Review Corlam Kitchen - Glen Waverley

The rice with 3 curries is perhaps the cheapest and best deal. Authentic Malaysian Indian curries and roti. I have been here for several years now, and this place never disappoints, especially when it comes to curries and food. Caution though, curries are a little spicy for some who are not use to chillies.
Sunny Days Melbourne
Super impressed with the authenticity and value of the dishes here. I had lunch on a weekday and selected a few dishes from their Bain Marie. The curry chicken was delicately spiced and the beef rendang was tenderly addictive. Service was on the slower and non chalant side but the food made up for it. Definitely a winner.
Michelle Tan
Yummy Sri Lankan food. We usually take the rice 1 meat and 2 veg but we also have the dosa, hoppers and pulled tea(Teh Tarik).

Food was delicious and freshly made. Loved the experience of Sri Lankan food. Prawn curry was sooo delicious ! Generous portions and hospitality ! Will definitely go back.

How come I found this place !!! amazing authentic food and home cook feeling but it has enough flavour!!!!!!
Wilko Jack
Have ordered take away here many many times. Value for money. 2 meat + 1 vegt is $13 with heaps of rice. Tasty curry and the goat is amazing.
Kim Unji
The Biryani with Lamb was awesome. There was kick in the spice and the rice was very fragrant and full of flavour. The yogurt will help with the spiciness if you find the spiciness too much to handle. The teh terik was as authentic as it can get. Definitely try it!

Pasembur / rojak and egg hoppers are super authentic. I can guarantee that it taste like the real thing that you can find in Penang, Malaysia. Nishala was very kind. She had introduce Sri Lankan cuisine to us when we visit. Delicious Kottu Roti. If you are a fan of spicy food, ask for the Spicy Sri Lankan chicken curry.
Ganesh Nagasamy
A bit noisy and busy lately but the taste is good. Chilli Idly and bru coffee combination rocks.
Dallas Achilles
Excellent Sri Lankan and Indian Cuisine at affordable prices. Have eaten here several times over the past 2 years and never been disappointed. Dallas Achilles

Being a regular diner I have had a chance to provide feedback to the owners about their dishes I must say that they are willing and able to make changes as they see fit
Marilyn Clews
food is good, except quite oily and not cheap , they charge for the plastic containers if you dont know about it.
Vijaya Kumar
I just love their currys because its very tasty ... and their price is reasonable
Shelton Jey
Really tasty & spicy food. Good value too.
Gerald Seah
Shocking food coupled with rude service. Why bother when there are two better Indian restaurants nearby. They will hopefully find out soon that customers will only tolerate so much

Best restaurant I ever been
Sezza
Very busy place. But very good fried kale and fish curry. My mom ordered the pasembour rojak, it was very delightful. Will definitely come back again.

A few specials available like Rojak. But Mediocre food bit too salty and spicy. Dirty venue and need a clean over .

We used to go to the place next door but since doubling it's prices we've been coming to Corlam Kitchen regularly to get our South Indian food fix.<br/>We used to love the dosa here but for some reason they have started putting sugar in it. Tonight I had roti, curry and okra. The okra and curry were spicy where it reached a point where I couldn't have anymore which was quite disappointing. And the dosa tonight was also a bit sweet which we found odd. Generally the food here is good but for some reason tonight it was not on point.
Kei
Food was mediocre. Chicken korma was alright, maggi mee goreng was too salty.

Summary<br/>A down to-earth Sri-Lankan/Indian diner serving good value fare<br/><br/>Background<br/>I have been visiting Corlan frequently over the last ~5 years<br/><br/>Keynotes<br/>1.Rice and curry is where its at. I’m personally biased towards the Chicken Curry, “Sri Lankan Chicken Curry” and Dahl<br/><br/>2.Serving sizes are always very generous<br/><br/>3.Sometimes there is a consistency issue whereby the curries are a little too viscous
Phat Ninja
Not many places in Melbourne serve Mamak Rojak/Pasembor, so it's a treat to eat it at CK. Especially when it's deliciously saucy and spicy, and a generous serve.
Patricia Nguyen
I’ve had the dinner set for take away a few times now, and have only been disappointed once because butter chicken was not available. The sets are great value for money because I usually have leftovers for another 1.5 meals! <br/><br/>Five stars because of the consistently tasty meals and range of options, not to mention generous portions. <br/>

New to this area and found a series of Indian restaurants on this street. Walked into this restaurant as there were a number of diners in there at 10.30am in the morning.  A positive sign that food must be decent. We got the 2 meat one veg meal as a takeaway for lunch and it was really tasty. The food is authentic, curry was really flavourful and the price was reasonable with big portions. Will come back again next time we come up to this area.

