I had the best time yesterday at the Mediterranean! I asked for a quiet spot and some special afternoon tea cakes, to enjoy with my niece, Yolande. She was in Adelaide for the day, from Canberra. I never get to see her, so this was a treat. We were thoroughly spoilt, the staff were lovely, attentive and helpful. I recommend this venue for any occasion - the meals are excellent, and if you just want a snack - try their sweet potato chips. I'm taking all my friends there a.s.a.p.

My family and I have loved this place for years! We're here so much, it feels like a second home. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food and beverages are top quality! My husband, who is gluten free really appreciates the fact they can adjust meals to accommodate his dietary needs. Thankyou to Chris and your staff!

I came here last Monday night and enjoyed it so much I returned on Thursday night with my sister and Mum. There were so many choices on the menu I couldn't choose for a while but I wasn't rushed. The food is amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful to us. I didn't feel like a customer, more like a friend. I would highly recommend Mediterranean to one and all. I will be returning time and time again and they accept the Entertainment Card which saved us around $25 each night.
LOVE Cafe Med!! Our fave lunch spots! Excellent service, yummy wine, go the lamb salad!! Always good food, nice place. We love it! Originally tried it because it was in the Ent Book and have kept coming regularly since.
Popped in and only had a short time to kill. Was seated and served very promptly by a very friendly and accommodating young lady. Had the bacon, avocado and cheese toasted flatbread which went down very nicely. Kept me going all day.

Honest review here. My wife and my parents had lunch together today.
We ordered the dips for entree, saganaki prawns, and for main the pork tenderloin, crab pasta, and pasta marinara.
Prawns - cooked well but sauce was very sweet and wasn't a big enough serve to be honest for $24.90. Tenderloin - perfect. Crab Pasta - I guess cant you cant expect fresh crab anywhere anymore but the sauce was ok. Decent size serve. The marinara was the best of the 3 and perfect.
Wines - very good serve size and well priced. No faults here.
Service was excellent all around. There was an incident where the waitress spilt my coffee all over my jeans - I took pity on her and told her not to worry. I guess they could have offered me a free dessert or something.
This was a hard call as I really expected more given the price and menu, but sadly this cafe falls into the class of cafes which can be found anywhere in Adelaide eg. Bongiourno, Scuzzi etc.
So given an average of 3 - its a little better than average but the price is a little higher than it should be. You're looking at an average of $30 for a main and entree around $20, so its a little pricey.
The bottom line is - would i go back or recommend it to a friend - no.

Went for a late breakfast. Decent food and coffee came out quickly! Noisy environment when busy. Good service but asked us if we wanted any more drinks at least 5 times in under an hour! Not a bad spot overall.
Another day, another breakfast cafe. Although we were looking for it, we drove past Mediterranean Cafe Ristorante because it's a little difficult to spot their signage which is a little understated.
We entered a busy, bustling cafe, and ordered for ourselves the Moroccan Tagine and the smoked salmon omelette.
Both dishes were unusual. The tagine is a broad interpretation of that word with chorizo and I wasn't expecting navy beans in it either, nevertheless it still tasted quite good with well poached eggs. The runny yolk went well with the tomato based sauce and toasted bread.
The omelette was a deep dish omelette which again is unusual for me. It was quite nice but the edges were slightly overcooked.
The long black that my friend ordered tasted alright.
Quite a decent breakfast which kept us filled throughout the day.

I got the eggs benedict and a hot chocolate. Simply put, this was the nicest eggs I recall ever getting and I get eggs benedict a lot while at travelling for work.
The two gents working the coffee and floor were very friendly and service was very fast. I would recommend others to go here for sure.
Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Extremely attentive staff, despite how busy it was. Yes, it was a little noisy and pricey, but well worth it. Meals were out within 30 mins, and were extremely tasty. Would definately come back and reccomend.
I have eaten here several times and each time I have not been let down. Absolutely delicious food, great service and reasonable prices. I particularly recommend the Ravioli and the Mediterranean Salad (lamb).
Amazing food, great service and nice place for a nice meal out. Somethings are a bit pricey and can get busy on a weekend so best to sit outside. Have been there loads again as we only live down the road and will continue to go again when we move further away. DELICIOUS!!!
Been here twice now and the service is very efficient s d considerate- good job guys. Oh and the bouillabaisse is delightful- loads of beautiful fresh seafood and wonderful broth- couldn't fault it!

