Our breakfast was so delicious, the staff were efficient, discrete and most courteous. We returned for an early dinner. Our meals were worthy of our faith in the high level of care in their prep of well thought out menu. The staff were busy again, but maintaining an enjoyably relaxed atmosphere.
Only been a few times but it is quickly becoming one of my favourites! Great food, excellent variety of options, lovely staff amd just overall a nice place to eat. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Was recommended I go here from a friend and was thankfully told to make a booking which we did. Had a great table with very comfy seating (which is an achievement when two of us are heavily pregnant)
Food and coffee came out very quickly, and they even made food off the kids menu for our little man even though it wasn't lunch time.
Service was top notch and our lovely waitress couldn't have been more attentive without being annoying.

I had the best smoked chicken salad! It was, by far the most delicious salad I've had: perfect ratio of ingredients, excellent crunch and overall texture and the chicken was succulent -WOW!
The service was great and you can't fault the staff... but that is not the only reason why I gave it a 5 star...the serving is generous and the food is seriously good food...i am going back for sure..

Always my fav place for dessert 🤤🤤The Piatella Special Crepe was as good as always. You can never go wrong with Nutella bananas strawberries and cream. However the Berry Surprise waffle was a disappointment this time. It was way too soggy and the berry compote was a bit too acidic to me. Hopefully it will be better next time 😌
One of my all time favourite places for dessert! Piatella is always buzzing and will often have a line outside its doors. The waffles here are absolutely amazing and are made to order so you know you'll be getting fresh waffles every time. My favourites are the cookies and cream, piatella special and milo + oreo! The warm waffles paired with the cold icecream and yummy toppings are always so heavenly. I have been here so many times and definitely don't see that stopping anytime soon.
Absolutely love coming here at night for the desserts especially the crepes but decided to try it during the day. I ordered the halloumi burger and I was very happy although I wish I could have taken it home as it was very filling (no takeout policy). Although messy, the burger was delicious and something I’d never tried before. Halloumi is salty just a heads up! The chips were DELICIOUS, in my opinion, the best chips I’ve ever had in a cafe setting. As well, pecked a little of my friends pancake with Nutella and strawberries which was decent but I’d rather order something else like the crepes as pancakes were simple. Overall a great experience!
Dined for dessert before watching a movie. I ordered the just strawberries home made crepes. Loved the presentation & they were tasty & filling. Service friendly. Will return as would like to try other menu items.

Came here for desserts! Ordered the mars bar cheesecake served with whip cream, nutella roche macaron and Piatella specialty waffles that has nutella, bananas, strawberries and vanilla ice cream!
All I can say is the desserts was amazing! Cannot fault it at all! Definitely will be back when I want a treat! 👌

I only come here for their desserts (havent tried their savoury dishes yet)!! Their cakes and macarons are nice but their waffles are the best. I’ve had the matcha, espresso and the usual strawberry and banana waffles (my favourite). They are quite busy on friday and saturday nights so you would probably have to wait 15-20 minutes. Always worth the wait.

Very lovely staff. If you sit inside, it does get quite noisy, however, the room is beautiful! The service was outstanding, friendly, fast and attentive.
The Crêpe was all I needed on a rainy winter day. As you can see, they weren't stingy with ingredients!

It was my first time there today, but definitely not my last...
Came on a Tuesday night at around 6pm and the place was pretty busy, it had a family friendly ambience.
✔Generous portion for the American bbq made it worth the $30. Beef brisket was a little dry but I enjoyed having the dipping sauces and the corn on the cob there to make it up.
✔Risotto was flavourful and very rich and cheesy, right up my alley but maybe too much for others.
Waiters and waitresses are nice, we'll be back for dessert another night.
Awesome chicken parmi (Parma). I like how they used prosciutto instead of generic ham-gave it s. Ice saltiness! Garlic bread was nice and buttery. I tried three flavors of the vegan balls and didn’t really like them
I've been to Piatella a couple of times and each time I left pleased and with a full belly. I love the reuben there but unfortunately it's only available for lunch. I tried the seafood pasta too which was awesome but I have to admit I still dream of that reuben perfection!
I caught up with a friend here for coffee and enjoyed it so much that 1 hour turned into 2. The coffee was good and apple crepes hot, fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and fast, and seating and ambience was spot on. I’ll be back!

Attentive service with good ambience and delicious food.
Piatella serves a variety of delicious cuisines, our party of 6 didn’t have have complaints. The staff were happy to accomodate for vegetarian guests that requested meat to be omitted from their pasta dishes.
The beautiful, tender pork shoulder BBQ is a generous serving size, the meat was lightly flavoured with a Self serve of smokey BBQ sauce and aioli. The bed of beer battered chips remained crunchy and delicious regardless of the pork resting on top of it. The sliver of chipotle mayo served with the Corn was also delicious I only wish there was more of it.
The Mediterranean lamb salad was also a well balanced meal. A truly satisfying and filling “healthy” option. The lamb was perfectly cooked but, slightly too salty for my liking. However, it didn’t bother me too much to stop me from enjoying the meal. Overall, a quality meal for the price.

