Review The Servery Cafe - Glen Huntly

Jono C
The best Breakfast Burger hands down - plenty of spinach and bacon and the egg was still gooey, served in a soft milk bun! Literally haven't found better in Melbourne, so highly recommend. The chilli scramble was really tasty when I got it the first time, but when we came back a second time it was a bit bland - may have been an off-day for the cook but still disappointing. The deluxe eggs Benny are great - great rosti and the bacon was thick cut and nicely crispy, with a creamy bernaise sauce and perfect poached eggs The VB (vegetarian brekky) comes on a very generously portioned sweet potato rosti with a fantastically crunchy exterior and is loaded with smashed avo, pickled beetroot, and more. Even as a lover of bacon and all things greasy, I have to say this was a delicious and hearty meal as it was! Overall really great food and coffee and friendly service - just note the outdoors area gets no sun in the morning so rug up if it's not yet warm-out!

Dropped in as working on area, Saturday 16 July around 0820 got a monster sized coffee, delicious and right temp, and a lemon and coconut muffin, still hot. Served by a friendly lady named Cyrene and coffee made by Fabiola. Service was great, Fabiola once she heard we worked in area gave us all the opening times, 0630 M - F 0700 Sat. Great service and was always getting a 5 star as had Queen playing over the sound system. Well done and thank you.

Before I mention anything regarding the food, I would like to discuss my service experience. A manager working at the time was completely terrible! Just from overhearing how he talked to his staff & handled situations, I was appalled at his service. Not only does he belittle & tell his female staff to smile more, but he was extremely rude & arrogant towards us. Aside from this, the food was great & the female staff workers are lovely. I would love to come back on a day where this particular manager isnt working.

Quite disappointed with the food here. Coffee is average too. The hollandaise sauce on my breakfast was not properly name, the egg and oil had separated so texture and taste was not great. Poached eggs were over cooked, potato rosti too thick. Only the bacon was good.
Fahad Qayyum
Great food and great customer service. Roti brekkie is so good. Spicy scrambled egg is another blockbuster. Faviola the manager is amazing in customer service. Must visit. Plenty of parking around.

It’s a nice place to have a brunch with friends during the weekends. I ordered serval times on Ubereats and my friend suggested that we can visit the restaurant and dine in. Staffs are friendly and food is quite huge. Personally I think it’s not worth to pay extra 5 dollars for the chorizo (sausage) It’s like around $1 dollar for each slide of it. Anyway, there are a lot of parking spaces around this cafe. And also near by the train station. It’s okay to visit here if you want to try something different.

The best coffee I've found in Melbourne. Great baristas and the owner Arjay is one of the most considerate guys I've met.

Good place to have coffee with a friend. Spent hours here catching up with friends and chatting over coffee. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. Outdoor seating has heaters to make your time here cozy and comfortable. Friendly and courteous staff. Good food options as well. Really liked their Nachos and onion rings (though quantity of onion rings could be better). Coffee is always good

Having a sweet tooth, no better place than Servery. Warm and moist sticky date pudding with ice cream. Took a while to come out but it was definitely worth the wait.<br/><br/>

I went for brunch today with a group of around 30 people. I ordered eggs benedict with pulled pork. I understand that it’s a large group but there really is no room for overcooking poached eggs and serving up rosti which were as hard as rocks. The pulled pork was dry and there was barely any of it. The staff were apologetic and changed the eggs but it did not wow me. In addition, $3.50 for 4 leaves of spinach is totally not on. Especially when I was told it comes with spinach and they charged me anyway! My friends pancakes were very overdone and floury. Coffee was good but not sure if I’d come back to be honest.
Who Loves Good Food
Good but not great. Loved the creamy chicken & mushroom risotto & the crispy chicken burger but didn’t quite enjoy the barra & chips nor the pancakes. Fish was bland & pancakes too syrupy.

Their is so much good food in Melbourne and surrounding areas that I will never go back to this restaurant again. I guess each business gets to burn you once. I had eggs and bacon. The bacon came out burnt and the bread was cold and sloppy. Friend had a pizza which came out about 30 minutes after my meal arrived. When it came out it was sloppy. The crust was soaked and not cooked properly. The water bottles are were also disgusting and needed to be cleaned. So expensive for the sloppy the serve. Good luck surviving long term. Good they created the Bollywood bar across the road. Might keep them in business a bit longer

The chocolate milkshake is amazing here. Good place to hangout or go for a Brunch. The pasta wasn’t all that great. But the waffles were amazing.

