Shared the spectacular seafood platter. Such a treat!!! Desserts were heaven on a plate. The manager and staff were very accommodating and friendly. They could not do enough for us all. Prices weren’t exorbitant for the class of meals on the menu. Exceptionally delicious food of a high standard. Will most definitely be returning.
PS .... I had food envy with every plate brought out to my other eight friends at the table. (Even though mine was scrumptious). We were all checking out each other’s plates and having little taste tests. Great, fun night out!! Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Highly recommend.
Seriously the best service and place to eat.
Every single staff member treated you with the upmost professionalism manner.
What a menu starting from entree's to main courses and to top it off with desserts.
Every single dish was amazing.
Will highly recommend this place hands down.
Thankyou Nick and staff for making my bday and everytime we eat at your house one to remember, we will definitely be back.

My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary at cardones. The service was exceptional with a comfortable dinning experience. The seafood platter we ordered was amazing not a fault in the variety of seafood on the dish. It was out in good time after a glass of wine and starter meal and well enjoyed. We would like to thank cardones for there service and would highly recommend anyone to go in and dine.
Seafood platter is a must - experience from start to finish was amazing attentive and friendly service - they love seafood and you taste it in every bite - highly recommend
Went there twice in 2 weeks (or twice in 7 days in 2 different weeks, including just before Easter long weekend). Top-notch service, great food, and a lovely selection of wines. My friend who has tried decades of all sorts of risotto proclaimed their seafood risotto the best ever. Pappardelle was also fantastic! And their assortment of oysters... Visit whenever you are in Adelaide, and it will be an unforgettable meal. Must try the rest of the menu! Nick and his staff are the cherry on the cake, for a great experience!
The staff were friendly and attentive . The food was amazing ...?loved the arancini and we shared the seafood platter it was great . Overall great night
Fantastic food & service, will definitely return for the seafood platter.
Would highly recommend.
The best seafood in SA, very friendly staff, first class service, a pleasure to dine there.
Always fantastic friendly service and absolutley delicious food. The oysters are always a winner. Best lemon tart i've ever tried. Will always continue to go back. Highly recommend!!!
Great place to dine, service is First Class, Food well presented and excellent. Highly recommend
Fantastic food, staff and owner. Great place for a quality feed and quality service. Highly recommend
The service was A class, and the food was excellent.
I got the Eye Fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection, the sauce was very tasty.
Highly recommend!
Excellent food. Beautiful food, price and plate size commesurate. Wonderful staff
Can’t thank the Nick and staff for the amazing evening we had. Amazing seafood and wine and the best part. Staff filming for my now fiancé our proposal.
Thank you so much for the memories
My husband and I went here last night for dinner. Excellent service, lovely accommodating staff, delicious food and an offering of a free alcoholic drink, because I mentioned it was our anniversary! atmosphere was lovely and warm lighting was beautiful. Arancini balls were very tasty, followed by risotto (both my hubby and I) which was delicious & very filling. I want to go back, to try something else on the menu. booking recommended absolutely! we booked and when we were seated they turned people away who showed up because the restaurant was fully booked for the evening. Price is reasonable, for the quality, and quantity of food :)
Nice cozy restaurant with very attentive staff and good service. Had only oysters there and glass of white wine which were fresh and yummy 🤤
Made very welcome. Offered a complimentary drink for our anniversary. The food was great . Charlotte was very friendly and we’d definitely recommend eating at Cardone’s
Fantastic family run business, always served with a smile no matter the day. The food is always beyond amazing- would recommend for any special occasion!
By tram to Glenelg for some Monday lunch seafood. Fitout looks modern and stylish. Thought brown paper over black tablecloths looked so stylish.
Warm welcome by staff and good service.
Good wine list from which I chose a Lane Pinot Gris. Happy also to see they have Lauretana sparkling water.
So I ate:
Coffin Bay Oysters. (Fresh with a mineral edge)
Calamari.
King George Whiting. (Lightly grilled preserving delicate fresh flavour).
Great to be so satisfied with my choice.
One of the best seafood platters we have ever enjoyed. There are not many platters that include seared scallops and lobster tails and don't deep fry everything to an inch of its life. Cardones does theirs perfectly. The Soft-shell crab, garfish, squid and barramundi were fantastic too.
Coupled with great service this experience was 11/10.
Absolutely delicious. Went here for a surprise dinner. We ordered the seafood platter and was not disappointed; lobster, garfish, soft shell crab, scallops, calamari, prawns and barramundi. All very fresh and tasty. A few glasses of prosecco and the night was perfect!
Beautiful meal for sons 18th birthday. Staff were fabulous and made a fuss of the birthday. Had the seafood platter which was a perfect size very fresh and delicious
Service was great, food was very good. The croquettes were a standout as was the pan fried gnocchi. Easy to see why this gem was booked out in advance.
Went here for dinner while in the area. We were really impressed by all our courses. I think you could select anything off the menu and be very impressed.
Highly recommend checking this restaurant out.
The staff provided great service.
