Great italian restaurant. Had the cheese garlic bread, carbonara pasta, half and half Hawaiian and Meat lovers pizza. There was a slight mix up with our order but the staff we nice and helpful and fixed everything up.

Love the staff, so friendly and always go well beyond! The food is great and well portioned and the kids menu is great!

Tues evening at 6pm was lovely and quiet. Attentive and friendly staff/manager. Pasta and pizza came quickly and was delicious. Quite a few people got takeaway esp pizza while we were there - seems popular, and the pizza talks for itself. Dessert was very rich and decent sized. Overall clean restaurant. Toilets out the back. What more do you need? :)

This is the worst Italian Food that we had today for dinner and spoilt our evening. The basic Margarita pizza cannot go wrong with most Italian restaurants but see pic from this one. The texture was like rubber and tasted like they put vegemite as topping. Horrible! Even the pasta had no soul. Tasteless food, will never order again!

Staff were friendly and attentive. My friend and I ordered garlic bread to share which was nice . The vegetarian pizza that I had was a good size and very tasty . The pizzas are reasonably priced. This was the first time I have been to this La Porchetta and I was very impressed .

Love your pasta, better than those on Lygon street. I would definitely recommend dishes from the signature menu, the quality of food is awesome and consistent.

This was the first time I tried the restaurant with my girlfriend. Kinda regret not coming here earlier despite her insisting many times. Absolutely loved the Bruschetta on garlic bread base and the Bolognese Sphagetti. The jug of Lemon, Lime and Bitters was an absolute pleasure. All that delicious food left the two of us feeling the need for stretchers to get out when it was time. Definitely coming back here in the future!

Came here for a friends 18th, absolutely loved the food. The costumer service was great and the portions were huge. The sauce that came with the meat platter was so good we ordered another batch of chips just to use that as a dip. The amount of pasta and sauce had a perfect balance. Loved it!

Love coming here on a weekend just to relax I use to be an ex local so this was my go to pizza place. I enjoy having the Super Special pizza from here, full of flavour so many toppings on the pizza which just makes this one just so special. Pizza sizes are well sized especially the large, food is quick to come out and the customer service wins my vote here.

Rating 3.5<br/>The restaurant was empty when we visited which meant we the complete attention from the waiter. He was friendly and had made conversations with the table quite often. The mocktails were ordinary, do not recommend. However, the pizzas were delicious and well proportioned. Price is a bit expensive but I think it's worth it. Garlic bread were quite dry.

Came here for dinner on cold Saturday night. Got a table immediately. Did not wait long for our food to arrive. I requested for room temperature water and the co-owner came with a glass of warm lemon infused water. Service is always great here. Generous portion of food serving too. Simple and delicious. <br/>Just a stone throw from us. Will definitely come back, like always.

Came here on a weeknight and it was reasonably busy! The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly, offered suggestions what to order. We took him up on the idea of seafood pasta which was delicious!! The pesto pizza and the mozzarella sticks needed a little bit more flavour. In saying that, the servings were very generous and we would return for the yummy pasta and excellent customer service!

Amazing food! Went here with all the fam, tried different meals. Family ordered Parma,porterhouse steak, risotto, ribs, rib eye steak!! Sooo yummy!!!!!!!!!!! The sauces are the best!! Thank you thank you for serving us amazing food!

Ordered delivery and the food was hot and delivered in a timely manner. Really hit the spot for a Saturday night pasta craving. Huge portion for the price. Would recommend!

Terrible! Came here with family last night and by the time we were home we shortly felt ill equating to stomach pains, vomiting and headaches. Do not recommend unless you want to take sick days.<br/><br/>Furthermore, food and service were not up to scratch even though it was not busy at all, as one of the only ones in the restaurant.<br/><br/>Money better spent elsewhere

The restaurant was very hot inside. We ordered a rib eye steak, medium cooked. It came over cooked and dry. The pepper sauce has no pepper taste at all. The burger was also very dry. We had to wait for nearly one hour for our food to come. Waited for a long time for even a jug of water to come. We will definitely not go back again. In fact we haven't had such a bad restaurant experience for a long time.

The man at the counter was friendly and led us to our table. 5/5 for value for money bec the serving was big enough to share and I booked through eat club which gave us 20% off! I work a few blocks from this place & I always take out for lunch , this weekend I decided to dine in and what an amazing experience it was ! 👑<br/>We ordered some pastas ( fettuccine shrimp avocado ) & Ribeye steak which was perfect 👌 <br/>They have a very people person manager there and he was offering ice water to the takeaway customers and watched over every table ! Talk about quality service ! He can read our minds 👑<br/>Highly recommend this place for dine in as I will always be coming back for that pasta & service ! <br/>Well done ✅ 👑💋💋

Great place to cure you Italian cravings for a reasonable price. The food was tasty but the pasta lacked flavour. The cakes were delicious.<br/><br/>Service was friendly but a bit lacking, and weren't really there when you needed them.