This place used to be amazing but not now . I ordered a linguine seafood and were was the seafood no fish prawns or mussels shocking waste of money ... waiting staff were friendly and attentive tho .. hopefully better next time

Sad to say that this lovely restaurant is managed so poorly. If your customer complains please in future listen and write off the loss. One thing in the managers favour he did offer to replace the order.

After not going there for a few months in 2018, we were nearby and decided to try it again. I am a coffee & breakfast guy with eggs, salmon, the lot, and having tried then everywhere, can tell the good from the bad!<br/><br/>Today Servery provided an absolutely Awful Eggs Benedict on Potato Rosti with cheese sause!<br/><br/>> Salmon - was way OVERSALTED, <br/>> Potato Rosti - was HARD as BRICK, with strange spices,<br/>> the Cheese Sauce - tasted OFF!<br/><br/>The only saving grace were eggs!<br/><br/>Coffee: I love black coffee with a dash of milk, and good coffee needs no sugar! This coffee was bitter and acidic and no amount of sugar could suppress the taste.<br/><br/>To be polite, and having been there many times, I told the manager about my experience. Instead of appreciating my honest review he said that no-one complains and it's just me! And then tried to over-charge me before I pointed out the "mistake"!<br/><br/>Don't waste your time & $.

Good soy cap coffee ! And always friendly service by all the staff and owner . Food is reasonably priced too . Always easy to get a seat either inside or out !<br/>

The Servery is a nice cafe which serves you great coffee, warm hot chocolate and offers you some cakes, bread and simple breakfast dishes in the morning. Nice scenery, clean bathrooms, staff are okay. If you have a little spare time before school/work, I recommend to grab a quick coffee.

Weekend breakfast here is great if you are in no rush (the staff are very chill) when you do finally get service though the food is satisfactory. There is an outdoor courtyard area which is nice for a good hangover group breakfast. <br/>The chicken and mushroom risotto is absolutely delicious! Have ordered it takeaway a few times but sit in and eat it.. it’s yummy

"Brekkie croquettes"<br/>Really tasty dish which was filling. The service was amazing and it had a nice atmosphere. Although the black beans were odd in the dish and felt out of place.

Lovely chicken burgers and yum French fries 😊😊 liked the Wednesday burger deal 🙌 it's close to my place and we'll be returning soon..😊😊

Atmosphere: A little dark but was lightened by the cheerful staff and their lovely attitudes. <br/><br/>Service: Great service! Very accommodating. <br/><br/>Coffee: Was okay. A bit bitter, but just depends on what you like I guess!<br/><br/>

Just across from Glen Huntley station, a charming place to stop by for a coffee and a cake. Staff were friendly, coffee was good, beautiful range of bread, muffins and treats!

Rude staff, in particular the management. Ordered a jug of sangria that tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a week or more. Waited for over half hour for meal with only 8 other people in the place. They forgot our garlic pizza, we wanted to cancel but were told it was made and was delivered to table. Risotto was so salty my girlfriend could not eat it. When we wanted to bring it to the managers attention he hid in the kitchen and ignored our request to speak to him.<br/>We went out to the courtyard for a ciggerette and our conversation was drowned out by a man peeing in the toilet inside. I would not want to be sitting out there in a strong storm as the obvious shoddy backyard tradesmanship would probably not hold up. Tried to approach the pathetic excuse for a manager again, while paying ....Jeggy? And he avoided us again by hiding in the kitchen. Was then told by young waitress, Tomo? that we should not come back and called us liars and trying to get a free meal.<br/>I was sick all of the next day, im sure from the so called sangria. How do these people stay in business? Lets hope for not much longer.

