Review Dos Senoritas - Gladesville

My partner and I went there for lunch this afternoon. Upon on our arrival. We were greeted with friendly services. And some delicious corn chips with a mild spicy dip on the house. The atmosphere had that beautiful Mexican vibe when you come in. The meals that we ordered were delicious and quite filling. Overall, we enjoyed the whole experience. It makes you take back to Mexico. And definitely will come back again and highly recommended. Thank you Domingo. We will come back again very soonšŸ˜Š

Delicious, authentic and filling Mexican food! Very hearty and the space is very cool. Would come back to try the other menu items. Free corn chips and dip upon arrival.

Authentic Mexican food! We enjoyed our meals that was fresh and delicious. The spice was just right and the meat was so tender and juicy. Great atmosphere and service with smiles!

I usually have a pretty good time here, but I think it depends on what you order. I recommend the 3 taco deal, with the soft corn tortilla (street style taco). I donā€™t really like the rice and beans they serve with the dishes but the tacos are šŸ’Æ

Yikes, The worst service imaginable!!! I hope its just a case of 'out of practice' because of lockdown. Wouldn't go back though. Went with the family, waiting for 35 minutes to order a drink..another hour for mains! Not family friendly at all. Thank God for margaritas!! Food was OK. Ordered the guacamole and it came with a small handful of chips. Such a shame, love Mexican food

We ordered from DoorDash and was pretty disappointed with the food. The tacos were ok - we had fish, steak and chicken. The steak one was my fave. However the ground beef burrito was almost inedible. The sauce on top was quite unpleasant and the ingredients was extremely heavy. The ground beef was quite dry and didnā€™t have the typical tangy flavours you get from Mexican food.

The best place ever. I love the chips and the Jarritos! The food is faster than KFC! We were so happy about!
JT
Some of the most delicious tacos Iā€™ve ever had! Bit pricey but well worth it!
Aimee.
I ordered food from here for delivery and I was pleasantly surprised. The portions are huge and we couldnā€™t finish the food which is rare. The nachos had a generous amount of toppings. The chicken burrito was filled with flavour and I loved how it came with rice on the side.

4.5/5

It gets busy quickly on weekend lunch time. There are many options, not just tacos and burritos.
Weā€™ve got the cheesy burrito and an enchilada. Corn chips were on the house once you ordered.
I was amazed by the HUMONGUS portion. I could not finish everything, which is rare for me, especially since I just came from the gym. The cheesy chicken burrito is rich and salty. Was delicious. Beans and guac were done well too.
The boyfriend absolutely loved his beef enchiladas, but i thought was overly salty. Only downside is everything on the plate wws a little soggy/saucy, would be nice if theres more texture.
I do think il come again for other food.

Very disappointing! Weā€™d heard it was good but that was not our experience last night.Ā
We ordered the Carne asada and the Baja shrimp salad. The carne asada was unevenly cooked with most of the meat ā€œblueā€ and inedible. The Baja shrimp salad was flavourless and when asked about the ingredients which differed from the menu we barely got a response from the wait staff. Ā
Service may have been better if the staff had more than basic English and bothered to come to our table occasionally.Ā
They did take the carne asada cost off the bill which is why I gave 2 stars.

I love love love this place. Their decor, service, their drinks, their food tastes amazing and comes in huge serving sizes. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great Mexican in the area.

I have been a long term customer of Dos Senoritas. I remember when they were located in this little restaurant on Victoria rd in Gladesville. They're now around the corner in a much bigger location. Matt and I dine early so we easily get a table.Ā . If you head to Dos Senoritas from 6:30 or 7 onwards on a weekend it can get very busy and it will be hard to get a table. I sit in the back area where it's an outdoor area with heaters although I can see a make-shift shelter. I like all the art work on the walls.

Great experience at Dos Senoritas! Amazing Mexican food and great service!
Had the nachos, tacos and tamales...all of which are highly recommended.
Will definitely be back

we went as walk in on a weekend, and yes they weā€™re full and they accomodated us but only gave us an hour to dine :( we agreed as we are craving for mexican food. enchilladas are yum! the soft tacos (3pcs) are great too. prices are expensive at $23 per dish but servings are huge. advise those interested to visit the place to book in to get a table.