Staff were very friendly on the night and the food was just on point 👌 Quite a long wait but it was worth it! Pasta was cooked well with rich flavours and the salmon as a separate dish was amazing (not to mention the crispy salmon skin which was yum!).
Place a bit noisy from the car passed by. Food is good. I ordered linguine salmon with cream sauce and sprinkle bacon on top, it's good, not too rich. And we had pork eye fillet as well. It was nice, it's just perfect. The service delivery was good as well. They are very polite to you. This what makes the places different, service.
My first visit to this wonderful place on my birthday where I was greeted by warm wishes from all the floor staff and a glass of bubbles. My two young children were well catered for and the wonderfully friendly and attentive staff ensured that they were an integral part of the dining experience. The seafood platter was superb and even the Affogato was beautifully presented with a warm almond biscuit that was ridiculously amazing. Thank you!
Fabulous food every dish was unique.
Service was 5 star.
We has 8 in our party and everything was perfectly delicious.
We had 3 courses and wine a truly beautiful night for around $70 a head.
My parents love this place, so it's generally where we go when they visit Adelaide. I've eaten here many times and it's always great. Most of their main meals start at $30 and head upwards. However, they do probably the best seafood in Glenelg. I've also eaten the vegetarian risotto which is a huge serve and delicious, but a little expensive ($30). Side dishes are around $8 and glasses of wine start at $8 also. Service is attentive and friendly.
We have always received excellent service here and the seafood is amazing! Love the seafood platter and the triple cooked potatoes are to die for!
Have been here multiple times and the service has been great, food is always good and the atmosphere is friendly. Can always trust this place to serve up a good meal with great service.
Best seafood restaurant in Adelaide I would vote! We had the seafood platter and it was divine and very reasonable. Lovely atmosphere in and outside table settings, great staff and we will definitely be going back!
It's a busy night, and there's no room at the inn. I'm forced to go walkies around the Glenelg foreshore, before returning to feast.
This is the best restaurant in Glenelg, according to moi. Ambient is also decent. Everything else I've had down here has been average at best.
Perfect!. From the moment we walked in we knew we made the right choice. We were served by the restaurant owner who was extremely hospitable, attentive, friendly and honest. The food was just perfect. The Coffin Bay Oysters were the best we have ever had. We also had the arancini and the pear balsamic with bread which was to die for. Mains were the linguini marinara, salmon and the roast chicken. All cooked to perfection. A must visit if you're in the area. We would definitely be back next time we're in South Australia.
Amazing!. Went to Cardone's tonight for my birthday with my close friends. The food was delicious, the waiter's were lovely and attentive and I left feeling so so full. Can't wait to go back again, highly recommended.
Good food and service. Slightly over priced bit basic for the price.
Lovely lunch at cardones today!
Very happy with the fishermans platter! Great service, friendly servics!
Will be back
Awesome Food!. Being from the Gold Coast visiting for the weekend, we took a risk and stopped by for a good Italian meal. We were not disappointed. The service was very good. Without a reservation they squeezed us in and took good care of us. The appetiser of toasted bread with tomato and goats cheese was tasty. Our pasta dishes with seafood in a light cream sauce were delicious and yummy. I did take exception though to the pasta they were calling fusilli, it certainly was not. I'd highly recommend Cardone's for a moderately priced delicious Italian meal.
Excellent!. Been here twice now since its been re-done. Both times food and service have been excellent. The wine selection is fantastic and all of the breads, especially the bread with the goats curd is to die for. Tried the blue swimmer crab pasta the first time, my partner had the gnocchi, both beautiful. This time went for the lobster tail pasta with added ground chilli. Great wine, great food, one of the best places to dine down the bay. Will be back as long as Nick will have us :-)

Lovely Meal. Dined here recently and were greeted as a walk in diner promptly and was very impressed with the menu and wine selection. The breads were tasty for starter. Main was chicken and was cooked to perfection and very tender and moist. The pasta with Crab meat was out so was served with lobster tails instead. Pasta was cooked well I personally just found the sauce too oily and needed a hint of something else in the sauce to give it a wow factor. Deserts we had panacotta and semi freddo, the panacotta was refreshing and tasty. Coffee was also great. For 2 people with wines it cost us $140, a pleasant night out.
Highlight of our day at Glenelg. We were visiting Adelaide on a cruise ship and on our second day here came down on the tram to find some good local food. Well, we found it! The owner, Nick, was in attendance and looked after us beautifully. We shared a starter of grilled calamari which was very tender and flavoursome, with some of the best garlic bread I have ever eaten and then followed Nick's recommendation of King George whiting . Very generous serves and washed it down with a light Chianti and some SA Sauvignon Blanc. I can never resist dessert and succumbed to a delicious chocolate and hazelnut semi-freddo. A wonderful meal and would go back anytime. Not cheap, but good value.
Both the food and the service were amazing. The owner goes out of his way to make sure customers are enjoying themselves. I will definitely be going back there!