A quiet, local cafe located opposite a train station, The Servery has a rustic feel to its dark-hued interior that borders on cool vibes with its fun chalkboard wall at the back. The menu reads quite simply with the standard breakfast and lunch dishes, including pizzas and daily specials. The nachos were deliciously cheesy with moreish pulled meat and crunchy tortilla chips, though more was needed in the small bowl, with the cheese and meat more evenly distributed throughout rather than just at the top. Contrarily, the calamari salad was very generous in portion size, though the calamari batter fell off the calamari rings quite easily, and there was too much red onion used in the salad. Overall, food is okay but I don't feel the need to return anytime soon.
Justin
Got food delivered from here to the bar across the road. Parma and fish and chips. The Parma was delicious and the chips very crispy. Pretty good value for money. Will come back to try the rest of the menu.
Sally T
Terrible Food - Would never eat here again. Have tried Breakfast and Dinner and both awful. Ordered the calamari salad and it was fried onion rings instead of calamari... <br/>The coffee is decent though and cheap!
Munchie Master
Enjoyed the food, was good. Though for the money the servings were smaller than I expected. Ordered the chicken parmigiana and fried chicken tacos via uber eats.
James Blake
Warning to Liven users - the app advertised this cafe and they still had the sticker in the window, but when we went to pay they said they had cancelled the service. We called Liven, and they told us the owners had not contacted them to cancel. Pretty disappointing, but the food was decent.

Nice place, good food.<br/>Worth getting recommendation from waiter if not sure what to order. Nice location to have a evening dinner.<br/>Prices are a little high.
Nick Kikas
Waited an hour for a burger and it was tiny in size, not worth $18! The quality of food is average too and the staff in the kitchen looked completely lost. Will not be going back there.
Jay
I'm happy to give this a five out of five just because the put so much ice-cream on my pancake. Not stingy at all. Lot of strawberries lovely place for a coffee and some dessert.
MG
Nice vibe of the place! <br/><br/>Had the potato croquets with poached eggs, bacon, avocado salsa and sweet chili mayo!<br/><br/>It's a great combination of taste but presentation can be a bit better but good overall! <br/><br/>The menu's got pretty interesting and different dishes!
Ramieleatsshootsandleaves
Cute place for breakfast and lunch. <br/>Their coffee aren't bad, but there's room for improvement. Convenient location, next to the station.<br/>Friendly service, and nice atmosphere.

Coffee was great, the peanut butter cookie was divine and perfect to top my afternoon coffee time. Manager /owner /service was friendly and wonderful. We came for arvo tea so didn't get a chance to try their food, may be next time when we visit that area again!
Elisha
Never again , not the first time they have just sent some thing different and charged for extras but this time I rang to complain , stating specifically the main item was missing and replaced with two tiny pieces of bread , which I couldn't eat hence my order of vegetable croquittes , the response was we will send you gluten free bread ?? I said no , and asked if they actually had what I ordered . After carrying on from you order of vegetable croquittes doesnt include vegetable croquittes ??? Lol I requested my money back and the dude said no money and hung up ...... luckily I ordered through uber rats who refunded in full plus voucher for their poor service . Don't bother what ever you order is a gamble it won't come as decribed and there will be no informing you or apology or refund .

This is another great cafe besides The Workshop in Glen Huntley. Lovely fitout especially the brick wall just give me a classic feel. Great coffee and friendly service from waiting staffs. I personally love to sit here for coffee and sweet with friends. I will update you guys once I try their food later. Recommended.

Nice little spot next to Glen Huntly Station. Have a wide ranging menu and friendly enough staff but unfortunately both times I have been here either my order or my friends order has been stuffed up. This is a shame, as the food here is nice and affordable, especially when you make the most of the specials nights. A little more attention to detail will definitely help this place attract more customers through the door.

Situated beside glenhuntly station, this quaint purveyor of cooked meals reliably dishes up a tasty breakfast and highly drinkable coffee. My staple is scrambled eggs, bacon and chorizo, and I am consistently sated by the serving size, which is a remarkable happenstance, let me tell you. On my most recent visit, a Swiss interloper had taken the reins as the resident barrister and performed admirably - my coffee was simply excellent. <br/><br/>I would have handed The Servery 4 stars, however my meal arrived without cutlery and the absentminded waitress - sporting an objectionable thatch of pink hair and tartan pants - made me wait an inordinate amount of time, so hence the deduction.<br/><br/>EDIT - I omitted to mention that the same pink-haired waitress at one stage yelled from an adjacent table to another waiter near the kitchen, and, in so doing, woke an infant baby that was peacefully sleeping in a pram. On balance, I have decided that this behaviour warrants a further 0.5 deduction in the total score. Despite this score of 2.5, I will revisit The Servery soon and update my loyal supporter base