I love the vibe at this place. As soon as you walk through the door past the table of sombreros it feels like a party. It has a small cafe style dining then an extended area out the back with a metal roof and windows like you are inside a zoo. The food is fantastic here, I really like it. Feels as authentic as you can get in Gladesville/Sydney. Comes along with the cost though. The service is not the best, Iā€™ve had a lot of mixed orders, misunderstanding, missed orders.
Cathy
Tasty authentic tacos and lovely service. Drinks and desserts were yum, unique and true to Mexican couisine. Huge portions as well ended up having take aways because we were all full. Will come back again šŸ˜Š

Very disappointing. We were waiting for more than 15 minutes to order drinks and food. In the meantime one staff was cleaning the menus, staring blankly at us while three other staff members had a lovely chat behind the bar.
How ever the food was in less than 5 minutes at our table, which is a bit concerning and one starts to wonder.
We ordered the shrimp salad which turned out to be 4 prawns swimming in a hot tomato sauce spiced with something spicy. No sign of onions, coriander or lime.
And since when gets ceviche served hot anyway? Surrounded was that sad looking bowl with a load of stale tacos.
The main were fajitas. Rice, three shredded leaves of some salad, a table spoon of bland back beans, cocked and not fried chicken and beef bits, some guacamole and a heap of sour cream were heaved on a plate, the presentation was shocking.
No flavours whatsoever. Again, no coriander or lime - both are the essentials to every Mexican dish.
We got more stale tacos though.
To drink I had a michelada, beer with lime juice, since there were no trace of lime to be seen I think it was lemon which is fine but it would have been nice if it would have been served on ice and with more than 3 grains of salt on the rim of the glass - as you get it in Mexico.
There was truly not much Mexican in that restaurant if you donā€™t count the sombreros on the wall.
For a substantial flavoursome Spanish meal from a varied menu with delicious cocktails Dos Senoritas delivers. It has a great vibe and is certainly good for families. When we arrived we had a tasty serving of a spicy dip which had a great bite and an accompaniment of tortilla chips. It certainly got our appetites going!

The service here was friendly and warm. It was a bit noisy inside so we asked to sit outside where the atmosphere was more relaxed. The food came out promptly and were massive portions! Food was delicious and spicy! Overall a bit on the pricier side but the portions make up for it.
WF
Huge portions of food. I went with a group of 8 people and no one could finish their meal. The beef in the burrito I had was too salty though. Otherwise the it was not too bad.

The service was subpar. Admittedly, the place was packed, but it was hard to get their attention to even order our food. The ambience was very loud at this place. Can't hear conversation even at your own table.

I might go back but only takeaway.

Great Mexican food! Portion sizes were huge.
We ordered the Baja shrimp salad and Fajita combo. We were stuffed! Definitely a good local restaurant and better than other Mexican restaurants in the city. Definitely would go back. Service is standard but food is fantastic!
Nick X Thomson
Food was good, but service was a bit of a let down. Waited a long time to be seen after being seated, despite the quietness of the venue. Empty glasses and drinks werenā€™t cleared, even when new drinks were delivered, leaving the table very cluttered. We had to chase down staff in order to place follow up drink orders.

Why is good Mexican food so hard to find in sydney! Unfortunately this place fell short of amazing. It was still nice food, but just not great. It is also a massive family vibe with lots of young children running around, so that could be worth noting. We ordered a pork burrito and taco selection. It was tasty but kind of meh. I am disappointed because this place has such good ratings, but the food is average.
Chandni Thakur
The food is not worth the money! Paid $175 and now looking for another place to eat good food. The food was unpleasant to look at and was just not tasty. The wait staff didnā€™t know what they were doing.

Mexican food is so flavoursome and beautiful this was complete injustice with the cuisine.
Xlittlecupcake
When you canā€™t decide what to get, por que no los dos? Try the fish tacos and cheesy burrito (if youā€™re super hungry). Serving sizes are huge, bring a friend (or 5)

I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and California. This is not authentic Mexican food - this is aussie-fied Mexican.

Now that Iā€™ve got that out of the way: service is atrocious, ordered meals were incorrect, cheese in quesadilla had not melted, they didnā€™t have tacquitos available, the horchata was watery...

There are three different types of tacos - street, tex mex and gringo. I couldnā€™t tell the difference between any of them. I regularly make corn tortillas at home with masa harina and a tortilla press. I couldnā€™t even tell which one was supposed to be the street (corn) tortilla out of the three supplied.

I really donā€™t even know why I bothered with this place. I could almost tell from the pics that I wasnā€™t going to enjoy it but I was craving tacquitos. Drove all the way here to find out they didnā€™t even have them so I couldā€™ve just made them at home. Ugh.
Samantha Anand
The service was atrocious, the wait staff were lazing behind the bar and eating their dinner rather than seat us or let even pay the bill. The food was oily and the portions were too big. We are still recovering from how greasy it all was. The worst thing was, I had asked for some chilli sauce, which you'd think wouldn't be a strange request at a Mexican restaurant however, they looked puzzled and charged me an extra $3.00 for a small bowl of sauce!! never going here again!