Fantastic. We had dinner here on a busy Saturday night in July and you would have thought that we were the only group of 9 in the restaurant. Food and service were fantastic, the restaurant was inviting and cosy. We were informed before we arrived that it was a busy night with a few large groups and advised to arrive on time so that the kitchen could cope with the orders. All good, the staff didn't miss a beat. A special restaurant with beautiful food. Highly reconmended.
Had a very enjoyable dinner here! Shared the seafood platter was delightful! Great the see the owner, nick, out waiting tables and offering suggestions, truly knew his restaurant. Professional yet friendly staff. Would recommend to any adults! Would defiantly go back!
Great customer service and amazing meals ! For entrees ,we had the calamari which despite being a non shellfish eater I loved ! my boyfriend had the beef eye fillet which was cooked to perfection and I had the salmon which was cooked just as well .
our Belgian waffles we had for dessert were a superb end to a very delicious meal.
thanks to our waiter who selected a beautiful wine for us and who was nothing but helpful and attentive the whole night.
Definitely worth the trip from Melbourne to Adelaide and definitely worth coming back to again !
Will definately be back again! Found this gem in the entertainment book and have since repurchased for the next year to go back again. Service was impeccable from the minute we stepped in the door, not only from the owner but all waitressing staff as well. Food was divine - partner had steak cooked to perfection and i has seafood linguine without a fault!! Too full for desert but so satisfied, will be recommending to all our family and friends!
Really impressed. Went here on Easter Monday with my partners family. Staff were very nice, especially the waiter who was very attentive, had a forgotten drink by one of the dark haired waitresses but got it eventually. I ordered the rice dish, vegan, my partner the gnocchi with Ox tail, and his family the chicken salad, roast chicken and the orecchiette. Every meal was generously portioned (we had to take the rest away). My rice dish was delicious, full of flavor and very filling. All the meals were enjoyed thoroughly. I highly recommend.
Great service and fantastic food. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Will definitely be back!!
Fantastic service, awesome food. Will definitely be back! The oysters were absolutely amazing. Best garlic bread I have ever tasted. The seafood platter was delicious. Thank you!
Once again, an Outstanding meal. Fantastic service and very reasonable pricetag. Excellence from entree to dessert. My pork rib eye was perfectly cooked as was my wifes salmon. Overall 9.8! (had to take off the .2 because the table was wobbly..:-) ) Seriously, the only complaint I can come up with is the wobbly table.. We will keep going back.
Terrific. We had seafood linguine. Some of the best u will find. Service was efficient and warm. I would definable recommend this restaurant if u love good Italian food.
Top class service and food to match. Awesome!
Amazing service especially the floor manager he goes above and beyond. food is amazing.
A little expensive but enjoyable. Have been a few times and the service has always been great and the atmosphere busy and comfortable. Love the garlic mash and the garlic bread is a must have, however the seafood risotto serving size was a little on the small side once you take out all the shells etc. Well worth a visit
Dining Delight. The frigid weather of an August Saturday faded into insignificance when faced with the warmth of our welcome by Nick Cardone and his wonderful staff. The newly revamped restaurant is now urban chic (but without, thank goodness, the noisy floors often found) with a genuine homely ambience. There was plenty to choose from in every section of the comprehensive menu, and we could not find fault with anything we ordered. From the excellent ciabatta and house-created sticky pear balsamic vinegar with EVO, to the hearty Tuscan-style soup (with Papa Cardone's hand-made chili) and fresh oysters to the full-of-flavour and straight from the sea King George Whiting and Garfish, not to mention the best rhubarb tart we've every tried (perfect pastry, Chef!) and moreish chocolate and hazelnut semi fredo - this food is top class and very well-priced. Well done, Cardone's - we'll certainly be back! Thank you for a great afternoon.
Sensational. My first time to Cardones last night. What a find! Even on a Monday night it was busy but not too noisy for a good conversation.
The food was exquisite and the service excellent with friendly staff. I had the Limestone Coast lamb cutlets.
Done to perfection. Good wine menu also. I'll be back many times I'm sure in the future.
Staff friendly, uncomplicated ambiente, ok wine list and terrific seafood, grilled just right. Worth a try and a return.
Considered meals that are flavoursome with a generous amount of the main ingredient.
Friendly service and clean decor. Definitely worth going in if the walk by piques your interest.
A new look, a new menu, but same outstounding service, Cardone's Seafood and Grill is by far the best destination to satisfy all your culinary needs. Every item on the menu is cooked to perfection and superbly assembled. With the brilliant selection of entrees, mains and deserts, I highly recommend taking the time out to enjoy this 'squisito' restaurant. Many thanks to Nick, the head chef and the rest of the staff for making every meal a wonderful experience. Will return again soon!
The boss welcomes me back. I'm a very memorable customer. :)
The salmon is soft and pink, and nice and salty. I dip it in some of the dark ring of sauce that rings the plate. It tastes like barbecue sauce, and adds a surprising tang to the salmon. Turns out it's "pear balsamic".
I’ve had nicely-cooked chicken many times before, and this chicken is more of the same. It’s juicy and nicely seasoned, but the prosciutto here acts like a very thick and crunchy skin for the chicken. Many large pieces of