Love the vibe and i have had good fry-up extras and chai sitting in. But i once bought some carrot cake and it was the worst thing ive eaten in my life. It was so oily i padded it with 4 layers of napkins to soak through but just threw it out because it tasted like oil. Take away chai has also been less than good. Been scared to go back since.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a table. The place has a laid back vibe and service was quick and friendly. <br/><br/>We had the deconstructed samosa and the mixed mushrooms. Presentation was nice but the dishes lacked the finesse that would have made me rate the place higher - for example, my mushrooms were a little tough.<br/><br/>Overall, the place has room for improvement, but I'd be up for coming back.
DeanT
Ok, so I love going out for a cheeky breakfast and always happy to try new places, and the Servery looks the part, BUT (obviously there's a but coming😏) the latte I had was probably only average, and for the love of god steer clear of the corn fritters! Overly salty and not crisp at all. Only ate half and was very disappointed. After saying all that though, I'm happy to give another chance but I'll definitely be trying another option from the menu

Bad service and very average food. Waitresses and staff could'nt care less. Went for a breakfast, waitress was bluntly rude so thought no worries lets wait for the coffee and the food. Being in a company, we expected our coffees to come together but served after 15 mns gap both coffees not even warm. Food was very average and both the aspects really made our experience very unpleasent. I've been there couple of times with same experience on both occassions. Not going back for sure and hope they pick up their game.

Really nice coffee and good value for money. <br/><br/>The avo and eggs on toast was delicious, as were the eggs Benny on potato cakes.<br/><br/>The poached eggs were slightly over cooked, but I'd rather that than have them underdone.<br/><br/>The staff were not over friendly, just efficient.
Custard Queen
Almost 2 hour delivery time on a Wednesday night. $70 meal arrived cold (not warm, I mean cold.. Solid congealed fat cold) I wish I would have known, I would never have bothered. Can't comment on taste as my oven is still preheating at the moment so I can bother eating it while it not coating my mouth in a coating of cold fat solids. 😭 I ordered this at 5:55 it's now 8 and I'm so hungry! See below for the $18 burger hah

Absolutely disgusted!!! Staff young, arrogant, and immature! <br/>The barista Sam and waitress Jess couldn't be any worse! Don't employ! Please Look out for them! Turn away!! <br/>Coffee and food was total rubbish , not to mention the insults thrown at us for bringing two autistic kids for a meal in a so called kid friendly cafe !!! " your kids are feral and you should be at home with them, we don't need your business! (slam the chair into the table) hitting my daughter!!!As parents with disabled children we make an effort to take our kids out, and hope not to be surrounded by such bullshit! And narrow minded workers! Wrong job guys!!! <br/>You can accept dogs to run around and shit in your court yard, but two innocent children in the kids zones is too much!!! Disgusted!!! Sam and Jess disgusting feral workers!!! Go and find a job that u can actually do !!! <br/>

Great setup which will hopefully do wonders for bringing in the foot traffic into the far end of Glen Huntly Rd.The pizzas are recommended.

Had the Bombay Burger,<br/>Wow, <br/>Amazing burger,<br/>The sweet bun combined with the perfectly cooked patty was simply delicious.<br/>Was served with fries and garlic dipping sauce,<br/>I must say the sauce was the best I've ever had,<br/>Ambiance was nice and staff and owner were super friendly.
Kate
This is such a well hidden gem. So happy it was recommended to me! The Bombay burger is delicious, filling and worth the price! The staff are very polite and friendly and the space is filled with cute decor and furniture!

Terrible service. Kids meals forgotten. They were nearly asleep by the time their meals came. I had finished my meal 20 mins before they were came. Pizza just ok. Meat overlooked. Base too sweet. This is a local place and so wish it was better. Haven't come for a year hoping it was better and it wasn't.