Dis senioritas is a lifesaver. After spending 5 months in the USA it was depressing coming back to Australia and thinking I had said goodbye to my last American-Mexican food. This isn't the kind of Mexican you really find in Mexico but it's the kind of food you find Mexicans cooking and eating in the USA, not because the flavours aren't right, Dos Senioritas has those down, simply because you get a truly Americanised portion size which is fine by me. They have lost a little of the original charm from the old location but they make up for it with their ability to accomodate bigger groups.
Gillydoesfood
Hands down the most authentic Mexican food we've ever had. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with some corn chips and salsa. We ordered the guacamole which came with corn chips (which was heavenly), the street style tacos (1 marinated steak, 1 fish & shrimp and 1 chicken) and the chimichanga. The tacos were flavoursome and tasty - our favourite was definitely the fish and shrimp taco. The chimichanga was jam packed full of flavour, we had 1 chimichanga between us and still couldn't finish it. The food servings are definitely generous.Ā

The restaurant itself has a great ambience, and is well decorated with wall murals and flags. The service was fast as we received our food in no time. Definitely looking forward to returning and trying out other items on the menu!
Leon
I have not tried many Mexican food but Dos Senoritaa certainly tick all the boxes what good food institutions should be. The tacos were awesome! Flavourful, juicy and appetizing, the tacos are heavenly combinations between the freshly grilled/fried chicken/fish/Prawn and sauces. The quesadilla was crispy on the outside and delectable on the inside. What's more, you get free salsa and chips while waiting for your food.

We got taken to Dos Senoritas by a Mexican friend from from the same region of Mexico as the chef of the restaurant. He loved the food and so did we. Carne Asada, Mole, great soft corn tacos. Everything we had was extremely good and we washed it all down with Mexican beers and Margaritas. Forget about chain store mexican and give this place a try.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
Curious, we popped into Dos Senoritos to check it out. The restaurant has plenty of character and is Mexican themed throughout with wall murals, maps of Mexico and sombreros.

The serving sizes looked massive with the burritos filling the entire surface area of a large dinner plate; we had planned on having dinner elsewhere so only ordered guacamole and corn chips and desserts to try (churros and flan).

Friendly service and fun food.
Manz
We came for a Friday lunch, so the place was pretty much deserted, but when they turn the music on, you can just imagine the place full of people at night having a great time. Massive serving size for all the food, no one in our group was able to finish their meal. The food quality was generally good, I had the Taco Salad with steak, which was served in a giant fried flour tortilla bowl. The bowl itself was a little bit oily to eat, but the rest of the salad had great flavours and different textures. Overall there are probably better Mexican food in town, but everyone enjoyed their food, and had a good time. A good place to come for dinner with the family.
Randomness_of_existence
Do you want the taste of some authentic Mexican food? This is the place! I think I've found my new favourite Mexican joint. The interiors make for a fun night out combined with the welcoming staff.

Upon entering we were treated to some corn chips and salsa. I ordered the shredded chicken and the beef tacos, it came with a side of rice, beans and shredded lettuce. My friend ordered a burrito and it was massive!! It was half the size of the plate, also came with the sides. The portions are definitely very generous here.

It was quiet when we came during the weekday. I've been told that it gets quite busy during the weekends though. The restaurant had a family vibe with a lot of regular customers who were friendly with the staff. Regular customers are a definite good sign to a good restaurants.

Very good restaurant, authentic and yummy food. Service can be a bit slack sometimes but most of the time it is very helpful and friendly. Meals are huge so you're safe only ordering one thing here, everything is also very cheap.

Visited this restaurant last night, know it is very busy so made a booking. On arrival, stood at the door for 5 minutes while four different waitress' walked past, looked at us and ignored us. Finally were greeted and then sat down at our 'table' - squished into two stools at the bar, a spot so small we could not even pull our seats into the table and had to stand up each time someone wanted to walk past.

Feeling very squashed we told the waitress we would prefer to change to takeaway as we were uncomfortable. No effort was made to move us to another table, even though there were at least 5-7 tables free around us. After waiting for our meals we decided to stay and eat in the restaurant. The overall service was extremely poor. Other tables came without bookings and were able to be seated at tables, while we were still squished at the bar. Even when we left the vacant tables remained vacant.

Only positive was the good food with huge serves. Have also visited the dos seƱoritas at crows nest - excellent food and service there so will stick to that location. Very unimpressed with this location and won't be returning.

Visted Dos Senoritas yesterday for a birthday lunch for Rosalie Hooper. We were not disappointed.

The atmosphere and decor was very Mexican, lots of flags, maps and trinkets as well Mexican music playing. Very cool.

The serving size of the food was huge! We ordered the Guacamole and Nachos to share between our group and the nachos were a meal unto themselves.

I had the Gringo Burrito. An enormous burrito, stuffed with shredded beef, cheese and served with rice, beans, guac and sour cream. Simple and delicious. The beef was well cooked and very flavourful.

Rose had the tacos. You get 3 tacos with your choice from 6 fillings, as well rice and beans. The corn tortillas were delicious, as were the fillings she chose - charbroiled chicken, marinated steak and ground beef.

