The food’s very tasty, prompt service and good prices. Highly recommend
A restaurant with an unassuming presence but as we entered, we realized that it was crowded.
We were also pleased to see a lot of Vietnamese customers eating here.
Even though the place was crowded, we were quickly ushered to our seats and a waitress brought us a flask of hot fragrant tea and peanuts. Thereafter, just prior to serving our meals, the condiments comprising of a plate of mint leaves, cut chillies, and huge chunks of lemon was served.
We ordered the Rice Rolls with prawns (2 per serving) as entree which came with its own rich and extravagant sauce.
For our mains, we decided to go with their Beef Horfun Soup (comprising of beef slices and beef balls) and the Chicken Horfun Soup. These had good servings of meat and noodles, and the broth was delicious and of refreshing aroma after adding the accompanying condiments of sliced chillies, the mint leaves and the squeezed lemon.
For dessert, we ordered the mixed 3 bean drink and the avocado shake - truly thirst quenchers!
I complimented the owner, who was also busy attending to customers, and one of the waitresses, about the wonderful meal and service and mentioned that I would definitely return again soon!
Love this place with a passion. Cheap prices, great tasting food and good serving sizes! What more can one ask for! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and nothing that I can really fault
If I could give a higher rating I would!
Look at the condiments, so good
Staff were so professional and friendly. I mean All of them!
Oh..and the Pho was the best I have had in Perth, and I have had a lot.
Worth follow-up visits?
Is Perth summer hot?
(Yes yes yes)
Went here on Saturday for lunch with my husband. Its a small, clean, cool restaurant. We ordered the stuffed chicken wings for entree $8.00 for 2, I ordered the Pho Tai $10.00 and my husband ordered the Pho Bo Vien $10.00. The soups came out first with the wings following about 5 minutes later. The wings were hot, crispy and totally delicious. My husband really enjoyed his Pho (this is the first time he has ever had it) but thought there could be more meat balls in it. I quite enjoyed my Pho, it was fresh and clean tasting with a really generous serve of mint, sprouts, Thai basil and chillies on the side. I was really hoping for more star anise in the broth and I think there should be more beef. The staff were friendly and it was very busy with people waiting in line for a table. Will definitely come back.
I think this is the best place in Western Australia for Pho besides my mum’s house. They serve pandan flavoured tea with the meals and I love the tea. I can’t seem to find it at the Asian grocery.
This place reminds me so much of a typical asian noodle house back home. Had the combination noodle soup, the mrs hd the seafood lemongrass stir fry with fried rice. The noodle was not the best, but the soup is really nice, sweet kind of savoury flavour, the free hot tea taste unique and nice.
Fantastic food and super affordable 😃 regularly eat here for a cheap date night, $30 for 2 people including an entree! Staff are great and the food is so fresh and tasty
Came here for lunch today. This is actually my 2nd visit. I like that they serve peanuts and that there is always a flask of tea for you and they are free. The tea has a unique taste, very soothing and has a very pleasant aroma to it. I found out that it is a combination of 4 types of leaves/flowers that gives it its unique taste, not just plain old jasmine or chrysanthemum. And it comes in a vacuum flask meaning the tea is always warm when poured and that is important when it comes to drinking tea. I know that it is not how teas are normally served but then I do not see this anywhere else that I have been to. I've only ordered the raw beef pho. I really like the dish. Lots of noodles though I would have preferred more beef as well. Good service from the staff and friendly as well.
Best Vietnamese in Perth, We used to live close by, now we live about 20 mins away and still make the trip at least once a fortnight. Get the Pho! Its to die for. The people are friendly, food is served quickly. Its cash only as well.
Like most reviewers, quality Vietnamese food at an honest price.
I had the broken rice with pork chop - rice perfectly cooked, flavourful basting on the pork.
Beef pho tasted authentic with generous portion.
You would not be disappointed. Please note the seating area is small thus one might wait awhile at peak times.
My regular Vietnamese food place nowadays! My fave all time place for bun Bo hue.... Add the chilli according to how hot you want it. Fast delivery and full of flavours. Only problem is it always close so early 😅
Quality reasonably priced Vietnamese food. Friendly table service. Gets quite busy and the restaurant has many tables even though isn’t that large. This place does awesome pho and fresh spring rolls.
Very palatable food at very reasonable price. The generous complimentary serving of peanuts and tea are also very delicious.
Would definitely return.
Cheap. Big Portions. Delicious. Authentic. Bun Bo Hue. What more could you want?
I usually get allergic reactions when seafood isn't fresh and I always order the Bun Bo Hue with Seafood and never had any problems as prawns are Certified Fresh.
Great place to get a simple quick and cheap carb feed! Upon arrival the waitress served me a small bowl of peanuts and tea. I ordered bun bo hue and it was served within minutes! Large portion and very tasty as well. Also very generous with the fresh herbs and bean sprouts.
