First tome trying D’elephant and it was good! The drinks were nice and refreshing, the pork was so crispy and I loved the dipping sauces it came with and the main dishes were good. The staff are so friendly and the whole experience was great.
We got the green curry, pad Thai and some chicken. The food was nice, the venue was pretty empty., which allowed me and sister talk without anyone listening in our conversation.
We came here for dessert and drinks. The friendliest staff and all set out seating.
The Thai milk tea with soft serve is nice and refreshing with generous amount of icecream.
The Thai milk tea sticky rice os so delicious. The rice is so well seasoned and well constructed. The grass jelly pieces are cut into cubes and the Thai milk tea icecream sit nicely on top of the dessert.
The cantaloupe sago was well presented in a big plate. Slightly icy when it melt but the taste is plain yet refreshing.
The food here wonderful! Been here a couple of times, D’elephant does not disappoint
Decent Thai at a great price.
This place is so good. The food tastes great, the quality is high, the price and value are great and service is good. Also another thing I love about the place is the reliability and consistency in the food. Great work!
I always get the vegetarian pad see ew, and it's quick & yum (on a weekday anyway).
Generally good food. Serving size is good. Taste a bit mellow (not spicy) to my personal liking.
Great place to have some thai food. Would recommend
The wicked ribs tasted really good
Since the first try, I feel that the food in this restaurant is very delicious, the price is not high, and the economy is affordable. Bangkok wings always sold out ,we come to want to order three times and will come again!
I had the Thai fried rice with seafood, a bit salty for me. Overall, ok.
Self service on getting water. I think it would be nice if the waitress inform about the process. I saw another table also waiting for their water. Maybe 1 staff doing everything is a bit diffucult.
The food here is nice and affordable. Kinda crowded in the evening.
Had the red curry with prawns and pad Thai with chicken, SUPER YUMMY and service was very fast and conscientious
Came here to try the desserts!! The waffle was delicious and paired very well with the pearls. The Thai milk tea soft serve was the highlight though. A perfect dessert for when you want something warm and cold.
My friend always wanted to take me to this place for their crepe cake. She said it was the best crepe cake she had. However the time we went, they got sold out. It was sad but we got to try this other dessert instead and it was still amazing. We also had the chicken green curry and pineapple fried rice and fried chicken ribs.
I just come to this place for some dessert after dinner most of the times and get the milk tea soft serve ice cream.
The ice cream here is always a lovely velvety cup of joy with a mildly sweet and interesting flavour which is pleasant, paired with the silky smooth texture.
In the recent visit, I decided to have pearls and sago as the toppings. The sage we received was a tad bit strange, as all the pieces did not seem to be fully cooked and as a result, clumped together and became hard. The amount of sago we received also seemed disproportionate to the amount of pearls and ice cream, as the sago seemed to occupy half the entire cup. The pearls were pearls as always.
Overall, a very tasty ice cream experience which I will be back to enjoy again.
Got the milk tea with sago and pearls as they ran out of coconut jelly. There was so much sago and some of it was hard while the others were soft, however, the pearls were super soft and chewy.
Icecream in winter? 🙋🏻♀️ yes please!! Featuring their Thai milk tea soft serve! It was so creamy and smooth - with great Thai milk tea flavours. They also have Thai milk tea crepes and boba #thaimilktea
Friendly staff, food was served quite fast. We ordered their Curry with rice & roti, Pad See Ew and Mhu Grob. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Really nice thai milk tea & soft-serve, recommend! 👍🏻
Another chance to go there! Like my regular restaurant. But glen one is the first time. Got pineapple fried rice with chicken, roast bbq chicken was really yummy! Regular pad Thai with chicken yummy too! My friends also love it.
Sensational!!!!
Myself and 7 friends went for a quick and casual feed, we ordered drinks and food, 10 entrees in total and a kids meal, there was no complaint from anyone about it any plate that was delivered.
The staff are very nice, the timing of food of superb and the taste is spot on.
As an added bonus, the restaurant was packed and they made room for us.
Thank D’elephant
And staff, you made our night
Great Thai food, good for family and friend outings had the Tom Yum chicken noodles the broth was amazing it was a sour unami bomb and the noodles were perfectly cooked
Went here for dinner recently & I have to say the prices were pretty cheap. For 3 people it cost us $68 for 3 mains & 2 entrees. I got pad see ewe, my friends got pad Thai & another got green curry. I liked my main, my friends also liked there mains but the green curry wasn’t as spicy as my friend would like but that’s ok. For entrees we got curry puffs & spring rolls. The spring rolls were massive & delicious.