I also tried Horchata for the first time and loved it.

They were very accommodating of our birthday lunch, even playing some happy birthday music and coming out to sing happy birthday senorita.

Will definitely be back!

Authentic Mexican food that's full of flavour and won't leave you hungry. Ambience gives it the feel like you're at a traditional restaurant and the staff are very welcoming.

We had the Shredded beef burrito and the chicken and shrimp fajita plate. Both good portion sizes and comes with beans and Mexican rice.

Looks to get quite busy on the weekend so booking is recommended.

Wow! Felt like I was in Mexico! (Even though I have never been, it's like how I would imagine it) great little restaurant at a really random location. The restaurant looked amazing with all the decoration and the food and service was just great.
We walked in feeling abit loss, this is our first time here and it was quite different to what we were use too but we were greeted and seated and was immediately served water and tortilla chips with a dip. We got the burrito and taco! Tasted great, very flavourful and extremely filling. Will defiantly come back

This place is great ! Went on a Saturday night so it was super busy.
It's loud in there , so don't be expecting a romantic dinner setting , great to catch up with friends and have some drinks
Awesome decor
BYO wine

Food is authentic and servings are huuuuge !
A little mix up with ordering , but I think maybe language barrier might have been at play, reminded me of being in Central America

I had the fish tacos and they were delicious . Get in and try them out

I love Mexican food and this place satisfy our hungry belly. We went there for lunch and had Chicken Quesadilla for starters and the steaks with beans and rice (i forgot the name) and they were delicious.
Would definitely eat here again. Oh and the staffs are very friendly! šŸŒÆšŸŒ®šŸ‘¦šŸ½šŸ‘ØšŸ½šŸ‘©šŸ½

Excellent all-round restaurant! Authentic and flavoursome food served in large portions by the friendly staff, as you dine in its bright and homely ambience. The fiesta begins with the free entree of house-made corn chips and spicy salsa!

The only flaw (being fussy) after having been there several times, is that I find the chicken and beef to be overcooked. Still, if you want great Mexican food, you can't go by without trying Dos Senoritas in Gladesville. One of my life-time favourite dishes is their Seafood Enchilada plate.

Great little restaurant with excellent ambience. Food very good and excellent portions. Well priced. Waitress was a little slow when it came to checking if we needed more drinks during our evening. Couple times needed to prompt her. When it came time to paying I wanted to pay X amount in cash and the remainder on my card. Ladies response was "we don't split bills". She couldn't comprehend that I wasn't splitting the bill.
FoodComa
Massive portions they were! Well and truly a feast to the eyes and flavour bomb to the taste buds! The prices are very low for the quality and amount of food you get and very true to authenticity. The Big Daddy was delicious although do not attempt if you don't have a large appetite or have a plus one or more to share! A deep fried burrito stuffed with black beans, rice, cheese, well seasoned grilled beef, lettuce, onions, sauces and more. This was accompanied by more salads, beans and rice on the side. Heaps of flavour and tender love and care in preparing this. The choice of the 3 tacos was fabulous. I had the fish, minced beef and pulled pork. They were all yummy and I highly recommend the pulled pork one! My favourite. The location was quiet and on main road so will require street parking which wasn't too hard even on a weekend evening. The place was moderate in size, not modern or sassy but definitely cosy and decorated in true Mexican style! Good place for a casual bite with family and friends and maybe some of their great tequila to wash it all down! Service from the waitresses and waiters could of been more polite and attentive, however the owners were lovely. Only let down and annoyance of the night!

This is a lovely restaurant in Gladesville that has a homely feel inside and seems to always be full with the locals. The food is decent with good portion. Customer service is attentive and get the steak!

Mexican! Chimichanga!
Hola AmigosĀ

Cute little place on Victoria rd, Gladesville
.Ā We Generally start with corn chips and salsa which is finished pretty quickly Ā

Then after I get chimichanga, the servings are large and I can never seem to finish it!
Pacifico is a great beer to accompany your meal.

The interior feels authentic. Good food and service

Excellent, authentic, Mexican family restaurant. Huge portions, fantastic flavour, wash it down with one of their high-octane cocktails. The place to go when you're training to gain muscle.
Girlswhofeast
I doubt you'll find better Mexican food than this in Sydney.. And I'm not talking about trendy Cali-mex style Mexican, but the proper authentic stuff. Burritos are the size of your head and everything is super fresh. Their chilli isn't too chilli, and they'll omit it if you don't think you can handle it. All in all, highly recommend.

The last time I came here when they were still at their old location, I did not really enjoy it and I was a little unsure why they had such glowing reviews. I was somewhat underwhelmed at all the food. Fast forward to now, when i visited them at their new location, i felt i needed to go back online and edit my review to reflect my new experience.

Their new location is much better. Spacious and full of life, with a fun atmosphere especially when they have live music playing.

