A little food court cafe at the glen was open early and had amble seating. Service was fast and efficient. Had a green tea latte well made.
Great pasta - well seasoned and flavourful with fresh, generous amounts of seafood
Lovely cafe situated in the newly refurbished surroundings of Glen Waverley shopping centre. Enjoyed a nice cup of coffee here while being parking myself at the bench top situated right next to the kitchen/preparation area.
New cafe right at the end atrium below D.Jones and in front of Woolies and Aldi. Operated by Koreans and they serve lovely Belgium choc waffle and drinks incl. Brekkie. Had the Fruit waffle for one at $10.90.
Points for: value but decent coffee, soups
Originating from Sydney, Café Cherry Beans is a chain and surprisingly has a lot of franchises around Australia.
These guys pride themselves in roasting their own coffee beans, and is a confident move, coming into the coffee-centric market of Melbourne.
The café itself operates a large dining area of the new market at The Glen – very open with plenty of light, and loads of seating.
The menu is very standard Australian fare – burgers, sandwiches, all day breakfast. They’re being very safe with their options, pretty much appealing to the everyday mum coming in to lunch during the day.
I haven’t seen a club sandwich for ages but it’s one of my favourites – it’s freshly toasted, with juicy marinated chicken, nicely fried egg and grilled bacon, giving it a salty kick. The lime aioli brings a creaminess and the lettuce brings a fresh crunch. Such a good sandwich!
The coffee tastes like a medium roast – I usually order a strong latte, but it’s not overly bitter and doesn’t have that strong kick other specialty roasters have. It is pretty smooth though, so will please most people.
