Review Chennai Banana Leaf - Glen Waverley

Lets start with the positives first. The restaurant was empty so that the kids could play around and have a good time. Period. Now for the negatives, don't know where to start, is it the inedible dosas or the "dont know how old" again inedible Veg thali, or the Indian stores bought frozen wholemeal roti which they passed off as Parotta, or the dirty glasses, jugs, plates and other cutleries or the disgusting toilets which the kids refused to use. The most surprising thing about the restaurant is the restaurant itself! That they have managed to be still open and running in spite of the utterly disgusting and totally unclean place. We really admire the nerve of the people who serve rotten food to their paying customers! Go at your own risk and don't be surprised to be in a hospital, if you managed to eat whatever you order!

Just... bad. Had takeaway lamb biryani and cauliflower manchurian. Cauliflower was like kan-tong commercial sweet and sour sauce drowning vegetables. Biryani was passable, but the meat was flavourless. Only the flatbreads were any good, and they're hard to screw up. Avoid.