Was one of those family dinner picks which we do every second Friday night. Service was pretty good. Everything was pretty stock standard for what you would expect from a place like this. Not much else to say. Bit of a hike to the bathrooms, maybe management should step back and have a look at what is seen to and from the bathrooms. They would definitely tidy things up.

Good experience!!. Wonderfull experience over all was seated very quickly and had a very good waitress i haven't been to a la Porchetta in years but I must say this is the best one I've been to so far I got there new special chicken mustang it was delicious my husband got the bbq ribs and loved them it's hard to find a good quality resturants thats affordable but this one is great choice definitely coming back soon.

Love the bbq ribs. I've been eating in the Glen Waverley shop for the last 2 years and I can surely affirm that I never found any other serve of ribs so generous tasty and well garnished, I go there at least once a week and I will keep going there due to their consistently good service

Another horrible experience. Went there for dinner last week and ordered a seafood plater and mixed grill platter. The meat was burnt and the fish had a chlorine taste...disgusting!The experience was very unpleasant and will not be going back.

Horrible experience. I came here tonight with my partner and sat outside. You dont get service outside and rather have to walk in to talk to a waiter/waitress. I got a gnocchi bolognaise and my partner got a pesto and chicken casarecce. She ate just a few of bites as the pasta was undercooked and the sauce was completely overpowered by pesto which had a potent smell to it. On my dish the gnocchi was extremely doughy and the bolognaise simply tasted fresh out of a bottle. <br/>To finish the experience off, my partner ended up ill from her food.<br/><br/>I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and would strongly advise not to go here.

Staff not so welcoming. We visited this place on good Friday evening for dinner and things did not begin well. We called up as it was almost 8:30 pm and we wanted to make sure the kitchen was open. The male who answered said normally until 9 but they may close early. Not very inviting?? Anyways, ordered what we normally order at most La Porchetta's. We had a Mexican small pizza and a penne pasta in mushroom sauce n 2 small coke zero's. (told 600 ml is unavailable) Pizza was too cheesy and missing salami's. Overall 4/10. Mushroom pasta was a bit dry so we asked for more sauce and the waiter outrightly refused saying nothing could be done. 5/10. overall not so happy.

It's been too long since I last had Italian meals and so, when the craving kicks in, it comes with vengeance. I am no expert in Italian cuisine but I do know that Italians love their pasta and pizza dough..ohh and don't forget their wines too, possibly some of the better white wines I have had thus far. La Porchetta for the budget friendly consumer aka forget about decorating the plate, just give us hearty portions of delicious food. Staff here are extremely friendly and attentive, rest assured there are plenty of seating areas for diners (read less noise pollution from neighbouring tables haha). Garlic bread ~ would have liked the bread to be a bit more thicker but that's just a minor comment. Every bite had sufficient garlic infused into the bread. Be warned if you are dating a vampire haha. Porchetta pizza ~ the pizzas here come in small, medium and large sizes so one can easily tailor their needs. The pizza was not soaking in oil unlike some other places and was seasoned to my liking. Gnocchi pesto ~ gnocchi can be a very more-ish type of pasta for some and when paired with a creamy based sauce, this might not be something you want as a main, especially if you are not sharing. Gnocchi was pillowy soft and shaped into bite-sized pieces. On the other side of town, I've wandered along Lygon street and finally planted myself in their restaurant. Based on the staff's accents, I am 99.5% certain that they are Italians and their love for their food runs deep in their veins. The menu is pretty simple to digest and if you are ever confused with some of the terms, do not be afraid to ask. This was their special pasta of the day which was loaded with two different types of cheese and bits of bacon. One can tell that their pasta is not from the supermarkets and every ingredient in this dish worked well with each other. A very simple dish done well. Porcini mushroom pappardelle ~ at first, I was skeptical about ordering this purely because it might be a little too stingy in

Would recommend!. Went out to eat with boyfriend at good old La Porchetta just before Christmas, and we weren't disappointed! Generous meal sizes, prices are reasonable. Ordered three dishes to share: Wedges, bruschetta and a pasta dish with pesto and chicken from the "posh" menu? Apologies as I cannot remember that name of the last dish, or the name of the classy menu (I think it was called signature)? Pasta was a standout, even though you could tell it was regular packet pasta. Sauce was flavourful, well balanced and creamy without being too heavy. Chicken was plentiful, and was moist too. Wedges were as expected. Crunchy, and served with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce without having to ask (which is such a nice change). Brushetta mix was full of flavour, and the finely chopped fresh garlic in the mix was a pleasant surprise. My only complaint was that the brushetta base was cooked a bit too long, and was so crunchy that the tomato mix jumped off as I bit into it! All staff were wonderful, none of the young wait staff were on their phones or loudly talking about their private lives. We were given space and time to order, and did not feel like we were being rushed out. Staff were a little pushy regarding the up sell of drinks and desserts, which was a little uncomfortable, but you could tell that they were puppets being pulled by the management's strings. Overall, a pleasant evening, and we will be back :)