Finally !! BACK to Melbourne!! Jet legged and super hungry!! So my friend decided to take me to The Servery. <br/>The patties cooked nice in Bombay burger. Love the bacon and the chips were great as well. Chicken Parma as good as you'll get for a meal and side sauce was excellent. Pizza was also tasty and had lots of toppings. Lots of food. So it was good value. <br/>Great service and friendly staff. It was really nice as a my first meal back in Melbourne after 40 days. : )
The Food Traveller
Very friendly staff! We dropped in really late and they were happy to serve us dinner! The chunky chips were good. We ordered for 2 pizzas: garlic prawn pizza and Margherita. The prawn pizza was good but the Margherita was okayish. We'll definitely drop in to try some other pizzas!
Katrina Orchard
Very relaxed feel in this place almost hard to tell who works there but the menu and food is quite tasty. Try the salmon croquette for breakfast
Stuart8
Had a nice breakfast a few months back so decided to give lunch a go and it was just as good. Really warm service. Nice laid back feel to it. Small menu but done particularly well.
David Wilkinson
Good iced coffee. Very bad smashed avocado on sourdough. I've had very good arancini balls & traditional breakfast here, however this was horrible. The sourdough was good but the avocado had clearly degraded, been exposed to air & the heat & gone dark green, you could taste it & see it. Foul! I didn't eat it, I left 3/4 on the plate.
Fourladiesandacat
The corn fritters were absolutely delicious but the eggs had been poached far too long and the yokes were hard. Great coffee!!
PK
Love this place. The coffee and food is consistently good and the staff always have a smile. They even remember my coffee order! I wish there was more cafes like this one.
Systemico
I've been here for dinner a few times. It has more of a cafe atmosphere than restaurant, but it's a lovely little place to have dinner. I've attached a photo below of their chicken parmigiana ($17) which i had as takeaway. They have very friendly staff, and good food at decent prices. They have some absolutely delicious fudge slices / rocky road etc for $4. Highly recommended having dinner here sometime!
Danielle.perichon
Gluten free dinner. So hard to find good gluten free food sometimes, but the gf gnocchi hit the spot and was amazing value for the price!
Vivien
It was a nice place. my family and I always come here and was never disappointed. I like the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and service was quick and attentionable.
Nicholas Renwick
Consistently high quality, well priced food and good service. Have been for breakfasts, lunches and dinners and am always impressed. My favourite local.
Asher
The Servery is one of my favourite cafes, they have some of the yummiest food and an ambience to match. <br/><br/>If there were awards for how awesome a cafe looks, I'd give the servery top prize. It has a very industrial but warm feel with it's bare brick walls and fancy tidbits strategically placed in every nook and cranny. The courtyard at the back is also quite lovely to hang out in when the sun is out.<br/><br/>The staff is super friendly and has always been extremely attentive and polite. <br/><br/>Some of my most favourite dishes as a vegetarian are the mushroom and goats cheese arancini balls, the halloumi sliders and the nachos. The pizzas are quite a delight as well!<br/><br/>The fact that it stays open till late and serves a wide selection of grog makes this an evening no-brainer, for the fact that their (relatively) late night timings allow a fantastic place to meet with friends or family when most other cafe's are shut.<br/><br/>While there are many cafe's and eateries around in Glen Huntly, The Servery is the equivalent of a friend who's always there when you need them.
Luke
Mid week dinner here with our 2 yr old toddler. Service was ok, friendly enough, but not very attentive to the obvious, like: your drink has been long empty! Our food was all very tasty and generous portions considering the price point. We had the Gnocchi and chicken Parma. Will def come back to try a pizza or two. Over all a positive experience, kid friendly local place to dine on a budget for quality homely food-Happy days!
BL
So so. Coffees took too long & we're very avg but the food was fast & awesome.
Maddy C
Terrible coffee , tried this place twice to give it another chance but the second time was worse than the first.
Siobhán Margaux
Best vegan burger in Melbourne. I have been a regular at the Servery for some time, as I live locally and it is the best place around to have a wine after work - but only got around to trying the vegan burger recently. It was reminiscent of the veggie burgers from Lentil As Anything circa 2000, before they downgraded to Tip Top bread and (what certainly seems like) supermarket patties. I can't remember the last time I had a veggie burger this good. Thanks, Servery. I will be back!
Carlisle
Seriously sensational Caesar salad, consistently delicious with fabulous people working here. Highly recommended.
Fantasticme
Nice. Great place in all regards , great staff , nice environment very pleasant and delicious food. <br/>However please have a serious look at your coffee - its a tad insipid and grey perhaps, ( if your a real coffee freak you will know what i mean ). <br/>Otherwise a truly great cafe! And we will go again in hope for a good coffee. Dont try too hard just do it.
Dezignrt45
Nice atmoshphere. Great breakfast corn zuccini fritters with poached eggs , relish etc. Coffee could be hotter (we asked for it ) thats the only gripe.<br/>Extra bonus - you can actually sit and enjoy the not in your face music , its there but in the background where it should be. Other places can take a lesson from this place in that regard.

