Review Sassy Cafe - Glenelg

Carolyn
Great food. Fast. Friendly workers. Only compliants: The blueberry smoothie had no flavour (needs a banana! Or yoghurt!) & we had no idea where a menu was or anything while it was busy. A girl gave us 2 hidden behind the register, maybe pop them out somewhere to grab?

Frank makes the best coffee! The coffees improved when he came. Friendly and helpful staff and tasty food Edit: it is with deep regrets that I drop my review from 5 stars to 4 stars. The coffee is still amazing but the food is so so expensive. The only really affordable thing is the $3 chips Pay extra for more lettuce, tomato or even sauce on the chips? I can tell you about a dozen shops that are cheaper. And $7 for toast with butter? When I can go to the supermarket and buy the sliced bread for that price and make a dozen slices of toast? Mate, go to the bakeries, they’ll give you butter on your bread free of charge.

In my opinion this is the best coffee in Glenelg! The breakfast is great too and the staff are really friendly.

Myself and another mate had the eggs benny which was great however another mate had the scrambled eggs. He was disappointed. I thought the prices were quite reasonable. The cups were a special attention being a but old fashioned style with old style spoon as well. I don't drink coffee but there appearance was good.

When your kids don’t eat or drink then you know. We basically left all our drinks untouched. Paid $14 for 3 little crepes that looked like ones from coles heated in microwave. They were awful and soggy. The smoothie was not even fit for consumption. It tasted like the yogurt or whatever was in there was off. We did not complain as the girls working there looked young and it’s not there fault. We just left.

Poor customer service - we waited for a while before baristas could even acknowledged as no customers waiting. Breakfeast was very expensive.