Good quality, and authentic Vietnamese food, but it did not wow me.
The decor is typical of all good cheap and cheerful Asian restaurants, they let the food speak for itself.
Fast, friendly, and you can see why it's so popular with the locals. You won't be disappointed.
Trang's has one of the best pho & bun bo hue in perth. They have very authentic flavours in their food. Around Lunch time it can get quite busy and the place is small so it'll be abit of a wait or sometimes they'll place you next to a stranger but thats the only negative.
Easily the best place to get pho! Its cheap for the meals you get. I don't get to come here a lot as I live south but its so worth it when I do. Also gets busy around lunch time.
I love Trangs in my opinion the best Pho in Perth and even better than Pho in Vietnam. The prices are very cheap too. It is cash only though so bring some of the folding stuff.
A great local Vietnamese restaurant, which is why it's very popular and busy, at least that's what it was like both times that we've been now. Service was good and the food was yum. Quick, cheap, filling. A new favourite around that area.
Best Vietnamese food. I've had the pork noodle dish with egg noodle and I order it dry not soup form. It's delicious. The spicy beef and pork soup is nice to 👏🏼
Sampled most of the Vietnamese in the area and I have found this restaurant to be my favorite. Pretty cheap, good sized portions and tasty..
A nice meal, promptly served at a great price. Portions were good however flavour was more standard than spectacular. The pho was definitely the high light of the meal. Rice paper rolls were also pretty good but not the best I have tried. Fried rice was pretty bland but for the price.. Who cares!
Bun is so yum, spring roll yum! Go after 12, so busy in lunch time. Pho, i dont like the coriander, so strong. Put it aside, voilà yummy yummy
Maybe the best Vietnamese in Perth. Not the most ideal location unless you're in the Northern suburbs but definitely worth it.
Amazing staples like Gỏi_cuốn, special house Gỏi_cuốn (with avocado) and deep fried chicken wings they're also insanely well priced across the board to the point where you start to scratch your head upon viewing the bill.
Highly recommend the Pork Chop w/ Broken Rice.
All serves are plentiful and accompanied with friendly service.
Dolba says yes, do yourself a favour.
Amazing food and service everytime!! Love the beef stir fry with egg noodles. My partner gets the same raw beef soup with a load of load of fresh vege and herbs also raves on about the traditional coffee.
My family live up here and they always take me here when I visit. Simple interior is misleading until they serve your food - I don't think I have ever had pho that tasted so fresh and without preservatives. I know when there are preservatives and MSG in my food because I usually get bad tummy aches later on - but never from eating here. That's how I know everything is fresh!
Beautiful food, cheap. Ordered the meat ball pho is beautiful. Got complimentary tea with peanuts plenty vegie too. Will come back again later.
Great food at fantastic value, friendly and polite service. Complimentary peanuts and tea is a nice touch! Will return to try other dishes :)
Located in what is pretty much the Little Vietnam of Perth. Complimentary peanuts was a surprise - how fancy for a little Vietnamese restaurant. Tastiest tea I've had from any Vietnamese restaurant. Yum stuffed chicken wings, 'give me more because i finished it in one sip' avocado shake and a very decent Pho.
So I've been here a cpl of times now & my rating would be between 3.5 - 4.5 depending on what was ordered. 3.5 for the grill pork rice vermicelli which is my standard order usually but the pho is a big 4.5. Absolutely delicious stock! Having lived in Melbourne for 5yrs I know good vietnamese & this is probably the best I've had in Perth. Yum! This place is really cool too - they give you yummy complimentary peanuts to snack on & free tea. It gets really busy so you may not always get in or you may have to wait as it's not a big venue.
I normally never eat because of past experiences. (I find the food has too much MSG here - my body ends up numb and tingly). Buttttttt... I ate again reluctantly because the other shop was closed (Pho Huynh). I really feel so claustrophobic in here and cramming extra chairs to sit on the corner of a table isn't the most comfortable thing... But hey, food is ok and cheap too!
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant. With so many competitions around, they do take the effort to make themselves stand out. Highly recommend. Sadly, its always packed and therefore hard to find a table.
Nice food, prompt and efficient service!! The place is always packed during lunch time, recommended to get there early. When you arrive they will give you small plate of peanuts and hot tea, really loveee the tea that they serve, but unfortunately you cannot buy it anywhere in perth as they brought it from vietnam. When we query about the tea, the lady in the counter was being really nice and gave us a big bag of their tea for us to take home. Definitely recommend this place.