Stumbled on to this place and saw Maggie Goreng on the menu. I had to try this, as very rarely do you get the extra special Maggie Goreng with the thin egg noodles.<br/>Spicy, dark and with a fried egg of top, did not disappoint. All the food looked spectacular, will definitely be going back to try the other dishes.<br/> Got my eye on the curries and string hopper for next time.

Wanted to try the hoppers and decided to lunch here one day. <br/>Ambience : 3.5/5. No ambience but great location. Always busy especially at lunch. <br/>Food : 4/5. Hoppers were my favorite. Most of the curries especially the fish curry was delIcious and full of flavor. Overall the food were quite tasty. <br/>Service : 2/5. Very disorganized. During peak tome, this place is chaotic. Short of staffs could be the main factor. <br/>Will come back just for the egg hoppers.
Chaitra Naidu
Very tasty food for Indians and Sri Lankan’s. U can definitely relate to the taste of ur country. Cost friendly as well. Only drawback is chicken biriyani wasn’t that good. Except that everything else is phenomenal. Thanks.

Closed on Mondays. The Zomato app was wrong when it stated “Open from 11am to 11pm today (Monday).<br/><br/>I have been here before for their Rojak - good .

Order at the counter, and self-serve cutlery. All good. <br/>As for the food, we ordered two of the hoppers and a dosa. <br/>As the hoppers were nice and crisp, we quite enjoyed them. <br/>However, while the curries that came with the hoppers had nice flavours, there was not much meat in them and one of them was extremely cold- despite being in the bain-marie. This was disappointing as, had it been warmer, it would have been much tastier. Overall, we had an average experience at Corlam. Probably won't return as there are better options in the vicinity :)
Mark Rocque
Great food. Hot chicken curry was very, very hot but tasty. Egg hoppers were brilliant. Ambience is not existent - it's a Cafe. But the staff were friendly and helpful. Good prices too. Will be back!

I’ve only come to this place for the hoppers and thosa both of which are delicious. The curries are really nice in flavour however are a tad on the oily side. This place is really basic and has no atmosphere however the staff are lovely. The egg hoppers are cooked perfectly. My absolute favourite thing here is the coconut milk hopper for dessert! It is probably one of my favourite desserts and I’ve never seen it anywhere else, make sure you order this!
Michelle Lum
Went to Corlam Kitchen for some roti and curry. The butter chicken could have been a bit spicier. Unfortunately on the day we went we were told there was no naan. I asked for coconut rice and the man gave me plain rice with coconut milk poured over it...<br/>The roti had potential but unfortunately was premade and was soggy, chewy and doughy - it would have been a lot nicer if it was made fresh, rather than premade and cling wrapped together on a plate to serve customers.
AC
We lunched at Corlam. We picked 2 meats and 1 veggie from their food displayed in the bain marie and their hoppers (3 plain hoppers and 1 egg hopper) special. The curries were nice and had a good chilli hit without being overly hot. The stand out were the hoppers , thin and crunchy. The egg was still a little runny so it was delicious. The coconut sambal that came with the hoppers could be a little spicy. Service is ok. Will definitely return to try other items on offer.
Paddy Gunatilake
Went to get takeaway - only partial menu available. Asked for butter chicken- lady said that cream hadn’t arrived, asked for garlic naan, only garlic roti was available. Seems they prefer to cook the meals easy to them and not use the tandoor. Went across to Palm Gardens and got exactly what I needed. An Indian restaurant with no butter chicken is similar to a fish and chip shop with no flake - lol!! Better options around in that precinct.

We walked around the food places in Syndal and came across this place which served Sri Lankan, Indian, Malaysian food which I found quite interesting. We ordered the hopper deal for $10 and the Malaysia char kway teow for $9.90. I thought for the price, the portion was quite generous :). In terms of the food, I thought it was alright :)

Came here for a simple lunch with some golfing friends after a round of golf. The set lunch menu was great.  1 meat 2 veg + rice was $10 / 2 meats 1 veg + rice was $11.  Very reasonable price for a large portion ... very filling. You won't need dinner after this.  Selection of meats and vegies were good and fresh. Would recommend it for a simple / fast meal, if you enjoy curries !!

