Easily one of the best phos i’ve ever had, will definitely recommend others to try the beef combi pho. Service was meh but eh, i was just there for the food really
We usually go to the branches in Northbridge but sometimes we go to this branch for easier parking. Food is just as good. Had the bun cha gio and the duck noodle soup. Portions were huge. They gave 5 large spring rolls and lots of salad with the vermicelli. Friend said the duck was not as tender/soft and yummy as compared to the past.
Great Vietnamese food place, you highly likely won't enjoy it if you are new to this type of food. But I just love their pho, stew beef and stuffed chicken wings. Also, they give free prawn crackers.
I was looking for the Viet Long restaurant in the complex but couldn't find it, and ended up choosing this place.
I loved my broken rice pork chop!!! The pork was well marinated and not tough tough at all.
My friend's beef noodle soup was not as spicy as she'd expected but the beef was so tender she said.
My husband's seafood noodle soup broth was amazing and so flavoursome though a tad salty.
We order the Vietnamese pancakes as well- a bit too oily for my liking, the filling was very disappointing too, dried shrimp and pork didn't taste very good and too much bean sprouts!
Overall, nice main meal but disappointing pancakes.
We eat here every second week. We travel out to Girawheen, just for this place. It's fast & friendly service, is brilliant. Every time ✅. Big menu & so far, everything we have tried, is always tasty 😋. Very good cafe sua da. ( ice coffee )
The Brisbane St location definitely has the most flavoursome fare but it's quite gritty, and the other locations are more polished and presentable. This serves up brilliant banh xeo. Banh xeo is a savoury fluffy-fried pancake stuffed with sprouts, prawn and pork. You tear it and pair it with greens and dipping sauce. The Pho is good and they offer some larger style share meals for rice paper rolls and hotpot.
Service was fast and friendly here. Food was pretty on par with the other branches in Perth. I had the Banh Xeo and Crispy Chicken egg noodles. The Banh Xeo was yum - authentic as it gets in Perth, filling was juicy, pancake shell was crisp but soft at the same time. The flavours balanced well, but wish there was a bit more shrimp in there. The egg noodles was good, plenty of flavour. Chicken was crispy but the meat was too dry, lucky there was some soup to help it down. Overall, some good items but wouldn't say it's the best option especially in the Girraween area given how many other Vietnamese restaurants are around. It's name helps it's reputation.
I like the atmosphere and service. Prawn crackers were served when you arrived and you help yourself to the tea. I brought my little one and they immediately gave me a kids bowl and spoon without me asking for it. 👍🏼 we had the beef pho noodles and broken rice with pork chop. Both good.
I have been to Tra Vinh in Northbridge many times and Love the food there. This time I tried the Girrawheen location. As soon as you sit down they give you a basket of prawn crackers which was very nice of them and it tasted so good. I ordered Seafood Hu Tieu noodles which they were very generous with the noodles and the meat, also tasted good. What i like about Tra Vinh is their food is very authentic vietnamese ! 👍🏻
Decided to try tra vinh instead of our usual favourite, Trang's. They have a large menu with some items not seen at any other Vietnamese restaurants in Perth. They give you prawn crackers as soon as you sit down. Tea is lightly flavored, not as full flavoured as Trang's. The vermicelli with grilled pork and rice paper was delicious, roll yourself and dip in either a peanut or Nuoc cham. Broken rice ingredients were fresh and delicious.
Had the rolls and steam boat.
The steam boat was great. Full of fish and vegetables. More noodles would have been better and a reduction of msg.
Rolls were a bit thin.
Nice place, lots of competition around the area. Pho though is better next door
Been going to the Northbridge one for ages but only discovered this branch recently. .I gotta say I prefer it. LOVE the rice vermicelli with vege spring rolls (really yummo springies) & the rice paper rolls with sugar cane prawns are really good too aswell as the delicious stuffed chicken wings😍. My brother has ordered a cpl yummy things too including the huge pancake served with a big platter of fresh herbs. I think this place is great & reminds me of authentic vietnamese places in Melbourne.. I'll add photos next time, make the effort to check out this little group of vietnamese shops..it's worth the drive!
I love their noodles and pork chop and broken rice. I've been to quite few Vietnamese restaurants in Perth but this is one of the best. I don't like their stir fry dishes very much but you can't go too wrong with their noodles. Service is good and the premises is clean. For budget Vietnamese, I recommend this place.
Came here during a work lunch break with a couple of colleagues, hoping to introduce them to the little Vietnam in Girrawheen. We were hoping to go to Pho Huynh but it was full so we came to Tra Vinh which was also busy, but there were a couple of tables free. Service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are good. I ordered Bo Lui Banh Hoi which I've only had once before and that was in Vietnam. The version here at Tra Vinh is beautifully fresh, plentiful and the beef was really delicious. I also had a lychee jelly drink which wasn't particularly spectacular. But overall, I recommend this place.
Totally different experience to previous reviews. We found the quality of food excellent. Waited for our fourth visit to ensure consistency. Service is very good. We have travelled to Vietnam twice and Cambodia as well. The comment about cramped tables is a westernised view. The atmosphere was reminiscent of S.E. Asia and a big favourite in Hanoi Pho 10.Wish it opened early for breakfast before work
Tra Vinh is just so amazingly good. So cheap, so delicious, so varied and so healthy too. Food is usually made quite quickly, and there is free tea.
You must try the crab claw. I REQUIRE THAT YOU TRY THE CRAB CLAW.
This place feels very Vietnamese! Delicious food, generous portions (they will fill you up guaranteed!), authentic atmosphere. They did take a while to prepare our order and they only brought one order forgetting about another one (there were two of us). However, we are still happy with our experience there and we'll definitely return!
Best Vietnamese restaurant in wa hands down. Very affordable and comes with huge portions and tastes great! My family has been coming here for years and never let us down. I live in East Vic Park now and still trek it to Girrawheen to eat here. The only fault I do have is it gets really hot when lots of people is in and the restaurant could look a bit nicer, however every thing else is amazing.
Delicious authentic vietnamese food. The bun rieu is the best ive had in Perth. It doesnt have such a strong prawn paste smell. Pho is good. Service is prompt. Will come again.
Good food, good prices.
My wife and I went there for dinner. We ordered a Tra Vinh Special Noodles (Dry) and a Vietnamese Broken Rice. Each plate was only about 11 dollars. The service was very fast as well

We had Van Xeo it is extremely delicious ! It was bit of sweet, savoury and meaty as well. This was the best. Of course broken rice and hofun soup is good as always.
Awesome, cheap, very busy and delicious food in this little Vietnamese noodle shop/resturant which is tucked away just off a main road. A must if you are a foodie or love asian food or noodles or Vietnamese food one of the places to visit NOR. Generous big serves for the noodle (soup/broth style dishes) with generous serving of meats or seafood.
