A lovely and quaint spot in The Glen with lovely ambience and tasteful decor. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. I had an eggs bene with salmon. Yes it is a tad pricey but the food was good quality and overall had a lovely relaxing experience. Def be back again
A good location in the shopping centre for a rest. I love the ice coffee. Also have some choices to have a light lunch here. It is a little bit crowded inside the restaurant, it's inconvenient to have a pram inside.
ordered their banana deluxe, it was overly sweet, and their shingle inn ice tea was actually bottled ice tea just mixed with mint and lemon in the glass?
gourmet steak sandwiches, the steak was a bit tough to chew,
i think the decent thing about this place is the coffee, the barista know what shes doing, i think her name is amber.
Very nice cappuccino and latte, takeaway. You can tell that the barista took his time and did it right. Probably the nicest I've had at The Glen shopping centre.

But i prefer good coffee with average service, to the other way round.
We'll be back.
Good coffee, nice service. Quite enjoyable. Love the caeser salad and the fresh made waffles. Will definitely come back again. :)
Great brand, yummy lime mint julep, lackluster management & staffing. Pros: The Shingle Inn (a franchise/brand - more on that later) is a moderately pricey and a relatively "premium" cafe experience within The Glen shopping centre, offering coffees, light meals and high tea. Pros: The lighting, decor and furniture is classy and attractive. I tried their "signature" Lime Mint Julep (I figured the signature drink has to be good, right?). It is basically a sweet milkshake but I was pleasantly blown away by the interesting flavour. Very sweet, but definitely one to try. I also ate their gourmet steak sandwich with rustic style chips. The beef & Turkish bread was quite fresh with just the right amount of mustard and sage/onion marmalade. Cons: For such a well thought out and attractive brand/franchise, it is a shame that the execution of the management and staffing was sub standard. The owner/manager did not seem interested in his staff beyond giving commands, and this seemed to affect the staff, who were civil enough but unenergetic and not particularly enthusiastic about serving. Wir: I hope the staffing issues can be resolved because I rather enjoyed their signature drink. For the relatively high price (within a shopping centre) the management and staffing really should be more professional than it was when I visited. Let's hope they improve...
