Review Newpark Bar And Bistro - Girrawheen

First time visit, went to the Sports Bar, not the Bistro. Quiet on this Thursday, it's clean. Neat and aside from a lack of Pool Tables, looks like the quintessential Aussie Bar. The Music was generic Pub Rock, not loud enough to intrude on conversations, but loud enough to hear the lyrics. Lunch was Fish & Chips for $26. Decent value for what you get. The Fish was advertised as Barramundi and though it's been a while, I don't think they lied. One portion, a decent size. Battered nicely and cooked properly. Very good. The Chips were plentiful and well cooked, so high marks there. The accompanying Salad was a let down. Gourmet Lettuce and Cucumber slices. Minimal Red Onion and no Tomatoes that I could find. The dressing was....less than good. Kinda reminded me of Green slime, but this wouldn't be the only Pub in Australia that fell flat on that. A good first visit. Next time, I'll try the Bistro.

A good little suburban drinking and eating place. The Sports Bar has enough atmosphere to savour. The Bistro needs a little work. The Food is the same, which is great. But it's just lacking a little something. Perhaps it could be as simple as some better Furniture. Still, worth a visit. Oh but.....no cooked food Monday or Tuesday. Which is disappointing.

The quiz was good, the staff were good. However I feel it is let down by the food quality. My brother got a pizza and it was very sloppy. I got a chicken fettuccine and found it watery, bland and tasted as if it was microwaved.

First timers to this establishment and at first was a bit apprehensive as my son and I walked into the wrong bar (our mistake) which had just been showing the derby and it was pretty noisy, however we were shown the dining area and the staff member on duty (sorry I didn't get your name) couldn't have been friendlier and really made us feel welcome. The food was fresh and delicious I had the seafood plate and it was cooked extremely well, the prawns well seasoned, the calamari was not chewy at all and the fish was flakey. My son a bit of a burger fanatic and he thoroughly enjoyed his angus beef burger and his chips. Hidden wee gem and we will definitely be back!!

What a few find in Perth. This is a Great venue and.the food is amazing!!! Great value for the price. I think they only open the visitor from Wednesday night, but is amazing specials. I had the chicken carbonara ($11.90 special) and a Caesar salad ($12). Couldn't eat it all!! Servings are big!!! Seafood plate for is incredible. The pork belly has to be one of the best I have ever had as well. Do yourselves a favour and get there soon!!!!

Last night was the 3rd time we have eaten dinner here. Always excellent quality food and at awesome prices you will never be disappointed. Props to the chef :) I have tried the fish and chips, the tbone steak and the burger, all have been yummy and huge servings.

Beautiful way to spend Mother's Day greeted with a glass of champagne , excellent service friendly staff . Lovely food great prices and finished off with a complimentary chocolate . Would Definately return and recommend people. I had chicken fettuccini and ordered bruschetta extremely big . Haven't been to the girrawheen tavern for 25 years as live in Melbourne now 😄

Wow!!! What an awesome meal I just had. Ordered the surf and turf and omg it was amazing!! Highly recommend to anyone. The service was great. Relaxed and comfortable environment. Will definitely be back!!

We ordered 2 Parmas tonight and they were the worst we have ever had. Extremely dry chicken, no sauce and burnt cheese.

The food was lovely. The Barstaff were very friendly the service was good. We've had a meal there before very yummy.

We just had a T/bone steak chips and salad for $14.90 , steak was so tender well cooked .Tavern was full which tells you the food is good and price is right .Wayne and Janice Rowe

Such a great local pub! The staff a really friendly and an atmosphere to match. The food is delicious with super generous portions. There are daily meal specials and $11.90 lunch specials. Pizza and pint or burger and pint for only $20. A must if you're in the area and fancy a cheap and cheery meal.

Started off fine but the service is dropping off rapidly. No children allowed in the front bar area due to the TAB laws is appalling as the there are no signs stating this requirement and the area could be taped off as well. The restaurant is OKish but has no atmosphere and the food portions are dropping off as well.Sorry but very disappointing.

Certainly good value. Hearty tasty pub style food and worth supporting by locals. The menu is well presented and well priced for the clientele it is intended for hence the excellent rating.

This place is my local - great big serves , plenty of variety so theres something for everyone. Can't believe theres only one man in the kitchen! props to him

Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. The only trouble with this place is, it's all so good it takes forever to decide. I loved the chicken parma, but now I lean towards the seafood plate. It consists of a <br/>piece of fish, a bowl of mussels, a heap of lemon pepper squid, prawns, crab sticks, chips and salad. What a mammoth serving. My husband can't go past the steak and mushrooms. Super soft and cooked to perfection. Can't go past it for quality, price and the friendly locals. Donna.

Thursday dinner. Just enjoyed a spagettti bolognaise, spagetti marinara and the beef pie. Yumm. Service was friendly, prompt and good, great meals from the local.

Best food in Perth !!!. Forget about a trip to Perth or Northbridge for a 5 star feed! Go and treat your family to a top class feed in a clean, happy environment, with the sort of food our people deserve in a suburban area, I've eaten in all these places from freo up north and this is a diamond in the rough, not to mention the fast and proffessional service, I'm not joking best pub food in Perth ! The newpark tavern/ girrawheen best in perth. Amazing :) just had the ribs extremely good food and value for money . i had the ribs they were fall off the bone with a sauce that made your mouth water.<br/>didn't know I was so hungry till I started eating :)<br/>13/10

Clean, well priced,delicious food and kid friendly. A friend recomended this hotel to me and at first I thought :what in Girrawheen, well I,m glad I took her advise, the dining room is amazing not over the top but clean and fresh, the meals were as described to me by my friend,out of this world.<br/>This place is hidded away and thats a good thing ,not big crowds of people and rushed oeders.<br/>I,II give this little gem a 10 out of 10.Dont be put off by location.

Best Kept Secret in WA. Have been to this little pub a few times now, its spotless and really comfortable but the best thing about this pub is the food , excellent meals and at quite a resonable price ,would recomend to anyone.A1 +

Unpretentious and awesome food. Great local pub with traditional pub meal menu as well as some gourmet dishes...value for money - amazing deep fried camembert! Ribs were incredible too.