Seafood platter and linguini marinara - both awesome.
Seafood platter had everything you could want, and funnily enough one of my favourite parts was under all the octopus, scallops and mussels, there was rice which mixed well with the base to form a creamy risotto.
Marinara had the perfect level of creaminess balanced out with a light spice.
Service was also perfect. Everything was 5/5, except maybe the value is more of a 4/5 given the average size of the linguini dish.
Dessert heaven for someone with a sweet tooth like me. They have a wide selection of waffles, cakes & more! I wanna try them all! Desserts comes with ice cream or whip cream. Recommend trying their waffles, very nice & the portion will definitely fills you up.
They also have breakfast, lunch & dinner menu that looks really good, will definitely return & try them out!

Always a great dessert place in Glen Waverley after dinner!
The atmosphere is always bustling. Lighting is a bit dim but it fits the mood.
The desserts were tasty & full of sweetness. The Nutella crepe was delicious, packed with Nutella & strawberries. The crepe itself was nice and soft.
Not the biggest fan of the chocolate cake, it was pretty dry (probably from sitting in slices in the display cabinet).
The ice cream served on both dishes tasted a little low quality, artificially sweet & not very creamy (more icy).
The service was lovely & moves us from a high table to a booth when one became available. The food came out in good time & nicely presented.
Went here at 9:30pm on a Sat night and it was still very busy, waited 5 mins for a table and the service was great. We got the just strawbery waffle and the milo & oreo waffle - we liked the strawberry one more but you do you, advice: just get one waffle between 2 people (you get 3 waffles in a serving and a big scoop of ice cream plus the topping).
Love coming here for coffee, dessert and main meals. The food has always been consistently good in the many times I’ve dined here and reasonably priced and portioned. Prime and central location that makes it a joint that’s always super busy with wait lines. But t staff are always friendly and helpful.

Always a delight to come to Piatella, really nice location in the heart of Glen Waverley. Amazing food but most importantly amazing desert. The staff are extremely friendly and it's on the main strip of cafes so it's perfect for a night out with your friends, family, etc. Favourite is the crepes but everything I've tried here so far has been delicious. Definitely reccomend coming down if you have never been before. Great vibes.

Really loved this place for coffee and cake and would to return for a dinner service. The vegan chocolate cake and Mars Bar cheesecake were rich in flavour, but heavenly - yum! The staff were very attentive and friendly too :)

Took my wife here the other day for lunch and had the Reuben. I don’t usually write reviews but wow! That was the best Reuben I’ve had in years. I should know, I’ve spent 5 years in New York.
Went here for dinner last night. Food was great had the specials board steak and it was cooked perfectly.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating will definitely be back!
Went to Paitella tonight to have a lovely meal as a substitute for Valentine's Day.
Jess our server was very helpful and accommodating to my wifes dairy intolerance.
The Specials Board steak was so tender and paired well with the vegetables it came with.
The Beef Short Ribs were also fantastic with a lovely smoked crust yet tender and moist on the inside.

American Reuben style sandwich was hugeee!! It could probably feed 2 “medium” eaters. The chips were really nice and fresh! Pancakes were really sweet, but made a great dessert!

Have been here a few times and we had the seafood platter one time and then the meat platter the next. The food is pretty fantastic and you have to make sure you book as it gets pretty crowded!

Located in the heart of Glen Waverley, this cosy and casual cafe bar hosts an array of platters, cakes and beverages to suit all tastes. As a visitor from the past, what was great had now evolved to be better as the chef's techniques has created flawless dishes with perfect flavours and textures. Service is amazing and attentive; they were happy to provide a better table without asking during our visit. The ambiance is a mix of wooden and industrial. The front area has a cosy bar feel whereas the back area is brighter and quieter.

Piatella Cafe Bar is a restaurant has the vibes and menu of a versatile all-day restaurant that seems to be packed with locals all day long, with people just having a cute dinner date, to those celebrating a special occasion, or just a nice catch up over some coffee and a slice of their drool-inducing cakes from the cabinet. Their dinner specialty is the American BBQ grill menu, but also features a wide range of options from Italian pasta to Greek kofta. Whilst it’s sometimes disconcerting to have a restaurant with so many options, Piatella Cafe Bar does everything well, so it’s no surprise that it seems to be the go-to place for Glen Waverley locals.
Great ambience and attentive at this lovely styled restaurant. Came here to catch up with a friend I always come here to catch up with a friend over their amazing coffees the aroma is there and the thickness in the milk is just right. Tried out the seafood platter and wow that blew me away so many flavours and cooked so well. I'll definitely be back they pay attention to every detail here.