Good chips!. We had a takeaway pizza and chips, whilst waiting for it we felt so relaxed that we were tempted to sit in even though tired and initially wanting to go home. Nice space, good atmosphere, relaxing tunes. We shared a large mushroom pizza and chips, plenty for two. The chips were delicious! Pizza lovely and thin n crispy base. However there was no mozzarella on pizza, just small sprinkling of ricotta , tasted dry. The tomato base tasted like plain tomato paste, not a flavoursome sauce, bitter. I would come here again though.

Love the cheese cake most, good place for brunch and coffee

Aranchini balls with mushrooms and goats cheese are to die for. <br/>Bombay Bellini very refreshing<br/>Coffee is average <br/>Staff friendly<br/>Overall good experience

Pizza Menu. It says you have Pizzas there but there is no menu for the pizzas????<br/>Please can I see a menu for the pizza please??

Great hollandaise. Fantastic breakfast, very dog friendly and the best hollandaise I have had in ages!

Came on cup day - one person to wait, make coffee and and serve / cash up 6 / 7 tables . Super slow - can't make baby chinos either

Fantastic Eatery!. Great food. Really good service. Have had breakfast and lunch here. Everything I have ordered so far from the menu has been excellent. The portions are quite reasonable too. I highly recommend the Chicken Parmigiana it is unbelievably good - and I have had a few Parmas in my life so I should know. The staff are very friendly as well (something rare in society today). Definitely recommend it to others.
Clementyne_16
Store bought pizza bases. We went here tonight and we didn't like the food at all. The pizza bases tasted like they were store bought- they were tough and had no flavour. They also piled on the tomato paste which completely overpowered the other flavours. After just two slices, we ended up scraping the toppings off and leaving the base. <br/><br/>And I don't know about you, but when I order a quinoa salad I expect it to be grain-based... The one we ordered tonight was spinach based, with just a bit of quinoa stirred through. Finally, the fried calamari rings were too chewy, we needed a knife to cut them.<br/><br/>The service for us wasn't a problem, but based on the food I wouldn't go back.
InnerCityFoodie
A hidden gem. Went on a recommendation for breakfast and was thrilled by this hidden gem! The menu offers many delicious options and classics with a little twist - I just love being in a position where you are spoiled for choice, rather than picking the only appealing option on a breakfast menu. The veggie breakfast was fab and the coffee was up to the standards you would find along Chapel St. The service and decor were both unpretentious and I will definitely be back!

Gluten free beware. If you are coeliac or need to eat gluten free, beware of the menu. I ordered pizza on a gluten free base and was sick afterwards in the same way I would be if it wasn't gluten free. So I suspect the base did have gluten in it. The pizza toppings are really good and the staff are nice. But more care must be taken if you are offering gluten free options.
Krystal Irving
Coeliacs beware - advertise GF however NOT coeliac safe - for example the fish and chips are cooked in the SAME fryer as everything else. Very dangerous. Owner seems to think this kind of thing only matters for "sensitive" coeliacs! Clearly woefully ignorant of how the disease works at a cellular level - you either have coeliac disease or you don't - there isn't different "levels" of sensitivity. Avoid or be very careful and double check anything you order is ACTUALLY gf.
YB
Coeliacs be careful!! The menu is full of Gluten Free options but unfortunately the cooks don't understand that Gluten Free is more than just the ingredients. Cross contamination is a big problem!! Had a family lunch there today and my 6yo daughter who is coeliac wanted the gluten free fish and chips. I asked the manager about how they were cooked, if the oil was separate for gluten free cooking. I was told that no, all the fried foods are cooked in the same oil. I asked him how he could call the fish and chips gluten free if they were cooked in the same oil as gluten foods. He said this would only be a problem if you were a particularly sensitive coeliac!!! I told him any contact with gluten will hurt a coeliac!!! You can't cook gluten free food in oil used for gluten foods, it contaminates the gluten free food!! I'm very glad that I asked, my daughter would've been seriously ill if I just trusted their menu!!! So anyone who is coeliac or gluten intolerant, DO NOT TRUST THEIR MENU!!! Ask questions. It's a shame that they don't understand that a food item is not just gluten free because of the ingredients, food handling and cooking is just as important... So disappointing because this place was ok other than that...
Hello_india.aus001
Hungry_tony. Best corn fritters ever had, nice and crispy. Halloumi and eggs were perfectly cook. Will back.....

