This place is phonemenal! We ordered a range of fresh oysters, sweet potato chips, arancini and garlic bread and all the food was flawless! The staff are super friendly, the ambience and view is incredible! Will be back again with the kids. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere and customer service. The staff was nice, attentive and friendly. Salt and Pepper Squid was amazing, one of the best, good batter and serving size. We ordered 2 dozen of Oyster, the Natural one was the best, so fresh. We loved the Atlantic and Thai flavours as well. The Kilpatrick sauce was mediocre sadly, a little too much tomato sauce. Apart from that, it is a great place for drinks, we loved the cocktails. Overall, it was a great experience, would definitely come back!!

We came here for my girlfriends bday, food was yummy and oysters were delicious, which is the usual for the Oyster Bay.. but we have to say that the staff were so undfriendly and it felt like they just couldn’t be bothered at all and that we were just in the way. When a customer is more friendly then the staff then something is wrong with this picture. No smiles, no thank you for dining here or just making any effort whatsoever..we usually rate this place but all four of us were disappointed and won’t be coming back here. Honestly if you want to work in hospitality then please at least try to look as if you are enjoying your work and treat your customers with care and kindness..after all, we are the reason you have your job.. feeling disheartened to say the least.

We made a booking for dinner but were late by our own fault and our table was given away, however the wait staff were amazing and found us a beautiful table with marina views and had it set in 3 minutes. The food was fresh, delicious and great value.

Everything Oysters here, along with plenty of quality Beer, Wine and Oyster Shots available in a great location overlooking the Holdfast Shores Glenelg Marina, with the Glenelg Foreshore at the back of the Restaurant..

Super fresh and delicious food, staff is very helpful. My only criticism is that it's a bit difficult move a wheelchair around inside but it can be done.

It was good. I went on the weekend and there was a band playing my favourite song. Another ⭐️for that.

Extremely disappointed and very embarrassed by the service that me and my family received tonight. I started with a tab (bill #1052501) ordered our drinks and after 30mins my family was asking where the drinks were... I came in and asked and Conor told me he completely forget about them and that they would be out soon.. 20mins later they were... and again not all of them because I also forgot that an hour ago I order 5 oyster shots which the waiter reminded me if I still wanted them... Yes Please. Not off to a good start. Our food started to come out BACKWARDS. All our food was very staggered coming out and every time the waiters tried to take the table number away, we had to continuously remind them that we are still waiting on 4 more dishes. Our entree antipasto platter came out significantly last, last enough that we had already finished a dish or two which she cleared off the table. Politely I questioned the waiter as to why our entree has came out last? To which she rudely snapped back that I should have ordered them separately if that’s how I wanted it as all their food comes out all together. Great food terrible terrible customer service though.

Great food that ensures a return time after time , atmospheric setting is on point anytime of day evening or night ,and friendly accommodating staff make the oyster bar a pleasurable place to be whilst enjoying a nice cold beverage with entre main whichever the occasion. 5/5

Great spot looking over the Marina plus visit from a seagull. The oysters so fresh next time I'll have a dozen, I had the seafood platter just thought there could be something else instead of salmon, nice cold Chardonnay overall very enjoyable.

We have beening eating there for the past couple of months for lunch on a Saturday. 1 doz Oyster's and a Platter. Absoultly yummy BUT last Saturday our fault we left our glasses home we picked the wrong platter to us it wasn't what we liked but we still ate most of it. Service is good and friendly and best of all food is amazing. Thanks we will be back

Awesome place and the oysters are top notch but sadly the most disappointing thing is when you spend over $600 on a birthday celebration doing the oyster challenge this restaurant offers and you get your name on a plaque stating what you achieved. Well I did 10dz on my birthday in February this yr n still waiting to see my name up there been given lots of bullshit excuses! Go to enjoy quality seafood but don't hold ya breath for bring recognised for achieving any challenges!

Had a lovely 40th cocktail birthday celebrations , platters were small but tastey, kilpatrick oysters small but ok, plates & cutlery provided for cake was good . Waiters helpful , friendly but clearing service slower than I expected , but it was busy so I think they did there best considering . Thanks. All twenty guests had a good time , & so did I. Thanks to everyone for your efforts at the Oyster Bar. Four stars 😀👍🏼

Just an amazing place to while away the day with great food and drink in Adelaide's best seaside venue

Wow... we had an awesome start to our celebrations. The oyster bar was starting to get busy but we got a seat straight away. After 3 dozen different oysters we were done! They were some of the freshest, tastiest oysters I've had. Will definitely be back !!

Oysters to die for Second to none and the service tops it all off for a great experience

Love it! Love it! Love it! We have bumped into so many younger friends there and always have a fantastic time. Always busy on the weekends. Good food and wine!

What a beautiful place to sit on a sunny day watching the world past by. A really good oyster menu with some other options as well. Always has a chilled and grilled special for the month. Great cocktail and wine list with friendly staff. Always a lovely place to catch up for lunch.

Best place on Adelaide to quench your craving for the best oysters in the city. Hands down no other place for oysters I would recommend. If you old school then natural would be perfect & if you are experimental like me then chilli cheese would become your new favourite.

Tonight, we were told by the venue manager we would not be seated as we had a toy poodle with us, not even outside tables. We NEVER HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE when we dined outside at your restaurant. I was told customers may have allergy. I even asked if we could wait for very end table and kept our little dog at the very end. The manager replied yes if we tied up our dog outside their area. I asked how about the light pole (it was not under the shelter in between the oyster bar and the next door restaurant). He said my dog needed to be tied up at the next restaurant. I do not know when its been changed dog not allowed. We felt discriminated and we left. Do not recommend any dog owners. We found the manager was disrespectful and tried to push us away.