Perfect!. La Porchetta Glen Waverley is without doubt the best La Porchetta I have been to. The food is consistently meeting my expectations and taste-buds. My number one favorite has to be the carbonara or pollo e funghi. The staff are fantastic and friendly, always welcoming. Though, as the saying goes, treat others how you would like to be treated. I love traveling the half hour one way to La Porchetta Glen Waverley for their great hospitality! Keep it up! :)

Excellent, but avoid the lasagne.. Quickly seated with friendly service. The staff are constantly checking in on customers, you may find this to be a positive experience, or it may annoy you, as it is quite frequent with different staff. They provide a great variety of food. The parma is excellent, the carbonara is excellent. The lasagne was a let down. All meat and no cheese. Apart from the lasagne though, it was an excellent dining experience.

Unfortunately you get what you pay for! Terrible!. Unfortunately a group went there (for someone's birthday) recently.<br/>Very, very ordinary. The pizza was all processed ham and cheese. Tasteless!<br/><br/>The pasta was a generous serving, but seemed to be all thrown together. Families seemed to be enjoying the place, and kid friendly, but these days there are some great places to eat, that I'm unsure whether you would bother with this place.

Delicious!. We had an absolutely beautiful lunch at La Porchetta in Glen Waverley today. 10/10 on everything.......& not a crumb left behind because it was all superb! The salt 'n pepper squid was better than others we have paid a fortune for..... & the gnocchi melted in our mouths....delish! We'll be back for sure!

Average. Although not a disaster the food is mostly average. the lot pizza is ok with plenty of topping. the chicken parma was soggy underneath a thick layer of cheese which I suspect came out from a microwave. Salmon pasta was ok but salmon a little dried up and stiff.

Better than their famous competitor in Burwood.. mostly. The usual Italian family food done with just a bit of extra freshness. Pros: It is generally reliable, I haven't yet tasted anything mind blowing, but if you feel like a cheapish pizza, pasta or salad, you can rely on it and the quality is better than Sofias. The other dishes I tried (seafood/meats) are also nice enough. Cons: the service is inconsistent - mostly young female waitresses here on the occasions I was there and some of them have an inexperienced and ditsy air about them which was a bit unnerving. The obvious question is why are they hiring young silly girls.. It makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Why not more of an even gender policy? Are there some gender role issues going on? And then the tough looking guys at the back, making pizzas, just looking serious and saying nothing. Wir: I've always wondered why I feel a bit weird here, now that I think about it ..

Hi!. Service is great and very welcoming!<br/><br/>They accidentally mistook one of our orders but was very apologetic, replaced the meal and took off the bill (we didn't even show any sort of anger).

Food awful! Shredded plastic like ham on pizza! Not Italian authenticity about it!

What has happened to this place. It used to be good. Wait staff too young with no experience. Food took forever and was cold when it finally arrived. 3 tables complained about food and service whilst we where there. Take my advice and go somewhere else

NOT SAFE FOR COELIACS. Have previously eaten here and at other La Porchetta stores and had gluten free pasta and pizza. However my last experience was horrible.<br/>I asked the waiter if the pesto pasta and chicken pizza was gluten free, he came back and said the pasta was fine but I would have to change the topping of the pizza. So the food came out, i shared half of it with someone else. Went to pay, got told I was paying for a gluten free pizza and a normal pasta. That was news to me, I had just eaten half a bowl of wheat pasta.<br/>I have been sick for the whole week.<br/>If you cant educate your staff properly then you shouldn't serve gluten free food. Its not fair that people should have to get so sick because of someone elses ignorance. Never going back.

YUM!. I love going to this place, Their pasta, Pizza & specials are always delicious. <br/>The service is fantastic, all the girls always have a smile on their face, never have I been disappointed. It is a friendly atmosphere & so much better than regular La Porchetta's!! - we call it "the restaurant of deliciousness!" and I highly recommend their homemade Tiramisu cake. Delish.

Great night, great food. 9 of us went to this place last night and were pleasantly suprised by how great the food and service were. The ribs were delicious and the pizza great as well. It was a busy night and we always felt we were well looked after.<br/>Great work!

Very good.. Had dinner here tonight.. the manager on duty made me us feel very welcome in setting us up cos we had a pram.. the staff were very helpful and happy and the food was absolutely beautiful. There were 9 people on our table and not one of us complained. well done.

La porchetta is what it is - cheap and ok. The kids love it!

Great service, but pizza quality varies although generally good. Try and go in quiet times to get the best quality pizza.