Whereas the flourless chocolate truffle cake was superly amazing, it was just perfect for satifying my chocolate cravings
For drinks, we tried their banana milkshake and italian style thick hot chocolate which were kind of usual, nothing special but yet again good for a common sip.
Would probably give a shot for brunch and visit this place soon.

Food : 4/5. Absolutely love the Just Smashing! The egg was cooked perfectly, combined with the crunchiness of the pine nuts and the delightful smashed avo; it was the perfect combination. The eggs Benedict with pulled pork combo was clever. The pulled pork was so juicy and tender. Dessert - the Piatella special was delicious and enjoyable.
Service : 3.5/5. It was a busy cafe. We had to wait in line for a table but it wasn’t too long. Servers were efficient in taking orders; however they took awhile to bring us our water. Had to raise my hand a few times to get their attention before someone actually came with a bottle of water.
Will definitely come back again to try the pastas!

This little cafe was one of my favourite places to go when I was in uni and since then they have really up the game in terms of the presentation and the variety of the food.
There is lots of space for larger gatherings and a nice place to have brunch with the family.

I went for the King Towers. While it wasn't vertiginous, it certainly was rich! This was incredibly creamy and crispy and oh-so-yummy but I think it should be a dish for sharing! I especially liked the homemade rosti (made with properly grated potato) with its crispy crust, and I loved the Kessler bacon. The bacon was scrumptious - thickly cut, with a hint of smokiness, the lovely fattiness and it tasted like proper pork (none of this water-injected bacon here!). The dish also came with slices of avocado and a good smothering of Hollandaise sauce which really upped the luxe factor to the dish.
The customer service is always great here with lovely staff and very helpful. This is always one of our favourite cafes to visit when we are in Glen Waverley.

Had Father’s Day dinner here with the fam and enjoyed our meal. The staff are very friendly and the food is good too! We tried the:
Pork / Lamb/ beef short Ribs: We tried all 3 as their American bbq meals sounded amazing. It came with coleslaw, onion rings, chips ( little soggy) , corn on the cob ( this was my favourite) and the ribs. Great portion size and all meats were cooked well! The beef short rib was the best!
Chicken Parma: Good old school Parma, the chicken was cooked well. Chips were slightly soggy as it was under the Parma.
salmon: salmon was cooked well and all the veggies with it were also cooked with a lot of care.
crepes: must try! Some of the best crepes I’ve had! Heaps of toppings to chose from. Great dessert to share with family or friends
Went here during father’s day. It was very crowded, but the staffs were very helpful and friendly. Ordered some waffles and soy latte. I really like their waffle. I ordered matcha and bananarama ones. They taste really good, not too sweet. However for the soy latte, it just taste okay. I really like the ambience, although crowded, you can still enjoy the food and the interior

Great service, and great friendly staff. Food was delivered fast and the great value. Highly recommend the crapes for those coming here. The environment is also great especially with the extension they added last year.
The cakes and desserts from here were so delicious. Favourite has to be the cheesecake and the lemon curd in the meringue was so tasty ! Unfortunately the red velvet cake was slight dry and I couldn’t really taste the red velvet flavour
Excellent table service, enjoyed lunch and dinner menus, not a massive fan of the waffles ( that’s just personal preference) I enjoyed the crepes and cakes in the display cabinet much more.
Menu pricing is a bit expensive but if you go with friends and share all the food it is much more enjoyable.
Be prepared to wait for >30min for ur dish as that’s roughly about how long the savoury dishes take to cook, not great if you’re in a rush.
Desert comes out faster but also depends what time you’re eating, it is really packed during dinner time on weekends as all the movie goers will just eat here.
Overall great ambience, friendly staff, great food, choose time of dining carefully if you don’t like to wait.

Amazing service, firstly. Came in for waffles a few weeks ago - also great service. Great food, great desserts, it is slightly on the expensive side, but worth the money. Lunch menu is a little short and no kids menu though. Dinner menu is much better.

We had the chocolate lava cake and the waffles which were delicious. Portion size of the waffle was big in my opinion. Could probably have 2-3 people sharing one.
The only disappointing thing was that it states on the menu that the waffle comes with maple syrup but it was served with golden syrup instead, hence I rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

Its a nice place for a date night. This place is the busies around Kingsway so we glad to tried it out. People said they're popular for the desser which is crepes or waffles and some cakes. We tried their crepes and honestly its just average (Nor special) and we also tried their restaurant's food which is pretty good. Portion smaller than expected. Service is really good as well, but I think because it's very crowded you sit pretty close with other peple, so you can't really hear ur coversation. Price is average as well. Recomend to share the dessert with someone else because it's pretty sweet, quiet big portion and very filling!