Along the Glenelg pier lays a quaint and lively seafood experience, it is known as the oyster bar. Whether you come here when it’s brooding or a quiet Tuesday night one thing is for certain the seafood is delicious. Our favourite combination of the oysters and king prawns is the best we have ever had. To match its consistently high quality of food it boasts friendly service delivered by a bunch of really good staff. In addition to these, the price is very reasonable and additives such as the live music and happy hours makes it a place full of fun and energy. <br/><br/>Could not recommend this place any more, the oyster bar is 10/10. <br/>

Holdfast Shores is like the Docklands of Melbourne. Looks great, beautiful location, but for some reason it doesn't seem to pull in a tone of visitors. There are some gem restaurants however, and Oyster Bar is definitely one of them. The food was spectacular, priced on point, and the service friendly and helpful. Perfect for a sunny day of grazing on the kind of food you only get on special occasions, and a bottle of wine. If you love seafood you definitely won't be disappointed!

It was a hot Tuesday night and the Oyster Bar was very busy.<br/><br/>The good: well, nice oysters in variations. <br/><br/>The not so good: as most bars you have to order at the counter. The oysters were good, however the prawn and avocado salad was very blend, no love. <br/><br/>Would I go again? Yes, for a few oysters and a drink, but not for a dinner as such.

If you like oysters, the Oyster Bar in Glenelg is a must visit in Adelaide. With great surrounding restaurants and picturesque marina views, this place is ideal for a delicious oyster starter or even some tasty cocktails on an adventures night.<br/>I prefer flavoured cooked oysters and this place delivers to my liking with unique options. I personally love the chilly cheese and mornay toppings.<br/>I haven't tried many cocktails here, but the ones I have were rather good. I recommend the Toblerone cocktail for those with a sweet tooth.<br/>The one downfall is the staff. I've had mixed experiences with customer service, but I'm sure I just came in on a bad day.<br/>I have only ate oysters at this bar and have not tried the other seafood options on the menu given that they don't look as appealing as surrounding restaurant main meals. <br/>This is the kind of place I go for an oyster entrée prior to a dinner sitting elsewhere.

Always Happy with the Food and the Atmosphere The entertainment is always great and we love catching up with friends and family there on Wednesday nights

Lovely spot, always a good meal.<br/><br/>Oysters lovely and fresh. Never had an oyster as good as theirs.<br/><br/>Wonderful ambience with friendly and respectful staff always try to make it in when I'm in Adelaide:) Thankyou

Ten years later and the oysters are still divine! Thanks for a great evening of oysters and wine. Your kilpatrick cannot be compared to anywhere on the east coast! Yum!

It is a decent food but far away compare to seafood in nsw restaurant. Fish and chips was a little bit portion compare to other restaurant, Chorizo plate as well. It's just enough portion, not too big but the taste not bad.

The Oyster Bar has always been a favorite of ours! We used to come here weekly so the boys could enter the oyster challenge!<br/>Everything we have ever ordered has been really delicious! The oysters are always lovely and fresh.<br/>My favourites would probably have to be the "Atlantic" and "Thai"<br/>The salt and pepper calamari is good too, cooked to perfection it just melts in the mouth!

The food here is great! Such a nice spot to sit and eat oysters and drink wine.. I always take the family here when they are here on holidays because it's so relaxed. The staff are always very helpful and they usually have wine and oyster deals so you can eat and drink on the cheap. Yummmm!

Fresh oysters with live band~. Live band is on! The atmosphere was very relaxable and warm. We ordered a dozen of Oysters Mixed Natural, Kilpatrick, Chilli & Cheese & Darleyfella. Natural oysters were fresh and in a good size. Generally, I like all the flavours.

Great place for a drink and nibbles. Dropped in for drink one afternoon and had a couple of glasses of wine and a couple of share platters. Great location, great service and great food.

Terrible service. We were treated like an inconvenience by the bar man. Oysters were not coffin bay as advertised.

Chose the oyster bar so I could select from a variety of shellfish while enticing the view. Small but tasty and very fresh coffin bay oysters with Salmon Roe - very nice start to lunch. Then a prawn and avocado salad with lettuce and cucumber, also a fair sized portion and with deliciously fresh seafood. With a glass of sparkling water it came to forty bucks - pretty good!

Not sure if we just happened to go on a bad day for oysters but I'm not suprised that people have eaten 40 doz in one sitting, ours were the size of peanuts. Very dissapointing.

The atmosphere here was great. I went on a sunny Saturday for lunch & it was pumping. The staff were friendly & we tasted about 5 different toppings. The oysters were fresh & lovely & he red wine vinegar & shallots were the best of the day. Worth a visit!

Salt and pepper squid was average and when I enquired about any discount for ordering $1200 worth of oysters I was declined. Terrible service, average food but good location.

Best oysters at the bay. Try the darley ones And I love the prawn twisters. Service was good. Great cocktails. Great start to my Friday night

Food was great- service questionable.. Food was fresh and tasty, atmosphere was very comfortable and enjoyable (they even had a live band) great for a lazy Sunday arvo but when our table asked for a bottle of water after the 3 of us devoured $250 worth of food, the girl told us that she was too busy and if we could get up and go to the bar. Hmmm...though I was a paying customer also??
