We have been going to So Pho So Good nearly every Saturday for lunch for at least a year and a half. The food, beverages and dessert are fresh and delicious. The staff and owner very friendly and accommodating. They also cater to vegetarians and vegans. Can't recommend So Pho So Good enough!
I take people here to eat all the time the food is always great and the staff are really nice. The coffee is great. I would highly recommend!
the food was delicious and authentic especially the pho, the duck curry was superb with rice and we the papaya salad nicely done different from the usual Thai one. The service was nice and friendly and the boss, Leo came up and chatted as if he had all the time in the world which he hadn't, of course. But he was very hospitable. I always get the Beef Pho and it never disappoints. Full of flavor and delicious. I tried the fresh made lemonade tonight and it is absolutely amazing! I have been looking for this type of lemonade since the day we moved here a year ago. Finally! Oh, and the people who work here are very friendly. I always look forward to chatting with them when I come in.
So pho, so amazing! Barely $20 for an incredible pho, bao and rice paper roll. Wish I lived closer, I'd be here all the time.

Cutely named, this quaint restaurant offers the usual signature Vietnamese dishes in addition to some scrumptious desserts. I am still savouring my coconut milk delight with jelly, jackfruit and lychees .... yum!!!
The flavour was delicious and a bit less salty than its traditional Vietnamese counterparts. And it does proper barrista coffee! Not the best location with potentially tricky parking but well worth a visit.

Cheap and decently sized Vietnamese here. We got the BBQ Pork Bao Buns, Roast Pork Belly Viet Slaw and Rice Congee with Chicken. It was all quite nice food but slightly underwhelming. It was very interesting to try a rice congee and would recommend for those who haven’t tried one. The interior is warm and cozy and was full of people.
On a bitterly cold and rainy day in Melbourne So Pho shines out of the cold like a tropical island mirage! Serving nourishing Sth East Asian soups packed full of warming and cold fighting ingredients. We had the pork wonton & the charcoal chicken pho (plus bbq pork bun & rice paper roll to start)
Good quality food, had the beef combo pho and the lemongrass beef Bún. The Bún was good but the beef combo pho was exceptional- the broth was very flavourful and the ingredients were very fresh, the pho purists might be upset with the fact that the sprouts came served in the pho and not on the side, but I didn't mind.
Came back at another date and had the pork belly banh mi, was very flavourful and the freshness of the ingredients contributed to making this sandwich a perfect quick bite to eat
This restaurant serves really delicious pho with fresh ingredients and a very tasty broth. I first discovered this place alone and loved it so much that I brought my in-laws here for dinner. It was a cold winters night, we specifically asked to be seated in the outdoor area where they turned on the heater, gave us some blankets, played some lovely music and served us some of the best Viet food in the area!
Tip: the outdoor seating area would be perfect for a private bday/anniversary function! Beer garden style.
Just a small restaurant very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Went for lunch with 2 friends. I had the Pho soup which was tasty and delicious and my friends had Com Tom with chicken and loved it.