Portions are great for sharing and full of ingredients and flavour. The complimentary corn chips and salsa is appreciated and love ordering the guacamole to go with it. Can't go wrong with corn chips and fresh dips.
Bestest food & great Staff. We were lucky to have lived 10 minutes away from this restaurant. It offered exceptional service, friendly staff and the best Mexican food you would taste outside Mexico! Nachos are to die for and the Spicy Salsa is the yummiest! Always busy so book it in advance...
Jason Yu
Spicy hot tangy and delicious. TLDR: Great atmosphere, staff with rich flavoured foods

Visited this place on a whim. Was definitely worth the drive.
Complimentary bowel of nachoes on arrival with an authentic salsa dip.
The atmosphere of this place was vibrant and it was pretty busy on a Wednesday night.
Great food with great serving sizes (prices weren't super cheap) but it was well worth it.
The spices and herbs just made the whole dish burst into a rainbow of flavours in your mouth.
The vegetables and guacamole were so fresh and juicy.
The wait staff were attentive and friendly.
Was stuffed after the dinner and would definitely visit again.

Moved here from America a couple years ago and have been looking for the best Mexican restaurant that reminds me of back home. Found it!!!! Bold flavor and super tender meat. Expensive but worth it. They give you huge portions and had to take most of it home.

Crazy good. Just go, seriously.

Mexican food at Dos Senoritas! -- The Food --Ā Complimentary tortilla chips The chilli / salsa sauce was slightly spicy but definitely tasty with the crispy tortilla chips Cheese Quesadilla with pork ($15) Ā -- with guacamole and sour cream The pork was like pulled pork, tender and juicy but a little too salty to my liking. Melted cheddar cheese with tender pork, definitely comfort food... goes really well with the side sour cream and guacamole. I quite enjoyed this but it was quite filling.Ā Award Winning Tacos ($25) -- we chose one of each taco shell style with chicken in one, steak in another and fish and shrimp topped with Baja sauce in the last one . Comes with rice and beans on the side. Ā My favourite were the chicken taco and shrimp, fish taco. The chicken was tender and filled guacamole and sour cream. The shrimp and fish taco was also very tasty as there were some garlic flavours and again topped with guacamole and sour cream. Both were pretty good. The steak taco lacked flavours compared to the other two but we were still quite happy with it. Again, the serving is quite big. Good idea to share ;) Overall ... Food -- pretty good - good Service -- friendly Price -- fair

This restaurant went unnoticed to us for such a long time. It is proudly in the oddest location, positioned between a bunch of lighting stores and furniture stores and is only identifiable by its Mexican themed couch that sits out on the street. The dĆ©cor is quintessentially Mexican, and the option to wear a giant sombrero while you dine is, of course, provided. The food here is nothing short of awesome. Massive portions, traditional flavours and some of the best guac in town. Ā The menu boasts a heap of traditional favourites, from burritos, tacos, quesadillas andĀ chimichangas,, to traditional mole and tamales. The meals are massive, perfect for sharing and super tasty. Though a little pricey, you certainly get a lot of bang for your buck. We ordered Margaritas Fresh Guacamole Street Style Tacos with Seasoned Ground Beef Mac Daddy Burrito with Pulled Pork We rate it 3.8/5

Dos Senoritas is the real deal for authentic Mexican in Sydney. Chef Domingo Medina has brought food from the streets of Guadalajara straight to their cosy Gladesville restaurant and the newer (more spacious) Dos Senoritas 2 restaurant in Crows Nest. I have visited both Dos Senoritas and Dos Senoritas 2 (a few times now) and it has quickly become one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Sydney. The Gladesville branch interior is smallish and is decorated with some cool (albeit tacky) "Mexican" looking items (think sombreros, wrestling masks etc...). The Crows Nest branch interior is bigger and spans 2 floors with the 2nd floor able to accommodate larger groups. The interior is decorated in a similar fashion (see picture below). Both are quite comfortable and the friendly wait staff at both locations

Dos SeƱoritas is a quaint little Mexican joint situated on Victoria Road in Gladesville. So really, every time I went on Victoria Rd to go to the city I had passed the restaurants many times.....just that I had never noticed it! Or maybe I was too focused on the road... The exterior is quite noticeable with a typically "Mexican" sofa (such a cliche ha!) right in front of the restaurant.
Thelamstock
Complementary tortilla chips with salsa which is served almost immediately after we were seated. The tortilla chips are freshly made and the salsa gives a good punch of chili.
Dee Blair
They give you a complimentary basket of corn chips and salsa when you arrive which is super yummy ā€“ the chips are nice and crunchy and the salsa is zesty and a little fiery at the same time! I knew I had to eat my mains but I couldnā€™t keep my hands off them

