Review Chong Qing Hot Pot - Glen Waverley

Cheap and very good variety of ingredients for hotpot. However it's extremely hard to go with a huge group as the table structure is awkward and the pots are tiny. The service was rude, ignoring us a few times when we wanted to get drinks. Towards the end, there was a very wet patch on the floor. The girl continued to clean the table and didn't leave a wet floor sign. I almost slipped when I went to get more food.. after 5 mins they decided to do something about it. They proceeded to put newspapers to cover it instead of wiping it with a mop. It's like they're asking to get sued. - Food wise it was good, huge selection, hot foods were delicious - Services was horrible - There's a huge problem with their understanding of OH&S

Terrible service on a Saturday night!! We didn't mind waiting the 25minutes for our table as we indeed didn't have a reservation. However once we sat down, we were asked twice within less than a minute for our drinks order and when we said we were still deciding both times, we were brought water to drink instead. About 10 minutes into eating our meals, we were asked if we wanted containers for our leftovers (thinking this would be nice to have later on we said yes). We were then brought the containers plus the bill. Another 10minutes after this we were brought a spoon and fork to help us put our food in the containers...not that we had asked for this. And after getting some glares and eyeballing, we were asked by the manager/owner to move to the "waiting area" as they needed the table. We were not done eating and had paid to eat at the restaurant no matter how long it took us. If you want to impose a time limit for your patrons, you should advertise this fact in advance. Would not recommend at all, the food was average.

This restuarant has horrible service and does not abide by their strict time schedule. Even though we had a booking, we have to wait half an hour to get a seat on a Monday night when there are almost no customers. If thats the case, why bother making a booking? On top of that, we essentially had to service ourselves as the waitresses arent doing their jobs. Thanks for a horrible experience and knowing never to come back.

We didn't had hot pot, although it seem most popular here, however the dishes we had, the taste is not so traditional (compare to Sydney - where we based) and the ingredients isn't so fresh, quite disappointed.

Had the Hot Pot buffet. The staff are very friendly and the service is great. Unfortunately the food is just ok with the quality and cuts of meat slightly disappointing.

Not the best buffet hot pot as the quality is not as great as others but still a fulfilling dining experience.