An absolute pleasure!. Lunched here today. Menu, Food, Service, Ambience all excellent. Two of us had the best risotto I have come across in a long time, the other diner thoroughly enjoyed the barramundi. Coffee etc just lovely. We will be back. Thank you.
Really excellent food and service. Wow ! is all I can say. This place is exceptional for the quality and taste of its food and service. Drinks ordered and arrived promptly - very important ! We shared dips with pita and they were really homemade/ best dips I've ever had and I eat a lot. I had the Seafood Bouillabaise - very generous serves (all were), top quality seafood. Husband had the mixed grill - fantastic selection of meats, pita, salad, tzatziki. One son pronounced the pizza the best ever. Gelato and desserts were excellent. Glowing praise from a family that eats out often. Sadly I am from Melbourne so can't visit very often.
Now - the noise factor. It is very noisy and clangy inside. Perhaps management could do something about it. If you are sensitive to this I suggest sitting outside or arriving later when the room has emptied out. We almost left at the start because of the noise, but VERY happy we stayed.
Great restaurant. I had the Seafood Boulebasse and it was loaded with seafood and the soup was well balanced and delicious. Service was timely, pleasant and they cared. This was my first time at the Mediterranean Cafe and a long way from Murray Bridge but I will return and leave some space for the Tiramisu, next time. Thank you to the staff and management of this restaurant and keep up the good work. You are providing a great dining experience.
We love Mediterranean. It was our local when we lived in Glenelg. We are visiting from Melbourne and we feel like we are home back at Mediterranean tonight. Thanks guys you are all so welcoming and awesome. Love the food and the whole vibe. Keep it up.
Top spot Glenelg South. Great pizza, staff are friendly and attentive, coffee always good. Can get a tad noisy when full. Overall excellent.
We have been regular customers at the Mediterranean over the past 5 years. Have travelled a lot and eat out regularly. Still cannot find a better Mediterranean ristorante than this. Always busy with plenty of conversation which enhances the experience. Seafood bouillabaisse is the best I've eaten anywhere! I take many of my business colleagues there to eat and they always ask to be taken back whenever they visit Adelaide. This is real gem. Stephen
First timer. The Seafood Paella was such a delight. service was reasonable. The seats are comfy too. finish the afternoon with a walk on the beach. You cant complain too much.
Went for Sunday brunch. First visit here and good choice on the menu. Sat outside. Staff welcoming and attentive. Food was great and pretty reasonable. Would definitely go back

Easily the best place in Glenelg for a relaxed breakfast lunch or dinner. Friendly and efficient service, great food and excellent coffee. Try their omelette for breakfast, chicken focaccia for lunch and salmon risotto for tea. Brilliant.
Great Specials. This place is one of my favs, it has a great location and ample parking, plus guaranteed good feed. Menu is impresive and meals come out with a modern touch on popular favorites. Specials are always worth a try and never boring. Service is consistently good, and meal times are pretty spot on considering how busy they get. Both staff and kitchen always seem to be organised and alert towards customers. Big thumbs up.
Likes it. Having been a local for many years, the area needed a place like this. Although not a fine dinning experience, this place caters for the area, good food, friendly staff & owners, and a relaxed atmosphere. who needs to go to jetty rd?
It was such a beautiful morning we decided to sit a bit longer and have this coffee that Mr. Foodie has been raving on about. The coffees were indeed superb with very smooth and aromatic with good creme. It was a very enjoyable and delicious breakfast, we were ready for bed again having filled ourselves up to the neck. Wouldn't mind going for dinner to see if it is just as good.
