visit to Jufu!

Probably my favourite Chinese restaurant in Geelong. The fried chicken and tofu with mushroom were so nice. Wonton soup was delicious and cheap!

These guys are the best. The customer service you receive here is second to none. The food is amazingly good. Suggest you move off the boring Australian Chinese menu and on to the real Chinese menu. The amount of Chinese customers here is testament to how authentic they are. Get the fried chicken with chilli and the Szechwan beef (I asked for extra Szechwan peppers - omg awesome) and also the vegetarian dumplings. There is no better Chinese in Geelong than this.

Fantastic Chinese!! Love the crispy beef and the beef omelette, I find the batter isn't too thick and stodgey like some Chinese takeaway. Highly recommend!!

+: the friendly wait staff (who's also manning the register, behind the counter, etc etc), generous portions <br/><br/>-: the bright red sweet sour chicken (wasn't bad taste wise, just not expecting bright red!), Claypot eggplant was way too oily. not sure how this was reviewed as the best Chinese restaurant (perhaps in Geelong it is).

Tried this place thinking the reviews were quite positive but wouldn't bother going back. The pieces of chicken and pork were so small it seemed like there was more batter than meat. The food tasted okay, the restaurant was clean and it was nice being able to watch the food being prepared, although I like to see people wearing gloves when they are handling food that I'm going to eat. I have tasted more flavorsome Chinese food elsewhere. The prices were reasonable but perhaps my expectations were a bit high.  On the positive side, the service was pleasant, prompt and friendly.

Annoyed and frustrated. Lots of great reviews for this place just make sure you don't order from the 'Western' Chinese menu, nice fresh veggies aside the sauce was very average. The table next to us had wonderful looking and smelling food that I couldn't find anywhere on the menu. It wasn't until after that I found out about the authentic Chinese menu, which I am still not sure if I will go back for.

Delicious, cheap dinner and friendly to kids. We dined here tonight with our 18 month old. Staff were really friendly and accomodating to our wriggly toddler. Any place that is welcoming to small kids gets a big tick from us!!<br/>We shared honey chicken, fried rice, beef in black bean and their home made dim sum. All delicious! The honey chicken was amazing (but good to share as it is quite sweet). Ingredients we're obviously really fresh , service was fast and friendly - we were really impressed and will be back!

Had this place recommended to me by a Chinese work colleague, who said it was the only place in Geelong to get proper Chinese food. We asked and ordered off the Chinese menu and it did not disappoint. Hands down the best Asian food I have ever had! Cheap, big servings, all fresh, and BYO!<br/>Donna the waitress is fantastic, and will help your order; highly recommend you ask for/order from the Chinese menu rather than the western Chinese menu. <br/>Will be back!

Super fresh ingredients, orders prepared right in front of you, extremely generous portions, and increadibly reasonably priced food. Casual relaxed dining, and quick take away. 10/10

Local fussy eater. ALWAYS friendly. Food is fresh, no dodgy cuts of meat, and extremely resonable. A hidden gem in Geelong
Hayley
Great night. Great for a big meal at a great price. cheap drinks and super friendly staff with quick service.

Really reasonable price, fresh ingredients. Got the sweet and sour crispy beef and curried chicken. The meat was cooked up fresh in front of us and big portions
Rachel
Best Chinese we have found in Geelong. Hands down. Loved the honey chicken, and sweet and sour pork.

Great fried ice cream and honey chicken!. If they knew a thing or two about marketing, they should have a HUGE photo of their awesome, awesome fried ice cream on the windows. <br/><br/>Also try their honey chicken! It's awesome.