Hola! I am so happy I have finally made it to Dos Senorita and can I just say to the whole wide world that I, Shanshan Lam, a Mexican food loving human being freaking loves this place to death. There has been so much hype about this place which made me worry that the restaurant might have been overrated. But no, it met those expectations and probably exceeded it. Huge servings of food at reasonable prices and food that is packed full of flavour, how can it possibly be overratedĀ Between a group of four, we struggled to finish 3 plates of food. That is how huge these servings were, especially when all their dishes are full of carbs.Ā Hola Ā Hola! Annnndddd the best thing about this place is that there are plenty of sombreros for you to try on! The only thing missing now is a real piƱata to bash up.Ā Complimentary doritos and salsa Another winning thing about Dos Senoritas is that they offer complimentary doritos and salsa. They are so addictive. We tried to control ourselves but we ended

I ordered the "supercheesygooeychimichanga" and Ben opted for the beef burrito- and we both got a little adventurous with beverages; mine was a ricey cinnamon dream they called orchata and Ben went for the jamaica- it was hibiscalicious!

With their fabulous dumplings, I'm sure they'll gain a loyal base of customers.

...the burrito which is full of ground beef, rice, beans and cheddar cheese topped with spicy cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa and guacamole. We somehow manage to cut it into three portions and the fillings are overflowing out of the tortilla wrap. The beef mince is extremely well flavoured and itā€™s a perfect combination with all the other elements on the dish. By the time we finish it, weā€™re all in a satisfied state but then comes the next dishā€¦

I especially liked the baked beans since you can't get them in this kind of flavour here in Australia.

The food at Dos Senoritas was good value
MissPiggyEats
Dos Senoritas is a colourful looking Mexican restaurant on busy Victoria Road in Gladesville.Ā The menu claims to serve up "authentic street style Mexican food we all crave". I've never had "proper Mexican food" before but I do know that I've been craving something cheesey that involves corn chips and Dos Senoritas delivers. I'm quite taken with the Jamaican ($5), a non-alcoholic drink (cos I'm a wowzer) that is a traditional sweet Mexican infusion of hibiscus flower. My friend has a Corona as she's a proper grown-up. A basket of crispy, salty corn chips comes free to every table - which is dangerous as it's hard not to scoff the whole lot within minutes of taking our seat.Ā The salsa is great, it's really substantial with lots of tomatoes and spices which gives it a nice, smokey flavour. In a (failed) effort to be healthy I order the Taco salad ($24) mainly has it has iceberg lettuce tossed in ranch dressing (I love Ranch dressing SO much). The salad is topped with seasoned steak, jac

The Mac Daddy Burro is a behemoth of a meal, weighing in at over half a kilo. Choose your protein ā€“ pork chilli verde, shredded beef, shredded chicken or minced beef ā€“ and sit back and wait for the burrito bomb smothered in spicy salsa verde and mole oaxca, a dark chocolate sauce that is smoky and slightly bitter. Guacamole, sour cream and side serves of refried beans and Mexican rice will tide you over until at least lunchtime the next day.

I first came across this little pocket on Victoria road Gladesville while I was stuck in life sucking traffic. There he was, a jolly man - donning a poncho and shaking his hips to the strums of his own guitar. There and then in the life sucking traffic of Victoria Road, I knew I had to visit Dos Senoritas. This restaurant is very casual, colourful and fun..no air of "cool-ness" and just straight up Guadalajara-n heart. The menu covers all the mexican dishes we Sydney-siders have grown to love during this recent mexican cuisine explosion..Taquitos, Quesadillas, Enchilladas, Guacamole..The "specialties" section of the menu however is where the real excitement is.. its where the real mexican dishes like Mole (the green Poblano kind and the Dark Chocolate Oaxaca kind) and Tamales are listed.

Best mexican restaurant. so authentic and huge servings. you even get free dip and chips. a must if you like mexican

Huge servings, but to me it was lacking taste.

Amazing Food. Over from Perth for a long weekend and really wanted good Mexican food. We were not disappointed. Pretty low key in terms of decor, and the aircond was not on as I guess on Sundays at lunchtime it's not that busy. However, the atmosphere was still good and the service was great. Food fantastic (large range of dishes), and humungous servings, none of us could finish our meals. The pork in the fajitas was melt-in-your-mouth quality. Wish this place would move to Perth!

Come hungry!. Yummy, crowd-pleasing food, generous servings. Not sure how authentic it is but is delicious regardless.

Take-away orders. We often go to Dos Senoritas to have dinner and haven't had a problem, however, ordering take-away was a disappointment. I made an order over the phone and once picking it up and taking it home realised it was wrong. The chicken burrito was made with beef and 3 tacos ended up only being two and wrong flavours. The restaurant needs to take names when ordering as well as phone numbers in order to collect the right food. $50 on two take-away dishes needs to be correct!