SERVICE: 3.5/5
Attentive and helpful. Like its sister store at Chadstone, the food came out quickly.
FOOD: 4.5/5
I've eaten at Chaddy a handful of times and have never been disappointed. I'd go as far to say it's better than many Thai restaurants I've been to therefore higher than expected for a chain store.
The Glen Waverley store I'd say was even more tastier and fresher than Chaddy. Always great value for money here too and you will be rolling out saying you've overeaten...and you're probably right!
This visit I tried:
🐟 Pan-fried whole fish with chilli salt: BAM, fresh and tasty! How good is that citrus sauce that comes with it!
🍍Pineapple fried rice with prawns: FAV! Smoky wok flavoured rice, juicy prawns and just damn YUM!
🍜 Yellow curry with beef + roti: Again, delish! Thick and creamy curry and the beef chunks weren't chewy. Quite heavy on the coconut which I don't mind but best to order something else if you're not into rich curries.
DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3.5/5
Neat and bright. Space is quite narrow but they've made good use of the space to fit a generous amount of diners. Back of house get quite loud so if you care to hear each other then opt for a table out front.
KID FRIENDLY: Yes, a little bit tight if you're wanting to bring a pram through but manageable.
Stopped in for a small snack of Som Tum (papaya salad) - my favourite. Food court venue, so wasn't expecting miracles. The service was very friendly. The only downfall, the som tum was overly salty (maybe too much fish sauce?). Not enough to put me off going back to try other items.
I don't know why there are lots of negative reviews on this restaurant. I've been here a few times alone for a quick meal and also with a group of friends for dinner and I've always enjoyed the food. I think their savoury dishes is one of the most tasty Thai food in Glen Waverley. I love their curries and crispy pork belly!
Went on a Friday evening and nearly half of the table were booked already. We ordered a deep fried barramundi, massaman curry plus 2 coconut rice, and their signature tom yum. The servings were generous, and the taste of foods was great. I loved the slightly sour green sauce served with barramundi, it worked very well with deep fried food. The tom yum was delicious however slightly expensive for what it is. The slow cooked beef curry was good, with quite a few big chunks of beef. Their Thai milk tea was very authentic too, next time I'll definitely go back and try the desserts!
A delicious Thai restaurant that does all the classics very well 👌🏼 the pork belly bites were so crispy and delicious~defs my favourite dish- I enjoyed the red curry But I just wish the red curry was spicier ~ I think I put a bit too much lemon on the pad Thai as it was slightly sour but otherwise tasty~ I liked the Thai milk tea drink and mango drink however the blue milk latte was not very enjoyable as I could only taste milk
D'Elephant is a place where hoards of wild mammals gather; hungry people that is. With an authentic flavour, modern plating and ambiance with friendly staff lays a comfortable setting. Their dishes has a great depth of flavours; a spark of salt, a kick off chili and a spark of citrus. D'Elephant is a pleasant establishment for casual diners.
Lots more variety than usual Thai. We enjoyed crispy pork belly starter, satays (pork nicer), chicken wings (ok), pineapple fried rice & green curry beef. Green curry was so fragrant, with a bit of heat & thick sauce. We also tried a few of the drinks. Will go back again, as many more things we want to try. Service was fast & food arrived quickly.
We caught up with some friends for dinner last night and they chose D’Elephant. I was initially a bit suspicious upon realising it’s a food court chain (this venue being the solo stand alone restaurant) but I was actually quite impressed.
The service was a bit scatty with my meal arriving first and a bit over ten minutes before the fourth and final person got theirs but the dishes were extremely flavoursome. Our prawn spring roll entree was kind of stingy in size but the coconut rice was fantastic and I loved my chicken pad satay. The sauce was very yummy indeed.
Hubby got the pad see ew upon my gentle encouragement. This is typically the dish I order at Thai restaurants but a bad run of bland renditions for perhaps the last five times I’ve ordered it had put me off. This one I’m pleased to report was delicious and the noodles were absolutely full of flavour just as they should be. Will definitely be keeping an eye out the next time I’m near a food court!
We ate here on a Saturday night. No bookings available for Saturday nights. At 6 when we came in there was a good number of seats available, but it appears to be very popular with the locals. The staff are w always moving (in a positive way). It began to fill up quickly after we sat down. The smell of the food being prepared was awesome. More to follow as dinner progresses
LIT! ⭐️: first time trying this Thai chain and I was pleasantly impressed. We ordered fried chicken, pad see ew and yellow curry with chicken. I tend to enjoy my pad see ew had the perfect amount of saltiness to it which wasn’t overpowering but enough for me to want more. Come here for affordable Thai with great portion sizes
NOT SO LIT: average fried chicken but was still delectable.
