Didn’t have any issues with customer service. We were seated quite quickly even considering Covid restrictions.
We ordered a few dishes and left nothing behind.
Wontons are their signature dish, would definitely recommend them.
Whipped into here a few times on the way to the city and always have found service nice, food excellent and fast. Reasonably priced as well. Can't believe it only has a 2.5 rating. Enjoyed our meals each time
On the way past the restaurant, attracted by the advertisement posted outside, ordered a drunken chicken set meal, soup head is very sweet, the chicken is also very tender, side dishes can be in a little bit of reinforcement, wonton is so so .....
Came here with the family based on a recommendation. Lobster noodle lived up to the hype!! Crispy chicken wings were a hit as well! Will definitely come back again.
Great atmosphere great food loved it especially the dessert, ordered the lobster bit overcooked but it was still okay to eat, will come back again
As a wonton soup fan I had to stop by here for a signature wonton soup. A great broth! The Xo fried rice was also really nice and had some good flavour and hit of chilli
3.5/5 Went out with a friend for the XO lobster noodles - the flavour was good, but don't expect a large amount given the relatively cheap price.
Wonton House is a great place for wonton noodles - served dry or with soup. Their wontons are always fresh and bouncy. I'm a fan of their egg noodles - almost always cooked to the right consistency.
This particular branch of Wonton House has a pleasant environment highlighted by old school Chinese red coloured water flasks, hanging birdcages and faux greenery which all add to the relaxed atmosphere.
Service here, as always, was quick and efficient.
I wouldn't mind moving in to this Wonton House one day.....
Not too sure why this place has such a low rating. I’m currently chowing down some pork congee, stir fry noodles in superior sauce, Chinese donut and popcorn chicken. Everything is delicious. Service is good. Chinese donut is a bit on the oily side n not worth $3.50... but when ur having congee it’s a must! Can’t comment on other dishes but I’d happily come back n eat the same thing again !
Has been consistently good the few times I’ve been. Will be my go to for HK authentic food in Glen Waverley.
Ordered stir fried beef with rice noodles and partner ordered Traditional Hong Kong style fried noodle in superior sauce & a side of fried squid. All dishes were on point 👌🏼 particularly love their chili oil, enhances the dish’s flavor but does not over power in spice.
They deserve to be rated better. Best of luck to them.

Didn't have too much time for dinner, so chooses this wonton house on the kingsway. We were so lucky to get the last table. The duck porridge was tasting and very fast but less duck meat. My son was happy with his wonton noodle too. Nice and quick services.
I had the sampan congee and my partner had the wonton noodles - the food was OK. My partner liked the wonton noodles as he said the broth was tasty and sweet and the noodles were al dente. I liked the milk tea as it was fragrant and not too sweet.
Does anyone know how many BBQ pork buns you get for $7.50?? Just wondering as I want to get some but don't want to spend $7.50 for just one.
Finally, after 7+ years of the Sichuan craze in Melbourne, there is a Cantonese place being opened (migrated) in Glen Waverley. So sick of chilli and oil...
This wonton house has the same menu as the one in the city. The wonton remains tasty, with lots of pork and prawn fillings. The broth is clean, clear, smooth, and goes well with the noodles. The chicken ribs (deep fried with chilli and salt) was excellent, freshly cooked, crispy, crunchy, and the portion has returned to 2015 size (it got smaller in 2016).
Good to see Cantonese food is still alive in Melbourne.
Ordered the crispy fried noodles and wonton noodle soup. Fast service and food comes out quick. Nice, lively interior and music. Crispy noodle has a generous amount of topping, flavoursome and the sauce is drenched in the noodles just right. Wonton soup is alright, has a strong bokchoi soup taste to it. The lychee drink is sweet and tastes like it came just right of the can.
As a family, we ordered the beef combo noodles, lobster noodles, wonton noodles and the wonton soup. I have to say the prices are very reasonable, the wontons were yummy, the lobster was okay (considering the price!). Overall, a pleasant meal and we are likely to return. Too bad they don't have enough bowls though, as the waitresses were very eager to remove them from the table as soon as we were done (ok, maybe they are just overly efficient, haha!)
We had the Samoan Congee and the Lobster Noodles in XO sauce (which was a limited time offer). The price was reasonable and the food was enjoyable. The Sampan Congee looked a bit plain, but had peanuts, sliced duck pieces, jellyfish, fishcake, squid, and spring onion which was just filling. The lobster noodles had a really great taste but a bit hard to eat.
The decoration looks really good and it was nice that they put effort into having lemon infused in their water, instead of just plain tap water.
Overall definitely a nice addition to the other dinner places available in Kingsway and worth a try.
My first visit at WH on Kingsway and I am satisfied. My initial impression is their service like “wow everyone here is nice and accommodating.” Food is great especially their wontons. The price is reasonable too. Overall, I would love to revisit more often and try some other menu. Highly recommended 👍
Mixed feelings about this. Visited Feb 2022 on a weekend. Normally I don't like talking about service being bad because it isn't important when it comes to these kinds of restaurants (it's not exactly fine dining), but I think it has to be said that the service was especially cold and unfriendly. Staff looked like they were run off their feet and because it was so busy, they just didn't care anymore. The food was above average. Congee not too salty and they didn't just dump msg in there to make it taste good. Ditto the Noodles. Tripe was so tender. The 油条 was like re-heated cardboard (def avoid). Ox tongue was tasty and they didn't skimp on the actual meat like some places. Overall would recommend for a tasty meal.
If you are looking for authentic Hong Kong style food, this is the restaurant you should try. Such a consistent Hong Kong style food quality restaurant for decade. Since the restaurant closed in CBD, this is the only one left in Melbourne. Their wonton and congee always on high quality and exactly what's offer in Hong Kong. There are 2 huge whole prawn per wonton with little bit of pork. There are hardly ever any restaurant had such good quality. Wonton is huge and price us very reasonable too. Sampan congee is another food that also taste exactly like in Hong Kong. Server with deep fried wonton skin for crunch. Congee is very soft and with lots of authentic ingredients too. Such a joy to enjoy all these food. Worth the drive from another side of the town over an hour. Plenty of tables inside. And plenty of parking nearby. Train station is just at the corner with walking distance. Will definitely come back again if possible. Price is very reasonable with this quality of food.
I got the roast duck and pickled vegetables soup noodles. I didn’t like it but I put that more towards me not liking the flavours. Partner got stir fried rice noodles with egg gravy which he liked and I really liked the Shanghai dumplings. The service was quick and the waiter and waitress were very polite.