It's a small restaurant you wouldn't think makes much business on a busy road surrounded by lighting stores and petrol stations. But stand outside and you'll see it's filled to the brim with customers and bustling noise.

This was my first Mexican experience in sydney! Having tried the popular Mamasita in Melbourne (2 hour wait), I thought this place would be similar quality- ie not that great. Boy was I wrong! Portions were HUUUGE, and the guacamole and salsa was heaps fresh and interesting. the beef avocado dip with tortilla chips was by far my favourite as an entre.

For mains we had the supercheeseygooeysomething which was essentially a deep fried burrito, which was pretty insane. But flavour wise the fajitas with beef and chicken won the mains medal. Both the beef and chicken were tasteful and juicy, perfect combo with tortillas and the rice, cream and avocado. By this time we were ready to spew from the fullness!

After this, we had dessert of churros which was the least impressive of the day. It was packed with cinnamon and cheap chocolate sauce drizzled over the top. While not the best, I didn't come to this place to try their churros so I didn't mind!

Service was friendly, owner was as well :). Although the only thing was they forgot to provide cups with our water (although they fixed this up 10m later when they came to take our order). It was a busy Saturday night with a bday party of 20 so fair enough. They also didn't have knowledge of our voucher so didn't tell us what we could and couldn't order until later when we asked about the mains. But again, keep in mind it's a very busy restaurant, and the awesome food and this won't throw you off in the least.

Atmosphere definitely wasn't lacking, but it was a little bit deafening! Everyone seemed to be speaking loudly over one another and the closed in rooms didn't help lower the volume.

Definitely will come back again as a full paying customer but will order less dishes this time :).

Thank you for the awesome dinner!

Bland food, stale tortillas, bad service. In addition to the above, when we asked for hot sauce to spice up the bland food, they brought us a small saucer of pickled jalapeƱos, and then charged us $6 for it on the bill.

Great Mexican comfort food... Friendly service with an authentic punch line. A terrific local eatery.

I will never come back here - can't even comment on the food because I didn't get a chance to taste it! Booked a table for two to get there and find out they were double booked. We were given no explanation and the girl couldn't even estimate how long we would have to wait. The service at this place is laughable and when we asked to speak to the manager he showed a clear lack of interest in further explaining what was going on. Sort your service out! Don't bother booking, clearly it doesn't make a difference. We went to Pepino's down the road and we're treated to a far better experience.

AMAZING!. I've been coming here for over 2 years now, and just when I think Dos Senoritas can't get any better, it does. The food just tastes absolutely sensational, and there are menu items there that you won't find anywhere else in Sydney. If you are looking for your run-of-the-mill burrito or taco from Mad-Mex, well, this isn't the place for you. But if you want a REAL authentic Mexican experience with real Mexican culture and warmth and hospitality, this is where you must go.

The prices are very fair, the staff are extremely friendly and the head chef, Domingo Medina, loves to come out (when he isn't too busy) and socialise with the customers. He's a lovely guy and I've even sat and knocked back a few tequilas with him over a quiet lunch! Some of the drinks here are very delicious; the Horchata, for example, is one of my particular favourites; a cinnamon/vanilla sweetened rice drink that goes down very smoothly to balance out the heat of Mexican spices. If vanilla and cinnamon are your thing, you'll most likely find yourself ordering at least 3 by the end of your day!

Where ever you come from in Sydney, I strongly recommend trying Dos Senoritas at least once. I can't say it is for everyone, as true authentic Mexican IS an acquired taste, but if exciting flavours and great hospitality are your thing, give this place a go!

We used Urbanspoon to find a well rated Mexican restaurant within a 45 min radius from home. Thanks to previous reviews, we found a gem! When I looked at the menu, I initially thought it was a bit pricey but I heeded advice and we shared plates - thank goodness, the servings were huge! We loved the venue, staff and food so we'll definitely be back.

Dos Senoritas. Awesome food and people just loved it. Thank you

Wanted a tasty lunch, and I sure got it. Popped in to pick up some take away, ordered the Shrimp Salad-huge portion, will be eating it for dinner and tomorrow's breakfast! It's not cheap, but well worth it. Authentic Mexican flavours and a friendly atmosphere, will be back with a group of friends really soon.

Great location, delicious hearty Mexican food, huge meals that make it value for money! Welcoming atmosphere that made for a great night out :)

Huge portions and tasty. We ended up here for lunch. They gave us very tasty and spicy salsa with tortilla chips. The portions were huge and you can easily split between 2 or even 3. Good service and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Like to come back.

Great food, just a good casual place to go with friends. Awesome chips and dip on arrival. Would go again.

Authentic Mexican (crowsnest store). Great flavours, generous portions and friendly staff. The staff were very attentive on a Saturday night and absolutely lovely, the previous reviews are very surprising

Won't be back. Very disappointed. The food was a huge brown blob on the plate and didn't taste much better. It seemed to have been ladled out of some great big vat of beans and meat in the kitchen. More quality and less quantity is what's needed. And for what it was, it was overpriced. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back.