Never recommend any one to go to this place. Extremely poor customer service. The lady on the counter is very rude & unprofessional. kept us waiting for more than half hour, even though we ordered over the phone two hours ago. we bought groupon coupons and that's why they kept us waiting. also when we rang up to order they say ok, but the moment we mention groupon, they say that they do not have the same food item they initially said ok to.

Hit and miss. <br/><br/>First time we went here it was amazing food, not great service but had great variety there was great vegetarian options as well. <br/>This time I have left with a bad flavour in my mouth. The iced tea was room temp, the eggplant curry was over powering in Masala and had no balance of flavour. Yet the dhal was extremely bland. <br/>Such a shame as we thought it would have been satisfying meal
Rachael
The restaurant smelt delicious. Fresh curry smells in every corner and very fast seating and serving upon arrival. Slightly disorganised with the staffing but very accommodating and authentic. Will definitely go back. One of the best Indian places sampled.

This place is a hidden gem, we drove 20km or so just to try this place as we love indian/Malay food and I would have driven 50km just for this place! Wow, every element that hit my place was perfect! For a minute I truly felt like I was eating nasi kandar style food in Kuala Lumpur. The roti crisp and light - cooked to perfection with an amazing Dahl gravy. The coconut rice (as per our request normally serviced with plain white) was fresh and so flavoursome. Each curry was slow cooked to perfection, absolutely loved the eggplant curry - so delicious! We washed down our feast (it truly was a feast, we are foodies and could not come close to finishing a plate - 2 fairly full containers coming home) anyway we washed it down with 2 ice teh Tarik, absolutely on point perfect. Every flavour and sound and smell here reminded me of being back in Kuala Lumpur, and the prices weren't far off either, only $10-11 for lunch or dinner 3 curries and rice!!! $2.5 for roti and only $3 for teh Tarik. I will be back fairly regularly from now on, we've found our new special place that gives us a taste of holidaying without being on holiday. Thank you everyone here at corlam kitchen. Oh and a huge special mention to the massive surprise and highlight of the trip the coconut sambal! Wow, never had a coconut sambal before but it is incredible and the best one I've ever eaten. Don't take my word for it, come down and try this place it's amazing.

We ordered Nasi Lemak with lamb and a masala dosa with mango lassi. I really like the sambal chilli with the Nasi lemak, and the lamb was really tender. However, the rice was just plain basmati rice without the coconut fragrance, which was disappointing. On the other hand, the dosa was pretty decent- the spicy potato filling was flavoursome and the dahl that came with it was thicker than at other restaurants. Mango lassi was more milky than I'd like, but still good.<br/><br/>Prices are competitive and some interesting Malaysian dishes are offered too. Bain Marie dishes look so inviting too. Worth a try if you're in the vicinity.
Brekkycakes
Unassuming restaurant along Blackburn Road but provides great food at a low price and is close by!<br/><br/>Ordered the masala dosa for takeaway which came wrapped up in foil. Haven't had many dosas to compare against but this one was really nice although was slightly soggy and cooled down by the time I ate it at home. The sauces and curries it came with were very tasty and I enjoyed the bite from the coconut. Do note that it is fairly spicy even though they don't look it. The mango lassi was creamy with strong flavours of mango and was great to combat the spice! The prices from what I could see on the menu were all very afforable and makes for a cheap but hearty meal. Can't wait to come back for the hoppers here.<br/><br/>The restaurant is simple but rather cleaner than expected. I assume it's a family establishment as when I arrived to pick up my order, the servers were all gathered at the table and came up to serve me. I didn't find them particularly friendly but service was fairly efficient and I wasn't expecting much in terms of service anyway.