Great Food. Shared the meat lovers pizza and pumpkin quinoa salad. Was fantastic. Good value for money. Staff were really friendly and coffee was great. I'll be coming back for more.

Do not go here. The service at the servery is diabolical. Interesting to see I am not alone in my views here. Wanted to buy a muffin to take away and stood waiting for service for 10 minutes despite only one other customer in this store. I won't be going back there and suggest you don't waste your time either!

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE. After spending over $90, 1 and 1/4 hours, with service that was at best amateur, and the restaurant being about half full, we (4 of us) were basically told to get out within the next 15 minutes as " our" table was booked. I would totally avoid this establishment! SO rude.
Mokkadork
Got told to leave after 70 mins!?!?. Food was OK, service was OK if amateurish. Had 4 full breakfasts, with cost >$90. Sipping last coffee when owner sent young staff member to tell us our table was needed and we had to go! There were 4 empty tables and no-one was waiting. Never happened to me before.<br/>Give this place the big miss that it deserves.
Jkvlxx
Food - OK Service - Bad. Ordered takeaway on Sunday. Was told wait would be 45min. Expected the venue to be busy but probably only had 3-4 tables dining in. Food was as expected and a little bit on the cold side when picked up. Ordered Chicken Portuguese burger, confit duck slider, prosciutto pizza and chicken quinoa salad. Burger tasted pretty good, wouldve been better if it was hot. slider was good but the massive bread roll served in killed off the taste. prosciutto was borderline off. never seen it so dark before. overall not the best experience. unfortunately probably wont go back which is a shame when the menu looked so good.
Dapope_raves
Amazing restraunt been waiting awhile for place like this in glen huntly. I've tried there parmas ,fish n chips ,pizzas and all are delicious would highly recommend this place to anyone and there desserts are really yummy Spanish doughnuts and nutella pizza with bananas and strawberries :) mmm

Inviting and promising restaurant but the food let itself down. Very oily calamari, slider filling was nice but lost in a very thick bun. Luckily Tuesday is Half price pizza.

I had the haloumi &eggplant salad which really yummy & my friend had the duck risotto which she loved. Our coffee's were good, service was fine. We stayed a while so it was a nice touch that we were bought extra water without having to ask. Their menu's very extensive & I want to try it out at night as I see so many people there when I drive past. Overall a great lunch had here!
Jvatha
Poor service. Had dinner here on Wednesday night. The service was terrible. Very very slow. We ordered mojitos and had to return them. The soda water used was flat. There was 4 of us and we ordered salads. One salad arrived and then it took another 10 minutes for the next to arrive and another 5 for the other two. The place is lovely and when the food did arrive it was good but they really need to lift their game with the service. I wouldn't go back.

Shame as it had been so so good. Although we love the many great cafes in our area yesterday I thought we'd try The Servery in Glenhuntly as we happened to be in the area before school drop off. We have been here a few times with different friends for dinner and is always a great night. This however proved to be a bad decision. THE worst brekkie we've ever had. Was very surprised and very disappointed.<br/><br/>Service was very poor, different staff from previous visits and had limited english which was a little challenging when ordering. 1 waiter was very unfriendly, barely looked at us and was clearly uninterested. <br/><br/>A group of 8 on the table next to us were having a breakfast meeting and there was no music playing to reduce the impact of their conversations. It was as though we were at the table with them. Not their fault at all but the waiter should have been aware enough to turn on some music to distract from the groups conversations. Eventually I asked for some music to be put on to reduce the impact of the meeting which they did. <br/><br/>My son and I ordered what we'd usually order from our other regular cafes, the brekkie wrap which came very flat with a fried flat piece of very dense tasteless rotti, watery scrambled eggs on top and slices of chorizo with some plain rocket on the side. After 15 minutes my coffee came as a Latte instead of my ordered cappuccino and although there were not many other customers they took a further 15 minutes to remake and I had to remind them of my my son's milkshake which had after 30 minutes had clearly been forgotten. We're regular cafe diners and I have never had such a disappointing brekkie experience. <br/><br/>We definitely won't be going back for brekkie and not sure if I'd even venture back for dinner. Shame as it had been so good.