Lively place! Not fancy but amazing, home cooked food. More of a party vibe than a romantic, quiet dinner for two spot. Staff lovely and attentive even on a busy Saturday night.

Awful restaurant. This place is simply awful, firstly it was filthy ! our complementary corn chips were served in a white plastic basket that was covered in black marks and left over salsa, it clearly had not been washed in a long time. The dƩcor was very down market which usually doesn't bother me, I love a good hole in the wall restaurant but this was horrible. The food was very poorly cooked I had a mixture of tacos, so much of it was so obviously microwaved, very little of it was fresh and a lot of it was soggy the fish had obviously been fried in oil that wasn't hot. The salsa was bitter and tasted strongly of raw cumin. Don't go there.

This review is for the new location that opened three weeks ago in Crows Nest/St Leonards. This is the most amazing Mexican food I've ever had, and that's saying something coming from a girl from Colorado where our Mexican restaurants out number any other ethnic food groups. I have lived here now for 7.5yrs and had given up my search for good Mexican until a friend tipped me off about this place. I now live on the central coast and happened to stumble on the new location tonight on a short stay in the area. So glad I did. I'll never go to another Mexican place again and I'll be happy to drive down from the coast regularly for this place. The food is incredible! After a hectic wait (they weren't expecting the crowd they got tonight and I did have to wait a bit for my food, but it was worth it), I got to chat with Ray, the owner( his brother owns the Gladville location). He came directly from Mexico two months ago to open this restaurant. The food is made fresh with ingredients imported directly from Mexico, and the liquor license is still to come but when it gets approved I have no doubt the margaritas will be killer. I can wait to show my Aussie friends what real Mexican tastes like! Will be back! Ps... I think word will spread fast, I'm guessing reservations will be necessary soon. It was packed tonight and it's only in its third week. That's doing something right!

New. Food average, stuff and services very poor.
Will not return

Most authentic Mexican I have had in Sydney. Great flavours, generous portions and friendly staff.

Try the enchiladas and the hibiscus drink - great thirst quencher.

Only downside is the price - but hey, they deserve it!

I'll be back.

Great Food!. Awesome traditional Mexican food, large servings, mouth water margarita's!
Always a family favourite.

It's gotta be one of my favourite Mexican places. It's absolutely traditional right down to the sauces. Portions sizes were generous and totally worth it. We went for lunch and it was quiet. Food came fairly quick. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Will definitely return.

The best restaurant for fish and prawn tacos! The portions here are also incredibly generous and it's not too pricey either. Stand out Mexican gem!
Salleu
Decent portions and fresh flavours - it was a full house on the Sat night when my friends and I ate there so was crowded, noisy, hot and a few annoying flies buzzing about (like being in Mexico someone commented). Food is tex mex style and reasonably priced. Good for groups on a Fri/Sat, be sure to book!
Lucy
We waited around 40 minutes for our burritos, a table that came in after us got served before us. We were contemplating walking out but when the food arrived all was forgiven! Amazing food! Huge servings! Totally worth the wait!
Jen

We had a really fun time here. Excellent food and friendly service. They made us and our 4 small children feel welcome.

Best mexican in Sydney. I've tasted other mexican restauraunts in Sydney and have to say they tend to 'westernise' the food. This restaurant is amazingly authentic!

From when you sit down and are handed a bowl of corn chips and tomato salsa (to die for and on the house), the menu is exploding with options.

I've been here twice in the last month since it was recommended to me and can't get enough. If you trek to Gladesville I strongly strongly recommend the hard shell tacos - YUM! The prawn or fish filling is just full of flavour with guac, salsa and fresh fillings. The servings are huge, generous and the owner always greets everyone with a warm smile.

The man had the Mac Daddy Burrito and not only was it huge but unlike some other mexican restaurants that tend to stuff the burritos with a heapload of cheese, salad this was filled to the bring (overloaded) with meat that was so tender and juicy it got two thumbs up.

Definitely on the favourites list

I'd rate this place 10/10
Gary
Poor form. Booked a table for four on Saturday night, arrived to find that they were double booked and the best they could offer was a table for two in 30mins....or a table for four in 'maybe' an hour. Poor service and poor form, there were people waiting ahead of us. Why book if this is how you're going to be treated. It's not on. Needless to say we went elsewhere.

Great Nachos. Went here as a last minute things after a movie and wasn't expecting much . The nachos and burritos was yummy and the service was friendly . we will be back again .

Really chilled out place. Honestly if it were not on Urban spoon hot spots would not even give it a second look from the outside.
Totally chilled relaxed place. Food was awesome. Have to try the tacos! Totally awesome!