Be aware of the Merchant. Got three vouchers, they took the vouchers scanned them and and then said one of them was already redeemed. Vouchers were just bought 2-3 hours before. Requested them to check if they have already scanned them but they refused and told me to contact Groupon. Not much you can do after that. Contacted Groupon and thankfully got a refund from them. <br/><br/>The food itself is good but the voucher deal is not honored in the correct way. The Srilankan Thali meal that was given had 70% rice and 30% Curry. All you could taste was rice. The Dosa meal was good but the mixture was put inside the dosa and became soggy by the time you reach home. Needs to be packed separately. Mango Lassi was good. Also got the Spinach Vada and Chicken Pan Roll which were decent.
Littlemissyh
Decent Malaysian/South Indian food and really big portions! The lamb murtabak was delicious, the teh halia was not too sweet and the hoppers were nice too. We took away some curry puffs which I think is one of the better ones I've had in Melbourne.
Manoj
Best Authentic Sri Lankan/Indian/Malaysian cuisine Restaurant in the eastern suburbs. The closest thing to an authentic home cooked meal at very cheap prices. Servings are also very generous. Highly recommended.
Jennitals
LIT!: vegetarian curry was surprisingly flavourful with good texture however.. <br/><br/>NOT SO LIT: the butter chicken was so disappointing. I prefer western butter chicken, but this was neither had western influence or authentic. It was strong in tomato and wasn't creamy at all. I loveee cheese naan but there was a slight hint of cheese <br/>

Always the Hopper meal. Consistent in quality. Love the lamb curry. Happy shop owner. Always there to greet you with a smile. Food serve quickly. 👍🏻

The food here is great, very authentic. The curries are hot, and dosas are lovely, and the pan rolls are also cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit for a good value lunch.

very friendly staff! nice dishes and location just off syndal station. Reasonable price would definitely recommend. ordered mee goreong for take away, very nicely mixed with lots seafood and noddles is bouncy<br/><br/>👍👍👍

Have been there many times and introduced to my family and friends.  All agreed that the food was great.  Have tried their many curries and all tasted good.  Normally will go for the set 2meat+1veggie with roti or rice.  Their roti is Malaysian roti canal - good but sometimes can be a bit doughy compared to fluffy. Also serves very good tosai and lamb or chicken biryani. Vadeh and curry puffs are a good starter.  Casual setting.
#alwayshungry
We ordered the kottu roti and masala dosa. The kottu roti was in the bay marine which I didn't know at the time I ordered so was a bit apprehensive. Ohhhh my god the kottu was amaaaazing. Definitely the best I have ever had. My partners masala dosa was also good but the kottu stole the show. Service was good and the food was priced well. We'll definitely be going back
MelbfoodCritic
Casual style dinning. Curry was in brain marie but taste was good. Try their hoppers & string hoppers were very good & taste authentic. Hoppers had that milky taste & crispy texture. String hoppers were soft & tasty. Eggplant curry & potato curry was fantastic. Family runs business & staff appeared friendly. Cheap price. Attentive service. Comfortable seating however nothing too exciting about the ambience or atmosphere. Considering above overall rating 3.2*<br/><br/>Update: WARNING: Check your bill cause they tend to overcharge & it happened to us twice. Later changed after we enquire about that. Looks like they did it on purpose. Dodgy!!!

Just really tasty food! Real spice, real flavour, no frills. I like to go in off-peak times to beat the crowds because the place does get busy.

It was our first time at Corlam Kitchen as a family and we all left extremely happy and satisfied with the food and service. We had the hoppers and we highly recommend them to anyone who has't tried them before. They come in sweet and savory and both are great. The chicken tikka was delicious and tender and the malaysian style tea was really good as well. The waitress was calm and nice even though it was quite busy. The bill was surprisingly reasonable for the amount of food we had. We are definitely returning to try the other tasty sounding items on the menu.