Thanks for having us!
- Quick serving time
- Friendly staff
- Decent food
- Decent price
Pad See Ew
- Decent
- Noodles were a bit overcooked
- Meat was a bit over cooked

😱Lizzie’s first impression: for a chain restaurant I was actually quite impressed with the quality of the food.
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the pad See ew was delicious - it had everything I needed and the serving was generous. The green curry was also amazing and tasted authentic.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: the dishes took longer than expected to come out.
🥇Lizzie rates overall: A great thai feed if you’re in the glen area.
The food was really tasty and packed with flavours. I was suprised with how filling everything came to be and pleased with the portion of the rice and dishes. The duck curry had a generous amount of nicely cooked duck. The only concern I had was although really tasty, I felt there was lots of sugar in all the dishes especially the Pad Thai. I still enjoyed it but was conscious of how sweet if was. Also the size of the drinks is great but do ask for less sugar if you don't want it to be super sweet. I would come back again and the service was nice too!
An impromptu dinner plan which turned into a really good dinner. At first everyone of us were dodgy about having Thai food but it was a nice experience. I don’t exactly remember what we ordered but I remember one dish named Gai Yang. That was ripper. All in all a good place.
The restaurant was fairly packed on a Sunday night, with a short line for larger groups. We ordered the tod mun pla (fish cakes), son tum (papaya salad), pineapple fried rice with beef, and pla sam sa hai (deep fried barramundi). The food took a while to come out, but every dish was flavoured perfectly so the wait was well worth it. The drinks were also amazing, especially the lemongrass/pandan drink. The staff here were polite and provided good service. However, the restaurant itself was quite small and cramped, but otherwise defs would come back :)
Food was good but the soup I paid $9.50 for wasn't that big at all . I liked the combo of rice , veg Currie and pork ... Was bit enough to to share by two people . But overall it as a good experience . Would go there in near future .
We came here on Saturday evening; hungry and in desperate need for foods. The place is okay but not too spacious.
Panda 🐼 🐼 🐼
- Gai Yang! Grilled chicken maryland with thai sauces, it is my first time trying this dish and I fell in love in every single way with this
- Love the calamari
- Speedy and friendly service
Pandont ❌❌❌
- Mhu Grob ( crispy pork belly), the texture is not tender and crispy enough for me
- The rest of the dishes felt just okay for me, nothing special
Overall, the dining experience that we had was good although there is nothing too special about the place. Will be back to try other menus!
I love how they give you cool plastic cups with caps to take away when you order their iced drinks. I had the beef pad kee mao and it was spicy and well-fried with a generous amount of ingredients. The only thing that would make it better would be the char on the noodles from the wok (wok hei). The soft shell crab papaya salad was sour, spicy and textural with crunchy pork crackling and peanuts.
Servings are always just the right amount every time I’ve come here. Flavours are so balanced and not too overpowering with the fish sauce. Would recommend.
Been here twice for their lunch specials on weekdays. Tried the pineapple fried rice and Tom yum noodles with a cold drink. Only for $11.90 it was definitely a bargain. The servings were huge and very filling. The pineapple fried rice was nice, but tasted like normal fried rice on the salty side with some pineapples. The Tom yum noodle soup I was impressed with. Great flavours and taste with lots of vegetables and meat (I got chicken), and not very spicy. The lemongrass pandan drink is amazing and perfect for the hot weather. I also tried the pink icy rose drink (forgot what it was called), not bad too. I’ll definitely be back!
It’s medium Thai food. If you are just hungry you can go there as they provide a big dish for Large plate. We had pat Thai chicken which was good and hips.
Love Love LOVE the Thai milk tea soft serve! All the dishes are nice too! Good serving size, good price, good service! I’m sure I’ll be back here again soon!
I had chicken Pad Thai, seafood Tom yum and Green curry fried rice (lunch special) here for lunch. The portion was great for all three, and they all tasted pretty nice! Especially Pad Thai had really sweet flavour to it which I loved and there was HEAPS OF CHICKEN IN BIG CHUNKS. Green curry fried rice was TOO SPICY🌶💦💦 so I recommend getting some sweet drink or a meal like Pad Thai. Tom yum was just what you'd expect 😇
Chaddy definitely had better atmosphere though for a meal date😉
Iv had the green curry and pad sew ewe, I found them both to be very tasty and satisfying!! A lot better and more generous than what Iv had elsewhere.
The food was was delicious, been here twice and good customer service. And have lots of variety of food suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