Perfect for Rainy Study Day Sessions. This is the cutest cafe in the area by a mile! Free wifi, an excellent menu, tons of gluten-free options and plenty of space to sit and work (including an abundance of power points for plugging in); The Servery is a little ray of sunshine in the darkness that is the top half of Glenhuntly Rd. To be honest, given what else is on offer in this dreary area, I'll never understand how it got here, but I am very grateful that it exists!<br/><br/>The food is great. I've had the corn fritters, gluten-free caramel slice (delicious!) and the gluten-free pizza here, all of which hit the spot. The staff are happy to make concessions for food allergies and are very accommodating- another bonus.<br/><br/>The Servery's space is huge, but surprisingly warm (let's see whether it holds out through winter) and just so cozy. In addition to study sessions, I've had a couple of meetings here, and because of the free wifi and late hours (open until 10!), this venue works perfectly for both purposes. Sadly, the cafe closes early on Mondays (at 4pm), but I suppose you can't have everything...<br/><br/>Friendly staff? Well, here's another catch. It can be on or off with the staff members- some are warm, others surprisingly cold- but most of the time, you get at least a smile. The other catch? The bathroom is outdoors and consequently, freezing! You might want to keep this in mind if you're going to be hanging out here all day, but overall, the Servery is a great find and definitely one of the best all-day working spots this side of the river.

Great decor and menu. Breakfast was good, but below average service.

Awesome local cafe/restaurant. Friendly staff. Fast service. Beautiful, fresh, homemade, food that's healthy and lots of gluten free options. Definately coming back.

Top breakfast haunt. A group of us love coming here for breakfasts. The pancakes are scrumptious and the breakfast roti is amazing. Friends obsess about the eggs benedict with croquettes.

Jarrad. Great Pizza and Tapas... Reasonably priced too! Highly recommended as this is one of the best café/restaurants for a fair radius

We just popped in for a quick bite on a Tuesday night but we will be back, too many delicious items on their menu we want to try. We enjoyed the Calamari entre and a couple of pizzas, half of each are coming home with us. I certainly recommend this new addition to our local dining houses

Had the garlic prawns. NEVER AGAIN. Not good.

Great little place! Although I say little, it's actually quite far from that, but the ambience and quaintness of The Servery makes it feel so familiar and lovely especially on a dull, rainy day when you want to be tucked indoors!<br/><br/>They do a great brekkie and delicious coffee too! Benedict croquette was a delicious twist on the traditional eggs Benny! Menu looks good with lots of options I would want to try. Will be back again and definitely want to try out their tapas they offer in the evening!

The Servery has really nice decoration inside and has a really good lot of options on the menu. Unfortunatley I went once for brekky and once for dinner and both times the food wasn't so great - the brekky I had was a bit oily and had funny dried herb flavour in the corn fritters, and the pasta I had for dinner another time didnt have too much flavour and also came out lukewarm. Plus also I thought all cafes should have music playing? It seemed weird with no music! Lol! Anyway it is cute there so maybe the food might get better?

Very friendly staff, nice food and coffee and homely environment. Corn fritters and pancakes are amazing.

I have been there four times and recommend it. Good quality food, good service (except for one visit & I'll put that down to a 'bad day'). I have had breakfast, lunch and morning tea and will happily return. I find the meals good value and prepared with fresh, decent quality ingredients. They cater well for children; I was there with my four grandchildren & they enjoyed their food & my daughter & I liked the fact they were treated as valued customers not nuisances. <br/><br/>When I'm at a restaurant alone I enjoy reading the newspapers & those, & water are readily available. This is a welcome addition to the Glen Huntly area - and worth a drive if you are not a local.