Last Wednesday had to be the worst day in 2016 for me on various accounts. Call it back luck if you may and when things turn sour, I tend to crave for a hearty meal that can instantly, yet temporarily, take my mind aboard a mini holiday. Similar to binge eating but not to the same extent I suppose:p
The Whippeteers
FRAZZLED AND FABULOUS!<br/><br/>That was Corlam Kitchen tonight.  But, even though they were a in a bit of a TIZZ at the front counter, the food was EPIC.  The flavours were GORGEOUS. Not salty like other places.  Nice meat, not tough or chewy.  Serving size was good.  CHEAP EATS also!<br/><br/>We reckon on coming back and trying the HOPPERS, which they do every day.<br/><br/>Probably best to come here when you are not in a RUSH or FAMISHED.  Things take time here.  Some of the locals/regulars bring a BOTTLE OF PLONK and settle in for a THE WAIT.  BUT from what we enjoyed tonight, it all seems WELL WORTH IT!
Jit
For a reasonable priced meal and for a frequent change of vegetable dishes, try this restaurant.<br/>You may find yourself coming back again and again as we have done.<br/>Our favorite food is mee goreng but remember to tell them to fry it with less oil<br/>The lamb kothu is spicy and tasty<br/>The teh tarih halia isn't as genuine as what we would get back in Malaysia<br/><br/>
Jimmy Chew Food
It's true that they have less Indian-Malaysian options than other similar restaurants, but I wanted to test out the mee goreng, being the mee goreng fanatic that I am. Even for Indian style mee goreng (which isn't my favourite), it was pretty bad. It was the most tasteless I've ever had, and what's more--absolutely swimming in oil. An unsettlingly unnecessary amount of oil. I couldn't even finish it, and that says more than words can when it comes to me and my food. I'm giving Corlam Kitchen a 2.0 because I prefer to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt after only trying one bad dish. I would hope that the rest of the fare here is done to a better standard, and will attempt some of those before I go handing down a 1.0.
Asitha
Rather than doing one thing well. These guys are trying to do too many things. For example last time I checked these guys had Malaysian, indian , singapore and sri lankan dishes. Only dishes I can recommend are hopper deal and regular/ string hopper kottu. If you are after Malaysian try Dannys down the road and for south/ north indian, palms across the street.
Snowflower
Was about to enter the restaurant a few doors away when we saw Corlam Kitchen. Ratings looked good so decided to check it out. Should have stuck to the original plan. Curry puffs were soggy. Briyani was overwhelmed with salt. Roti wasn't quite as fresh. I guess we won't be coming back anytime soon.
Bloo
I'm a regular at this place! Good value and friendly service from staff, but there tends to be a wait for food and drinks to be served. Often, drinks come halfway or at the end of the meal! Their curries are not as sweet as other places, which is a plus. Overall their food is enjoyable and satisfying.
Lincoln Feathery
Amazing food, but maybe needs a few more wait staff... Because it's almost impossible to order when it's busy. <br/><br/>Get the sweet hoppers. Get them. Why haven't you gotten them yet?
Pineapple San
Solid Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. Their curries are nice, but nothing particular to rave about. What I really like about this place, though, is their hoppers. This is the only restaurant I've been to that serves incredible hoppers (both savoury and sweet)! However, it takes a while as they prepare it on order.<br/>Their rotis are alright, but could be more fluffy and crispy. <br/>The huge portions, though, are a really big plus! The rice+2 meat set can easily fill up two people, no problem. <br/>Will be back for the hoppers! :D
Thom
The easiest way to describe this place is that it is Australia's answer to "Fawlty Towers".<br/><br/>Under-staffed, people's meals are delivered at different times so some eat while your friends watch on.  If you pre-order the food is never ready the time time it was book for collection.  Sometimes they forget parts of your order so you don't get everything of what you ordered.<br/><br/>You are taking a risk if you go there to eat or use them for catering.  My recommendation after personal experience and speaking to others who have been there is to AVOID THE PLACE.
Alexander Yap
Tasty. Pittu Kottu with fish is very tasty, mildly spicy & big serving, though a bit too salty for me. The hoppers are soft in the middle & crispy on the edges, perfect with the coconut topping.
Rhe
Authentic food. I'm picky when it comes to Malaysian and Indian food as I grew up in Malaysia. This place does a pretty good job with their dosa, naan and roti. Their curries are pretty authentic, and I dare say they are the best for its price range in the Glen/Mount Waverley area.
Anoma
Excellent Food. I drive 15k to Corlam Kitchen for my rice and curry I only buy from here since I got to know this place. food is very fresh and authentic just like home cooked and you don't feel heavy after the meal. I would recommend this "no frill" restaurant to anyone who like curries!
Honeybadger
Great food!. I stumbled across this restaurant while looking for quick bite and the food was great. Dishes are value for money and full of flavour. I particularly enjoyed the roti, garlic and cheese naan, highly recommended!

Worth Trying. We have tried the Hyderabad Buriyani and few other dishes and they are simply superb. Excellent Customer Service and price is reasonably good. <br/><br/><br/>Vino

Hidden gem! Great Indian Food. I work in the general area (near Monash University), and am not excited about the mediocre (at best) choices around. I walked into this place for lunch not expecting much, but I was surprised at the variety and quality of food. I had the Lamb Curry, Chicken Curry, and a bit of the beef curry. All were very tasty and fresh. -The lamb, was nice and spicy -something that's hard to get right. <br/><br/>The decor is very basic. I think they still must be setting up shop. Don't get put-off by the cafe-style sparse layout - you definitely get authentic restaurant dishes. In fact, in a weird way, I like the hole-in-the-wall family-run type restaurants for that very reason. You get surprised how good the food is.<br/><br/>The price was extremely affordable. In a city restaurant, you'd be easily paying up to $30 for similar quality food, which I paid $12, including soda. You get generous amount as well.<br/><br/>If you're in the area, it's worth trying!<br/>wkhan10

Brilliant!!!. Best indian food I have ever tasted!!! Reasonable prices and great service! You must try the garlic naan!