Decided to finally give this place a go for some pho. Yum yum! Delicious. Got takeaway and the communication was great as they repeated the order back to me, advised me it would be 20mins but if it’s ready earlier we will call you. Sure enough in 15mins they called me. Also got the viet salad and vegetarian spring rolls spot on! Will definitely get pho in the winter from here!
Love the food here. Never a disappointment when it comes to the food. It does take a while for the food to be prepared but it is worth the wait!
So Pho So Good is a charming Vietnamese restaurant with a great atmosphere and lovely staff members. Their outdoor dining area is hands down one of my favourite dining spots on a warm summer evening, with fresh mint and various Vietnamese herbs growing in planter boxes. BYO beer and wine, but corkage applies to both.
Lots of fresh herbs and spices in the food, just like all good Vietnamese food. Their pho is tasty, but the beef variant can be a bit greasy. My favourite is the fish pho. The bo kho (beef stew) is the best I've had outside of Vietnam. The menu is on the smaller side, but everything they do packs loads of flavour.
My only gripes are that the service can be a bit slow during peak times, but the staff are lovely and make up for this. It is on the more expensive side for a Vietnamese restaurant, but considering it is in Glen Iris, the pricing is quite reasonable.
So Pho So Good is a Vietnamese cafe restaurant with modern interior and friendly staff. Here's totally different from other Vietnamese place. I've been here to take some food away.
Bún (chargrilled chicken) was yummy, and contained lots of veges and flavourful source.
Rare Beef Salad was delicious too. Although I am not familiar with Asian herbs, I like the flavour they create. I'll come back here to try their Broken Rice.
Vegetarian Bao was yum but didn't have much filling inside which was a bit disappointing. Tiny rice paper roll was really nice and the satay sauce I loved. Vegetarian pho - broth had really good flavours, but the mushrooms seemed like that had just been chucked in raw at the end, so they weren't very good. Flavour of the broth is really good, think the fillings just need a bit of work! I also really like it when you get extra herbs and bean shoots to put into your pho but we weren't given them, just some lemon and chilli. We were given hoisin sauce though which went well!
Ok. This isn't the most fancy place nor does it have the best menu on offer nor the cheapest but there is something about small cosy places to eat. Pho so Good is a place I love to drop in for a quick meal. The service is great, can be a little slow especially if it is busy but the staff are friendly and pleasant. The food is great, fairly close to home cooking esp the beef stew with baguette. My fav!

First visited So Pho So Good for a lunch outing with my family, and were very impressed by everything and so booked a table for dinner that night. An absolutely beautiful garden courtyard out the back with interesting and intriguing design features. The indoor dining room is also equally comfortable and pleasant - with a perfect amount of ambient noise.
The staff here were brilliant. Just brilliant. One young girl in particular seemed very dedicated to her job and brought a bright positive attitude to the restaurant, always smiling and happy to help or answer questions about the food. And she KNEW the food! Mum's a Celiac who's previously been told "The steak isn't gluten free" at other venues, so it's very refreshing when waitstaff actually KNOW the food they're serving!
The owner of the business was also around the restaurant when we were dining. Very, friendly and inviting, and wanted to make us welcome. He sat down and had a chat with us about his culture and food for a short time, and held a great big smile the entire time. Really the staff at this place go above and beyond, and with an owner/manager like that, I can see why the staff were (or at least appeared!) happy. Kudos to this man - you can really tell when a restaurant owner loves what they do, and this is very evident through every aspect of this restaurant.
Happy staff at a restaurant usually coincides with excellent food - this was no exception. The food was fresh and delicious on both occasions, came to our table with perfect timing (long enough to indicate freshly prepared meals, short enough to have us fed while we were happy).
Well balanced meals with nothing over or underdone, with prices that match the same principal. If you want some real, authentic Vietnamese food and a great atmosphere to eat it in, don't pass up this place.

Feeding myself with fresh and nutritious food is utmost important to me lately and often times, hard to accomplish when dining outside, especially non-salad friendly restaurants or cafes. So Pho So Good's owner Leo takes great pride in ensuring that his food is made without added preservatives and flavouring, a feat and claim that is hard to match these days.

Great local spot! Vermicelli Warm Salad is a must. Great service and very reasonably priced! Noticed a cool courtyard however it was raining so will be back to try again soon.

Good, tasty Vietnamese food out in the burbs. I'll keep coming back for sure! I've had the ban mi, pancakes and the coffee, all delish. Look forward to trying the rest of the menu :). They have high chairs too!
Stop in for a quick lunch, ordered chicken spring rolls and a prawn rice paper roll. All delivered very quickly and tasty. They have an outside courtyard that in summer will be awesome!
Great little place in Glen Iris, simple Vietnamese style menu. Service is a bit wonky but the food is very good for a quick and cheap lunch. Had a prawn salad and Vietnamese coffee which was pretty awesome.
Amazing banh mí and Vietnamese coffee. Great service, soundtrack and atmosphere. A lot of vegetarian options and Padre coffee too! Good choice for something a little different for breakfast!
I love this place, really fresh food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I recommend the rice paper rolls and the pho. Perfect setting for families and a beautiful outside courtyard with fairy lights and a variety of plants. Can't recommend this place enough! Also want to add the food is extremely fresh !

