Review Bread Top Glen Waverly - Glen Waverley

Ordered Strawberry Mousse Cake for Father's Day Celebration. My family loves it! Although it's a little bit too creamy for me, but it is not over powering. The sponge cake is fluffy and we enjoyed the cake very much.

Bread King in Glen Waverley Visited on u/3/2021 The shops at Kingsway in Glen Waverley change hands very frequently, resulting in name change. This shop was formerly operated as Breadtop. There is nothing done to the colour scheme and no renovation, the display at the windows is far less impressive. A Breactop can be found in The Glen Shopping Centre.

This place just opened up in Kingsway and it's lives up to the name. The service was excellent, staff were very helpful recommending products. Everything is made in-store and baked daily and you can really taste the difference! My favourite are the Ham & Egg Bun, Twin Sausage Bun and Cheese Stick! Worth a try and highly recommended!

This position used to be a breadtop which was excellent. I don’t know when it became a bread king and they look exactly the same. The cake was very unprofessional and ruined my feeling on my birthday. Please taste your own cake.

I called Thursday morning asking, specifically, if I can have a birthday cake made by Friday afternoon. They said yes and took my order. However when I tried to pick up my cake on Friday in the afternoon, one of the staff told me there was no cake for me... They then double checked my order with me and proceeded to claim no cake was ordered under my name. At this point, no alternative options were made available to me and the staff did not seem apologetic at all. Annoyed at the accusations they were making, I had to show them my phone log which had a time stamp of when I called the store. I ended up walking out of the store with a smaller cake because I was attending a birthday dinner that night. Needless to say I won't be returning there at all.

Extremely rude service by staff! Requested for a loaf of bread to be sliced only to be snapped at and told a big no. This happens when a slicing machine is sitting next to it. I am a regular customer to other outlet and has never been turn down when this request is made. Deserves a zero review not even one! Disgusted!

Extremely rude service. I called to order a Japanese Chiffon cake, staff member on the phone was extremely rude. Would avoid this Breadtop at all costs.

The limited selection in the early evening was disappointing. The staff were unhelpful to say the least, and fairly uncommunicative even when asked questions. Definitely not welcoming. Please do better.

Ahhhh Breadtop! Still one of my favourite places for Asian style breads and baked goods. Over the years, their prices have been creeping up slowly while the size of some of their items have been shrinking. Still, it's a very solid and consistent bakery wherever you go. <br/><br/>My go to items are usually the twin sausage bun, the BBQ pork bun and the chocolate horn. Their base dough is always soft, sweet and melt in my mouth delicious. The chocolate horn has a thick chocolate mousse that goes so well with the bread. The BBQ pork or char siu is always sweet yet savoury and fully satisfying. <br/><br/>Here's hoping Breadtop stays on top of its game for a long time to come!

Breadtop offers delicious breads, cakes and desserts. Not many options as the other stores I have been to. The savoury breads are my favourite but I love the taro and purple sweet potato buns.

In need of a quick carbohydrate fix I popped into Breadtop on Kingsway, Glen Waverley. They had just the ticket. I chose the chive trio tear bun which was made in the typically Asian, slightly sweet bread style. A little oily but non the less tasty and it got me through a hangry moment.

There are wide variety of breads to choose from, and all of them taste good and seem reasonably fresh. They sell cakes that you can buy walk-in or buy online and collect it at the shop. All my cake online orders have been accurate and they have the option of writing a small message on a chocolate plate to put on the cake.<br/><br/>Service is decent and price is more dear. There is a nice Breadtop website but it takes long to load and needs a strong internet connection to do so. Overall, this is a good shop and I would come again to buy the food.

Nice selection of breads but I’ve always wondered how long they have been sitting there before someone buys it as sometimes they are quite cold. I also like the variety of cakes and desserts they have in store.

Horrendous service!  <br/> <br/>I feel the need to warn the public about the exceptionally poor service by the staff at Bread Top Glen Waverly (opposite Century City Walk).  <br/> <br/>My wife and I attended this afternoon with our two young children where our son accidentally dropped two of his buns onto the floor. Having my hands full with another two trays filled with various items I placed the dropped buns onto a cleared bench with the anticipation that the staff would throw them away once notified. Unfortunately not!  <br/> <br/>I was immediately approached by an extremely rude and condescending staff member who asked why I placed the buns on the empty bench. Upon explaining that they were accidentally dropped onto the floor she demanded that I pay for them and was enraged for not being immediately informed!? Despite being told that it was an accident by a 8 year old child she continued demand payment!  <br/> <br/>My wife and I placed our trays back on the bench and left the store.  <br/> <br/>Based on this experience our family will never return to this establishment ever again.  <br/> <br/>The staff and management at Bread Top Glen Waverley need to learn the basics of customer service and appreciate business from families who choose to spend their money at this store, as there is no shortage of alternative places to shop on this strip.

I know bread top is very delicious , unfortunately the customer service at this particular store is horrendous . I would never Return after the way the girl spoke to me , my husband and small children today. Walk inside to the glen shopping centre to find the same foods and some decent service .

Always come here for the cheese stick and the twin sausage bun. I use to come here all the time on the way to the library ! Service has always been great for me, variety is alot of more than other bread tops !
Decent Feed
We ordered Breadtop’s Blackforest cake in the small size, which turned out to be quite a decent size to feed the group of 4 of us. Even had some cake leftover after, so it’s definitely enough if you’re planning on having between 1-2 slices per person. More on the pricier side however.

Breadtop is a good bakery. Not going to win any awards for being edgy and cool but the baked goods are excellent. Came to get some fresh bread walked out with bread a few danishes.
The Whippeteers
A visit to "Breadtop" for some taro buns ($4.60 for 6) made one silly Whippeteers morning this day.  The taro buns MAKE US FEEL HAPPY!<br/><br/>"Breadtop" Glen Waverley is extremely popular, always busy. The venue is immaculately clean.  The breads/cakes are always of the same high standard.  <br/><br/>Not a healthy option.  Only for a treat!.....only for a treat!!...only for a treat!!! (WE'LL KEEP TELLING OURSELVES THAT).  You dear reader, will of course, decide for yourself, hey.

Unreasonable service. Picked up a bread that was on the floor, brought to the counter so that it can be thrown away. I was told to pay for it!!!! Tried explaining but was told it's the boss's instruction. Seriously.....now I understand why it's on the floor and it was not picked up. <br/>Anyone drop anything......don't pick it up as you will be asked to pay for it!!!!!

Great bread. After having tried various branches of BreadTop over the years, I must say this is one of the best BreadTop I've had thus far. Well done guy!