As a frequent visitor of the Banh Mi joint nearby, I had been curious about the Vietnamese restaurants in this little complex. So when the opportunity came to have a casual dinner at one of these places, I jumped at the chance. The friend I was with suggested Trang's because her parents love this place (and they used to own an Asian restaurant). We got there at about 5:45 on a Tuesday afternoon and I was surprised to see that it was already beginning to get busy. Fortunately we got a table quickly and it wasn't long before our orders were put in front of us. I ordered broken rice and my friend, a big bowl of pho. The size of the portions is generous, as most Vietnamese tends to be, and the food is solidly good. I was recently in Ho Chi Minh City and although the food isn't quite the same, the quality of ingredients is really good and the flavours are there. The food is also great value. Make sure you get here early because by 6:30pm the place was packed and there were people waiting outside.
Trang's is the best pho restaurant within the Marangaroo block hands down. I think it's also slightly cheaper then the other restaurants. They do the best rice paper rolls and the best pork chop broken rice and the waiters are friendly.
More Than Nourishment
+3.5
I can't believe how busy this place was considering there were two other Vietnamese restaurants within super close walking distance. The complimentary tea (with a hint of pandan), peanuts and cut up slices of oranges (at the end of the meal) was a nice touch. The stuffed chicken wings were not bad but nothing amazing. The pho was much better than the hu tieu, although it wasn't bad but just have had better. The balance between sweet and savoury was not quite right. They seem to do better with soups rather than dry noodles dishes as the small bowl of broth that came on the side of the hu tieu was really tasty. It was good but not worth the drive from our place. I would rather go to the Vietnamese place at Honeywell which is a lot closer and more generous with their serving sizes.
Trang's have one of the better pho offerings in Perth that I've tried. Their servings are massive, and the broth is fabulous - really layered in flavour. I always order the raw beef pho there which has tender strips of meat. The stuffed chicken wings aren't as strong as the noodles which is a little disappointing but their fried spring rolls are tasty - full of mushroom and other great ingredients.
The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly. I really like their wheat based tea which is provided at the start with compliments - and with a bowl of salted peanuts to snack on. It's these little touches combined with their yummy food that has me coming back time and time again.
The soup for the pho here is great, very tasty. Hubby thinks the meatballs are a little strange and the ratio of meat to noodles isn't great, it needed more meat. I had my usual Phnom Penh noodles, yummy soup as well! We are going through a bit of a viet phase, but this place ranks up there for viet food in perth.

After trying over 10 different pho places in Perth, Trang's is my favourite for beef pho.
Broth is flavoursome and has great depth, good cuts of beef and generous serving sizes.
Service is quick and efficient like most Vietnamese places.
Definitely worth a visit if you love your pho.
Cheap and cheerful. Always good, cheap and tasty.
Good value. This place does really good pho. Really doesn't skimp on the herbs and extras to give the meal an extra kick. Had the pho dac biet, lots of pho, lots of meat, lots of greens and not too oily. Massive portions, well priced. The staff were swept off their feet, yet still had time to give us personal service. Hope they never change, will be spreading the word for sure!
The dishes here are very delicious, specially PHO DAC BIET. I long to come back eating here.
Awesome Restaurant. Went for lunch today and had the rice vermicelli with grilled pork and spring rolls - delicious! My partner had the chicken pho which was also really awesome, the chicken looked fresh in thick slices. The service was great, both waiters were attentive and friendly. Overall everything was great and I can't wait to return.

Combination Broken Rice. Really great a tad smal but delicious
I like the pork chops and noodles very much
Great Vietnamese food. We like the food here and so does my elderly father in law. The serving sizes are really good, along with the choice of dishes. The dishes are always fresh and the prices are great. They put out complimentary peanuts and tea, which is nice. They also have on tables, complimentary pickled chillies & onions, which is great with some dishes. The service is always friendly and helpful. Trangs is definitely a favourite location for Vietnamese food.
Wow great food. After changing hands a few times it finally looks like it is in great hands. Come and enjoy the hospitality and cheap great food
Fantastic soups, stuffed wings were super fresh. Would certainly recommend!!
YUM tasty noodle soups :)
Amazing Pho. Had a raw and cooked beef pho here and it was amazing !!. Fresh ingredients used and the durian milkshake is the best I have had anywhere. Lovely clean restaurant too.
Arrived for lunch with my mum, we were seated quickly and our food arrived fast. Food was good but mum (who cooks Vietnamese food most days) said she could taste a difference in the pho (isn't as good as before) - must be the new owners.
This place is superior to any restaurant in this area. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff with a table and some tea.
The place is always packed with a cross section of the community from business to casual to the vietnamese locals. I found the decor modern and funky, the place clean and staff well dressed.
Most importantly the food was fantastic. My favourite vietnamese dish is egg noodles with pork and prawn and at trangs it was tasty.
I would definitely encourage you to make the drive from all over perth for this gem.
Yes the food is the same & still tastes great. Have even kept the same bored unexcited waiter so customers still feel welcome.
Great food and service, same cooks as old Kims Vietnamese. Old Kims Vietnamese with the same cooks, only new owners. Spoke to Trang and John who are awesome and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back.