While it isn't as inventive and 'contemporary cool' as Hanoi Hannah but it makes up for it in traditional flavours, and laid back vibes. With a menu comprising mostly of Vietnamese street food, it really makes you feel like you have just walked into a local cafe in Vietnam.
The drinks here should get an extra mark alone.
All superbly executed and mouthwatering; homemade lemonade, lychee smoothie, Vietnamese coffee, whole young coconut etc etc.
Also great to have them open for lunch and dinner.

So I have been twice now and I'm a fan. The food is tasty and light. The spring rolls are lovely, steamed buns are also delicious. The broken rice with pork and the savoury crepes are the highlights. The staff are very on the ball efficient and friendly. The only negative is be prepared to wait. The food will come out in unusual order and can take a little longer than usual but the wait is worth it. So nice to have a decent Vietnamese cafe in our area. This could become a favourite.

I had the beef and my partner had the chicken and we swapped half way because they were both so good. Serving size was definitely more than enough for me because I couldn't actually fit it all in.

I think this place deserves more attention! I sometimes go there to get steamed buns or baguettes with coffee. They have a special deal if you go before 11am or so. Food is fresh. They have cute and cozy atmosphere, so I like it!
The food here is so fresh an the flavours are bright. I have eaten here three times in the last fortnight and cannot get enough. The Rice Paper Rolls are the best, the Pho is great (possibly could have slightly more spice) and the Vietnamese Pancake with Vietnamese Meatloaf is definitely worth a try. One last thing, the staff here are warm and friendly - give this one a try, you won't be sorry.
Great little restaurant,clean,modern and friendly. Menu isn't huge but the options are all good and fresh.we have been back twice already! The coffee was great too.
I had the broken rice and I loved it! It was neatly presented and tasted amazing. They have a unique selection of drinks and pastries, I had a lot of trouble trying to pick which one to get. The interiors are beautifully designed and make you feel nice and comfy.
Overall, I recommend this cafe to everyone, whether you just want a coffee or want dinner.
Delicious BBQ pork bun and pork spring rolls. Special beef winter stew with freshly baked baguette was tasty, and the vegetarian vermicelli with tofu was very fresh. Will be coming back for a lunch banh mi.

The rice paper rolls were exceptional so fresh and delicious. Also ordered the chicken Vietnamese slaw and once again was so fresh and fantastic flavours, as well as the lemongrass beef vermicelli noodle salad. The beef was delicious and perfectly cooked
So fresh and tasty, all cooked to order. Have been there 3 times in two weeks. Highly recommend the beef pho. Also family friendly, the staff were great with our little boy and made sure we had space for his pram without fuss.
I've ordered from here a few times now. The food is pretty reasonable and tastes relatively light. What *isn't* so reasonable is charging $9 for 4 spring rolls. I can accept the leveraging of a relatively niche market in the main dishes, which are about $2-$3 more expensive than other local places. But I can't think of a local Vietnamese place pricing a staple entree dish like this - $8 for 6 rolls is the closest I've seen.
Must do the spicy beef noodle soup. Spot on with flavour. I ordered Pho. The portion was massive which matched the $14 price tag. I had to ask for chilli, hoisin and they didn't give me any lemon. Not so authentic, but ok for the area. Let's face it, nothing similar around here. Padre coffee here - thank you! The coffee was delicious even though the barista was less than friendly (not the owner I'm guessing). Came here just for a coffee as we usually go to Two seeds or The Resident.

Delicious traditional rice crepe with pork, papaya salad, yummy prem spring rolls, efficient and friendly service, all for a good price. We paid $60 for 2 entrees & 2 mains. We like the small busy environment and tables still felt comfortably well spaced on a busy Saturday night.
In addition to the great food, the lovely owner took the time to have a chat with us, made the evening so much more special. Great food, great service. Vietnamese coffee to finish the meal 👌👌

Warm crispy fresh bread roll, corri, pickled carrot, a nice tingle of chilli through out with no huge whacks of chilli. And the pork, WOW! I dropped a piece on the footpath…still ate it.
What a fantastic place! The papaya salad was great - very light and tasty. Really enjoyed an iced Vietnamese coffee. The outdoor seating was very pleasant. Definitely come back here!