Mix 101. Serving up North & South Indian, Malaysian, Singaporean & Sri Lankan cuisines means there are plenty of options at Corlam Kitchen, in fact the menu lists almost 100 dishes.<br/>Indian dishes looked to account for the lion’s share of the menu & such curries take pride of place in the large bain-marie that shares the dining area and services the take away clientele.<br/><br/>Sticking to the Indian dishes, we started with an entree serving of chicken tikka. Unfortunately it was verging on the dry side and the flavour hadn’t really penetrated deep into the meat like it should. <br/><br/>My masala dosa ($6) fared much better. It was a generously proportioned, crisp and the masala potato filling was pretty good. The accompanying sambarr was much darker and thicker than I’m accustomed to, but tasted okay.<br/><br/>My partner’s prawn masala was a winner with a nice amount of heat that seemed to build as you continued to eat.<br/><br/>We tried a couple of vada (pre-prepared) which were okay, but undoubtedly better when cooked fresh to order rather than left to dwell in a bain-marie.<br/><br/>In terms of value this place is really excellent with our entire meal not much more than thirty something dollars, plus there’s the ability to BYO. Not everything was extraordinary, but given the number of dishes on offer, I’m not convinced that we necessarily sampled the best that Corlam Kitchen has to offer.
Ckasimir8
Excellent food and service. We only tried and loved the goat and lamb curry. They are authentic and very tasty.<br/>We just had to go back to Corlam the next day.<br/>They are also reasonably priced.
Steve
Basic. Went there for lunch a month ago, food tasted good. and then went there for our second time recently food was average. not maintaining the consistency of the food.. but the service is good.
Darren S
With the exception of the Briyani, everything is bland and tasteless. The roti is thick and not fluffy. It's admirable that they make everything from scratch but they really need to up their game in the taste department is they wish to compete with the likes of papparich and the Indian places in Clayton
C3164856
New hidden wonder!. We only noticed this place when parking to go to the palms restaurant across the street. We had a quick look at the menu and decided to try this place instead as the prices were more reasonable than palms. The interior was a little plain but when the food came out, we were amazed at how good it was. There was literally nothing left on our plates and the malaysian tea (teh tarik) was so good I had to get another one. I wish they had this place where I'm from in NSW.

By Denny On 13 March 2015 · Leave a Comment Corlam Kitchen on Blackburn Road in Glen Waverley is one of the better Indian/Malaysian restaurants in the area. Somewhat hidden in the sense it’s away from the Kingsway hub but still situated on a main road so it gets plenty of traffic passing by. My favourite Indian place to eat is and has been for many years, the shop in the derelict Dandenong Hub Arcade food court. Perfect blend of spicy and aromatic spices. Corlam Kitchen, although doesn’t ascend to the top, it does remain in my go to places if I want Indian/Malaysian food around the area. Corlam Kitchen has a wide selection of Rice, Roti and Curry dishes to appease your Indian cuisine cravings Their Nasi Briyani is rich with flavour, aromatic however the rice served was not as dry as I would have liked. The curry accompaniment adds the creaminess and spices to the dish, and for something to cleanse the pallet a bit it is also served with a yogurt side dish. You can also order something like Nasi Kandar, selecting a few dishes with rice. Here is their Sambal Eggplant with rice, it’s actually quite nice, with just enough spice and sweetness in the sambal. The sambal isn’t as good as it is in PappaRich but overall it’s a pleasant meal. The Lamb Murtabak at Corlam Kitchen is quite generous in its offerings, with the lamb filling stuffed inside the roti. What I would have liked is if the Murtabak itself as a tad more crispy on the outside however the meaty filling inside with the curry sauce is one of the better Murtabak’s around and to be honest the tasty curry sauce that comes with it isn’t enough to eat my way through the dish. Other than that, it’s probably number three as my favourite places to order it ( Taste of Singapore and Mamak as one and two) Impressions
